The Blonde famous director and the Idol

Chapter 8: A misunderstanding.

So… After surprising Ai. Junsei had a little talk with Miyako, and AI enjoyed her nostalgic moment with her teammates. Even though those days may become futile one day, she enjoyed it as it lasted.

I do not own any work of Aka Akasaka, or oshi no ko. But I'm pretty sure, it's free use for people, kind of like making fanart of characters.

"(I wonder... how much longer AI will take?") Junsei was waiting for AI to finish her practice session with her fellow idols. He was waiting—not too far, but not too close—so as not to get someone to spot him. But still close enough for him to see AI once she leaves the building.

Junsei could only ponder this one thought. He was wasn't necessarily busy with anything. Or did he have anything to think about? The only thing he could think of was just the day and the little tour he had with Miyako.

But taking out the card that Miyako gave him, Junsei could only look at it longly. Almost like something might come from the card itself or just scare him by actually jumping at him, literally.

But Whatever that might come from it, Junsei just pocketed the card. Maybe for safekeeping or something else. Junsie didn't know. Maybe it might have its uses.

So as Junsei waits, and waits. And the sky goes orange and red, signaling that the day is approaching dusk. Junsei spots a familiar blue and purple-haired girl leaving the building. Noticing the girl, Junsei Gentle leaves his steak-out spot. To meet her on the way, whatever path she was taking, he was going to meet her. To start the hangout plan, There were now more things Junsei wanted to say. Quetions and the convesation that this little hangout can only give.

But as Junsei was getting ready to meet her, he noticed her sift in direction and how she was looking around for something, swinging her head around, and scanning the whole area, like a soccer player would do in a game for players. Junsei thought she was probably doing the same, but she, on this occasion, was scanning for where he was. Which was fun to watch.

The way She was walking alone by herself while she was swinging her head around was quite amusing. But at this point, she was looking more like a lost child looking for their mom now. This gave Junsei a smile. He almost wanted to keep looking at the scene for a little longer. This show was all for him to see. And he was enjoying the show. But,

"(Now I'm just feeling bad.)" Junsei smirked. "(But all shows come to an end one day. Said probably one person. Or something similar to that...)" After that thought, Junsei started walking to meet AI and crossed paths where no one could see them. And where every corner did not have a spot where someone could see them.

After those conditions were met, he would let her know where he was and let the hangout begin. However, one thing popped up in his mind.

"(I wonder where we were going. Ah... she probably has a nice place in mind.)" Junsei put that in the back of his mind. The first was just meeting her. By the look of it, AI was growing restless every minute.

...

AI was trying her best, checking every corner for any signs, but there was still no trace of the boy in sight.

"Haaaa..." AI couldn't help but sigh. She really didn't know where Junsei was.

"(Did-Did he leave...?)" AI's world stopped, and the worst thoughts came. Though she always repressed it in herself, but now alone, she couldn't stop.

"(No, No. Not again. Did I mess up again? Did I do something wrong? Was I scary to him? Does... does he hate me now...? I messed up again. And this time I made someone leave me. All because of me, for just being me. Why...? What am I doing wrong? I just- Just wanted to get to know each other.)" AI couldn't stop her mind. She was practically a high schooler still, but now she had to become an invincible idol. Even if it was out of her own volition, it still hurt.

"(God... if anyone saw me.)" They probably wouldn't believe it was her. She built up a lie. And now, something as nearly as crying in these streets has been found impossible for anyone to think of: She was AI—strong, invincible, and someone who wouldn't mope around. Never. But when alone, she could just, for a moment, think for herself and her feelings. In just this one moment, in solitude, she can-

"Boo-"

This one sound and word made AI nearly twist her entire neck as she swung it towards the direction of the voice she recognized. With her hair flying in all directions, her eyes and face can almost be made out with the brief gaps of her hair strains made with the whip motion. It was almost like time froze in that moment, and that moment was like a captured photo. Her hair almost covering nearly every part of her face. However, hidden amidst her hair strands, there was something left exposed—her eyes—and, more significantly, something she never wished anyone to witness, nor something she would allow anyone to witness. For something like this wasn't what an idol like her should show.

A single dripping drop of water on her left eye was trickling down her face, slowly making its way lower and lower across her cheeks—and other parts.

This was a new face that Junsei had never seen her make. But he never knew her for long. But he could tell one thing. But it wasn't his place to question her on it.

"(Maybe it wasn't a good plan to scare her?)" Junsei really could find good times to do his stunts, and now he caught a girl in the moment of something that he wasn't supposed to be a part of, or even something he was deserving of.

"Um sorr-" Junsei tried to apologize.

"No, it's fine." AI started to compose herself quickly. Wiping away the water droplet on her face. She was almost like she was trying to get rid of the evidence of someone. Someone that she didn't want anyone to know. Or ever be aware of.

"So… Something wrong?" Prying wasn't the worst option. But still. It was not a good time for it. However, Junsei couldn't stop himself. He wasn't sure if it was curiosity or just some sense of courtesy. It just came out without thinking.

"No nothing. Just something got in my eye, that's all." AI made her best lie up that she can in the moment.

"(If that's her best lie, then she is not doing great. But what do I… Do? I… I actually have no idea what to do here.)" Junsei was stuck. Being in a situation where someone was in the dumps was a first for him. The closest thing to this was when a fellow crew member that Junsei was working with had their dog die during their shooting process.

But even that. He just let her have a break. Because the reasoning was easy enough for Junsei to come to that conclusion. Her dog died. So letting her go home to cope was the best opinion. But now he had the same problem on hand. But this time, the reason was unknown. The best theory was just that he scared her too much.

" Umm... I would say something nice here. But I don't know what I did wrong ..." Junsei said the last word more quietly. He was doing his best to find the reason.

AI looked at Junsei for a bit. But then gave a joyful smile. Going back to her more cheerful self.

"You know. It is your fault." Ai said playfully.

This confused Junsei.

"(So it was my fault. But why is she so joyful all of a sudden?)" This roundabout was truly confusing. Junsei could not figure out what to do in the moment anymore. She was just seconds ago a moping girl. and the next, she's now a cheerful girl. How do you approach this?

"(This-)"

"(This-)"

"(This-)"

"Blehggg..." Junsei derped out. His mind shattered against the winds of turbulence in everything that transpired during the day. After everything, his near-perfect act he used just so he could get into the Strawberry Productions building. so he can just say hello to AI and see how she is during work. All of that nearly exhausted Junsei, unbeknownst to his own limits of course.

But now that AI was going around swapping moods in seconds, that was the last straw for him. And now his mind broke. No longer able to process information.

"Junsei...?" AI stared at the white-eyed boy, who was just staring off into space. For the past couple seconds, he was just staring at AI, but also like he was staring past her. It was almost like she didn't exist or was a ghost. "Junsei?" She was now a bit more worried for the boy.

Then, all of a sudden, Junsei shakes his head violently. This made AI take a step back. The shift in the scene from nothing to the intense motion of a neck spasm startled the girl. She was scared for a little bit, but then she quickly changed her priorities, and now she was only thinking of boys own well-being the next. But first, she needed to come up with an answer for what is happening to the boy. Then it came. A theory. A scary thought. She only hoped it wasn't true.

"(Is he having a stroke?!)" She honestly thought the boy was dying on her. She was ready to do anything to save the boy. Lay him down. Do CPR; call an ambulance. Just anything to save the boy. Tears almost weltered in her eyes. She really didn't want the boy to die. He was too young to die, and she barely got to know the boy. Her plan. At this point, the original plan didn't matter. She just didn't want the boy to die. She just didn't want another person in her life to leave her. She quickly, in a hurry, tried to make her way to Junsei.

But all of a sudden, the boy stopped his spasms. The movements only happened for a couple of seconds in real time. However, for AI, it felt like hours went by.

But in reality, Junsei was just trying to compose himself. It was almost like he was restarting a computer program, where Junsei's mind simply needed a reboot. And that was what Junsei was doing in the moment.

No one ever actually saw him doing this. AI was the first person to witness this moment in real time. And it was terrifying to witness. Even in AI's profession of meeting certain and distinctively quirky people, Junsei was probably the strangest and scariest of them all. But was this a bad or good thing? She didn't know. She could only keep looking at the statue of a boy, hoping to God that he wasn't dead. That he wouldn't leave her.

*CLICK*

Junsei raised his head, looking like he was looking a little better. But this didn't make AI concerns any worse. So she asked.

"Are you... Okay...?" AI asked hesitantly. Almost like the boy might just explode for any reason. She didn't want to do anything that might hurt him badly. Because after going through that ordeal, she didn't want to take a risk that big in her mind.

Junsei only looked at AI in the center of her eyes. And smiled. Then spoke.

"Nope. And it's all your fault."

...

...

"Um..." AI didn't move. "AI-"

"*ぎゅーー*"

AI squeezes the boy into a tight embrace. Like she was hugging someone who was long dead, suddenly coming back to life to greet her again after many years.

"IM sorry... But please. Don't do something so scary again. And-dont leave. Please... don't leave me..." AI pleaded. Almost whispering in her last words.

Junsei only looked at the girl, who was now burying her face into his flat, undefined chest. But even with that, it was almost like his shirt was perfect to leave marks of tear on. But in return, it made his t-shirt look like he just got splashed with water. But his shirt wasn't his main priority in the matter. It was the crying girl who was tearing up on him.

But not knowing what to do. He only knew that it now definitely had something to do with him. And this whole situation was his fault.

"(But why was she sorry? And why would I leave? Didn't we agree to have a hangout? So why would I just leave?)" Yet again, too many questions. But no answers.

But something still needed to be done. So Junsei moved his hand. And he placed his hand on AI's head. Gently caressing it in an attempt to calm down the situation. Trying to bring some semblance of peace to the moment and get some answers from what is happening.

But the moment lasts way more longer than Jusnei could have predicted. And they stayed there, both in an embrace of unbeknownst, unaware of each other's reality of the scenario in their heads. But they stayed there, nevertheless. Not separating. For they both thought the worst may happen if they did. So they stayed.

One is trying to cope with the situation.

And the other trying to understand it.

Oh, how cruel reality may be!

Two liars.

And their worlds separating them.

Reality so cruel.

But the same, it was reality that brought them.

So who was really to blame?

Notes:

presto doneso. Short chapter cause. The main handout should happen in the next chapter. But probably not anytime soon.

But I somewhat rewrote this chapter after reading the new chapter. So what do you think AI was as a person?

Oh, BTW. This (ぎゅーー) means to embrace or to press something, or someone. IN Japanese. Like a hug. I think. But it is a onomatopoeia.
