"Oh he's adorable," Elizabeth Blake cooed over her adorable grandson.
"Yes, he is," John agreed, as he sat by his wife running a hand over his grandson cheek. "I remember when Alex was this small. She was so tiny when we found her."
"So what are you going to name him," Elizabeth asked her daughter and Dave.
"We talked about this," Dave explained calmly, as he sat in one of the single chairs with Alex on his lap. "And we decide on Alwyn.
"That's an unusual name," John commented.
"It isn't so much in Wales and my family has Celtic roots and yes, I'm well aware that Rossi is Italian, but still our roots are originally Celtic," Dave explained. "The name means friend."
Dave had made sure to cast the glamour over Alwyn before he and Alex had come to visit her parents. Instead of looking like a Seelie with alien planes to the face and pointed ears the baby looked human with brown eyes, rounded ears and chubby cheeks.
Neither of Alex's parents even thought about inquiring why they couldn't have come to see Alex and her new son in the hospital and that was another bit of Dave's magic that Alex was grateful for. The elder Blakes now believed that they had seen their new grandson in the nursery at the hospital and they wouldn't think to ask anyone of the hospital staff if Alwyn had ever been there.
It was a good thing, because if her parents did Alex knew that there would be no records of a baby boy with the last name of Rossi ever being present in the hospital nursery.
Magic could be a wonderful thing, Alex thought, as she watched her mother hold her grandson.
"He's a cutie pie," Elizabeth said, as she held Alwyn in her arms. "We can always call him Al for a short."
"Your inheritance is yours Alex. It's something you should've gotten years ago," John told his daughter. "I realize sometime ago that I shouldn't have been so persistent about you marrying. You really made me think and I'm really sorry for all those dinner with men that I made you endure."
"We knew that you didn't enjoy those dinners," Elizabeth stated looking up from where she was cooing over her grandson.
"I never thought about you adopting if you never got married," John added.
"I forgave you some time ago dad and I met Dave and while I won't say all those endless dinners were worth it I might not have met Dave if not for Eliza insisting I go to the party her parents were throwing."
Neither Dave or Alex mentioned the vision that Dughill had had, as Alex's parents were just plain humans who knew nothing about the other world as it was sometimes known.
"I won't say I appreciate all the pressure either, but things turned out well and that's all that really matters," Alex added. "I'll take the money, but put it in a trust fund for when our children are grown, as I don't really need it since Dave has plenty of that.
"That's a very good idea," Dave approved, "not that I would ever let them do without."
"We'll make sure we teach them responsibility and how to treat others so they don't turn into spoiled brats and entitled," Alex added. "I was certainly disciplined when I was young, but many children from rich families walk all over people."
"My turn," John told his wife and took Alwyn out of her arms.
Dave watched as Alex's parents cuddled his son and know that he would be loved and spoiled by his grandparents until they passed away and there was nothing wrong with that at all.

~~~Dave and Alex~~~
Epilogue
Alex had just given birth to her fifth and last child, as she was now technically too old to be getting pregnant. That didn't mean there wouldn't be other children in the future, but for now David Rossi was more than content with the children he had, even if they had all been born back to back. Alex was now 46 and she was done with being pregnant for now, as she'd been constantly so for years.
Still, that didn't mean she didn't love every single one of her children and her parents were ecstatic at getting so many grandchildren, even though they wouldn't be around for more than another few years.
Alex had come through all the pregnancies in relatively good shape and Dave was glad of that, because even sidhe could die in childbirth, though it was rare, but that was only because usually children of the Seelie were few and far between.
It was a good thing that Dave had Saoirse on tap as she was available to help Alex through each of her pregnancies to make sure she came out of it alive, but their was only so much a healer could do. They couldn't bring back the dead. Saoirse had healed her from the damage that each pregnancy caused though, which meant that Alex could get pregnant again.
"So what are we gonna name this little one?" Dave asked looking happy and content as he gazed down at his newest daughter.
"Well we've named all our children Celtic names I don't know why we should change that for our second and last daughter," Alex said she lay on the couch as it was a couple of days after she'd given birth and she'd been on bed rest. Dave had only let her get up to use the toilet and take a shower.
"What about Avalina?" Dave suggested. "It means beautiful bird filled with life and charm."
"That's really pretty and it can't be shortened to Ava or even Lina," Alex said.
"Then Avalina it will be," Dave proclaimed. "I'll make sure that Saoirse fills out a birth certificate with the name. You are my lucky charm Alex. You've given me the family I've wanted for so long."
"Happy to oblige," Alex said with a serious expression before breaking into a massive grin. "It's not all one-sided you know, as you've made me very happy and fulfilled my need for a family. While I wouldn't mind a few more my parents would wonder why I was having them supposedly into my 50s, especially since I got pregnant so easily every time, which I know is unusual for a Seelie."
"You won't be too old for quite awhile so we can have more once these five a grown-up," Dave said. "No getting pregnant so easily is not usual, but as you know it's a human blood that does it."
Modifications had been made to Dave's home to where there were now multiple bedrooms and bathrooms.
"Aisling is coming to see our newest addition tomorrow," Alex told Dave.
Alex had finally gotten to know her grandmother and also her cousins and she was beyond grateful that she had a blood family she had never known about a few years ago.
She would have their support as well as Dave's once her parents passed away a few years from now as neither one of them was in the best of health.
"She's always welcome," Dave said, "and she's become a grandmother not only to you, but to all our children. Unlike your adoptive parents she'll be around for a long time."
Aisling was a regular visitor to the Rossi home in order to see Alex, Dave and her great-grandchildren. She was simply a member of the family and Dave and Alex had come to trust her.
Alex had also met her mother's siblings and gotten to know them.
Life was very good.
"I'm glad you have blood family, as my parents were killed centuries ago and I had no siblings. Unlike us and like most sidhe they had trouble having children. Of course, both of them were like me full sidhe with no human blood which is why," Dave said.
"That is so tragic," Alex said, even as she held her daughter that Dave had handed her. "We need to put this little darling down for a nap and go see the other children."
A nanny had been hired to look after all the children and also a playroom created with every toy you could imagine. Dave had spared no expense to outfit the playroom so his children had plenty of entertainment, which meant they would behave while he and Alex were busy. The playroom had been created just like the bedrooms using magic. No normal construction had needed to be done. Dave's home was now truly that when before it had only been a place to sleep. Dave's two level apartment now had children's laughter and plenty of visitors on a regular basis.
His assistant Aithne had asked to be reassigned to other duties so she wouldn't have to be around Dave's family, as she still had that huge crush on him. Dave had granted her request as he did not want Aithne's jealousy around Alex or his children to get out-of-control to where he had to punish her if she did something to any of them. Dave was well aware where Aithne's jealousy could lead.
Life was no longer lonely, Dave thought contentedly. His life was very full with Alex and his children. He'd came to love Alex a little more every day, even though he knew that his love might eventually fade like it did for most of his kind. It was very rare to find two sidhe so closely matched that they stayed together throughout their lives, since they did live for centuries and not just a few decades.
Life was wonderful at least for now and hopefully, that would continue until they both passed.
Life was very good.
