10. The Doctor's Day!
The Doctor faces the Master as he strides into the Doctor's Tardis to claim everything, including the demise of the Doctor. His plan is to send the Doctor the same way as Chloe and her father - into a star somewhere. He feels victorious as he enters the Doctor's Tardis, ready to see the Doctor perish!
The Doctor sees the 'encapsulated' message disappear from his screen. Suddenly, he recognises that the tables have turned, somehow! Now he must take full advantage of this.
As the Master struts in, the Doctor taps in a new destination. Alphon Three. A known haunt of the Master.
The Doctor doesn't want to kill, hurt or damage the Master, but must move him on.
The Master turns to address the Doctor but notices the lack of the 'encapsulated' message and recognises he has lost, somehow.
"Where are you sending me?" He appears to simply accept his fate. With the Master, there's never any certainty that he'll capitulate. He always has something up his sleeve, so to speak.
"I was thinking Alphon Three, but I've a better idea now," the Doctor says.
"Oh?"
"Gallifrey!"
The Master raises his eyebrows. He'd love to be on Gallifrey. The damage he could wreak there could be incalculable!
"Yes," the Doctor says. You'll be in touching distance of where you'd like to be, but unable to touch it!"
"What if I get out?"
"Oh," you won't!" the Doctor says. "I can make sure of that! Sweet torture - so near but so far! I'll start arranging it now."
The Doctor's Tardis doors close at his bidding and the Doctor continues to tap away, reading some responses on the screen.
The Master appears to relish being on Gallifrey again.
Initially, the Doctor finds some opposition to his plan - apparently some problems with Chloe and Alyssa. He tells the Gallifreyan authorities to think again, and release them, before building a suitable edifice on Gallifrey to adequately contain the Master. But then he feels that they're planning something else! The authorities on Gallifrey feel very differently towards the Master! Maybe the Judoon Master Palace might be better? (Ref. 35.)
The Master Palace. The one place specifically built to contain the Master. That might be better!
