The Real Gennin Test - 1
The next morning Team 7 minus Naruto arrived at 5 am sharp to find Kakashi not there. Naruto had arrived at place last night and created 30 shadow clones and have them plant fuinjutsu traps throughout the entire woods.
"Ughhh! Where is that stupid sensei and teammate of ours?" Sakura screeched after waiting for a hour, making Sasuke wince.
"Hn, use your eyes, Naruto is just above us." Replied Sasuke pointing towards a branch of tree, under which Sasuke and Sakura were resting. Well Sasuke was thinking about applications of 'Gokakyu (great fireball) jutsu' and Sakura was fawning over him, which he skillfully ignored.
Sakura turned her eyes to the position where Sasuke was pointing and found out Naruto meditating on a branch. She didn't have anything to do, and her dream-crush was not responding to her so she thought of pestering her other teammate "Naruto! What are you doing there?" She again screeched making Sasuke wonder if using the 'Hoesenka-Ryuka combo' on her would be worth it.
Naruto completly ignored Sakura but an amused smile found its way to his face as he addressed Sasuke "It won't be worth it, but believe me it's a close call."
Sasuke smirked at the blonde even though his eyes were closed and replied "Hn! Very close."
Naruto just smiled and went back to his meditation, while Sakura sulked at not being included in their inside joke amd being ignored by even Naruto in addition to Sasuke.
Three hours later Kakashi showed up with an enraged Sakura shouting out how late he was and he completly ignoring her accusations.
"Now the three of you have to come at me in order to get these two bells in order to pass if you don't you will be sent back to the academy so, come at me with the intent to kill; you have until noon to get the bells now go!" Kakashi stated.
All three of them scattered. Kakashi just sighed a bit disappointed that no one attacked him like an idiot. He started to take out book from his pocket for reading but had to stop as he saw thousands of Kunai, raining over to him.
He panicked "Attack of this scale, I don't think it's possible from bunch of newly graduated gennins. Have enemies infiltrated the leaf without somehow raising any alarms."
He readied his hand signs to form a earth wall but somehow, the Kunais increased their speed. Kakashi got the feeling of getting cut even though he was sure non of those Kunai touched him. His eyes suddenly widened as he murmured "Genjutsu."
At the same time he felt two red eyes with two tomoes in both of them glaring at him. He formed a rat sign and disrupted his chakra with call of "Kai!".
He saw himself staring into Uchiha Sasuke's sharingan eye.
"W-When?" Kakashi asked.
"From start, when you met my eyes." Sasuke replied with a smirk.
Before he could counterattack the Uchiha for daring to face him alone and being cocky, Naruto placed a hand on his shoulder and sunshined few places away.
"A sharingan genjutsu. The academy reports never said about Sasuke having a sharingan. Neither did Hokage-sama, he must have known with that all seeing spherical glass he have." Kakashi murmured.
Kakashi himself sunshined to the place, where he heard some noise. He found Sakura running around calling for Sasuke. He shook his head and flickered in front of the kunoichi.
"Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu (Demonic genjutsu: hell viewing technique)" Kakashi declared as he faded away from Sakura in whirlwind of leaves.
"Huh! What was that?" Sakura murmured confused.
"S-Sakura. H-Help me!" She heard Sasuke's voice.
Horrified she turned in direction of the sound and saw Sasuke riddled with kunai and shurikens crawling towards her. Before he could reach her, he lost his breath and fell down.
"SASUKE-KUN!" Sakura shouted in grief and fell unconscious.
"Mah! She was supposed to be smart and efficient in recognising and breaking out of genjutsu, according to academy report. How did she fell to D-rank genjutsu?" Kakashi scratched back of his head.
"Hmm... what to do? Should I leave her here or tie her to post? Hmm... let's take her, I feel rest of boys will be trouble." Kakashi seemingly agreed with himself but before he could touch Sakura, he had to jump back and a second later two Kunais embeded the place he was standing at.
Before he could blink, a clone of Naruto materialised before him and sunshined Sakura out of there. Following Immidiately, Sasuke finished handsigns of his technique and blew out small fire constructs at him with call of "Katon: Hoesenka no justu (fire style: pheonix flame dechnique)".
Kakashi easily dodged all of the fire constructs and taunted Sasuke "For an Uchiha, your aim surely leaves lots to be desired." While inwardly he was cursing 'Genins shouldn't be able to use such techniques. Then again who am I to say this, when I invented 'Chiddori' at same age. Plus the last loyal Uchiha is said to be a genius and prodigy.'
Sasuke didn't react to his taunts other than a smirk as he pulled a string that was connected to shurikens hidden by fire, from his last jutsu. He then blew a stream of stream of dragon shaped fire into the string "Katon: Ryuka no jutsu (fire style: dragon flame technique)".
Kakashi had little time to react when the fire connected through string consumed him. With a shout of pain Kakashi fell down.
Instead of relaxing or feeling smug, Sasuke immediately went onto gaurd. If I had been a Gennin or Chunnin, it would have been diffrent matter. But a jounin of Kakashi's calibar, wasn't going to go down with such level of attacks.
His instincts came out to be true as in place of Kakashi a log was seen burning to crisp.
Sasuke started to look around with his sharingan "Where could he be. Right, no. Left, no. Up, no. It means..."
"Down... Doton: Shinju zanshu no jutsu (Earth style: double suicide decapitation technique)" Kakashi latched onto Sasuke's both feet and dragged him down the ground with only neck sticking out.
Kakashi himself jumped out and looked snugly at Sasuke "For someone praised to be a genius, you aren't anything special. Look the genius of Uchiha clan trapped and helpless before me."
Sasuke glared at Kakashi for sometimes than smirked "Are you sure?"
Kakashi went into alert and he once again felt Sasuke's sharingan eye glaring at him.
"Genjutsu: sharingan" Sasuke finished with a smirk as Kakashi found himself in Sasuke's place and Sasuke in his.
Kakashi groaned due to annoyance as this time Sasuke taunted him "If someone heard that The Sharingan-no-Kakashi fell into genjutsu by some brat and that also twice, your reputation will be in tatters."
Naruto flickered into existence and again sunshined Sasuke away, and as soon as they got away, the Kakashi who was trapped exploded.
"Bunshin Daibakuha (Great clone explosion)" Kakashi said as Naruto and Sasuke flickered before him.
"Itachi's technique" Sasuke mentioned.
Kakashi raised his eyebrows "Yes, something I learnt from him during our ANBU days. That aside I thought you would be blowing a gasket and attacking me blindly after seeing the technique."
Sasuke scoffed "It doesn't matters. The more of his techniques I face now, the lesser the number of surprises will be in our battle."
"Sasuke, recover your lost Chakra. I will take him up until then." Naruto adviced.
Sasuke looked like he was going to protest, but nodded and flickered away.
"Let's fight one on one sensei!" Naruto grinned at Kakashi.
"You were the deadlast Naruto. Even though Sasuke somehow survived against me alone, do you think you could do the same. You are after all not a genius like Sasuke." Kakashi taunted.
Suddenly there was puff of smoke surrounding Naruto as he cried "It doesn't matter I am not a genius." The smoke dispersed and much to Kakashi's horror Naruto stood in front of Kakashi dressed in green spendex, blonde hair trimmed in bowl-cut and his eyebrows somehow became thick.
"All that matters is my Hardwork. YOUTH!" Naruto shouted with a fistpump much to Horror of Kakashi who nearly started shivering.
Naruto released his henge and started laughing loudly pointing at Kakashi. Kakashi glared at Naruto and spoke seriously "You are not allowed to dress in that horror. Do you understand it."
"Hai~Hai! Now let's fight ne!" Naruto declared as he and four of his clones situated at four corners, slammed their hands on ground and shouted "Hokan Fuin: Kai! (Storage seal: Release!)".
Large amount of water was released from seals and spread inside the four corners. Much to surprise of Kakashi, the water was not flowing over the position of clones.
'Is he pro-efficient in Fuinjutsu? It wasn't also in the academy reports. And the water must be for Suiton(water release) techniques. I am beginning to think the academy records are quite useless. Oh! he knows water walking too' Kakashi concluded seeing Naruto standing on surface of water.
"Very well ninjutsu it is" Kakashi said boredly as he waited for Naruto to attack.
'To think he would wait for me to attack even as he is standing on water released by opponent. Then again I am only an newly minted gennin and he is an elite jounin. That kind of attitude can be explained a bit.'
Naruto finished his hand signs declaring his first technique "Suiton: Mizu bunshin no jutsu (Water style: Water clone technique)". Naruto channeled his chakra into water and many Naruto rised from water at random positions.
"Suiton: Sui kodan no jutsu (water style: water misile technique)" Naruto manipulated his chakra and multiple constructs of water shot towards Kakashi.
"Suiton: suijenheiki (water style: water wall)" Kakashi countered the incoming missile by forming wall of water.
Not relenting Naruto again finished his hand signs in speed "Suiton: Suishouha no jutsu (water style: water shockwave technique)", which resulted in water raising to high altitude and then dropping just in front of Kakashi sending Shockwave towards him.
"Suiton: Takitsubo no jutsu (water style: waterfall technique)". With great speed, Kakashi manipulated water to rise from his back and fall down in front of him imitating a waterfall.
Naruto was impressed as he saw his sensei use a near useless technique in battle to defend himself. He could see why he was made a jounin at young age of 12.
"It is impressive that you know these techniques Naruto, but do you honestly think they will be enough." Kakashi asked mockingly.
"Suiton: Mizurappa (water style: water trumpet)", Naruto spat a stream of high velocity water towards Kakashi. Facing a speed oriented technique Kakashi had no choice but to dodge. He replaced himself with one of Naruto's water clone. Naruto's technique easily cut through the clone and continued on its way cutting through trees and finally dissolving in water.
"That was quite lethal Naruto. Are you trying to kill your sensei." Kakashi asked jokingly.
Naruto shrugged his shoulder and said "It was you who told us to come at you with intent to kill."
"Suiton: Suidan (water style: water bullet)", Naruto spat a spherical construct of hardened water from his mouth which expanded in size as it neared Kakashi.
"Doton: Doryuheiki (Earth style: mud wall)", Kakashi countered, stopping Naruto's technique completly due to elemental superiority of earth on water.
Naruto took this as challange. He and his clones started to go through same handseals and collectively declared "Suiton: suidan rendan (water style: water bullet barrage)".
Kakashi sweatdropped at tenacity of his student. He reinforced his previous mud walls and again slammed his hand into ground declaring "Doton: Taju Doryuheiki (Earth technique: multiple mud walls)".
The water bullet barrage tore through the mud walls, but got dissolved in doing so. Kakashi was going to sigh and once again taunt Naruto when he heard a roar. He looked to his left side and saw a large dragon made up of water glaring at him with glowing yellow eyes, leading him to sweatdrop.
