Single Combat Begin, Yang vs Mercury!
Cinder is sitting in her room, moments after her first sex with Sun Wukong who somehow made her open up her heart to him and even felt those moments together that she wasn't plotting the destruction of Vale and maybe want to be with Sun like those other girls with him.
But even if she wanted to do that, she knew better than to go against her Black Queen and knowing the kind of power she has and what she promised Cinder to become powerful.
"Powerful… Is… Is that what I really want?" Cinder asked herself.
But then her thoughts were interrupted when she heard her Scroll ringing and saw the ID caller being that of a "ROSE MAN" and knew who this is, she answers the call in her usual tone.
"Hello Vega, wasn't expecting a call from you." Cinder greeted.
"Sorry for that, I just wanted to let you know that the emergency plan you told us about is now right in place." Vega informed, surprising Cinder a bit.
"Oh, so you have everything ready on your end?" Cinder asked.
"That's right, the first round being that blonde girl named Yang Xiao Long and your little kicking boy, Mercury Black." Vega mentioned.
"Really? I already have Emerald be ready on that to activate her Semblance on Yang." Cinder said as she walks over to the window.
"You can call it being… extra cautious, gotta make sure nothing leads back to you and my leader would want the world to know that Shadaloo is making its move." Vega said.
Shadaloo, the very dangerous organization that has been trying to take over the world for many years now and has done many terrible things that most were barely alive to survive from their wrath. It was quite a surprise when the dark group made contact with Shadaloo to work together in bringing the world into a world of chaos.
But her Black Queen knew that the leader Bison has his own plan for the world and would need to keep their guard up just in case.
"Very well, I will leave you to that. Just make sure not to get in my way with what I'm after." Cinder said in a slightly harsh tone.
"That is fine, now I am off to enjoy the festival with my beauty." Vega said before hanging up.
"Honestly, that man only cares so much about his beauty." Cinder rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"But even so, once I get the rest of the power… Will it all be worth it?" Cinder asked herself with her eyes glowing for a moment.
(Amity Colosseum)
Cinder is seen in the audience seat while the crowd is cheering loudly for the final part of the tournament to start, something everyone in the kingdom and all over Remnant have been waiting for since the start of the Vytal Festival.
"Oh, I can't wait!" Summer squealed.
"I know, Yang is going to kick ass out there!" Ruby smiled.
"Oh m goodness, did Ruby Rose actually curse?" Weiss surprised.
"Shut it, Weiss! You should be cheering for Yang!" Ruby yelled in Weiss's ear.
"You're not even going to scold Ruby for saying a curse word?" Raven asked Summer.
"Maybe after the fight, but I just really want to focus on cheering for Yang. And you should be cheering too!" Summer yelled in Raven's ear much to her annoyance.
"Sheesh, you remind me of how our team were in the Vytal Festival." Qrow recalled those times.
"Qrow! You're not cheering!" Summer yelled at Qrow too.
"So, huh, any word from Chun-Li and Cammy?" Qrow asked his twin sister.
"They're in their position within the area along with some Atlas soldiers readying themselves with their radar to detect if anyone is using their Semblance toward the ring." Raven informed.
"Good to know, I just hope Master Gouken is right about the enemies being those three otherwise this might've been a wild goose chase." Qrow concerned.
"His instinct has never failed him nor us when it matters most." Raven reminded him of how Gouken can be with his instinct.
Emerald is seen sitting in the front row though unknown to her is that two Atlas soldiers are behind her about one row up disguising at normal civilians, keeping their eyes on her and holding a radar to be ready when she does something or not.
"Now, for the moment you've all been waiting for! The one-on-one finals!" Port announced and the crowd get very excited about this.
At the center of the floating fighting stage are the final combatants for everyone to see the ones who have been decided to go forth in this round.
The ones who are on that stage are Sun Wukong, Yang Xiao Long, Penny Polendina, Mercury Black, Ken Master, Rainbow Mika, one random Huntsman student, and Pyrrha Nikos who looked very trouble with her looking down at the floor.
"Hey, do you know why Pyrrha is looking down?" Nora asked.
"No idea, she went to see Ozpin at his office, and she went back looking fine as always. But I did have a feeling that Pyrrha was feeling troubled in the head." Jaune explained.
"I wanted to ask her what was up, but the final round was about to start. So, I decided to ask her later before her turn came up." Jaune said.
"Oh yeah, this is the moment I've been waiting for!" Mika shouted with excitement.
"Good luck, Mika!" Elena cheered.
"Try not to make us look bad!" Ibuki advised.
Menat was also doing some cheering, but then she felt something off and took a look at her crystal ball seeing the black mist forming from the inside and can tell that it's the same darkness she saw days ago.
"(The darkness is coming, and I fear that it may happen right here in the Vytal Festival.)" Menat thought worried.
"Barty, why don't you explain the rules?" Port asked his friend.
"Ah, it's quite simple, Peter. Instead of a bracket system, each round of the finals will be randomly determined immediately before the match takes place!" Oobleck explained the rules of the one-on-one round.
"Much like any good hunt, there will be zero time to prepare!" Port added with a grin.
"Ah, yes, yes! Now, let's see who our first match will be!" Oobleck said, turning their attention to the holographic screen.
The screen shows the roulette as it starts spinning for the two "random" fighters for the first match with everyone watching and waiting to see who the lucky fighters in the ring will be as the moment of waiting is killing them.
"Come on, pick me!" Sun whispered to himself.
"Easy man, you'll get your chance and maybe you and I can settle who the strongest." Ken smirked.
"I'm looking forward to it." Sun said with a thumbs up.
The roulette stops showing the two pictures of Yang and Mercury.
"Yang Xiao Long and Mercury Black!" Port introduced the first two fighters of this match.
"Break a leg, sis!" Ruby cheered.
"That's only for theater performing." Qrow pointed out.
"(This is it, all according to plan.)" Cinder thought knew she has to go through with it, but not really feeling this as much as she used to.
And then there was something else that happened to her moments ago before coming here.
"Would all other combatants please leave the stage!" Port requested.
"Yang, better give this everything you got." Sun said to his blonde brawler girlfriend.
"Oh please, you act like you don't know me." Yang smirked, then pull him for a hard hungry-like kiss and let him go.
"Show them how you burn!" Sun said with a goofy expression as he walks away, Yang giggles of how she made him be all goofy.
The fighting stage started to set itself in position and stage lights came on pointing at the two fighters, Yang wishes she brought her sunglasses.
"You better not go easy on me." Yang smirked.
"You wish." Mercury laughed darkly.
"You know, I've always been curious about how strong Mercury really is." Sun said to Ken.
"Me too, can't wait to see it and get excited to face him." Ken smirked.
"That is if you'll get through the quarter round." Penny pointed out there still other fighters he has to face.
"Combat ready as always?" Sun asked.
"Affirmative!" Penny saluted.
(Music: Strongest Alive, Death Battle Deku vs Asta)
Yang and Mercury stare at the crowd one last time before facing each other started approaching toward each other with their arms up for defense until their hands are so close almost like they're about to touch.
"Three! Two! One! Fight!"
Yang threw the first punch while Mercury threw the first kick at the same time causing the two attacks to collide and push each other away a few feet, but Mercury doesn't stop as he charges in for a flying kick only for Yang to jump over Mercury and attacks with some shotgun blast though he rotates his body to avoid them.
"Don't let him get any chance to counter!" Raven advised.
The two enter a close-range combat for a moment until Yang was able to land a fiery punch on him, but at the coast of Mercury also landing a blow on her with his boot pushing each other away.
"(Damn, he sure knows when to 'kick' things up a notch.)" Yang thought punned.
Yang fires some that Mercury dodges each shot and jumps over for a strong axe-kick that Yang was able to hold off with her arms and push him away, she tries to throw a blast punch while he was in the air, but he recovered too much that she misfired, and Mercury threw a backflip kick that knocks her in the air. But the blonde fighter recovers and launches herself at Mercury throwing some blast punches making Mercury defend himself and counter her kick to force her down.
Mercury flips forward to drop a kick right for the head, but Yang was able to move out of the way and tries to slam her fist at her still down opponent but he quickly recovers and manage to land a couple of kicks on her and one seem to have pass her only for that kick to go up higher and slams down almost hitting Yang as she rolls out of the way and the kick causes the steel floor to shatter. They exchange one kick and Mercury goes in for two kicks and landed the second one to make her stumble back a little.
He performs a little breakdance movement to showoff a little before changing at Yang to kick her away, but she punched that kick away and threw an uppercut followed by an elbow hit in the stomach with a blast punch to knock him down.
"Yeah! Keep serving those punch beverages!" Sun joked as he cheers for her.
Mercury groans a bit thinking this girl is somewhat good, he looks up and gasp to see that Yang is firing her gauntlets and he quicky backflips to get away but one explosion from one of those blasts knocks him off the ring, but he wouldn't stay out for long as he uses the air Dusts from his boots to blast himself back in and right back at Yang. They exchange blows onto each other again with Yang doing most of the defend and throwing a couple of shot punches, but Mercury managed to get one hit sending Yang back several feet and fired a white blast that she quickly dodges.
Mercury grins and started unleashing more air blast from his boots not just at Yang, but also spinning around to create more air shots in every direction for a big finishing attack.
"He's up to something." Qrow pointed out.
"Yang needs to either finish this or withstand that to finish him off for one final attack." Raven said.
"Can't she just use her Semblance to finish the fight?" Ruby asked.
"As a last resort. Remember, she can't just keep using it in every fight to win and need to save up the energy for one final attack." Raven reminded the little rose girl.
"Oh right, I have forgotten about that." Ruby said.
Yang finally got close to throw a punch at Mercury though he parries and counters a couple of her strikes before he sent her flying in the air with a kick and jumps after to slams her back down with the dozens of swirling air shots that were swirling around have all come down hitting Yang causing lots of strong impacts on her.
Mercury believes that he has won this bout and walks away only for a few feet when a blast almost hit his foot and looks back to see that Yang is standing again.
"This fight is NOT over!" Yang shouted and blasted herself forward.
"Go, Yang!" Blake cheered.
"Knock him dead!" Raven smiled.
Yang ready one fist to hit the guy as he blocks it with his arm and goes on with throwing some more punches aiming for the stomach and face and other spots in between those areas, Mercury does his best to block them and manage to kick her away though only a foot because she grabbed onto his leg.
"Gotcha!" Yang smirked as she activated her Burn Semblance to unleash her attack.
"Oh shit!" Mercury said before immediately getting pulled in by Yang.
Yang begins unleashing one powerful punch that made him cough up in pain and stumble back a little to unleash a quick and fast barrage of punches onto Mercury for a moment until she threw in one last punch in the stomach that causes his Aura went down to zero and was sent flying about ten feet away.
And the buzzer sound went off signaling the end of the match.

"What a way to kick off the finals!" Port commented excitedly.
"Yang Xiao Long wins!" Oobleck announced as the crowd cheers for Yang.
"Gotta say, that Mercury boy was strong to even make Yang use her Semblance like that." Summer pointed out.
"Yes, no arguments from me." Raven nodded.
"Oh yeah, that's my dragon girl and I'm so going to feel that fists when I face her!" Sun excitedly.
"Only if she can get past me." Ken smirked.
"Or any of us." Mika added.
"Okay, you guys are on." Sun said.
"Better luck next time." Yang said as she turns around.
"…There won't be a next time." Mercury muttered.
Just as Emerald have started to use her Semblance, the Atlas soldiers' radar went off alerting them about the girl using her Semblance.
"Hold it right there." The Atlas soldier 1 grabbed Emerald by the arm.
"What the fuck?" Emerald gasped.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" A sudden loud laugh was heard from the fighting stage.
Suddenly a large red fist came out from the floor very close to Mercury that he was send flying and that very red hand grabs him by the leg and slams him down making him cough out a little blood.
"Finally found you, bastard!" Balrog smirked down at Mercury.
"What the fuck…?" Mercury groaned.
"Balrog!" Sun gasped along with the rest of the crowd, including the ones who know who are shocked to see this.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I don't mean to alarm you, but it looks like we have intruders and they're the really dangerous ones!" Oobleck gasped as he and Port are shocked as well.
"Okay, I don't know what is going on here, but I know that is not good." Yang said.
"You're right, it's not." Vega smirked suddenly appearing behind Yang and knocks her away with his claws.
"Mercury Black, we've been looking everywhere for you. I see that you've been using the legs we gave you for something so foolish and ugly such as becoming a Huntsman." Vega walked up to Mercury who is being hung upside-down which confuses him.
"Just play along, act like you knew us but went against working for us." Vega whispered into his ear.
"We put our heart and soul into making those for you." Vega acted.
"And try making me into a killer? No fucking way." Mercury said, playing along with the act.
"Then we'll just take them back." Balrog smirked and Vega used his claws to slice the robotic legs off, big revealing to the world as they gasp.
"And now we're going to kill you!" Balrog started punching down Mercury hard, making him bruised up and bleeding.
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Yang shouted as she charges in.
"I don't think so." Vega smirked under his mask and unleash a swarm of rose petals at Yang and each are like deadly blades that are sharp enough to cut through her aura making it depleted and down with dozens of cuts on her body.
"I will try and give you a beautiful death." Vega jumped high and dives down to stab Yang in the head.
But then a red sword appears catching the claws between the blades and move them away from Yang, Vega turns his head to see that Raven came out of a portal with her Kindred Link Semblance and Chun-Li came out fast to kick Vega away.
Cammy and Qrow are also here with Summer knocking Balrog away from Mercury.
"I didn't think Shadaloo would do something like this." Summer said.
"They can be full of unfriendly surprises, but now we can take them down and take them in for questioning." Chun-Li glared at the two.
"I like to see you try." Balrog laughed.
"Raven, get them out of here." Cammy ordered.
"On it, but I'm coming back to get the bastard for hurting my daughter!" Raven nodded and quickly hurry over to Yang.
"You boys are going to regret trying to ruin a fun festival for everybody." Qrow said as he brings out his sword changing it into its scythe mode.

The fight of Yang vs Mercury went off great like in the anime with the small difference that being Emerald getting caught using her Semblance, but it looks like Shadaloo had their own plan of covering Cinder group's track by crashing into the party for their own little fun.
