The newest recruit Deadlight had was a little...odd.
"Dude, he looks like David Tennant!" Kronos said.
"Who the fuck's David Tennant?" Arya asked.
"Barty Crouch Junior? We're bringing in Death Eaters?" Birch asked. "Well anyways, get his ass on the chair."
Barty Junior was lifted onto a chair, the conjured ropes replaced by more durable chains. "Let's begin the interview!" Birch said as one of the Fanglars pulled out a notepad and a feather, which was enchanted to take notes.
"Now, are you Bartemius Crouch Jr.?"
"Of course." The wizard said.
"Are you a Death Eater?"
"Correct." Barty said, smirking.
"Are you loyal to the Dark Lord?"
"Indeed, I am!"
"How did you escape Azkaban?"
"My mother begged my father to save me as a final request. He loved her like he never loved me. We took Polyjuice to swap places, and she died and was buried in my place. My father kept me prisoner under the Imperius curse for ages."
"What happened during the Quidditch World Cup?"
"See, I've been able to shake the Imperius Curse, stole a wand and summoned the Dark Mark, to scare those traitors who disowned my Lord and avoided Azkaban by lying."
"How about that whole Triwizard Tournament?"
"Master came to save me. Him and a shapeshifter, had a whole plan to restore my Master that involved Potter being in the Triwizard Tournament, and me guiding him through it, once he reached the end, he'd be whisked off to my Master's location to be used in a ritual to restore him to power."
"So you tampered with something to drag some Potter guy into it?" Arya asked.
"Yes. But it won't matter in the end." Barty Crouch chuckled. "They're all only delaying the inevitable anyhow. My Master will return, eventually. It is a matter of time, after all. He is the smartest wizard in the world, so he'd think of another plan. So enjoy your last days, Potter, wherever you are! He will kill you and everything you love." He said with a smug grin. "And the Aurors wouldn't even be able to catch me because any of them were competent. I only got caught because of the byproduct of Potter's magical mishap." He stared at Ink Blotch. "I admittedly am a good Occlumens, which Moody also was. I was a good actor, you should've seen my theater days at Hogwarts. Dumbledore was maybe overworked so he didn't notice me, either that, or maybe he is getting old…" Barty said, then shrugged. "Eh, whatever, you lot seem fun. I'm in."
"Good!" Megafin said, shaking Barty's hand, as the Death Eater turned towards Calamity, and chuckled.
"Ah, I see another familiar face. Young Plightsworth. Looking like your mama. Me, your mama and the Lestranges had a lot of fun torturing the Longbottoms into insanity…" Barty said.
Calamity snorted a little at that. "So, what about the squid man on the floor?"
What Calamity was referring to was an old pirate with a most striking feature, his cephalopod-like head, with octopus-like tentacles giving the illusion of a thick beard, and a crab claw for his left arm. He was dressed in tattered clothes adorned with barnacles and a variety of sea fauna, and in place of his right leg was a crab leg.
"Thank you, thank you," the pirate said with a thick Scottish accent.
Hook's blood ran cold when he heard that voice. Memories long since buried started to bubble to the surface.
"What's your name, sailor?" Hook asked.
"Davy Jones," he answered as he looked Hook in the eye.
Those striking blue eyes that echoed the sea were unmistakable. Hook felt a lump in his throat as he confirmed what he'd already suspected. Hook hadn't seen those eyes since he was a boy, but he'd never forget them. They were the same ones he saw in the mirror every morning.
"Why so quiet, father?" Hook asked. "Don't recognize your own son?"
"Liam?" Davy Jones asked.
"Wait that's my great-grandpa's name...oh my God, I'm the descendant of Davy Jones." Kronos said, shook to the core.
Hook slammed his hook into the wooden table, shaking everything on it.
"Wrong. Guess," Hook said through gritted teeth.
"Killian, then," Davy said.
"And Hook's my great-granduncle?!" Kronos said, shook even more.
"Aye, Killian," he replied. "But it's Captain Hook now."
"How is this possible?" Davy asked. "I left you over a century ago."
"We both found a way to cheat death," Hook answered.
"Aye, that we did," Davy said. "I assume your brother was not so fortunate."
"You shut up about Liam!" Hook said.
Davy and Hook locked eyes. Hook searched for something in his father's intense stare that mourned for Liam, but there was nothing there.
"How did you live so long?" Davy asked.
"I spent the better part of a century in Neverland," Hook answered. "I was biding my time until I found myself a way to kill a crocodile. It's a tale of woe, revenge, Dark Curses, a crime syndicate that pays well and gives cuddles, me somehow deciding to date a zombie, and resurrections. One you need not be concerned with. It's your tale here that matters. So tell me, father, where does a scoundrel like you run after he abandoned his sons on an old ship with no money, no prospects and no one to care for them?"
Davy sneered. "Do not presume to take that tone with me."
"Oh, I will take whatever tone I want with you," Hook said. "Because you're nothing to me anymore, and guess what? I'm the one with the powerful friends who can condemn you to a fate worse than death. Now talk!"
Davy raised his eyebrow, half-angry and half-impressed at his son's impertinence.
"Very well then," Davy replied. "I knew that soldiers were waiting to arrest me at the next port, so I fled on a life boat. They'd have hung me if I'd remained. The sea was not kind to me. My boat was destroyed, and I was cast into the depths. I washed up on the shores of an island named Ogygia, the home of a treacherous sea goddess named... Calypso."
Just saying the name Calypso seemed to hurt Davy Jones. There was a longer story involving the sea goddess, and everyone had suspicions, though he did not pry.
"I was tasked by her to ferry the souls of the dead lost at sea on another world," Davy continued. "I was bound to the Flying Dutchman, and later I was the victim of a terrible curse that turned me into the most fearsome monster on the seas, robbing me of my humanity. That is, until a meddlesome pirate named Jack Sparrow caused me to be leashed to the control of a sad little man hungry for power, a state I remained in until a foolish pair of lovers ended my suffering permanently... or perhaps not so permanently as the case may be."
"I can ask Kiko to arrange for you to return to the depths," Megafin said.
Everyone was surprised at the smirk that crept onto the pirate's face.
"That would be a sight to see, now wouldn't it?" Davy said with a light chuckle. "Might not turn out the way you'd want it, though. The depths and I are old friends."
"I don't know what the bloody Hell that's supposed to mean, and I don't care," Hook said. "So why don't you just do what you're good at and run away like the coward you are?"
Davy stroked his beard thoughtfully. "I suppose I could do that. I'm sure I can purchase quite comfortable assurances by leveraging what I've seen. After all, I'm certain there are quite a few parties interested in those 'Eternal Sources' that man named Kaos was yapping about before I tossed him into the kraken's jaws."
Hook clenched his teeth. "You've made your point. What do you want?"
"Perhaps I simply wish to see the crew my son has taken up with?" Davy answered.
"Or you've set your eyes upon the Eternal Sources, and you're plotting to take advantage of the power it can give," Kronos realized, then he laughed maniacally, disturbing Hook and Davy. "Damn! My great-great-grandpa's got the guts to try and fight an army of Skylanders and steal the Elemental Sources, gotta admit, I can see where I got my guts from."
"Perhaps that as well," Davy answered, still freaking out that his great-great-grandson's a pirate with enough guts to look him in the eye and spit in it.
Roman flew over the factory and looked at the scenery, crashing into many civilians.
"And here we are. This place really is smelly, that's for sure. I can see why the snake wanted to come here." Roman said, holding his nose as they found a place to land (read: crash without causing many deaths).
"Ugh. It had to stink." Mine said. "Let's just get to the main source and shut off this stupid stink."
The group made it to the outer factory where they saw an army of Evilkin and a sealed door.
"Hey Seryu, remember the bandit fort?" Tatsumi asked.
"It is pretty similar. A strike from the front like last time should work. Number 5!" Seryu said as her arm became a large drill. "Judgment of the Ten Kings, Enma's Spear!"
She charged into the Evilkin and ripped them to shreds. Koro then leaped from her back and chomped on one.
"Followed by, Number 7!" the drill converted into a cannon. "Taizan's Cannon!"
The door was blown off its hinges, and the squad headed inside, only to see a giant snake.
Fire Viper! (Fire Trap)
"Well, this should be easy." Akamei said, rushing at the Fire Viper, as she cut the viper across the waist and knocked him out.
"Two seconds. She finished a dangerous criminal….in two seconds." Snap Shot said.
Fire Viper Defeated!
The Fire Viper growled and hissed as he vanished through the portal. A gillman then came up.
"Wow! You took out that viper fast!" the gillman said. "I can see that you are good heroes, but there still is the cheese monster problem, and if you can get rid of the cheese beast, we'll cut off the supply to the doctor." the fish man said.
"You have a deal." Esdeath said.
Just then, screams and cries came from the centre of the factory where water then surged out a door as a new form came out. It was heavily muscles with white sea foam lining the muscles of a humanoid figure. The shoulders looked like they had spikes which were designed after furious waves. The back was covered by the same spiked waves with white tips that were rather large. The head of the creature looked like a giant triangular wave which was white at the top and two white eyes in the middle of it all, making it look sinister.
Tsunaminas! (Abstract Trap)
"I'll drown you all!" the monster yelled, as Drakus smirked and took out a USB Memory Stick and slid it into the side of his camera.
"BAT!" the camera announced as it transformed into a robotic bat. It flapped its wings and took off towards the raging monster. Confused, the monster eyed the machine before the robotic animal triggered the flashbulb with blinding flashes of light, disorienting the Dopant and make it rub its eyes to try and get the blindness out.
"And again!" Drakus slipped in another USB Memory Stick into his cell phone.
"STAG!" the phone transformed into a robotic stag beetle which flew at the cheese monster and attacked it with the Bat Shot. The monster roared from the unexpected attack then fled. The X-Squad went after him, only to find that Tsunaminas turned into a man dressed in a blue sleeveless shirt with jeans and chains hanging from his pockets. His hands were covered in black fingerless gloves. In one hand he was clutching something tightly as he was glaring at the squad. Motoko could tell this man was the one responsible for the demon. The hateful aura he gave off could be from nothing less than a demon.
The man turned and watched the squad approach with weapons out. He didn't seem wholly concerned about the obvious threat they represented.
"I used to go to school, you know," he snorted. "Saved every yen I had to do it. A country bumpkin managed to get his way into Tokyo U. Imagine my parents' faces. They were so damn proud. I moved in and had to spend so much to get tuition. Of course, when it seemed like I could do it that's when the bottom fell out. Pop lost his job and didn't seem too concerned about getting another one. Guess he figured a Tokyo U student could get a cushy job and support him instead. He started sucking our cash away and soon I was barely able to afford another semester. I didn't have a choice. I needed money fast or else I'd never get anywhere. So, I swiped some answer keys and started selling them. I was rolling in dough soon enough. More than enough for more years at that school. Then someone had to squeal. I got caught, busted and expelled. Stupid school. Stupid fees. Stupid Pop. They didn't care that I was desperate. Financial aid wouldn't even touch me thanks to my Pop's credit rating. Well, tonight is when I'll get it all back."
The X-Squad got their weapons out.
"I used all that money I got and bought something REAL special," the man grinned. Opening his hand, he revealed what looked to be a dark blue USB drive that was framed with white ribs. There was a letter T imprinted on it with the top that looked like waves of some sort. The word 'Tsunami' was also written on it. "This will get me back everything I deserve." He then pressed a button on the device.
"TSUNAMI!" Taking the activated machine, he revealed a tattoo which looked like a USB port on his arm and pressed the front of the drive against his skin. Blue flashes of energy broke out of the device while it was absorbed into his body. The man's form seemed to turn into water as it shifted and changed within a funnel of rain. His form grew and morphed until it broke free, revealing the Tsunami Dopant, snarling at Motoko.
"I guess I can take you down first!" the Tsunami Dopant snorted as he clenched his fists.
"Let's really amp up that speed. Fire Snake, help us out!" Tatsumi siad
Summoning… Fire!
Total Flame
Embers of Pain
Scorch Earth
Fire!
Fire Viper worked alongside Esdeath as the two bum rushed Tsunaminas at high speeds.
"Hey, I'm more than just a head of info, y'know. Let me in there." Aeron said.
"What will you do is beyond us." Chelsea said.
Summoning...Air!
Spin me right round!
Right round baby!
Merry go round!
Air!
"Down comes me, and a Nightmare Hurricane!" Aeron said, slamming down and causing the entire platform to shake, as Drakus decked the monster in the gut.
"Damn you!" Tsunaminas roared. "Take this!"
Punching forward, Tsunaminas shot several bursts of water that left deep craters in the ground. Okami dodged and rolled around the attacks, proving how nimble she was in the process. Still, the rate of the shots was preventing him from getting closer to the enemy.
"Reminds me of the Magma Dopant," Bangray said. "Only for the sea."
Tsunaminas roared before unleashing more water bullets. However, Drakus was ready as he swung Kalavarn. Fire enveloped the claw gauntlet as it cut through the air, exploding against the bullets and evaporating them as the impacts struck. Double dodged another water bullet before he reached Tsunaminas and punched him in the face, making another fiery impact. Several more fiery punches to the torso and a final fiery kick to the face sent the Dopant flying before he hit the dirt, hard.
"Now for the finale," Drakus nodded as he kicked Tsunaminas in the gut, resulting in a huge explosion.
The X-Squad looked on as Tsunaminas fluctuated between his human form of Tatsuya Mizuki and his Tsunaminas form. The Tsunami Memory was ejected from his body and it shattered to pieces, leaving an exhausted Tatsuya in-between his forms and a broken piece of blue plastic and metal behind.
Tsunaminas defeated!
"Hey Portal Master, hit us with an Abstract Trap!" Gecko said.
"What? Oh crud, what the HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKMKKKKKKKKK?!" Tatsuya screamed as a blood red vortex dragged him through. "Ugh! Wait, that's it? I must have overreacted!" Tsunaminas then punched the wall, only to see that his hand was stuck. "Then again... maybe not."
"Now, let's go, and never speak of this again." Drakus said.
Meanwhile at the Night Hooligans mansion, Kraven sat on a throne as Edvard was being fanned by a hunter. "Faster!" he called out.
"Yes, Mr. Edvard." the hunter said.
Venomquake then ran in as fast as his mech's spider legs could. "Malice, the Skylanders have cut off our supply of cheese." Venomquake said.
"Fine. We're better off without that smelly stuff." Edvard said.
"But hold on. I have a backup." Venomquake said taking out some cheese.
"What? We still have cheese?" Edvard asked. "But I don't smell the stink."
"Cheese smells worse the more it ages. So, we just need to let it age for over 10,000 years." Venomquake said, chuckling.
"We don't have that kind of time!" Kraven said.
"All we have to do is bury it, travel forward in time and retrieve it there. But in order to time travel….we're gonna need a portal master." Venomquake said.
"Oh. Is that all? In case you didn't know, thanks to the one guy dying, and we can't exactly get Eon, there's no portal master in Skylands but the 12 that're facing us!" Edvard said.
"Enough! I'll handle this myself, but we still need to handle the X-Squad." Malice commanded.
"But how are we gonna get there?" Edvard asked.
"Hey, already got that covered." Venomquake said.
"Huh? What is this? You are invited to the reopening of...Kaos' old Wilikin Factory?" Spyro said, reading an invitation.
"It's a trap, you dolt. They probably took it over as a trap to lure us there." Mystle said.
"Guess it's an opportunity to trap Venomquake. He's the inventor of the Midas Project, so he knows what it does." Najenda said.
