The day after Rebecca and Sara's birthday party, Leonard had one of his rare days when he had time for lunch with Sheldon.
"Hello Sheldon, no Amy today?"
"She is busy all day interviewing for new graduate students, she won't finish until 7pm, she will be having video conferences with Australia and China. They are bringing lunch to the conference room."
"That's dedication, how did we survive without video conferencing?"
"Indeed, how did we cope, your little girls will grow up in a world where we can talk to everyone on the planet via a screen."
"Talking of my little girls, thanks for coming to their birthday party yesterday with Amy."
"It looked like they had a good time."
"Yes, Penny and I are taking the girls to the movies tonight for another birthday treat. That means that I absolutely have to leave at 5pm tonight, I can give you a ride home."

5.15pm, Leonard and Sheldon are walking up the stairs to their apartments.
"We have got home in good time Sheldon, I have got a little bit of time to spare before we have to get ready, care for some tea?"
"Have you got any Earl Grey?
"I am sure we can find some."
Leonard opened the door to 4A
Rebecca said "Hello Uncle Sheldon, where is Aunt Amy?"
"She's still at work Rebecca."
Then Sara said "We like your girlfriend Uncle Sheldon…."

Sheldon drank his tea and then at 5.25pm returned to 4B as the Hofstadter family got ready for their evening out. At 7.01pm he made a phone call.
"Hello Amy, have you finished interviewing, there is something I would like to discuss with you….."
