Read a story that was very cool. I liked the concept and decided to make my own story. If you know which story please tell me I really want to give that author kudos and praise for such a nifty, cool, nice original idea. Any and all credit of Naruto and Fate/series goes to their Authors. Praise. No research was done to make any type of accurate period appropriate representation sorry.
Naruto Uzumaki survivor of the fourth shinobi war, eventual seventh hokage had a bad day years ago, the seal that Shion protected was broken because of the unsealing of Kaguya, shion's and matou bloodline/existence steemed from the residual energy from the first sealing. Off course he was confused for shions ancestor something like pure thoughts entering a chakra body like the zero tail bijuu deamon. Fighting matou again he was able to destroy his core but not before shion fortold two strange fates, both of death one in this world the other across space and time. She gave him a ceremonial cloth feeling it would protect him. It did in the explosion cast away what would be a day before the second greastest attack on Konoha, Sasuke and baruto would save it and Naruto would be remembered for his deed of saving the second front of this battle. His children would unite to reform the Uzumaki clan using the scrolls that Naruto made years ago for his descendants.
Now He found himself embroiled in his opinion pointless slaughter. He unfortunately was on the side of slaughter and destruction while the other wanted to bring their form of peace. Unfortunately he had given an oath to the leader of this group of barbarians that he would fight with them, they had saved his life, he had given an oath as thanks. Usually he would not have but he and the mans daughter who saved his life had fallen in love. Knowing that with his chakra system shattered beyond any seeable repair. If not for his life as a sage being able to feel chakra as a whole within his body he might have died. Stimulating the pooling chakra within his body he still had increased strength, stamina and speed. For him he was one of if not the most powerful on any battlefield. His fighting style polished by years of shinobi work and integrated with the more ruggad weapondry of these fellows made him a monster. He was respected, but was considered strange never filling into the same culture of rape and pillaging, instead he would bury the dead, mercy kill those left alive for fun. Eventually it was accepted by his group, and he was called as the final wind. Like the last wind that is brought by the Valkyrie to those who take their last breath. He would be their last wind giving them off to death. Today a vicious foe had come an army of knights and warriors on the horizon, the scattered bands of barbarians under the signal of their cheirfs marched forth, they had been forced into this fight, to retreat no meant splitting their bands further apart because of the many hills and valleys. Unless they wanted to be hunted like deer by the wolves they needed to fight.
Arthur, ie Arthuria true king of England stood upon the hill their command tent had been placed as their army made formation. Today was an essential battle without it these barbarians would scatter over the land, it would take to much man power to weed them out, undermining all his (will for now call her (he) because he is king) goal of claiming all of England. Merlin, great bearded merlin stood nearby, looking over the map, trinket in his hand spinning and moving for a few moment before stopping putting them away he stepped forward. "Arthur today be prepared a great challenge approaches you." His wizened face showed worry. Arthur's emotionless face showed a flicker respect and thanks appeared. He stepped out of his tent his knights bowed behind their swords before standing. He lost himself in thought as his gaze looked over the forming battlefield already the barbarians where amassing below his army stood ready. A word too his trusted knights they mounted their horses and rode to the front. Merlin for a first time in many a moon had come forward he felt he would be needed today fate was bringing two powerful winds together one will break the other. In his many readings this was a first. It worried him, while the future was impossible to predict small nuances could be seen. Victory, tragic or majestic would happen the day. Hopefully majestic. He rode his horse forward, behind the second line, near the archers. Arthur he knew would not ride forward until the barbarians below were showing weakness. His skill at warfare was prodigious for who he really was. A clear horn was blown, the barbarians had started coming up the hill, even these tactless raiders understood being at the bottom of this hill was deadly. The thunder of hooves rang out as their Cavalry went down to deal a serious blow to their vanguard. A sweeping move to reduce losing to much cavalry as well as blunt the momentum of the incoming troops. The sound of battle below could be heard below arrows flew through the air their infantry had moved forward though at the terrain disadvantage the barbarians had both numbers and strength. He moved his horse forward today he must follow Arthur or today the hope of Britain's future could be lost.
Below Naruto bellowed a savage war cry, his cry was echoed by his fellows, while not the leader of this band of brutes his skill and strength made him a desired leader into battle. The first horsemen with their lances charged forward he had a group of men throw out a hail of axes. The blood splashed as the axes pierced the thighs and bodies of the horse causing chaos within this group of cavalry. Like vicious tiger and wolves his men jumped forward to create more chaos, using hooks and ropes to drag men from horses while others aimed solely for the horses, for the barbarians horses where unneeded for most battles, most knights didn't armor their horses, especially after numerous battles most of the horses in front where covered in leather or bits of armor. Taking down the horses made it easier to kill the men who fell off them or underneath them. He took no pleasure killing these men. His sword flashing out killing those who tried to fight back. He frowned even with their tactic quite a few men had been killed by lucky or slightly skilled riders. As the end of the horsemen rode off to once again gain ground, a wave of infantry stamped forth. He sheathed his sword taking out a heavy hammer in one hand a throwing axe in the other. He began running forward. He searched among the charging soldiers looking for someone important, seeing no one that stood out he swung his hammer bashing in the shield throwing the man back into the man behind. Years living in this world without chakra his muscles had grown larger his frame thicker, the little chakra in his body pushed his strength beyond normal men even abnormal men. He wouldn't die here he would return to that girl who had saved his heart. As he crashed into the enemy his fast moving hands and quick sense made those who tried to slash at him miss or where easily parried with Naruto's hooked throwing axe catching and moving the blade off path. He aimed at shoulders, elbows, weapons, heads as he past by bone and flesh broke under his blows, but he kept moving while swinging his hammer around his throwing axe would cut at exposed necks hands faces any place not covered by armor or chainmail. He felt that every step the rain of arrows seemed heavier, men fell around him. He could vague see groups moving upwards it wasn't even funny how few those group where. Maybe luck or they were just stronger, it didn't matter. He started to bring his group out to regroup. Once he reorganized his area he frowned currently the center was messy cavalry had been pulled back on their side heavily injured but so was the line. Even though it seemed to be pushing forward each gain was full of blood and bodies. He went of to the chief told him his plan pointing out a flatter area on the right side, where there number were lighter as their army was able to position better, not used to such a sloped attack. Together their remaining men left their position gathering a few other groups aiming for the weakening right side, not only to booster the attack but cut through them and gain an advantage, a road to survival.
Up on the hill Arthur saw a group from the enemy's left retreat and begin moving towards an area that they had put most of their attention on from the moment the cavalry was sent out to sweep enemy lines. The many waves attacking them had pushed them back and cut their numbers, but the movement below went against expectations, once they had gained the even ground on their right they would then have the start of a pincer along with the fact of them heading down hill would cut through the other army. The moving mercenary group she had set up on the wings would begin sweeping and killing all the fleeing barbarians. But here a group was going to reinforce the place he considered the focal point of the plan. He signaled Lancelot they were heading down. Merlin at the back the knights rode down he unsheathe Excalibur.(should it be Caliburn?) Both groups reached the chaotic line Arthur blade cut through the barbarians his knights easily pushing creating an area for the new force. From the right came the new force at the head A blond haired men he looked a little different from those around him, He wasn't as tall but his form was muscles and full hidden strength, what stood out was he was covered in blood dying his flesh and hair reddish, only his sky blue eyes showed him as human. Arthur watched as those eyes widened, Lancelot's shield had thrust itself infront of the his face, a heavy thunk of something aimed at his face surprised him.
Naruto cursed, men screaming out their outrage and insult to both the knight and at Naruto, even though they might have been implied as joking during battle they came out as rough insults. Naruto pulled out another axe he ran towards the nearest rider swinging his hammer in a wide sweep bashing into the horses head. Blood blossomed out he stepped around the dead horse building chakra into his limbs, like an ancient beast the residual chakra began to increase his power. Drawing another axe so he now held one in each hand, he jumped forward as the two sides clashed once again. It was apparent among these barbarians this warrior was one of a kind, more barbarians seem to have rallied here, no arrows falling and many of them finding good footing had dragged the main battle here. The man covered in blood seemed to gain more than he lost. Arthur's knights were being forced slowly back merely by this man, like a tide that fighting would intensify as more and more fell and at every clash this beast would find it way at its head. A few arrows showed on his leather armor it was impossible to tell if any had made him bleed. Merlin looked on, his eyes upon that man who fought within the chaos flowing like a great river or a wind in a storm. He could do little here his wisdom was little help here he blessed the knights to have strength to save their king.
Arthur once again slew another barbarian who slipped by his knights' horses. As much as having the higher advantage was helping their horses where impeding the infantry behind them, forcing his horse back watching as his knights let more and more infantry through to stabilize the line once again he looked towards the barbarian slaying his way through his army. He saw a horrible scene Lancelot was thrown from his horse when the bloodied man used a helmet off a man who he had used his arm to crush the neck of, to bludgeon it. The horses face had caved in throwing its body as its momentum took a great shift. Arthur urged his horse, shouting an order for archers in the direction of Lancelot, listening as a symphony of whishes and whistles flew overhead. Monster, was the thought of Arthur as he watched the bloodied man wrestle a knight and horse to the ground to steal a new weapon for his now empty hand. He drove his horse harder, reaching as much of a gallop as the chaotic fighting would allow. His men rallied behind him forcing a new flow into the human chaos. This flow would push back the barbarians from the edge. While this flat area was perfect for both side to gain ground considering the initial battle field position its forefront was wide while it tapered out as it ended at the back of the hill. With the soldiers moving from front to back there became less and less room for the majority of the barbarians. A great battle cry came from the infantry and knights feeling the pace of the battle once again at their hands. This of course was after and unimportant to the king as he watched as one of his most trusted knight and advisor was faced with death. Wielding Excalibur high in the air, he gave out his own battle cry and finally reached the bloodied man. More and more barbarians were being pushed back creating a nominal space between this barbarian and the rest. Riding closer he could finally see that this man was tall but shorter than most of his fellows. He now held a throwing axe and a halberd. His form terrifying and even as he headed towards Lancelot he was in motion his axe swung out, and the halberd was used to poke, block and push those around him. Arthur gave a final cry as he leaped from his horse sending out a great sweep of his sword his horse legs were sent flying as the halberd came spinning out cutting into the flesh. The blade flashed as the axe used to block was sent flying. Excaliber truly the sword of victory. The barbarian finally locked eyes blue meeting blue. The man gave a roar deafening the sound around them. He swung the halberd, taking a quick jump back dodging another swing, Arthur gave a great swing of his sword down cutting through the iron pole of the halberd. The bloodied man took a great step back slashing out with the rest of the halberd to keep the other men at distance. Hate and angry grew in the eyes of this barbarian. As this creature more than man seemed to decide to take it all out on this young king Lancelot who saved by the king had been able to gain a sword and rushed out. Both knights stabbed out seeking this butchers life. Flashes of metal shining in the light, rings of metal on metal echoed out followed by a sickening sound of flesh being pierced.
Naruto looked down at his side a blade now sunk into his body like a horrible needle. The one holding the blade was viciously knocked aside. His anger at its peak, men he had called brothers at arms the great tribes were no more, he still had hope even after all this he had hope to return or he would curse these folks for as long as their ideals would live.
Arthur watched as Lancelot was able to sink in a blade into their foes' flank. Only to realize as Lancelot was viciously assaulted immediately after, it was hard to say if he let them injure him or he understood he would be injured no matter what he tried and decided to remove an obstacle.
"YOu. #(*& ! Com'ere boY!" A gutteral cry came in poor english from the man in front as he made a great leap towards Arthur. A blade in his side, hands empty, blood covering his frame. Arthur thrust his sword true, aiming for the heart. Beyond expectation in the barbarians hand was a large metal ring. He lacked time to comprehend as the ring slide over Excalibers tip and slide down the length forcing it out of the way as he other hand struck out towards his neck. His entire form shook as the empty fist smacked his jugular, two Sky blue eyes started at each other. One in shock and the other in aggression and finality. The momentary contact was short as the barbarians eyes looked elsewhere a feral smile left on his lips. Arthur was thrown across the field a thick leg denting his chest plate.
Naruto stood weaponless before the brunt of the enemy army, bleeding with a nice shiny blade in his side, his one regret was that on top of losing his steel ring was his lack of weapon to follow through on the fancily dressed warrior. His smile was not without meaning, someone of intelligence had sent out a row of riders to skewer him to save the two he had briefly crossed. having kicked away the other blonde he rushed sideways aiming for the edge of the small clearing of semi calm. He would rather not be run over and stomped to death by horses, his stride was powerful reaching the edge nearest to him by the third step. He could feel the rumble behind him but he gave them no mind as he tackled a rider off a passing horse. Using the horse as a flesh shield he ignored the downed rider to once again reach another rider, blades and fists and curses flew around him. He cared little, his quick movements left no more than small cuts and hand prints. he jumped on the buttocks of a stalled horseman whose flashing blade swung out again and again into the surrounding men around him. having gained a new foot hold his arms flashed out and caught the mans sword arm, his other arm powerfully wrapped around the mans neck. He looked back. featureless faces stuck mid yells or rage or desperation faces of war filled his vision. But amongst all the chaos three distinct faces stood out. Two he was well acquainted with for they had a lovely scuffle. The last was an older face, time weathered but with shining gray eyes. With a harsh snap the man in his arm went limp, the body fell heavily onto the ground. With reins in hand he grit his teeth as he forced the horse forward running ally and enemy over as he flew back into his army. Hours later he along with hundreds of others retreated defeated but no less the victor.
Arthur stood upon a hill surrounded by leftover weapons and armor down below bodies were dragged away to be burned or buried. The distant hills climbed higher and higher in front of his eyes. A look of defeat. this land would be the farthest north his kingdom would go. The northern barbarians stood in a great alliance against him. They had defeated the united army but they hadn't scattered them or had the power to dig deeper. A gray figure climbed the Hill. Arthur had stood a top this hill for hours directing the clean up watching the distance.
"Arthur. Come down, your Knights need you."
"Arthuria, just today at this moment once call me my name." A long silence ensued only broke by Sky Blue eyes meeting Gray.
"Arthuria, come a Victory has to be accepted in stride as much as a defeat. With this boundary set your land his finally been given shape it time to rise to your fate and this land needs its King."
He, no She nodded her head. This was a victory as much as they lost the goal or destroying the strength of the northern groups or digging out their land, this battle was the decisive victory over them. Now was the time to fit the final pieces together and sit as King. She, no he turned from his Northern gaze and turn homeward. "Merlin, come with this we can bring our Knight home."
"Yes your Majesty!"
He stood in front of his brother's bags and supplies piled to the side. "Its best if we can gain a discourse with this king. if not than either they or us will act no better than dogs in the coming years. If words can change our fate i see no reason to fight."
"you the great war hero talking."
"Laugh you lumox, time ahead demands a bird's view of the coming years," Naruto along with a group headed south makes way to Camelot on a mission of discourse over the northern barbarian groups and peace.
