49. Update 2024

Hi, hello!

So, it's been about five years since I made any kind of update on this fic. A lot has changed in that time. I no longer write for the Fairy Tail fandom. I finished my undergraduate degree. My mom passed away in 2020. I've changed fandoms a handful of times. I've had long periods where I've been completely uninspired and unmotivated to write. My dad started seeing someone and now he's engaged. I moved to a new state. And I'm currently in grad school for creative writing.

Again, a lot has changed.

That's where I've been, but you're probably more curious about where this fic is going from here. The short answer is nowhere! At least, not on this platform. With FF liable to nuke itself at any point in the near future, I'm opting to give each chapter another rewrite, which will be posted on AO3. I'm also toying with the idea of removing the obvious fandom bits from this fic and doing a hardcopy sale if enough people would be interested.
