The date had begun. Everyone was standing around in a group talking to their dates. Garroth and Laurance had just arrived and Laurance walked over to me.

"Hey Violet. You look beautiful," Laurance said, smiling.

"Thanks. You look good too," I said, trying to avoid eye contact. I felt sick. I completely regretted saying yes to this date.

"Are you okay?" Laurance asked.

I looked back up at him quickly. "Oh yeah, I'm fine."

He opened his mouth to say something but he was cut off by Michi running up to Laurance. "Oh! My little muffin cake!"

"Get away from me, Michi. Go with your date," Laurance said.

"But you're so much hotter!"

"Michi, get away from him. Laurance is my date and you have Zane," I said.

"Hmph. Why don't you go with over there? You guys suit each other. You're both pale as heck and about as worthy as worms for Michi's time."

My tail flicked angrily behind me. Michi was the worst.

"Michi. For the last time, go away. I came to spend the night with Violet, not you," Laurance said, shoving Michi away. Michi looked at me and hissed and I simply hissed back. "I'm sorry about that, Violet."

"It's not your fault. Michi is just so annoying," I said.

"All right everybody! We have a whole list of events for tonight so first off, the arcade!" Travis exclaimed, leading everyone. Laurance grabbed my hand and pulled me along. We entered the arcade and I looked around, fond memories washing over me.

"What game do you want to play?" Laurance asked, letting go of my hand.

"I don't know. It's been a long time since I've been in an arcade. I used to be good at racing games," I said.

"I'm down for that. But are you sure you can use the pedals in heels?"

"Laurance, I did theater. I can dance for hours in heels. I'm pretty sure I can press a pedal."

"It's decided then. Let's go so I can crush you."

"Psh. Good luck."

We played racing games for a while and I completely crushed Laurance but he beat me in pretty much everything else. After a while (and a lot of drama from Michi) Laurance and I walked out of the arcade, just talking and having fun. We browsed a couple of stores then walked around outside of the mall. He paused in front of the fountain and turned to me.

"Violet, I need to tell you something really important. I've felt this way for a long time and I think you do too based on how you've been acting recently," Laurance said.

"Laurance?" I whispered, my eyes wide. I was scared out of my mind. If he said what I thought he would say, things were going to get bad.

"Violet… I love you," he said, his cheeks red. I couldn't breathe and I felt like I was going to die right there. Then he stepped towards me and kissed me.

For once, a cliffhanger. DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUN! Next chapter should be our soon. Things are starting to get interesting on MyStreet. Happy New Year and 2024 will being you guys a lot more story. Love ya!
