Time for us to resume our hunt for the Clockwerk parts. The Contessa (or, as I like to call her: Spider-Bitch), having escaped from the prison in Prague, has returned to her castle estate. Her castle is a gothic nightmare that makes Dracula's castle in Transylvania look like a luxury five-star hotel. Terrible or not, her castle is where we're going to. We recently found out that the Contessa was a member of the Klaww Gang, which really wasn't all that surprising if I'm being completely honest. The Contessa has the Clockwerk Eyes in her posession.
From what I learned about the Clockwerk Eyes, it has the power to stop people in their tracks using hypnosis. It makes MK Ultra look like a harmless prank you would pull on your friends to upload on YouTube. God only knows what kind of power she could gain by using the Clockwerk Eyes on people. News of the Contessa's corruption spread like wildfire throughout Interpol. That cocksucking bitch Neyla got promoted from Constable to captain! Making that psychotic bitch captain of Interpol would be like if Adolf Hitler were to become the emporer of Germany or voting Joseph Stalin in as the President of the United States! They gave her a cash allowance to hire an entire army of mercenaries. We were heading into a full-scale war. Let's just hope Neyla and The Contessa don't try to jumpstart World War 3.
Regular P.O.V.
Sly Cooper's first job was to take recon photos of the area around the Contessa's estate. Then he had to get access into the Contessa's re-education tower. Bentley warned Sly to be careful around the tanks that were patrolling the area around the Contessa's estate. The first photo that the raccoon took was a boat.
"The Contessa has these boats out on patrol against Neyla's army. We could use them to hitch a ride on." Bentley said to Sly. Sly next took a photo of the blimp that the Contessa had used to escape the prison in Prague. Bentley suggested that maybe the gang could use the blimp to their advantage around the high towers. Sly then snapped a photograph of one the tanks that were patrolling the area.
"The Contessa's all geared up for war! Just our luck!" Bentley said. Sly then took a photo of Neyla's headquarters, which was located inside an old, abandoned bank that looked like it hadn't been used in several decades.
"Neyla's made a headquarters out of that old abandoned bank. It looks pretty fortified. It'll take some doing to drive her out." Bentley explained. Once Sly was done taking the necessary recon photos he needed, Sly headed to the Contessa's re-education tower. He knocked out the guards out of the way. He eventualy got inside the Contessa's re-education tower. He saw Carmelita Fox strapped into a gurney. Her eyes were a swirl of different colors. She was being hypnotized by the Contessa.
"Why are you doing this?! Neyla, she set me up. I'm an honest cop!" Carmelita said. She was struggling against the gurney she was strapped down on. Her body was in a spread eagle pose. The Contessa was watching her.
"Of course you are. I've read your psychological profile. I know you're honest." the Contessa told the vixen.
"Then why are you doing this?" Carmelita asked. She wanted to know why the Contessa was hypnotizing her for if she knew she was an honest cop. If the Contessa knew that Neyla had set her up back in India, then the Contessa shouldn't have captured her along with Sly Cooper, Murray and Harley Keener and imprisonmed her at her prison.
"Because, dear... you're honest. You see, by chasing after Sly Cooper, you've learned too much about the Klaww Gang and their operations. It was only a matter of time before you'd eventualy figure out that I was a secret member... so when Neyla gave me the opportunity to take you into custody, I took it." the female spider lady explained.
"Coward!" Carmelita exclaimed, "You're a disgrace to Interpol! I'll make it my life's work to destroy you!" She couldn't believe that the Contessa and Neyla would do this to her.
"Oh, I'm afraid your life, let alone your "life's work" isn't going to last much longer." the Contessa said to Carmelita. "Once I integrate the Clockwerk eyes into this device, your "life's work" will be whatever I tell you it'll be." Her statement horrified Carmelita Fox. She dreaded being under the Contessa's control. She didn't want to become the Contessa's slave. She convinced herself that she wouldn't be able to be as easily hypnotized by the Clockwerk eyes as the Contessa thought it would be.
"I won't be brainwashed that easily!" Carmelita said confidently.
"Quite right, it won't be easy... or painless. But I will reprogram your mind and you're going to take the fall for me at Interpol. Now, just sit back and relax, go to your happy place and stay there forever." the Contessa told the vixen reassuringly. Sly couldn't believe what the Contessa had planned to do to Inspector Carmelita Fox. He was glad and thankful that Bentley and Emily were able to successfully free him, Murray and Harley out of the Contessa's re-education tower when he had the chance. He couldn't imagine what the Contessa would've done to him, Murray or Harley had Bentley not been able to break them all out of the Contessa's prison.
"I don't think they've seen you. Take a few photos and get out of there." Bentley told Sly.
"Holy shit!" Harley exclaimed. "Here I thought MK Ultra was the worst mind control experiment ever! What the Contessa's doing to Carmelita makes MK Ultra look like a children's game!"
"It was a good thing that Bentley broke us out of the prison when he had." Sly said to Harley. "I want to help Carmelita. She's in trouble."
"There's nothing you can do now! Get the recon photos and come back to the safe house. We'll find a way to free Carmelita." Bentley told the raccoon. Sly got out his binocucom and proceeded to take some recon photos of the Contessa's laboratory. The first photo he took was of an old terminal that the Contessa was using to help power up the mind control device that she used on Carmelita Fox.
"That old terminal should be hardwired to the systems in this tower. We need to find a way to get it online." Bentley explained. The next photo Sly took was of the Clockwerk eyes.
"The Clockwerk eyes! They seem to be routed through that control board. Get a shot of the console so I can decipher its make and model." Bentley told Sly. Sly then took a photo of the Mind Shuffler, a device that was used to hypnotize people.
"That's... that's a Mind Shuffler. I didn't think they were real. It's made of equal parts science and black magic. Indestructible to conventional weapons." Bentley said. Sly then took a photo of Carmelita Fox.
"Interesting. Inspector Fox is being restrained in an old Irontech 2-50. Crude, but effective." Bentley explained. Sly next took a photo of the Contessa's Shadow Guards.
"Those are the Contessa's shadow guards. "Tough" is too harsh a word to describe those guys." Bentley explained.
"You're telling me." Harley said. After Sly took all of the recon photos, Bentley told him to go back to the safe house. Once there, Bentley presented the gang with a slideshow presentation of their plan.
"The war between Neyla and the Contessa has put the castle on high alert. To get at the Clockwerk eyes, we'll need to subtly manipulate the conflict to our advantage. Here's the plan, Murray and Harley will sneak into the castle and kidnap the head of security. His name is General Clawfoot. I want to ask him a few questions. Meanwhile, Sly, Emily and I are going to get a little paranormal. I'll slip into the crypts beneath the castle and put together a bad mojo bomb. It should be enough to destroy the mind shuffler. Sly and Emily, you guys will capture a few ghosts like the Ghostbusters and drop them into Neyla's HQ. Hopefully, the near-death experience will inspire her to purchase more mercenary firepower. We've all got our assignments. Good luck." Bentley explained to the team before they went their separate ways.
