We're back, and what better way to start the new year off than with the beginning of the end. It's time to start the final battle to decide the fate of everyone's lives.

Sorry this took so long, I've been dealing with school and other personal problems in this journey, but I promise I will try my best to get these last few chapters out, starting with this one.

Chapter 28: The Final Battle: Fire vs Ice (Part 1)

The time has finally arrived. The day that no one wanted to arrive, but inevitably was going to come. The day of war. It was finally time to stop Pyros and save the world from his fiery reign. We come to the room where Molly and her siblings were sleeping. Mason and Mia were already awake and gone, but Molly was still asleep, but was soon woken up by the alarm on her phone. She grabbed her phone and shut the alarm off, still tired.

"(yawn)...I guess I overslept a bit. I hope I'm not too late," Molly said. She then noticed a cake on the calendar on her phone, and was visibly upset, but she ignored it, with some sadness.

"Of all days, why does it have to be today?" She asked herself. It seemed like today was not only the day of war. Molly cleaned herself up and got her clothes ready, and soon left to meet up with the others.

Meanwhile, everyone else was in the central room of the meeting building. Everyone wasn't ready for today, even if they knew. They all decided to chat

"Man, it feels like yesterday we just got here, and now we're going to war," Deema said in disbelief.

"Yeah, it's kinda weird how all of this is about to end," Goby added.

"I'm just glad that this is all about to finally end soon," Oona said with relief. They all kept chatting to each other about everything finally coming to an end, when Molly entered the room.

"Molly!" They all greeted their friend.

"Hey guys!" she said. "Sorry I'm late, I think I overslept a little," Molly told them, chuckling.

"Hey, it's understandable Molls, you don't wanna be tired on a battle day," Deema told her.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm just glad we're finally putting an end to this, and that we can finally set things back to normal," Molly said. There was a bit of silence from everyone, who looked concerned.

"Uh..everything alright guys?" Molly asked them, confused.

"Hey Molly. I hate to be that guy, but are you sure we can do this?" Gil asked Molly.

"What do you mean Gilly?"

"It's just that, we're fighting this powerful overlord with an army that has fire powers, and we're just a bunch of kids. Don't you think we might be getting a bit over ourselves?" Gil explained to her. Everyone else agreed with him.

Molly thought about this for a few moments. They were just kids, and were about to go up against the Fire Lord, who could've killed them from the very beginning. Luckily, she had a plan.

"I get that. You're all right, we are just a bunch of kids that are about to face an all-powerful overlord, but we've been able to get this far because of the bonds we share with each other," Molly said to everyone.

"What do you mean Molly?" Goby asked her.

"What I'm saying is that we've been able to get where we are because of the friendship we've shared since we were in preschool. The bonds we've shared have helped us get through even the toughest of situations. So what I'm saying is that as long as we're together, nothing can get past us!" Molly explained. "So who's ready to save our home?"

"Me!" they all shouted together. Molly, however, noticed Oona was looking away from everyone, and decided to step in.

"Hey Oona, you good?" Molly asked the pig-tailed girl, catching her off-guard.

"H-Huh?! M-Me? Yeah, I'm fine, just a bit worried, that's all," Oona stuttered.

"How come?"

"Oh it's n-nothing, hehe," she answered, but someone answered for her.

"She's scared she might do what she did back in the fourth temple, and might snap again," Deema said.

"Deema!" Oona yelled at the blonde girl, angry.

"Hey, you can't just keep hiding it Oona. You have to let it out," Deema told Oona in a serious tone.

"Is she right Oona?" Molly asked her. Oona just nodded her head slightly. Molly smiled at her.

"Alright, look. I get it, you don't like fighting, right?" Molly said to her.

"Yeah," Oona replied.

"That's fine, I get it, you still remember that day. Now I'm not going to force you to fight. That choice is up to you. But I just want to tell you something you'll want to remember," Molly said.

"What's that?"

"Sometimes, you have to fight if it truly comes down to it. It's like you told me that martial arts isn't about getting stronger or revenge, but about conquering challenges and ourselves. Sometimes, we have to fight for the sake of others and ourselves. If you're just standing there and doing nothing, claiming to be a pacifist, then you're not being a pacifist. You're being a coward, and I hate to admit that. You need to make the choice of what you want to do with your skills, whether it's to waste it and watch everything crumble, or use it to help others from dangers they can't handle," Molly explained, handing Oona's katana over to her. The rest of the guppies kept watching as Molly consolated Oona.

"I'll even admit, even with my training and new skills, I still think that you're leagues better than me," Molly told Oona, who blushed.

"R-Really?"

"Yeah girl, I think you can beat me in a fight. You're capable of so much Oona, but it's up to you to decide if you want to use your skills to improve and support yourself and others, and find out who you truly are," Molly explained to her. Everyone just stood there in silence, shocked about what just happened. Oona smiled.

"Thanks Molly, I'll think about it," Oona thanked Molly. Molly gave her a thumbs up with a smile.

"Dang Molly, I didn't you know you could give speeches like that," Gil said to her.

"Hey, I've learned many things during our time here. You haven't seen anything," Molly said, winking. Just then, Zooli came into the room.

"Hey guys, we finished up the preparations for the army," she told everyone.

The six guppies left the room and headed to the main court, where the massive army was waiting. Everyone there had armor and weapons ready for the fight.

"Wow, so many people here!" Oona said, shocked.

"Guess all that time we spent gathering people really came in handy," Deema added. Soon, Glacia and Lady Snowa arrived.

"Molly, do you want to give some encouragement to your army before we depart?" Glacia asked the Ice Princess.

Molly gulped, but took a deep breath.

"Sure, why not?" Molly said. Glacia tapped the microphone to get everyone's attention.

"Ladies and gentlecreatures. I know you are all eagerly waiting for the fight at hand, but first, a word from our Ice Princess before the battle!" Glacia said. Everyone cheered for Molly as she got on the pedestal.

"Thank you, thank you everyone, I'm glad to be here. We all know what is at stake here. My home, your home, and the future of the world. We must beat Pyros so that we can save our home. Now I know some of you might think we won't be able to, but I know we can all pull this off because of the teamwork we have. If we work together, I know we can beat Pyros and save the world from his reign! Who's with me?" Molly explained. The army cheered and shouted to her.

"Yeah!¡Ahora vamos a patearle el trasero a Pyro!" Molly said, but there was silence and confusion. She blushed in embarrassment, realizing no one understood her. "...That means let's go kick Pyro's butt!" she shouted. Everyone cheered again.

"You speak Spanish?" Deema asked her.

"Yeah, our family's from Hispanic origin, verdad chicos?" Molly said.

"Si, ayuda mucho," Mason said.

"Si, Si!" Mia said happily.

"Huh neat."

"Say, Lady Snowa. Could you do me a favor and watch Mia while we're gone?" Molly asked Lady Snowa. This caught Mia off guard.

"Why can't I come with you?" Mia asked her older sister, upset.

"Because Mia, it's way too dangerous for you, and I care about your safety more than anything else. I don't want you getting hurt or even killed," Molly explained to her sister.

"I have to agree with Molly on this one. This is way too dangerous, even for you. We don't want you to get hurt," Mason added.

"Fine, but you better not get hurt or I'll be upset!" Mia told them. She hugged her older siblings, who giggled at her.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure she stays safe," Lady Snowa assured.

"Why don't you stay here too boy? To keep them company?" Gil said to Bubble Puppy, who barked in response.

"Alright then, I think we're ready to go," Molly gave the order to Glacia.

"Excellent. Everyone, we move out immediately!" Glacia commanded everyone. The Resistance army began their way out of BlizzardTucky and up Mt. Danger. It was a tough climb due to the amount of people there at once, but eventually, the army made it up the mountain, where there was a great, yet not so pleasant, view of the castle and surrounding area, which was even more desolate, and was already prepared with weapons and soldiers.

"There it is…the castle," Molly said tensely.

"What's the plan Molly?" Gil asked his friend.

"It seems Pyros has an army of his own, so we can use ours to distract his army so that the rest of us can-," Before Molly could finish, a loud cry echoed throughout the area.

"What was that?" Oona said scaredly. Everyone looked around to find the source, when someone shouted.

"Monster!"

Everyone looked up to see a gigantic bird flying right above Pyro's castle. It had wings that looked like magma, a prehistoric-like face, and even magma dripping from its body.

"That is one big bird!" Deema said dramatically.

"What the heck is that?!" Gil shouted. No one expected Pyros to have this sort of thing waiting here. Before anyone could react. The giant bird roared into the sky with a piercing screech. From the castle, Pyros looked upon his pet.

"Ahhh, it's beautiful. Let's see their princess stop this," Pyros said with an evil grin.

"How are we supposed to beat this thing?! It's way too much for all of us!" Zooli said. The creature flew straight at them in an attack. Everyone ducked and braced for impact, except Molly. She stared at the incoming attack, took a deep breath, and sent an extremely powerful gust of wind at the giant bird, which sent it crashing down into the castle, destroying part of the structure. Everyone looked in shock and awe. They didn't think even Molly could beat it.

"That's the best I can do. It won't stay down for now, so now's our chance to come up with a plan!" Molly shouted, but the Fire Demon was already up, and he looked even angrier than before.

"Now what? It's not like we can summon our own monster to fight that…thing," Deema said jokingly. Molly then got an idea.

"That's a good idea, Deema!" Molly told her.

"Wait wha-?" Deema was confused. Molly clenched her fists and slammed them onto the ground.

"Uh Molly, I don't think punching the ground is going to help us," Gil said to her. Two large hands then bursted out of the snow, followed by a large body that formed a gigantic ice titan.

"You could have done that this whole time?!" Deema yelled at Molly.

"This would've been nice earlier!" Zooli added.

"I just learned this yesterday! Cut me some slack, guys!" Molly said, distressed. The giant ice titan grabbed the bird's neck and threw it across the area, ensuing a fight between the two colossal beings.

"That should give us some time. Now all we need is a plan," Molly said. "Any good ideas on how to stop that thing?"

"I know a way," Alana stepped into the fray.

"You know about this sis?" Cryo asked his older sister.

"I've been hearing Father talk about it for a while, and the way to stop it is by stopping that over there," Alana pointed to a satellite dish on the castle roof. "You turn that off, you stop the Fire Demon until you can send it back."

"What do you mean "send it back?"" Molly asked her.

"Oh yeah. That thing…is from another world. You'll have to use the machine to send it back to its world," Alana explained.

"Okay, I think I have a plan. Everyone, huddle close to me," Molly ordered. Everyone got close together to hear what Molly had to say.

"The Resistance army can distract Pyro's army while the golem fights that giant bird. Nonny and Zooli, you two go and shut off that machine to send the bird back home. Mason, you command the army out here, while the rest of us will head inside the castle to rescue everyone and stop Pyros," Molly explained the plan to everyone. They all nodded in response.

"Everyone charge!" Molly shouted. The final battle has finally begun. The two armies clashed in the middle of the field. Many cries and noises can be heard as weapons clashed, lives are lost, and blood is shed. The guppies are caught in between the battle as they fight their way through the soldiers until they reach the castle entrance. Nonny and Zooli decide to split up from the group to shut off the satellite machine.

Zooli helped Nonny up the castle wall onto the roof. They swam down the corridor until they reached the place the satellite was being kept. It was fairly big, with an advanced control panel, something they didn't expect from Pyros.

"This must be it!" Zooli said. They walked up to the controls, which was littered with buttons. "Do you think you can shut it off?" She asked Nonny.

"I'm not sure. I'll have to analyze it to understand the controls. This technology is way more advanced than anything I've seen," Nonny told her. Even he wasn't sure he could do it. Suddenly, a laser blast barely missed Nonny, startling the two.

"Look out!" Zooli shouted, grabbing Nonny as they hid behind the giant dish.

"You can't hide or run from me kids! Pyros will succeed in his plans!" It was Bombell, who seemed to have awaited the two's arrival. Zooli peeked at him from behind the machine.

"Great, now we have to deal with this. Any ideas?" Zooli quietly asked the orange-haired boy, but Nonny shrugged his shoulders. They tried to think of an idea to get past him. They had never seen or met Bombell before, so they were going in completely blind. And to make things worse, he had a freaking laser blaster! If they got hit once on somewhere vital, they would die. Zooli then had an idea.

"How about this: I'll distract this guy, while you try and shut this thing off?" Zooli suggested.

"Alright, but be careful Zooli," Nonny said with concern. She winked at him, and looked around for an opening, drawing out a sword.

"Hey! Over here!" Zooli shouted, waving her arms around, grabbing Bombell's attention.

"There you are!" Bombell shot at her, but she blocked the laser with her sword. He shot rapid shots at the young guppy, but she parried them with the sword while getting closer. When she got close enough, she narrowly missed a strike to him.

"Ack, you bothersome pest!" Bombell shouted. Zooli fought Bombell, dodging his attacks while trying to strike back. Meanwhile, Nonny analyzed the machine's controls to find out how to shut it off. He'd never seen something like this, and started to sweat. But he managed to keep calm and pressed some buttons, which caused sparks within the satellite.

Zooli landed a tail smack on Bombell, annoying him further. He kept trying to blast her, but she kept blocking the laser shots with her sword. Bombell thought of an idea. He ran towards her, and aimed a shot at her. However, he shot it into the air, and Zooli instinctively held her sword up, allowing Bombell to land a solid punch to the girl's face, knocking her back.

"Oww..that hurt," Zooli groaned.

"Had enough, child? You can't beat me," Bombell tried to taunt her, but Zooli wasn't budging.

"I'm just getting started," Zooli said with a confident smile, not backing down. She swam straight towards him, and when he was about to strike, slid through a blind spot near his tail, allowing for a strong tail swipe that knocked Bombell to the wall.

"Ugh…h-how?! How am I getting bested by a mere child?!" Bombell started getting furious.

"Had enough, man? Or are you tired?" Zooli taunted the adult guppy. Bombell was about to strike again, when he saw Nonny at the machine.

"Gotta admit. You two…had a great plan," Bombell said with a cold tone. Zooli realized that he knows their plan as he aimed his blaster at Nonny.

"Nonny, look out!" Zooli shouted to him. Nonny managed to look over and duck out of the way at the nick of time, but Zooli got hit hard in the face, and started getting punched and slapped around by Bombell.

"I'm not done yet girl! Like you once said: I'm just getting started!" Bombell yelled. He threw Zooli against the wall.

While this was happening, the army down below was doing fairly well against the enemy's army. With help from the guppies and some other allies, they were beginning to wear down the enemy.

"We're doing well guys! We gotta keep this up!" Molly shouted.

They kept fighting their way through, knocking down anyone that got in their way. Eventually, they made it to the entrance to the castle, where there was a large door at the entrance.

"This must be the entrance," Gil said as the others looked at the giant door.

"Okay everyone, time to head inside," Molly told the others, who cheered in agreement. However, she looked at her older brother, who was still fighting in the battle.

"Hey, Mason!" She called to her brother.

"What's up sis?"

"I'm going to need you to stay out here and order the army while we head inside," Molly told him, surprising him.

"What? No way! I'm not leaving you to go and possibly die!" Mason said to her, not wanting to leave his sister behind again.

"Listen, I don't want to leave you again, but we both know that we'll probably just get in each other's way. Besides, you're way better at leading an army than I am. You led an entire rebellion just to get to me," Molly explained to Mason.

"But…But…-" Mason was stopped by a hug from Molly. She hugged him tightly. "S-Sis, whgat are you doing?"

"I love you, you know, even if you're annoying. I'll be fine," Molly said in a soft tone. Mason, wide eyed, embraced his little sister and hugged her back.

"Don't you dare die out there, or I'm going to annoy the heck out of you when we die," Mason joked with her.

"We'll see about that," Molly said.

"Awwww!" Deema and Oona said as the siblings interacted with each other. With one final high five, the guppies and Glacia entered the castle as the doors shut.

"Good luck sister. I know you can do it…" Mason said, believing in his sister.

We come back to Zooli and Nonny vs Bombell, where Zooli is on the wall, literally, against Bombell. She just received a beating from Bombell, who distracted her by aiming at Nonny. She panted as she tried to catch her breath, but her body ached in pain. Bombell grinned and walked towards her.

"Well well well. Seems you couldn't beat me in the end, but I'll give you credit," Bombell said coldly, aiming his blaster at her, when he got hit in the back of the head with a rock.

"Ack! Who threw that?!"

"Hey!" It was Nonny who threw it. He stepped away from the machine.

"You irritating little brat! I'll teach you not to mess with the brilliant Bombell!" Bombell yelled. Seeing an opportunity, Zooli mustered the strength to use her sword and knock the laser blaster away from him, but it also hit Nonny in the face, but somehow didn't break his glasses.

"Nonny!" Zooli shouted.

"I've had ENOUGH!" Bombell yelled in anger. He punched Zooli in her stomach, knocking her sword off the roof. When she tried to reach for it, Bombell grabbed her arm and hit with all his strength, breaking it. Zooli screamed in pain as she fell to the ground. She had never felt pain like this before, not since she was struck by that lightning strike. She stared at Bombell, who was furious with her.

"Now to end you for good!" Bombell shouted as he was about to finish her, when suddenly.

*BLAM!*

A laser was shot through Bombell's chest, putting a huge hole through it.

"...Impossible…how could I…lose?" Bombell muttered before collapsing dead on the floor. Zooli looked up to see that it was Nonny who fired the gun at her. He threw it aside and swam to her aid.

"Are you okay Zooli?" Nonny asked her.

"Argh…don't worry about me. Just go shut it off," Zooli weakly said to Nonny. He nodded, and went over to the machine, and hit a large red button. Sparks went around the satellite as it lowered itself. The Fire Demon's eyes turned from a glowing red to their yellowish color, falling to the ground as it regained its senses again.

"Now send it back where it came from!" Zooli said to Nonny.

"I'm working on it!"

The giant bird saw the satellite machine used to control it, and remembered all the suffering Pyros made it go through. It let out a loud screech before soaring into the air and straight at the two guppies.

"NONNY!" Zooli started to panic as it neared them. The machine then dinged, signaling the machine was ready.

"Done!" Nonny pressed a green button, and the satellite fired a laser at the giant bird, which teleported it into a portal, which immediately closed right after. The satellite dish then exploded from too much damage.

Nonny and Zooli collapsed on the floor, breathing heavily as they struggled to deal with what just happened. Then, Zooli started laughing in excitement, as if she had seen something extremely funny.

"That was amazing! We actually did it!" Zooli said in awe.

"Y-Yeah…we did," Nonny said, shocked they managed to live through that. The two fist bumped each other, which gave Zooli a slight shock of pain.

"Here, let me help you," Nonny lifted her arm over his shoulder, helping her walk better.

"Thanks, Nonny. We'd better go help the others. They're probably already at Pyros by now." Just then, a large explosion can be seen from the central outside room, along with several fire and ice blasts.

"That's probably them!"

The two made their way into the castle, Nonny carrying Zooli with him. The battle, however, was just getting started, as many more are to come inside the perpetuous castle. Will the Bubble Guppies succeed? Or will Pyros prove to be too much for them? Things can only get better or worse from here.

And that's a wrap for Part 1! Seems things are going well for our guppies. But now things are beginning to take effect that may be worse for them. How? You'll just have to see in Part 2. I'll answer reviews now:

ReaderandWriter9000: Hello again, good friend. The tension is really taking up the air now. It's all coming together now, with all the chapters playing their part in this elemental finale. I hope you enjoy this part and the next two!

PrimeroseRaspberry: Hello again! Nelly secretly being a person who would kill if it came down to it was a neat way to make her like a sibling to Nonny, being opposites of each other, and the moments Molly and Oona had were ways I wanted to expand their characters, as seen in this chapter. And yes, this chapter will be action packed for sure, especially the next part!

That's all for now, and I'll see you all in the next part of this final arc.
