Author's Notes:

Decided to dip my hand in a different couple in Bleach.

This is a Weakness: Prelude for them.

Enjoy!

Kisuke

I turned the page in the Study of Dark Matter textbook. Mayuri muttered something under his breath, but I didn't acknowledge his complaint. All I knew was that there was a new student who entered our middle school class.

I found it odd that the school accepted a new student since the term was ending and we were soon moving on to high school. Throughout class, I fixated on the new theory and wondered how I could further interpret it.

During P.E. class, I sat on the bleachers while the rest of the class ran around the track and field. I was able to get an exemption due to a prior injury my stepfather had given me two days ago. The sunlight helped me read the latest manga in between the textbook my teacher thought I was focused on.

The sunlight was suddenly blocked by a figure. I glanced up to see a figure shaped like a girl. As quickly as I had seen her, she stepped to the side letting the sunlight blind me. I closed my eyes and moved my head down to regain my sight. When I opened them again, she was no longer in front of me but sitting next to me with enough space between us.

"Do you have a reason why you're here with me and not out there running with everyone else?" I asked once I had a good look at her.

She was different from what I was used to seeing. Her skin was dark chocolate almond-brown, smooth, and unblemished covering her slender body that the gym uniform wasn't. Her purple hair which went past her chin glowed like a halo due to the sun beaming down. She glanced at me causing me to be mesmerized by her golden orbs that were shaped like cat eyes. Her face was also round with the chubbiness of early childhood, nose as a button, and lips shaped to perfection.

I damn well have to say, she was beautiful.

That was until she opened her mouth.

"Your excuse isn't better than mine." She angled her chin to my opened textbook. "Reading manga instead of getting some muscles on those lanky bones. Nerd activity," she snickered.

My eyes widened as I slammed the book closed. "I just needed a break."

"From being a nerd?"

"Shut up." She threw her head back and started laughing obnoxiously loud. I was shocked her laughing didn't draw attention from the other students running by.

"What's your name nerd?" She asked once she stopped getting her kicks at my dispense.

"How about you introduce yourself first."

"Aren't we in the same class? I introduced myself three periods ago."

"I wasn't paying attention."

"Reading manga in class too. Wow, you're a naughty nerd."

"Stop calling me that," I growled.

She raised her hands in surrender still grinning. "Sorry. I'll reintroduce myself then. Shihōin Yoruichi." She extended her hand to me. I glanced at it and then back up to her golden eyes which were staring at me with amusement. I didn't reach for her hand.

"Urahara Kisuke." She dropped her hand and turned to sit cross-legged on the bleacher facing me.

"Nice to meet you Urahara-san."

"I can't say the same."

"Want to bet on that?" she smirked mischievously.

I don't know how or why, but that day established our unconventional friendship for the rest of our lives.

Yoruichi

"Almost done?" I asked pulling the sour peach ring apart with my teeth.

Kisuke hummed as he typed away at the research paper he would be sending in tomorrow morning. My nerdy best friend was to absorb in what his future was going to look like to think about me and my own problems.

Since the last year of middle school, Kisuke has been by my side. More like the opposite way. It was easy to have him open up to me eventually without my constant need to defend him from other burly students. His friend Mayuri hated me off-rip, but he tolerated me once we entered high school.

I sat cross-legged on his twin-sized bed twiddling with my fingers. My proposal for today was outrageous but it was the last opportunity I had. College was right around the corner and instead of our original plan of attending the same institute together, my family had other plans.

Originally, I had won the bet of choosing which high school I could go to. Instead of a preppy private all-girls school, I chose the public high school in our area. Anything to have a new experience without a handout from my folks. Winning the bet, I was able to transfer to the middle school capable of getting me into that high school.

Once I walked into that school, I felt a surge of energy. I was finally on my own without help from anyone. My guard Soi-fon was too young to enter my middle school, so I was on my own. When the teacher slid open the classroom doors, everyone snapped their heads up at me. Everyone except the pale blonde-haired kid who had his head buried in a textbook about dark matter.

I never got a look at his face when I introduced myself and moved to the open seat on the other side of the classroom. The next two classes were remotely the same. Since I was trained to study those around me, I was suspicious of this kid's obliviousness to those around him. He wasn't even acknowledging his classmate who sat in front of him staring daggers at me mumbling something incoherent.

When finally given the chance to see his face, I excused myself from P.E. stating my period had started and I had terrible cramps. That was a load of horseshit, but I rather sit out this time. I have this regiment consisting of working out at home. Training with judo, karate, tai chi, boxing, and hand-to-hand combat, among others I was built to endure a lot more. Running around a few laps wasn't in the stars for me today. I rather take a load off.

Seeing the oblivious kid sitting on the bleachers with his face buried in a book, his eyes scanning the pages rapidly. When I got closer, I saw him smile at whatever he was reading having my interest piqued. I didn't know the Fermi Paradox was something to smile about. When I reached him, I looked down to see a manga between the heavy book. Noticing his light was blocked, he glanced up at me squinting through grey eyes. His disheveled blond hair moved from between his eyebrows as he tried to focus on me. Not wanting the sun to blind him from looking at me, I moved to the side and sat by him.

Since then, history has been made.

Now as I nervously sat on Kisuke's bed watching him mutter to himself about changing a paragraph on the computer, I pulled at the black ribbon choker he gave me when we went to prom together. Swallowing the sour peach ring in my mouth, I tried to focus on how to tell him I was leaving tomorrow afternoon. According to my parents, it was crucial that I get used to a new environment before the semester started. I didn't know how I would break the news.

"Hey, I know you worked hard to get into the college I suggested… but sorry I'm going to London."

I rolled my eyes and tried to think of a better way of saying that. I was mad at myself for the chance to make this right. I had worked hard to be independent. A's throughout high school, going through the internship of my choosing while having a part-time job, and tutoring those who were lacking in my grade, below and above. However, all that hard work went down the drain.

In our second year of high school, Kisuke had legal trouble because of his stepfather. The binge drinking he was doing led to them fighting and having the police called. Kisuke was the one arrested since all his built-up rage throughout the years had boiled over that night. He had beaten his stepfather to a pulp leaving him barely breathing.

I thought if maybe he trained with me, he would not only get stronger but build confidence. And he did. Karate, judo, and in hand-to-hand combat he got better every day. His smile grew and he no longer sported bruises. With his lanky body, it built muscle, and he was no longer underweight. But those teachings were used to defend and retaliate in that dreadful night.

With his one phone call, Kisuke called me. I could hear the defeated tone in his voice as he spoke through the phone as he told me what happened. With nothing but my pajamas on, I made my way down to the police station in less than an hour. Soi-fon grudgingly called my family's lawyer after threatening her if she spoke a word of this to my parents. Kisuke was out in a matter of minutes after the lawyer's arrival.

I paid his bail with the money I had saved from my part-time job hoping not to leave a trail for my parents to find. But that was short-lived. Soi-fon told them everything the next morning. Betrayal or not, after the lawyer had seen Kisuke's stepfather in the hospital, adults needed to be involved. After the blowout between us, my parents finally heard the full story from my mouth. They sympathized with Kisuke, but they didn't want me associating with him after high school.

I tried to plead my case, but they weren't hearing it. They told me his legal trouble could follow me if I stood by him. They offered to help him. Get the stepfather to drop the charges, acquire emancipation for him, and receive the full payout from his mother's life insurance among other things if I followed what they asked. Not wanting my best friend's future to be ripped away from him because of a scum bag like his stepfather, I gave in.

Everything was solved in a matter of two days.

Kisuke had no idea why the judge threw out the case, why his stepfather received a restraining order, how he had more money in his account, and why his life was now looking up.

But I knew. My parents knew.

In those two days, they chose my college, picked out my living arrangements, booked flights tickets, and the college alumni acknowledged… everything was set in stone. I no longer had any money left to run from it all, they offered to repay me what I had saved as long as I did what they asked. Never muttering a single word to Kisuke when he saw me the next day. I wanted him to have a blissful final few months with me.

Looking at him now, I wanted to tell him everything. Let him know I didn't regret my decision. He was my priority, and I would do the same thing again if it meant he no longer had to go about it alone.

"Done!" he smirked at the screen. "This will blow their minds. Mayuri better have sent his in too, or I swear I'm…" he trailed off as he glanced at me. "What's wrong?"

"Huh?" I still had a peach ring between my teeth.

"Why are you crying?"

I touched my cheek and felt the wetness from my tears. I quickly wiped them away and smiled. "I'm not." I pushed myself off his bed, chewed the rest of the peach ring, and walked over to him. My eyes gazed at the screen reading the formulas and equations, the attached theories, and other written facts. "Looks good. Are you sure you are ready to send this off? This is your future we're talking about." My eyes moved down to his face.

Those grey eyes I adore flickered between concern and amusement. "Have you ever seen me doubt myself? This was easy stuff. It's the explaining part that's annoying." We both faced the desktop outlining a few things before saving it. Both on his computer and on two separate flash drives.

"Speaking of the future." Kisuke turned around in his computer seat facing me. I stepped back giving us space. "Are you ready? I know how strict your parents are, but are they really cool with you going there?"

I shrugged. "Does it matter?"

He looked me over and smiled. "True. When I see you at freshmen orientation… then it will matter." I chuckled nervously. His smile fell. "What's wrong? You've been… quiet."

Typical of him to know something is wrong after knowing me for three years. Sinking my canines into my bottom lip, I glanced up at him. "Let's do it."

The concern on his face morphed into confusion. "Do what?"

"Sex." His face turned bright red.

"Yoru…ichi!" he sputtered out my name.

"What?"

He ran a hand down his face turning away from me. "You're unbelievable. Why would you ask me that?" He glanced back at me with suspicion written all over his face now. "Did you ask me that to throw me off from the real issue?"

I groaned. Moving towards his twin-sized bed, I began to strip off my oversized top and unbuttoned my shorts.

"What the hell!" I looked up to see him covering his eyes from seeing me in my yellow frill matching set.

"What? Not sexy enough for you?"

"You can't be serious. Put your clothes back on."

"Kisuke…" I moved towards him. My fingers wrapped around his wrists moving them from his face. His grey eyes widened at my bra before moving up to my face. "I need you to do this for me."

He blinked once, slowly, as if imprinting the scene onto his mind, before rapidly erasing it. He took his hand back and stood up causing me to step back. "This is crazy. We're friends. Friends can't do this."

"Why not?"

He ran his fingers through his blonde hair and glanced every which way but at me. "It's… I don't know. Wrong."

"Are you not attracted to me?"

Kisuke groaned finally looking at me. His eyes wandered down my body, from my face to my yellow-painted toes and back up to my serious face. "Sure you're… attractive. But doing what you're asking is risky."

"I don't see it that way."

"You can't believe that?" We silently stood staring at each other not uttering a word. I shivered from the chill in the air in my undressed state. The tremble caused the strap from my bra to slide down my arm. His eyes watched it fall. "Put your clothes back on before you catch a cold."

"Not until you touch me… or at least kiss me."

"Yoruichi."

"Let me take the risk with you. I want to put all my chips on red because it's you."

He rolled his eyes. "This isn't one of our wagers or bets. This is our friendship you're risking. I'm not foolish enough to gamble with that. You mean too much to me to take that chance."

"So, what are you saying about me then? I'm not worth it?" Our eyes met, and in that brief moment, a flurry of unspoken desires passed between us. Our 18-year-old hormones slithered in our veins heating the once cold room into something boiling hot.

"You're worth more than you know."

"Then prove it."

I don't know how he closed the short distance between us, but when his lips collided with mine, I knew then and there I didn't want anyone else kissing me but him.

Throughout high school, my outgoing personality sucked in everyone and rotated nonstop. I was nice to them since they were nice to me. Conversations flowed easily and I had no reason to be ashamed. However, Kisuke was every bit secluded just like I had met him. He didn't talk to anybody.

They weren't worth his time. Except for me. Whenever class ended for lunch or dismissal, I would always find him reading. When I called his name, he would drop what his eyes were buried in to look at me. Those grey eyes never wavered once they found mine.

Eating lunch together, walking home together, or hanging out after school. He made time just for me. Just like he orbited around me; I orbited around him. I don't know when my feelings started growing from platonic to a full-blown crush, but I didn't run from it.

I embraced it wholeheartedly.

I liked him despite the lack of attraction on his part. He didn't focus on his appearance like other high school boys. He kept his hair disheveled and unkempt. Clothes neat enough for school but baggy to peer wrinkled. I didn't care either way. As long as he was in school without bruises, I was pleased.

Kisuke Urahara was my favorite person in the world.

His lips moved over mine before his tongue swiped at my bottom lip. I opened for him, and he slid his tongue inside. He tasted sweet while I tasted sour. A usual combination but great enough that I was moaning in ecstasy.

I wrapped my arms around his neck as I tilted my head to deepen the kiss. For our first kiss, we were great at it.

Too great actually.

My eyes widened. Ripping my mouth from his, I narrowed my eyes at him. "This isn't your first kiss, is it?"

His tongue traced his bottom lip lapping at the moisture. He glanced down at mine and then up to my eyes. "It is."

"How are you so good at kissing then?"

"Because it's with you." He leaned in to capture my lips again. As much as he denied me earlier, he was more into it than before. We fell back onto his bed and let our bodies explore uncharted territory.

Sweat laced our bodies as we laid in the darkness on the small bed. After the first couple of strokes, like a virgin, Kisuke came pretty quickly. The condom was no longer viable, so we opted to go without protection when we did it again. Once he had gotten the rhythm of things, he knew when to pull out.

For my first time, it hurt too, but I relished in the pain because it was him. With the pain subsiding after another try, I knew what felt good to me. I voiced it and Kisuke focused on that move. He listened like I knew he would. I wanted to do more, but he ended up falling asleep when I was clumsily riding him. Plausible, given that my endurance level was higher than his due to years of training.

I chuckled watching him sleep. My fingers traced his chin wondering when his facial hair would finally grow in. He hummed in his sleep turning over to kiss my forehead as his arms wrapped themselves around my waist.

"Are you going to tell me what was bothering you earlier?" he grumbled out with his eyes still closed. His voice was hoarse with sleep but alert enough to feel me stiffen in his arms. He opened one eye to gaze down at me. "What is it?"

I snuggled into his chest inhaling his earthy scent mixed with sweat. "Nothing."

"Don't do that Yoruichi. I know you." His finger moved to my chin and tilted it up so he could look into my eyes. "Tell me."

Tears welled up in the corners of my eyes. I don't know what was happening to me. I had never been such a crybaby before, but I was weak with him. He gave me the space and freedom to feel everything other than poised as my family had instilled into me.

"I… I'm leaving for London."

He raised an eyebrow. "For a family vacation?" I shook my head.

"Longer."

"O… okay," he hesitantly said. "Is that something you don't want to do?"

"No," I mumbled. I bit my bottom lip looking into his eyes reading the confusion. "I'm going to college there."

He inhaled sharply. His eyes did not waver searching for the possible joke I may have up my sleeve. But this wasn't one of those. This was reality. Our reality. "Alright. When do you leave?" I sniffled and dropped my head back into his chest. "Yoruichi… when do you leave?" I could hear the panic in his voice. It was scaring me too.

"Tomorrow." With my face buried in his chest, I can feel his heart beating faster. "I'm sorry," I started sobbing. He didn't say anything but stroked my hair and held me tightly.

Kisuke

10 Years Later

"Here's your passport and boarding pass."

Tessai handed me my things in the crowded airport, and I placed them in my inner suit pocket. I was uncomfortable wearing this crap, but I just finished one work conference and was off to another out of the country.

"Thanks," I muttered.

"Don't look so down. Mayuri would have taken your place in a heartbeat, but he has Nemu to look after." He rubbed his chin deep in thought. "Still confused on how he found a person to sleep with him, convinced them to bear his offspring, and got full custody."

I rolled my eyes. "Does he need a reason? That man would do anything if it meant he could research it, break it down, and dissect it."

Tessai's sunglasses dropped lightly down his nose revealing his widened eyes. "He wouldn't..."

"I hope he wouldn't but that's all it is… hope." I bent down to pick up my laptop bag throwing it over my shoulder and gripped the handles of my carry-on.

"Whatever the case may be, this conference is only for two days and the other twelve is for your leisure. Use your two weeks wisely."

"Yeah, yeah," I waved at him securing my bags.

"If you want… she might be up for a visit. Did you call her to let her know you were going to be in England?"

I tightened my hand on the handle of my carry-on. "No," I muttered. Tessai didn't say anything in response as if sensing my displeasure. The crowd began growing for the security checkpoint causing emotional goodbyes to be heard, children crying for being up early, and others complaining about needing a morning cup of coffee. "I'm going to go. Keep an eye on the shop."

"Do you really need to tell me that?"

I raised my hand as I turned to walk off.

~o~

I dropped my laptop bag and carry-on on the seat in first class. Instead of my usual doubled middle seating in first class, I opted for the single window seat. I wanted to see firsthand from Skyview what she saw when she arrived there. The place that tore us apart and had put a great distance between us.

After that night, I fell asleep with her in my arms and woke up alone. Without any goodbyes, a see you later, or I'll visit soon. Nothing.

For the past ten years, I heard nothing from her. Social media was steadily growing but she didn't have any. At least when I searched for it. I had no idea if she was still living in London after all this time or if she had moved on and forgotten about me. If she had found a love of her life, got married, and had a couple of kids.

I was literally flying there blind.

I sighed as I took my seat. This conference was the usual in my daily life. Introducing an invention I made, the huge pros and tiny cons, how much it would cost to sell it from private and make it public, the usual spiel.

I unbuttoned the suit jacket and a few more buttons on my collar shirt after sitting in my seat. I didn't know why I wore a damn suit on a 12-hour flight. Reaching for my carry-on, I tried to think if I pack anything comfortable to change into for the time being. My other clothes were under the plane, so I was limited to what I had with me.

Deciding to endure, I removed my suit jacket and just in time handed it to the flight attendant. She gladly accepted after I removed my passport and pass from inside. I took my seat again and retrieved my laptop. When she came back, she eyed me when I was about to power it on. I smirked nervously as I closed it and put it away until after we took off.

She offered me a drink to calm my nerves and I thanked her. Whoever she was, she was doing her job right. Licking my lips, I figured since it was such a long flight… maybe I could get some entertainment.

Running a hand down my face, I quickly squashed that idea. I'm not one to cast blame, but Yoruichi turned me into a man whore after leaving me high and dry.

Every opportunity presented to me at college, I took it. Socially and physically.

I grew into my own out there. No longer a shell of an abused teenager, I shaped my image into a playboy with an extraordinary IQ that blew all his professors away. Female students and T.A.s wanted a piece of me. And who was I to deny them a slice?

I threw myself into my research and pussy whenever. However, I never let myself feel. All my emotions went into my work. It was the one thing I knew wouldn't hurt me like she had.

A sweet scent caught my attention. When I glanced over to my right, I saw a brown-haired woman who caught my eye. Her pale skin was the complete opposite of what I wanted but her scent is what had my attention. She smiled at me once we locked eyes.

Okay, a little entertainment was essential.

~o~

"Bye Kai." My little entertainment brushed my hand after we got off the plane. I was confused for a moment but smiled remembering the fake name I gave her. She turned and walked into the arms of a man who was holding flowers for her. I never would have guessed she was in a relationship the way she was devouring my dick in the lavatory during the flight.

With my laptop bag over my shoulder and carry-on bag attached to my suitcase, I was ready to go to the hotel for a hot shower for my aching body from the flight.

My assistant set up a car to pick me up from the airport to drive me to the hotel. The chilly air of England hit me first before my eyes adjusted to the amount of people greeting loved ones. I found the driver pretty easily when I walked out towards the traffic. He opened the door after he greeted me.

Sliding in I sighed and grabbed a bottle of water that was provided.

"How are you doing sir?" the driver asked once he closed his door.

"Better once I get some shut-eye in an actual bed," I said after swallowing a generous quantity of water.

"I hear you, sir." I grumbled under my breath with the 'sir' thing. I understand etiquette but I didn't care for it. Sliding down into the seat, I shut my eyes waiting for our arrival to the hotel.

Showered, well rested, and now dressed in a thin red sweater with a light black jacket over it and black joggers, I was ready to eat. This was one of three of the simplest outfits Tessai had packed for him other than suits. How can he tell me to have leisure time when he only packed business-related clothing?

I walked out of my hotel with my phone in hand. I didn't want to have room service for dinner. After a quick search, I found a lounge a few blocks away with a delicious menu and even better drinks.

Walking in the lounge, jazz music filtered through the speakers. The place wasn't as packed as I would have imagined given the popular area. Most of the patrons were secluded in their areas talking at levels for their own parties to hear.

Seeing an open spot by the bar, I grabbed it and saluted the bartender. He took my order and disappeared to the kitchen to give in my food order. Upon his return, I watched him make my drink with elegance even if it was a simple Old Fashioned.

Just like my drink, my dinner was simple too. Fish, rice, and veggies. After my third drink, I was going to call it a night, when a scent of peaches had me turning over sideways. I quickly turned my head from where I smelled the scent and couldn't find who or where it was coming from.

Even if ten years had passed, her scent was very much unique. No one could compare even if they tried. Maybe it was because it mixed so well with her skin that there couldn't be a carbon copy. Unless until now.

Close to 6,000 miles in distance I had found the one person in the world who was able to have her scent. Turning back around after finding nothing, I downed my drink and left a few crisp bills there. I needed to be up early for this meeting.

Yoruichi

He was here.

How?

Why?

"Ms. Shihōin?"

I turned to face my client. "Sorry. I thought I saw… an old client of mine." I smiled taking up my Boulevardier drink and taking a sip. The bourbon burned, but I needed it to focus on my work. "So, you were saying?"

After that snooze fest of a business meeting and four Boulevardiers later, I stumbled outside to catch a cab back to my apartment. The drive back would be long, but since it was late the traffic would have died out by now.

No cabs were outside, and I groaned at the possibility of that in a popular area. Glancing at my phone, I noticed the low battery life. I cursed again. This was annoying. I went back inside the lounge and asked about hotels nearby. Anything to sleep off the alcohol-induced coma approaching.

The hostess gave the directions which were simple to follow. I thanked her before walking the next few blocks in heels. I wanted to rip them off and wear sneakers or be barefoot for all I care. The heels thing wasn't me. Never has, but parents know best… I guess.

Finally, for what should have been a seven-minute walk was now a twenty-minute struggle, I had made it.

"Good…" the hotel concierge glanced at the clock. "… morning. How can I help you?"

"I need a room." I leaned against the front desk, bending down to take off my shoes. I sighed once I felt the coldness on the soles of my feet. "Please," I finished off after cracking my toes.

"Uhh…" she tried to keep her smile, but it faltered. "I'm sorry, but we're all booked due to a conference happening at Cambridge University this week."

I watched her type away on the computer and then smile as if she just didn't give me the worst news possible. "There is a hotel a few more streets down that has a few rooms available. I can call ahead and have them book that for you." She reached for the phone, but I raised my hand to stop her.

"It's okay." I groaned bending down again to slip my shoes back on. "I can do it."

"Yes, certainly." She smiled at me. I know it's her job, but it felt like she was mocking my misery. "Safe travels."

I mumbled out a thanks and turned to leave. I felt a sharp pain skyrocket up from the toes on my left foot to the back of my thigh. I groaned bending over to massage the impending Charly horse. While massaging and walking, I made it to the couch and dropped my body as if it were a sack of potatoes.

From the corner of my eye, I could see the concierge watching me. Since she knew my struggle, she knew not to say anything.

I took out my phone again to see if I could call Soi-fon to drive down here to get me. It would be a hassle to walk a few more blocks slightly inebriated and in pain, than to call her while I sit on the hotel couch to ease my aching feet. Plus, a two-hour drive should be nothing for her. Especially when it's for me. But that hope died when the screen would not turn on. It was dead.

I cursed under my breath. Tonight, just wasn't my night. I threw my phone back in my purse and slumped back on the couch.

"Yoruichi-san?"

I quickly turned my head at the voice wondering who my saving grace could be. A sharp breath escaped me when my eyes found the one who called out for me.

It was him.

He was standing before me.

Taller and leaner. Even with his thick outfit on for the cold, I could see he had bulked up. Became stronger every which way his body would allow.

Those piercing grey eyes and blond lashes were no longer youthful like I remembered. His face was rugged, with a chiseled jawline that was covered in stubble. His eyes narrowed in concentration as he looked me over. I stood up from the couch and tried to smooth out my cocktail black dress. His eyes followed my hands before looking back up at my face. I didn't know how I looked, but I tried fixing that too.

"Hi Kisuke," I breathed out. I don't know how long it's been since I said his name, but it was music to my ears. He inhaled. I watched him savor the silence as his eyes roamed my body again before landing back on my face. His eyes moved over each part of my face as if etching it into his memory once again. Watching him watch me sent shivers down my spine.

Instinctively, I pulled my bottom lip in with my teeth. His eyes zeroed in on the small motion. He took a step closer causing a force of an eruption of lust stream between us. My hands which were on my sides moved up to fold over my chest. This action helped stop me from reaching out to him.

After feeling each other out through our eyes, he spoke first breaking the lust-filled silence.

"Are you okay?"

Remembering my situation, I dropped my hands to turn around to grab my purse on the couch. This movement was risky due to how short my cocktail dress was. Now bending over the backrest of the couch, I knew for a fact the back of my thighs were putting on a show for him.

It was fast, but his hand gripped my wrist pulling me up and making me collide with his chest. I glanced up to see him staring down at me.

"What are you doing?" he growled lowly.

I shivered at his question. "I… I was… getting my purse."

"I'll do it."

Commanding.

More like dominating.

My mind was imagining him dominating me in all sorts of positions. A strong pulsing sensation from my core almost made me moan thinking about what Kisuke could do to me now. Now that he was older.

Stronger. My eyes glanced down to what was between his thighs. Possibly bigger.

Oh, good God!

His hand still held my wrist as he moved to grab my purse. His change of movement down to get my purse and up to stand up straight sent a strong whiff of both a spicy woodsy smell, along with bergamot and a small hint of tobacco.

He smokes too.

Goddamn… who is this man?

He handed it to me. I slowly took it back. "Now answer my question. Are you okay?" I nodded unable to trust my voice at the moment. "Then why are you sitting here at 2:30 in the morning…" he sniffed. "…drunk?"

"There were no cabs to take me back. My phone is dead too."

"And Soi-fon?"

I shrugged. "Probably sleeping. I would have called her, but dead phone."

"I see," he slowly let the wrist I didn't know he was still holding go. "If you want…" He took a step back giving me space that I never asked for. "I'm in the presidential suite. I have an extra bathroom and bed. While your phone charges… you can get some rest."

Rest. If we are in a locked room together… I will not be resting.

I shook my head erasing the images from my mind. His hand cupped my chin, tilting it up so I would look at him. His eyes searched mine. "Is that a, no?"
