I fell asleep in his arms, feeling at peace after such a long time. I had all my memories back and was finally with the one I love, but there was still the one thing we hadn't talked about. Was he married? What happened to his so-called fields? Does he know what his father did? Were we still bonded to each other? Questions swirled through my mind as I drifted off.

When I woke, I was alone in my bed. I looked at the spot where he slept and saw it was covered in a mixture of our blood. I groaned and rolled over to try to go back to sleep when I heard my door open and Mina came into my room.

"Serenity, get up. You're going to be late for school."

I groaned again and pulled the covers over my head.

"Serenity, GET UP" Mina yelled louder, pulling the cover from my hand.

"Why are we in high school?" I whined, "We're, like, 500 years old."

Mina walked into my closet and yelled over her shoulder, "Parents rules," before coming back and throwing my uniform at me.

"Come on, put this on. We don't want "the parents"to come in and see the scene you and Endymion left on your bed."

She put her hands up before I even got to speak, "You can lie to everyone else, but you can't lie to me. I know you, Serenity, and I know your history. Put on your uniform and come downstairs. Lita, Rei and I will be waiting so we can go to school together. We have the group back." Mina winked, walked out of my room and closed the door. I groaned again and got up, pulling the sheet from the bed. At least my maid knew not to speak. She's been with me for a long time; I found her when the undead killed her parents and took her under my wing. Since then, she has been my maid and knows all of my secrets.

I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, and washed my face. I looked at myself in the mirror; it was almost like I hadn't seen myself in years. All the memories of Endymion and I kept flashing in my mind. I put my hand over my heart and felt it beating rapidly. Now that all of my questions from my past had been answered, I had to wonder… what had I missed since I was gone? I knew a couple of people that would answer my questions. I smiled at my reflection in the mirror and started putting on my makeup. I decided to go natural, but made sure I had my signature eyeliner. Students at the school were going to be shocked by my new appearance, but this was how I used to dress and who I really am.

I decided to wear my black fishnet stockings and favorite black heels with a bow in the back. I plaited two braids on each side of my head and tied them together with a black ribbon.

I grabbed my bag from the chair by my desk and headed downstairs where Mina was waiting for me.

"Well, look at you! Serenity is really back," Mina said, looking me up and down.

I just smirked.

"Who are we killing today?" I turned around to see Rei and Lita walking in together.

"I thought I was late?" I looked at Mina, narrowing my eyes.

"I just said that to make you get up." She stuck her tongue out at me and walked to the door.

I rolled my eyes and looked at Lita, "Aren't you supposed to be protecting your big cousin Endymion?"

She walked towards me, grabbed my hand, and pulled me towards the door.

"What? Do you want me to tell my big, bad cousin that you want round 3,4 and 5?"

I rolled my eyes petulantly at her, "No."

Lita laughed and I felt my cheeks heating up from embarrassment. I know that they knew about my relationship with Endymion, but her saying it out loud made me want to hide.

"No, I don't have to protect him anymore. He requested it."

I pulled her to a stop and looked at her in shock. I'd never heard of him being unprotected. Lita was the oldest of us and had been in charge of protecting Endymion ever since he was crowned the prince.

"The King agreed to it," she shrugged, "I was surprised, too, but he said that the crowned prince and future king shouldn't be coddled anymore."

I couldn't believe it. There had to be more to the story she wasn't telling me.

There wasn't time to delve deeper into the story, so I quietly followed along and got in the car with Rei, Mina and Lita and went to school.

It seemed like everyone was staring at me while we walked into the school— I guess it made sense… It had to be a shock for people to see me get out of the car with the girls dressed as I was. We walked the hall in the school and stopped by the window to talk.

"So…." Mina said coyly, hugging my arm.

"Sooooo… what?" I asked, knowing full well that she wouldn't let me evade the question.

"Are you going to tell us what happened last night, or do we have to play the old guessing game because, clearly, you remember everything now?" Rei said, crossing her arms.

"You know I don't kiss and tell, " I half-answered with a smirk.

"No, but you gave me head and told." Kunzite's amused voice made me pull my arm free and turn to see him holding a black choker out to me. "Here, he said to give this to you to hide umm… you know... your marks."

I took it and put it on as blood rushed to my cheeks.

"Come on, we all know how you and Endymion are. Don't get shy with us now," Lita laughed.

"For real, Y/n," Kunzite leaned down and whispered in my ear, "If you are really back to the old you, I have to wonder if you are even wearing underwear."

I knew the game he was trying to play and had no problem playing along. I smiled as innocently as possible, put my hand around his neck, pressed my body closer to his and purred, "Wanna find out?"

Kunzite smirked but, before he could answer, the bell rang.

I let go of him and smiled, "Maybe next time."

Kunzite growled, "I'm burning that bell." I laughed and made plans with the group to meet at the school garden for lunch before walking to class.

I plopped into my seat in homeroom and sighed. I was so tired of playing this high school game. It's not like I didn't know everything that they were teaching. In fact, I could teach all these humans everything the teacher was saying. Unable to pull up the wanting to pretend, I put my books away and laid my head down on my arms.

"Hey, Usagi."

I looked up and was surprised to see Nicole.
"Can I help you with something?" Still angry about her tryst with Alexander, my tone was snide. I had no energy to deal with her lies and two faces.

"Wow, what with that attitude?"

"What attitude? I'm just being myself, unlike some people I know," I said sweetly, folding my hands and smiling at her.

I heard the girls behind me gasp at my more aggressive demeanor.

"Usagi, what's gotten into you? You've never acted like this before."

I rolled my eyes, "You just never got to know the real me. You, though? Pretending to be a nice, sweet, innocent girl so you could get in Alexander's pants? The real you is showing." Nicole gasped at the accusation and my eyes rolled, "Am I lying?"

"Listen bitch," she growled, the "nice girl" facade abruptly disappearing, "I was nice to you because you looked like a sweet little virgin that'd never even held a guy's hand before."

I laughed, "Better than being a whore like you. Do you ever have the chance to get the taste of dick out of your mouth?"

I saw her hand fly my way, but I grabbed her arm before she could actually hit me.

"Looks like my cousin is back, I'd be careful with her." I heard Nephrite's amused quip behind me. I smiled at Nicole and, with my foot, pushed her desk away from me. She huffed and flipped her hair behind her shoulder.

I rolled my eyes and turned to the girl whispering next to me, "If you want to talk about me, say it louder so I can hear you better." They stopped talking and turned themselves around. I got up and turned to straddle chair between my legs and my arms resting on top of the chair.

"Hello, Cousin. Where were you this morning?" I hadn't really seen him since yesterday's meeting.

"Not fucking Endymion, that's for sure." He said with a smirk.

I reached over the desk and covered his mouth in shock, "Does everyone know?"

He pulled my hand away from his mouth and sat back in his chair.

"No, but I'm in Endymion's court. Don't worry, princess," he mocked. I rolled my eyes again.

Endymion's court or, in other words, his close friends, were four boys. The group were well known for being trouble makers and the willingness to fuck anything that walked.

"Oh, the court," I cooed sarcastically.

"Hey, we're the top men of the underworld." His ego spoke volumes.

I rolled my eyes and hummed.

"So, what did I miss since I have been, you know, gone?" I wanted to know his perspective of what I'd missed.

Nephrite smirked and asked, "Are you sure you want to know?"

"I wouldn't be asking if I didn't."

"Well, lots of fucking and a marriage," Nephrite said, eyes sparkling with mischief.

I nearly choked on my shock.

"Married? Who got married"

Greatly amused at my response, he chuckled, "Don't worry, your prince isn't married, princess." Before I was able to ask more, the teacher came in. I sighed and got up.

"Don't call me that," I mumbled as I sat correctly on my chair and pretended I was paying attention in class. I couldn't think past the question burning a hole through me: Was he still engaged?

Classes felt like a boring waste of time now that I had all of my memories back. I decided to ask everyone how they would feel about seeing if the Court would let us out of this high school shit. We knew all of this. Hell, we lived through the history that created everything they taught. I really just wanted to be peacefully in my room.

Lunch finally came and I was relieved to head to the garden and get some fresh air. On my way there, I passed by Nicole talking to someone about how I've become such a bitch. I rolled my eyes, she really wasn't going to get under my skin. I found Mina, Lita, Rei, Kunzite, and Nephrite sitting at the table under the tree. I sat next to Sakura.

"Where is everyone else?" I asked as she handed me a glass bottle of blood. I looked down at the bottle in my hand, confused. Did she get Endymion's blood for me? As far as I knew, I could only drink his blood.

"It's not his blood," Mina answered my unspoken question, reading my mind. Did this mean I wasn't bonded to him anymore or did something change and I was suddenly able to drink any blood again?

"Jadeite is with Endymion and his friends," Rei said with a sign of annoyance. I looked at her questioningly.

"Jadeite has officially been chosen as the next King of Vampires, so now he is busy training to be our leader and hanging out with Endymion and his friends at the top of our world," Mina explained, taking a sip of her blood.

"Wait, Uncle is stepping down soon? Why? Is he okay?" I was shocked. Most vampires only stepped down if they were dying. Not dying, as mortals would think of it. More like going into an extended sleep to "rest", as they say.

"No, he's going to be around. He just wants to have the freedom of retirement and have fun with Mom." Mina said, making a gagging sound. "You didn't miss anything at the family meeting, it was death."

I could only imagine. Uncle was a very free spirited person that didn't hide anything.

"Wait, does that mean Jadeite is married?" I asked as realization and shock hit me. Sakura nodded her head.

One of the stupid rules in the underworld is that the Crown Prince or Princess needed to be married before they were eligible to become King or Queen to make sure their family line continues. I turned to look at Rose and squeezed her hand.

Rei was in love with Jadeite. They'd been open about their relationship and had never even seen anyone else but each other. I understood what she must've been feeling; seeing the person you loved and would give anything for being with someone else. That, because of these stupid rules, they couldn't be with you. You would think that, because I was born a vampire/witch hybrid, they'd allow it to happen again, but no. Those in power fear what I, or other hybrids, could become and won't allow it.

"He married Kaon," Rei said flatly. I looked at her, stunned.

"Wait. Kaon? Like, KAON Kaon? The one that fucked Tanaka and then tried to get with James and Endymion?"

James and Tanaka were Endymion's childhood friends. They all grow up together and come from rich families in the underworld.

Rei laughed with very little humor, "Yep, her. But let's make sure you have the right information… she did fuck Endymion."

Agast, I turned to Mina.

"Father decided she was the perfect match because of who her family is."

Rei started to cry. It broke my heart. Were we ever going to be happy and be with who we loved?

Nephrite hugged his sister, "Rei, you've cried so much already. You know there is nothing we can do. We've tried everything we could think of to help you."

"HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF THEY TOLD YOU THAT YOU COULDN'T BE WITH LITA ANYMORE," Rei shouted as she pushed her brother away.

They were open about their relationship, but Nephrite was a witch and Lita was a Werewolf and, knowing the elders in the underworld, they will suffer the same fate as Rei and Jadeite.

"I won't be happy, but for now I will live for every moment we have together," Nephrite said and hugged his sister. I saw Lita nod at what he said.

"Is that the marriage you mentioned in class?" I asked and Nephrite nodded. I looked back down at the bottle of blood and wondered if I should ask.

"You're wondering if Endymion is married?" Kunzite asked. I looked up into his blue-grey eyes, so similar, yet so different to Jimin's.

"He's not married," he answered. The relief was momentary. Not married didn't mean he wasn't engaged.

"Is he still engaged?" I needed to know where I stood.

"Yes, he is, and to the same girl." I smiled wanly at Kunzite. I knew that was going to be his answer. He is the Crowned Prince, after all. I sighed and took a sip of the blood Mina had given me. I was surprised it tasted good. Normally, blood that wasn't Jimin's disgusted me. Mina saw my astonished face and read my mind before I could ask.

"No one here knows if you're still bonded to Endymion. We do know that he hasn't bonded with his fiancé. He did think you were dead, so." No one around me had ever said her name or even mentioned her. I don't even know what she looks like. She wasn't even present when the engagement was announced.

"What happened that night?" I asked the group at large. The last thing I remembered was my own pain and the King's face. Mina's face fell and I saw sadness in her eyes.

Rei wiped her eyes and answered, "You burned everything and tried to kill yourself. I got there in time to stop the fire. It was rumored that you cast a spell to block everyone out."

I remembered wanting to die. The pain of not being with Endymion and having to live to see him with someone else killed me. I was sick and just wanted everything to go away.

"Who knew you had that power? It took my father's intervention to break it. When he was able to get through, I ran in and tried to wake you up, but nothing worked. We thought you'd died, but Sakura came just in time with Jimin blood and fed it to you. It was a miracle. You came back to life."

I remembered feeling pain and everything going dark and then the sweet taste of his blood.

"Then what happened?"

"Since the King was there and found out about your deep bond to Endymion and was angry. He took you and made my father cast a spell to make you forget everything."

"It wasn't the King that did it?" I always thought it was the king because he was my last memory. I was astounded that he wasn't the one who erased my memory.

"No, he can't. Endymion can but the King can't. It's weird. How does Enymion have all of those abilities when he's just a werewolf? Like, yes, he is a descendant of Nyx… but their gifts are still limited."

Rei was right. Endymion had to be something else. He could do things others couldn't, making me wonder who he really was.

"So Uncle Ken was actually the one who erased my memory?" I asked Rei.

"Yes. He erased them and made you look dead. Father told us you weren't, but you looked like you were for a while until you opened your eyes. We'd laid you on the bed just before Endymion ran in. Mina and I were going to tell him the truth when he saw your body, but the King stopped us. He said that he was sorry and that you'd passed away. Endymion was beside himself. He ran to the bed where he held your body and cried. No one had ever seen him like that. He cried for days and shut himself away from the world."

Hearing that made your heart break. How could the King do that to his son? Break him and make me human just so his son can be with another girl.

"When did he find out I wasn't dead?"

"The day you were taken from Diamond, "Mina said, "I ran to him and asked for help. I knew we weren't supposed to tell him, but I wasn't going let you die."

I understood what she did. Now I knew I didn't miss much here; everything was still the same in some ways. Everyone was still in pain and hiding secrets to make themselves happy.

"Does that answer all of your questions?" Kunzite asked.

"Yes, oh Dark Prince, you have."

"Sorry, I'm not my brother," he raised his hands in defense and I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, let's go to the club tonight. I'll tell the others," Nephrite said, reaching for his phone.

"Sounds like fun. Like the good old days" I smiled and got up.

The club was a place where humans who knew about the underworld liked to go. Just like a regular club, you dance and you drink. But in this club, you can feed on humans… with permission, of course. That was the only rule. We could go have fun and let go of the rules of the underworld.
