Sorry for taking so long with this, got writers block at a certain part, then the deal with AI put me in a dark spot mentally, but I got help and am doing better. Tell ya what though, I better understand what folks in a bad headspace go through now and how hard it is to get out of it. Going to focus on having fun, honestly I think my writing improved(still need to work on grammar lol). Oddly enough I think this experience might help me better flesh out Himiko, meeting her english voice actress tomorrow. Let me know what ya'll think!
I don't own MHA/BnHA, please support the official release.
"Oh I met him near the beach, he defended me from some guy who wouldn't take 'no' when I told him I didn't do compensated dating," Himiko lied.
"Oh really!?" The lady said, suddenly alarmed. She had introduced herself earlier, but Himiko had already forgotten her name.
"Ah, n-no-no I-" the green haired guy tried to stammer out the truth, but Himiko verbally steamrolled him.
"He grabbed my hand and said: 'Hime c'mon, the cops are going to be mad at us if we're late,' and proceeded to drag me away." Himiko said while grasping her blushing cheeks and shuffling in place.
"My Izu did?"
Said "Izu" in question was gaping like a fish at the sheer volume of lies Himiko spouted.
Earlier she had quickly taken her shoes off and walked past the Izu-guy and introduced herself to his mom. The guy was so frozen in shock that she had been able to talk to his mom for a solid two minutes before he rushed to take his shoes off.
"Then he looked at the hand he was holding mine with, turned bright red like a tomato, and then ran into a tree before running away in a different direction," Himiko lied with a giggle.
"Yeah, that does sound like him," the woman said with a nod of understanding.
"Eh!" He turned to give his mother a shocked expression, not that she could see.
"Then I ran into him today and he invited me home!"
The Izu guy's jaw hit the floor.
"He was all: 'I-I, h-home, I-Im, I'm going home,' with a huge blush on his face. It was so adorable! I've never been asked in such a roundabout way, so I said yes and followed him home! He was shaking and trembling the entire time while grabbing his head muttering how he couldn't believe this was happening!" Himiko explained, going the extra mile to make sure it sounded like a misunderstanding.
Himiko figures it would be more believable if the guy's mother thought she was led there by mistake.
"Pffff," the older woman barely holding in her laughter. "Oh I see," she let out with a smile while giving Izuku an amused knowing look.
She bought it, Himiko thought to herself with a smile.
"Oh dear," the woman suddenly said in a panic that Himiko instantly saw as false. "We ran out of tea the other night, and we don't have any snacks either."
"...Eh?" Izu-guy let out in confusion as he turned to look at his mother who was now making her way to the door.
"I better go get some! I'll be right back~" the lady let out in a good natured tone as she grabbed her purse from a nearby counter.
"Ah!" He let out, finally realizing what was happening."W-wait-"
"Oh, I might take a while trying to find good deals~" she warned while sending her son a subtle wink–which Himiko still caught but decided to politely ignore–before quickly making herself sparse.
"I-its no-not like that! It's really not like that at all!" He said, his voice becoming more firm with desperation near the end. But his mother had already left their home, the door had closed by the time he chose to speak.
The two youths were alone in the apartment.
For a moment it was very quiet.
"Buahahahahaha!" Himiko burst out laughing as she jumped backwards, landing on the couch.
"It-it's not funny!" The guy said. He looked at her.
He froze.
His face turned bright red.
He instantly angled his head up and kept his eyes glued to the ceiling.
Himiko continued laughing uncontrollably, her body rocking side to side, her legs kicking up and down uncontrollably while she held her stomach, unable to see the boy's flustered state.
"It's not!" The guy continued to whine as her laughter began to die down, his blush dying down with it, but he kept looking up.
"Oh wow," Himiko let out as she wiped tears away from her eyes, "I-I can't, I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard," she admitted, her gut still spasming against her will, forcing laughter out against her will.
She sat up when her body stopped spasming and leaned over the arm of the couch.
"L-listen," the guy began trying, and failing, to use a commanding tone while avoiding direct eye-contact, "you, you should g-go home. Y-you're t-trespassing," he said.
"So," Himiko began before she pointed at a door, "is that your room?" The door in question has a name tag with All Might Hair as decoration and labeled as "Izuku".
"...Ah….no?" he answered, not even looking at where she was pointing.
"..."
"..."
Himiko quickly bolted from the couch to the room! The Izuku guy was stunned for a moment before he chased after her.
"Pardon me~" Himiko said, even knocking on the door, before she entered.
"D-don't!" The guy said, but it was too late.
"Whoa…" Himiko let out as she stepped into his room.
ALL MIGHT
It was ALL All Might!
It was All Might EVERYWHERE!
He was on the walls! On top of the shelves! He covered the laptop on the desk that had more All Might figures on it! Even the sheets on the bed were All Might! It didn't end there, All Might's colors were on different objects as well–such as the curtains!
"Your," Himiko began with a giggle before it became full blown laughter, "puahahahaha! You're a huge fan boy!" Himiko laughed.
The Izuku let out an embarrassed whine while covering his face.
"Whyyyyyy!" He asked loudly.
"Oh wow!" She laughed. "How long did it take for you to get all this stuff?" Himiko couldn't help but ask, then a thought struck her.
"Wait..." she began.
She turned to look at Izuku, said boy looked back at her through the gaps of his fingers.
"Does this mean you have, like...All Might porn?" Himiko asked with a cheshire grin and slightly red cheeks.
"Wha-NOOO!" He shouted indignantly, which quite frankly caused Himiko to jump in fright at the tone. She didn't expect it from such a passive guy. The guy continued before she could even say anything.
"Sure people dress and act like All Might, but he would never do that! Not to mention the figure isn't right, the tone, the usage of his words, even the muscle tones are different, it's all twisted-and-wrong! In some cases they just put his face on someone else digitally and it always looks bad! Don't even get me started on what passes for a copy of his voice, it's horrible and fake. A true fan of All Might would never enjoy those flawed imitations! It's nothing but a bad perverted imitation of an amazing hero! It's a fraud to everything All Might!" By the end of it, he was out of breath.
Himiko just stared at him in surprised as the guy wound down.
"So…" Himiko began cautiously, her fright dying down "...you have seen All Might porn, then?"
Izuku paused. Then slowly blushed red again and covered his face, knowing full well that he had been caught.
"I….you know, I-I got curious..." he tried to explain.
"Pff, yeah sure. So that means you just have regular porn hidden around here, then?" Himiko said as she began to explore his room for porn.
"Wha-no! I don't have any porn!"
"Oh, right, I get it, you can always look online so you don't need physical copies!"
"Wha-I don't do that either!"
"O'rly?" Himiko asked, clearly not buying it. She turned to look at the boy.
He was still covering his face, his eyes visible through the gaps of his fingers, and Himiko could make out the red on his cheeks.
"Hmm~" Himiko hummed as she approached him with a smirk on her face. She got close to him, only for him to rotate in place, and she maneuvered around with him.
"You're lying~" she teased playfully.
"A-am not," Izuku kept denying as he kept turning away from Himiko. Himiko kept her smile, her cheeks bright and red as she followed his face as he kept turning in place.
"You are~" she teased, "you saw All Might pooooorn~"
"I-I-"
"Either you searched for that specifically, or you were browsing and saw it by chance~"
"Mrrrmm," Izuku groaned as his body shook in place.
Himiko just giggled and went back to snooping around his room. On his desk were a stack of notebooks that caught her attention earlier.
She walked to the desk and plucked one up.
"Hero Notes for the future," she read aloud.
"Ah! Th-that's private," Izuku said in alarm.
Himiko ignored him and jumped on his bed, back first.
She crashed onto the bed comfortably, her head kneading into an All Might pillow, and she began to look through his notes.
"So you wanna be a hero even though you're quirkless?" She asked.
"Wha-how did you know I was quirkless?"
"I took a photo of your student ID," she answered.
"That...WHEN?" He said in mix of surprise and horror.
"Last night. So, is that a yes or…."
"Well, yeah I wanna be a hero," Izuku answered, "but I-"
"You know," Himiko began as she flipped the pages, "these are really…they're…they're pretty…bad, aren't they?"
"...what?" Izuku let out.
"The drawings look bad and the writing is rushed and unhelpful," Himiko lazily critiqued.
"Well I had to draw fast while standing up," Izuku said defensively, "and I wrote only what I needed, the rest I can remember."
"Alright, then, what about this? The Morphin Hero: Animorph-" Himiko began.
"Animorph is a hero that can morph into a variety of animals, something to do with having a good relationship with that specific animal," Izuku quickly recited from memory. "What I wrote down was...yeah I wrote down that Animorph uses the explosive-size morphing to their advantage, similar to Edgeshot's usage of his quirk. Animorph would morph into something like a gerbil and instantly morph back into human or a large animal, using the explosive force of the instant transformation to power-up their attacks. Animorph also used it as a way to dodge attacks, using rapid morphing to morph out of the way of the attack, and I believe one of Animorph's pet had a hardening quirk that Animorph used to defend against attacks with a wide range. Opening up the possibility of using rare animals with unique mutations and quirks-provided a relationship is built."
"Never heard of this hero."
"Well...a couple of years ago...um...some villain found Animorph's pet animals a few months after they debuted and...yeah. Animorph held funerals for the animals and retired. Apparently the animals had to be alive in order for Animorph's quirk to work and they were basically family…."
"...that was dark… so how does being able to go from small to regular and maybe large help you?" Himiko asked.
"W-well…" Izuku fumbled for an answer.
"I'm all ears," Himiko said as she flipped through more pages of his notebook.
"I… I know what to look out for if someone tries it on me, and I could advise someone with a similar quirk how to best use it," he replied.
"Mmm sounds more like coaching and self-defense to me rather than hero work."
"It, it all adds up," he argued.
"Ah huh," she said unconvinced, a plan forming in her head, "so what's your plan?"
"Sorry?"
"You know, your plan! How are you going to make...all of this," she gestured at him with his opened book, "into a hero."
He paused thinking of his word before he stood a bit firmer and made a declaration.
"I'm going to go to UA," he said confidently and a small twinkle in his eyes.
"...Wait, that's it?"
"Huh? Well...yeah," he said in confusion, "I mean if I get into their hero course, they'll have to train me."
"...Okay, sure, but how would you get in there?"
"By passing the entrance exam?" he said questioningly, as if that was the dumbest thing she could have asked.
"Which is what, just questions?"
"Ah well, it's a typical written exam, but there's also a physical exam, at least according to a lot of heroes. I've spoken to a few and seen lots of interviews with UA graduates."
"Can you pass that second one?"
"Well….I'll need to if I want to get in," he said as rubbed the back of his head.
"That's not what I asked."
"..."
"..."
The two stared at each other for a moment, before Izuku looked away.
"I can do it," he muttered, but he didn't look at her, he stared at the floor.
Himiko smirked.
"Alright, how's this? I'll leave, never bother you again, but you have to do one thing."
"Huh, just one thing?" He asked as he looked at her.
"Yup yup!"
Himiko hopped to her feet and stood in front of Izuku, who inched away from her.
She spread her arms out.
He gave her a confused look.
"Pick me up," she said with a smile and slight blush.
"Wh-what!"
"Pick me up, take me all the way to the front door, I'll leave and you'll never see me again. Probably."
"...Just 'probably'?"
"Mhmm," she nodded with a smile.
"...um…" he looked her up and down, "...how?"
"Mm?"
"Ah...how do I...you know, pick you up?" He moved his hands around in front of him, unsure what to do with them.
"Oh you know, say some smooth words and offer to take me somewhere nice to eat!"
"Wait-WHAT!?"
Himiko laughed.
"Kidding!" She laughed, though her face was slightly red at the thought of having another boy, albeit a weak and frail one, court her. "I mean it's pretty straight forward, use your hands to physically pick me up."
"I-I can't do that!"
"Sure you can, your arms aren't broken and I don't think you have that brittle bones thing, you should be fine!"
"No–it's not-it's just….you're a girl."
"Aaaaand you're a boy," Himiko said back. "What's your point?"
"I…I…where I'm I supposed to pick you up from?!"
"Well, if I was injured and you had to take me to get medical help, how would you do it?"
"Ah…well…."
"I guess it depends on the injury huh…well for now, like this," Himiko said as she stepped forward, snatched his hands, and placed them around her waist, beneath her long straight blonde hair, as she pressed up against him.
His face perfectly captured the essence of a bright red tomato with leafy greens.
"Now lift!" She said with a smile that showed off her pearly whites and small flush. "Keep In mind I run track, so I know I'm not that heavy!"
They guy hesitated, but she felt his arm grip tightly around her…and actually lift her off the ground slightly.
"Whoa," Himiko let out, she honestly didn't think the guy had it in him. But it didn't last long. Three seconds at most. Izuku basically dropped her, but the drop was nothing. Maybe a few inches off the floor?
"Oh, done already?" Himiko let out as the guy let go of her and was catching his breath.
"It, it's harder than it looks," he whined.
Himiko put her hands underneath his armpits. Before he could react, she hoisted him up into the air like a kitten. His feet were a good foot off the floor! She held him there nearly effortlessly.
"Holy crap," Himiko said as she locked eyes with Izuku's, "I think you're lighter than I am!" She said in amazement.
Izuku's face reddened again and quickly used his arms for cover.
"Please put me down!" He desperately pleaded.
Himiko laughed and put him down. Izuku whined while Himiko jumped backward onto his bed without care in the world.
"Why are you doing this!" Izuku asked.
"'Cause of last night," Himiko said as she sat up and grabbed Izuku's notebook.
"Last…you mean…."
"Yeah that, I…I couldn't control myself when I saw you. I just had to have a taste ya know," she admitted, using Izuku's notebook to cover her cherry colored face.
"W-what?" Izuku said in both shock and surprise that his red cheek got even redder as he recalled what the blonde did.
"And when I saw you again, I dunno, I figured maybe we could come to an arrangement."
Izuku swallowed a lump in his throat.
"A-arr-arrangment?" he stuttered.
"Yeah, I mean after what we did last night, we're on blood terms now!"
"But we're too-…what? Blood terms?"
"Yeah. I love blood. The taste-the smell, it's magical, especially when my quirk activates. So I figured we could make a deal."
Izuku just stared at her.
"...I have…so many questions," he said.
"Well I got one, you in or you out?"
"Out!" Izuku said, not even thinking about it.
"That was quick," Himiko said in surprise blinking at the speed.
"I don't even know you!"
"I'm Himiko Toga, naiz ta meetcha!"
"O-oh I'm Izuku Mido-no wait that's not what I meant! You're a stranger and you want my blood! In what world would I say 'yes'?"
"This one." Himiko said pointing down with her index finger.
"That's not…ugh," Izuku groaned as he palmed and massaged his face with his hands.
Himiko didn't really say anything and just let the guy think.
He took a deep breath and sat down on the edge of his bed, by her feet.
"Why me?" He finally asked.
"Random chance," was Himiko's answer as she lied down and stared at his ceiling that ALSO had an All Might poster on it. "Last night I…I didn't even know where I was. The good, the bad, I could see both and it was smothering me. There was like, this weird pressure in my head. It's not real, isn't there, I know it isn't. But it is, it's there-pressing against your brain, telling you you're about to be attacked. Even breathing wasn't easy. Then I saw you and the other boys, then I saw you bleeding and…I couldn't stop anymore. I just had to get a taste, otherwise I'd go insane."
Izuku was still as he listened to her, silently digesting her words.
"...jeez, am I crazy," he asked himself. "I actually get that…yeah, I honestly get it; the world being against you for what you are and what you want to do, and it driving you to do something crazy," Izuku said.
"You do, don't you," Himiko said as she looked down to see him staring at the floor with a pensive expression.
She tapped him on the thigh with her left foot, startling him.
"Hey, if you want, we don't have to be friends. We can be islands, instead!"
"Islands?"
"Yup! I'm an island for you, and you for me. I help you get to where you want to be, and you help me with my cravings."
Izuku looked at her and she could see it in his eyes. Hope. They were longing, searching, desperate almost. Then he tore his eyes way.
"...I…how would you even help me." He asked shaking his head. He was fighting against it, convincing himself to decline, she could tell.
She could lie, she could promise him a spot at UA. She could tell him that she would personally put him in the best hero course. She nearly did when she opened her mouth. But the guy still has a ways to go before he could even apply to UA. Her schemes to get blood had a habit of not working or coming back to bite her via her parents. Instead, she risked it.
"I haven't thought that part out to be honest." she admitted. "But if you had to pass the exam, scratch that, if you had to pick me up and take me to the hospital right away, could you do it?"
"..." He opened his mouth and closed it, declining to answer.
"I can't make you a hero," Himiko said "but you'll never be one like this. SO~"
Himiko lifted her legs, and moved them around Izuku's head and sat up at the edge of his bed. With a vocal "hop," she hopped onto her feet and faced him.
"I'll toughen you up instead! I'll help train you so that when UA's entrance exam comes around, you'll at least have a chance. At the very least, I'll make it so you can carry someone like your mom to the hospital."
Himiko stretched out a hand to him with toothy smile!
"How about it? Islands~"
