The Chunnin Exams - 1
Kakashi and Team 7 have briefed the Hokage about their C-rank turned A-rank turned S ranked mission (due to involvement of 2 A-ranked rouge shinobi and movement to free a village from tyrant's control.
Hokage asked Naruto to stay behind when other's left. "Naruto, the chunnin exams are close. I think that it is great time for village to know your apprenticeship to me for being the next Hokage and about your parents. After reading the reports, I am sure you could handle yourself well enough."
Naruto immidietly agreed with Sandaime and gave his consent. After being dismissed by Sandaime, he went to Uchiha compond and saw Sasuke trying to stabilize 'Great fireball technique' after adding more chakra to it.
Sasuke turned towards Naruto as soon as he sensed him.
"Do you even rest?" Naruto asked.
"I have had plenty. And I am nearly finished for today anyways." Sasuke defended himself.
"Very well, take your rest. Meet me tomorrow at the same place. My spy network had reported things that I found quite troubling. There may be an invasion in the village and one of the Sannin, Orochimaru had shown intrest in you. We have 10 days in exams, so I will do my best to prepare you." Naruto informed.
Sasuke's eye widened at the information "Have you told the Hokage about invasion and Orochimaru? And why would he target me?"
Naruto smiled "Sasuke, leaf already have a spy network, obviously they know. And about Orochimaru's intrest in you. Well let's say he had found a cheap way to increase his lifespan. He can posses other shinobi's body. Ofcourse, it has a drawback and he has to change bodies every 3 years now. He wants an Uchiha because of the sharingan as he wants to learn every jutsu in the world. From my network I heard that he tried with Itachi and got his ass handed to him. He had to run from Akatsuki, the mercenary organisation Itachi joined. And now he thinks, you will be an easy pick due to being young. He would entice you with power so that you take his offer and defect from leaf. Then he plans to take over your body, when you would have no defense."
Sasuke shivered as he heard about wierdness of Orochimaru. Naruto soothed him "Don't worry, he will underestimate us and we will take the advantage. From tomorrow I will be training you in heavy hitting techniques, both ninjutsu and taijutsu. You will also learn as many of Sharingan Genjutsu you can."
[Next day]
Sasuke and Naruto were seen participating in Taijutsu. Sasuke had awakened the 3rd tomoe while fight with Haku. To his surprise, Naruto eyes didn't gave him problems. It worked well in conjunction with his sharingan unlike Kakashi's, who have to block his original vision when fighting with sharingan. They chalked it up to lack of Uchiha genes in Kakashi, which helped Sasuke to adjust his donated eye well.
"Very good Sasuke, but you are channeling Katon chakra in your attacks uncounsiously. It will be wastage as Katon doesn't gives any advantage other than melting in addition to pure chakra. And it's a waste against someone like Orochimaru. Channel tiny amounts in your movements, kicks and punches and end it when you create the distance. You have the sharingan which will help you to predict where opponents attack are going to hit. If you are not fast enough to dodge it, Channel the chakra at that spot. It will lessen the damage." Naruto explained.
Sasuke nodded in understanding and started to do as Naruto instructed and to no one's surprise it worked. Sasuke knew that whatever Naruto tells him, works in most of cases. His punch and kicks started getting faster and heavy hitting while he stopped getting tired easily.
Next was Ninjutsu and Naruto taught him many diffrent Justus. He was ofcourse happy to increase his arsenal. Though most of attacks were highly chakra consuming and Naruto had to recharge Sasuke's chakra so that he can continue the training, after he used the techniques once.
For Next five days 'katon' techniques such as 'Goka Mekyaku (majestic destroyer flames)', 'Gōka Messhitsu (great fire destruction)', 'Uchiha flame formation', 'Bakufū Ranbu (blast wave wild dance), 'Goenka (great flame flower)', 'Ryūen Hōka no Jutsu (dragon flame release song technique)', 'Goryuka (great dragon fire) and 'Hōsenka Tsumabeni (Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson), were practised by Sasuke so that he could use them without any chakra wastage.
All of the techniques were B rank or above an very heavy hitters. Sasuke knew many of the large area techniques would have melted Haku's ice, before they started reforming.
Next was the sharingan genjutsus which Naruto had him learn in front of him and practise on special Shadow clones that donot give him memories. Naruto couldn't have let him practise them on him as it wouldn't have worked due to the 'vigilant' seal on his palm.
It had taken 8 days of constant hard training to get on satisfactory level in Naruto's eye. Disceretly Naruto had placed a seal on Sasuke's transplanted eyes through which he used to introduce it to drop and drops of Kurama's chakra. He had learnt that Madara had awakened the Rinnegan after taking Hashirama's cells, but it had taken nearly 40 years for that to happen. But Naruto had an assumption that Sasuke would awaken it earlier due to remanants of Six path chakra in Naruto's eye. Adding Kurama's chakra was a way to speed up the progress even more and to prepare his body for Rinnegan's strain. Unlike Mangekyou sharingan, Rinnegan didn't strained and damaged the eye but took a toll on body and chakra of weilders. Adding Kurama's chakra to Sasuke, Naruto had secured a way to heal strain on Sasuke's body if he wasn't ready by the time dojutsu awakened.
For last two days, Naruto had adviced Sasuke to rest and recuperate while training as less as he can. Naruto himself moved to Forest of death to carry out his contingency plan if they were unable to subdue Orochimaru in straight fight.
Reaching at centre of Forest of death, where even Anko doesn't enter regularly, he made the handsings and slammed his hands on the ground with call of "Kuchiyose no jutsu (summoning technique)".
With a puff of smoke 10 foxes appeared. They were not of any summon clans. Naruto had found them in forbidden forest, tamed and trained them for diffrent purposes. He had all intentions to sign the Toad contract like he did last time.
Naruto also introduced all of the foxes with small but regular doses of Kurama's chakra. That gave them the advantage of enhanced intelligence, more than normal animals, and two of them got ability to manipulate their size and dimensions. Naruto had engraved a seal on both of them to store Kurama's chakra so that they can use it to grow to size of summon Bosses.
The two of the foxes Naruto had dubbed Koda, the alpha and Kona his mate, were the ones to recieve the seal.
Koda was grey colored fox with black tips at his tailend, ears and paws with yellow cannine eyes. Kona was an albino with completly white fur and red eyes. Naruto had dubbed them as Boss of fox summons.
The two of foxes had grown to size of normal mature fox, but had greater speed than others. They were named Dash and his mate Bella. Dash was orange fox with white tips at tail ends, ears and paws, whereas Bella was gold with red at similar pattern of Dash. Naruto had given them the responsiblity to be the messenger fox.
The other two foxes were of the Size of full grown wolves. They were Gray and his mate Oli.
Both were black with white tips for tailends, ear and Paws. To Naruto's surprise, these two foxes have developed a chakra system which was equivalent to size of a jonnin. They had inherited Kurama's elements of Wind and fire. Gray getting the Fire and Oli complimenting him with wind. Naruto had taken most of time to train them both which he dubbed as combat foxes. They were also fast and strong able to take out jonnin level opponents with their animalistic attacks.
The last 4 foxes were the ones who remained in size of their kit forms. They were all capable of spying due to their size and ability in stealth. Naruto had used them numerous times to plant the seals in many of civilians who were part of council. Naruto had also engraved recorder seals that could record the conversation around them when activated. The foxes were intelligent enough to do that. Whereas, the concentration of Kurama's raw chakra had hindered their growth, they had got immense regeneration capabilities in exchange of it.
These four foxes were Kohana, Nikko, Jiro and Yoko. They were ironically the kits of the boss summons Koda and Kona. Yoko was a vixen who took completly after their mother and was albino with red eyes, whereas Jiro was the male and took after the father sporting Gray and black pattern with yellow eyes. Nikko the male fox was grey with white underbelly, tailend and paws while sporting red eyes whereas Kohana was female with reverse colouring of Nikko with yellow eyes of their father.
Naruto didn't dared to experiment with senjutsu chakra. He had seen many toad statues and he didn't want his foxes to be turned into stones. Ofcourse that meant the foxes didn't have ability to use nature's chakra like other summon clans. Neither were they able to talk like others. Though it didn't matter, as in past 5 years Naruto had gotten enough understanding of their communication ability to understand them.
Today he had summoned the foxes as he needed the four fox kits for the contingency plan, which he had taken inspiration from Itachi. He summoned four glass vials from his storage seal. Each of the vial had sharingan in them. Naruto had infiltrated Danzo's lair and replaced them with transformed object with delayed explosive note. Danzo would think the eyes would have been destroyed due to accident. Fortunately Danzo didn't know they were the mangekyou sharingans rather than normal ones. Naruto was going to implant each of the eyes into fox kits.
They were eyes belonging to Uchiha Satoshi and Uchiha Raigeki. Naruto would have liked the eyes of Fugaku which were rumoured to be even stronger than Itachi's, but Itachi had taken steps to destroy Fugaku's eyes and every other mangekyou he had known to exist in the clan. Satoshi and Raigeki were the only ones who had not told anyone in the clan about their mangekyou for some reason.
Uchiha Satoshi's mangekyou ability 'Amenotokotachi (god of heaven)' allowed him to cast a genjutsu that became real for time limit of 5 seconds. The second eye ability was 'Benzaiten (godess of knowledge)' that was perfect counters for any genjutsu related ability even the famed Kotoamatsukami.
Naruto had decided to programme 'Benzaiten' to act on him if he was ever influenced by Shisui's 'Kotoamatsukami', similar to what Itachi have programmed the 'Kotomatsukami' on the crow to manipulate Sasuke in serving the leaf. As much as Naruto respected Itachi, he didn't doubt Itachi would use the genjutsu on Naruto for gain of leaf or his brother. And Naruto's 'vigilant' seal couldn't block the stronger Kotoamatsukami which was in left eye of Shisui.
Uchiha Raigeki's abilities were more simpler. The first ability was 'Raijin (God of lightning)' which enabled him to call upon natural lightning on will. The second ability was 'Fujin (God of storms)' which enabled him to call upon storms.
Naruto implanted 'Amenotokotachi' in Yoko's left eye whereas 'Benzaiten' in Kohana's right eye.
The 'Raijin' was implanted in Jiro's left eye whereas Nikko's right eye held the 'Fujin'.
Naruto dismissed them and then went home. It was the last day and he wished to take rest. Afterall, after the chunnin exams there would be no rest.
