Chapter 8 Snowball is home
Max and the others including most of the members of the flushed pets knew it was time to leave. Before everyone else could leave Snowball saw that Tattoo wasn't going with them. "Hey Tattoo, aren't you coming with us? Maybe Molly's parents will let you live with us" Snowball said to Tattoo. The tattooed covered pig smiled, walked over to his friend and said, "As much as I would very much appreciate it, a pig living in an apartment in New York City? That's not for me. To be honest I've always wanted to live on a Farm or be in a motorcycle gang since I got a lot of tattoos like a biker. Plus I don't think pigs are allowed in apartment buildings. Also somebody's gonna make sure Ricky doesn't come after you. I'll make sure of it personally."
Snowball knew his friend too well, especially when he made up his mind about something. Tattoo gave Snowball a hug and promised to come see him soon. As fast as possible Snowball and the others made it to their homes before their owners came home. Molly ran into her room and Snowball was waiting for her. "Snowball, I missed you so much. I hope you weren't too lonely. Come on let me feed you my sweet little bunny" Molly said as she gave Snowball some leafy greens and carrots. Snowball ate his food with a smile and after he finished eating Snowball cuddled for a while before bedtime.
A week after everything had happened Snowball was watching TV while Molly was at school and he saw something on the news that caught his attention and the news reporter said, "I'm here at one of the many animal shelters in New York City to report about animals that are in need of a home and here with me is the owner of this shelter. Sir can you tell me a bit about your shelter and the animals here. Are they being well taken care of?" As Snowball continued to watch the news he saw his friend Tattoo and he was looking very happy with a man who he believed to be a farmer. The reporter continued her interview and noticed Tattoo the pig with the person patting his piggy head. Then the owner of the shelter said, "This man right here adopted his pig with all of these tattoos. I don't know why anyone would cover a pig in tattoos and abandon it. I found him guarding a gate that had a wild and crazy goose who kept squawking. The goose was sent to an animal sanctuary because he kept scaring the other animals and people. This pig has been adopted by a farmer who happens to be in a motorcycle gang."
When Snowball heard what the owner said he was thrilled for his friend that he finally got somebody to love and care for him. All of a sudden Snowball heard a tap on his window. At first he feared Ricky had come back looking to exact revenge on him. When Snowball turned around to see who it was he was relieved that it wasn't Ricky but surprised to see Tattoo. Snowball hopped over to the window and did his best to open it up with a bit of help from Tattoo. "I can't believe you're here. I just saw you on the news. Congrats on getting adopted" exclaimed Snowball as he hugged his friend. "Thanks Snowball I can't believe I got adopted by a farmer who is also in a motorcycle gang. How ironic but wonderful for me. Anyway I came to say goodbye but I promise whenever my owner comes to New York which he often does because he loves the bars I'll come see you ok boss?"
Snowball smiled and replied, "You know you don't have to call me boss anymore. I'm no longer the leader of the flushed pets. I'm your friend Snowball forever and always." Tattoo and Snowball hugged each other one more time before Tattoo left to meet up with his owner and rode away on the sidecar of the motorcycle. As happy as Snowball was for his friend he was sad to see him go. However Snowball believed with all of his heart their paths would cross again someday and still had all of his friends who lived in the neighborhood to hang out with always.
