Once Upon an Anime
The story opens with a nice-looking mansion that belong to a family's uncle who is a big anime fan and owned many DVD's, pictures, books or whatever around his place that his family can enjoy. It was late afternoon and he and his family were going out for dinner. As they were leaving the mansion, one of his nephews was talking to his uncle about his anime collection.
Nephew-I'm so amazed that your collection of anime is so big. Kids to adults, short to long, there's somethings for everyone. In fact, after seeing that Disney short, "Once Upon a Studio," what if these anime characters did something like that?
Uncle-Really? (Chuckling) Now that would be something to see.
The family leaves and as the door closes, the camera moves to a wall of pictures, with one of them showing Pokémon's Ash, Pikachu, Misty and Brock. Suddenly, Ash moves in the picture.
Ash-Psst, Negi. Negi, are you there?
Negima's Negi pops out of his manga and lands in front of the Pokémon picture.
Ash- Is that it? Are they all gone?
Negi-The house is empty, Ash. All ready for that picture you suggested.
Ash, Pikachu, Misty and Brock jump out of their picture.
Ash-All right! Come on guys, it's time.
Brock-Yeah, anything Disney can do, we can do.
Misty-This is going to be so exciting.
Ash-Then let's get the others. Pikachu, give the signal.
Pikachu-Pika. (Takes a big breath.) PIKACHU!
Pikachu's call can be heard in the whole mansion. Every anime character knew what that meant. We cut to one of the hallways where Digimon pictures are hung.
Tai-(Gasps) There's the signal. (He and his friends leap out of their picture) Come on everyone! It's picture time.
Davis (Popping out of his picture)-That's tonight?
Tai's Agumon-That's now.
Takuya-The big group photo.
Zoe (Digimon)-This is going to be amazing.
Bokomon (As the Digimon Frontier group jump out.)-Let's not waste any time. Let's hop to it.
T.J.-Oh, a digi-pun. (Chuckles) Heard a lot of those.
Marcus-Oh, yeah! Whoa. (Falls down and almost lands on Tommy.)
We move to another area as Brock races by pictures of the Doremi trio.
Brock-Picture time, witchlings.
Dorie (As she Reanne and Mirabelle jump out.)-Ok, here we come.
Mirabelle (In front of a picture of Cardcaptor Sakura.)-Wake up, Sakura! It's time!
Cardcaptor Sakura (Jumping out.)-I'm coming, guys. Don't worry!? (She slips on the floor and passes Nakahito and his three steel angels.)
Saki-Oh, dear.
Nakahito (Spots Biyomon.)-Hey, Biyomon. Get the guys upstairs.
Biyomon-You got it! Come on, digi-flyers, up and away!
Biyomon, Tentomon, Hawkmon, Sparrowmon and Patamon fly through the house past other anime characters heading to the front yard. As they fly upstairs, we see Himeno galloping by laughing to herself as Playmaker, Blue Angel, and The Gore race by on their duel boards.
Zoey (As she and her Mew Mew friends jump out)-It's Mew Mew time.
The Mew Mew team race off and pass Minato and his Sekirei group.
Minato-Remember everybody, we're meeting in the front!
Issei (As he slides down the stairs, carrying Asia.)-Ok, see you guy there.
Rias (Appearing out of nowhere catches Issei and Asia laughing)-Gotcha!
Speed Racer (Coming around the corner is with Kimba the Withe Lion roaring in the passenger seat.)-Let's speed it up folks!
Monkey D. Luffy (Coming in with Naruto and Bleach's Ichigo)-Race you down, guys.
Naruto-You're on.
The three race downstairs as other characters from their shows followed them at a slower pace. Nagasumi hurries in and catches Sun who turned into her mermaid form after touching water.
Nagasumi-Again?
Sun (Sighs)-Again. I don't know why I keep falling victim to this.
Gozaburo (Appearing behind the two.)-Hey, maggot, what do you think your doing to my little Sun? Why I outa…
Sun (Angry)-Dad, if you try to hurt my Nagasumi or ruin this big picture, I'll hate you forever.
Gozaburo (Sad)-Yes, Sun.
Nagasumi-You must be tough to make you dad stand down.
Sun-If he and the others think they can get rid of you, they have another thing coming.
Nagasumi-Well, let's get you dried off.
Nagasumi carries his mermaid to a small dining area where Keita and his older twin step-sisters, Ako and Riko, were waiting for Ruby to serve them a drink, while Konoka, Setsuna, Jack and Carly are having a little tea time.
Keita-Can we move this along? We have to meet the others.
Nagasumi-Ruby! Do you have any towels?
Ruby-Oh, of course. I always have some handy.
Chamo-Hey there, sweet thing. (Sun yelps and slaps him away, only to crash into Yukari's witch hat and falls in as the girl catches it. He pops out and sees the girl who owns the hat.) Hi-ya, toots.
Yukari (Unamused)-Hey, Negi, your ermine is in my hat again.
Asuna (Takes Chamo out of the hat as Tsukune and Moka watch on)-Trust me, kid. This guy is more trouble than he's worth.
In another part of the mansion, can be seen banging on a vending machine, Gutsman not happy that that what he wanted didn't come out.
Gutsman-Gutsman not happy with machine! Machine not give Gutsman what he wants! This makes Gutsman very angry!
During this, Yukinari and his friends from Girls Bravo walk past the NetNavi worried by his actions.
Koyomi-Goodness.
Yukinari-You don't think all the troublemakers will show up, do you?
Kirie (After flipping a picture of the two Fukuyama siblings to the wall to keep them from leaving.)-Not all of them.
Meanwhile, in another part of the top floor of the mansion, Sailor Mars was waiting for the elevator. It opens to reveal Cilan, Bud, Usopp, Jiraiya, Light and Ikaros.
Cilan (As Sailor Mars walks in.)-Going down.
Gong-Wait up. (The group in the elevator see Gong walking to the elevator, I'll-be-it, not very fast.) Hold the elevator, please.
Sailor Mars-Huh? Oh, great, it's one of the slow ones.
In the drawing room, Rikka is seen drawing a picture while humming to herself, as May and Max pass by, along with Yūta, Shinka and Sanae.
Yūta-Hey, Rikka! Shake a leg, will ya?
Rikka-The leg won't make a difference. It's all in the wrist.
Astral (Appearing out of nowhere.)-How very true.
Rikka gets startled by the spirit as Yuma comes in.
Yuma-Way to go, Astral. You really made her jump. Even more than I ever could.
Rikka-I'll never understand how you Yu-Gi-Oh! guys work.
In one of the bathrooms, Sailor Venus, Dawn, Mizuho, Ino, Hanon, Julie, Kuriko, Kurumu, Matsu, Aoi (CPC), Akiza, Nodoka and Yami can be seen checking the mirror to make sure they're at their best.
Kuriko-If only the other girls were as attractive as me. (But while checking herself, Elizabeth, the ghost girl who hangs around her, plays around with her hair, laughing as she does so.)
Misty (Coming in.)-Let's move it along, ladies.
In another part of the mansion, Tionishia got stuck in one of the hallway doors as the rest of the Mon Squad try to get her out.
Tionishia-Oh, oh dear, how troubling.
Kimihito and his monster girls walk past on their way down stairs.
Kimihito-Remember, this is a special event. So, all of you behave yourselves. That means you two.
Kimihito was referring to Yuna and Chizuru, who both were about to get Kazuki and Kouta around their arms and are not happy being told not to do that. Rachnera grabs the two girls and ties them with her web and puts them on her spider half, impressing the boys and Akane, who's not often impressed by anything.
Akane-Nice job stopping those two.
Rachnera-Yes, well, it's all in the skill.
In one of the living rooms, the Ham-Hams are watching the first epsidoe of Yu-Gi-Oh! as the rest of the Megaman group, NT and Starforce, along with Lupin 3rd and Laura passed by them.
Laura-Come on, Ham-Hams, you're going to get a fright by that show.
A Blue-Eyes White Dragon pops out of the screen, scaring the Ham-Hams just as Ataru and Lum came out of their picture as the Hamsters surprisingly drag Ataru away. As Lum flies after her darling, Sorata (AKA Mouse) and his helpers appear.
Sorata-Let's hurry, ladies. A photo waits for no one.
Mei, Yayoi and Hazuki-Of course, master!
Back at the elevator, Gong finally gets in the elevator. The others inside weren't happy that he took so long.
Gong-Made it. Thank you for holding the elevator.
Sailor Mars-Don't mention it. Seriously, don't!
Big (Showing up)-I'm also going downstairs.
Big gets inside, much to everyone's annoyance, as the elevator door finally close.
In another part of the mansion, Sheshe and Mimi (MM) were walking along when Mimi (MM) speeds up.
Mimi (MM)-You better speed up, sis. Looks like someone's crushing on you.
Sheshe (Looking back to see Team Rocket's Meowth all lovestruck)- Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Later, Kaoru and Aoi (AYA) come down the stairs as Kaoru's shoe comes off. The two laugh at that as Guilmon shows up and takes the shoe away.
Guilmon-Gotcha.
Kaoru-Hey, Guilmon, give that back. Hey, Takato, tame your Digimon.
Aoi (AYA)-Hurry, Guilmon.
Ash, Pikachu, Misty and Brock come in to see them leave as they see Takurō walking while covering his ears as Muromi follows him, on a skateboard, singing pretty bad.
Misty-Oh, no, not her again.
Ash-Can someone do something about this?
Yoko (Passing by)-Don't worry, guys. (Chuckles) I'll take care of this.
Yoko hits Muromi on the head with her rifle to make the mermaid stop. Ash and the others then see a picture of a real person they know, Takeshi Shudo, Pokémon's scriptwriter who made Ash's adventures in the show's early days. They remember the man for making them who they are and wish he was still around to see how their series became over the years.
Serena (Offscreen)-Ash! Where are you? Everyone lining up down here!
Ash (Sighs and talks to the picture.)-We got to go, but thanks. Gotta catch'em all.
Soon multiple characters line up for the picture as Ash makes it down stairs to lead everyone to the front yard. Phoenix Wright and his gang, along with Masato and his mom, Mamako, with Don Patch not far behind.
Phoenix (Opening the door)-Coast is clear, Ash.
Ash goes through and finds Serena talking with Amy and Cream while Haruna and Yui watch them on the side.
Serena (Seeing Ash)-Ash! (The two hold hands as they meet.) I can't wait for this picture to happen.
Ash-Trust me, Serena. This is going to go down in anime history.
Rito walks to the door, but bumps into the doorframe. The others take notice of this.
Cream-Are you ok, Mr. Rito?
Rito-Ah, never better, Cream. (Trips over his two feet, as usual, thankfully, the girls weren't in his way as he fell as Seto Kaiba and his brother, Mokuba, arrive.) Ow.
Seto Kaiba-Why am I always surrounded by (suddenly startled by Sonic racing by.) losers!?
Sonic-Picture time, everyone. Let's line up.
Misty-Hey, Nadia, heads up!
Nadia turns and jumps out of the way as Crow and Goh bring a ladder to place the camera on.
Kitty (Walking by with her sister, Mimmy)-I can't wait to see how this turns out.
Couvert (Arriving with Millhiore and Leonmichelli.)-This is so exciting!
Leonmichelli-I hope this is worth our time.
Millhiore-It will be Leo, don't worry.
Ash tries to get the large group of anime characters into place, with the hard part being to figure out who to put where.
Ash-Ok, everyone, get together now. (Sees Astro Boy.) Oh, after you.
Astro Boy stands next to Tyson and Hilary with Haru, Elie, Plue, Gaara, Kankuro, Temari, Chaud, Protoman, Edward and Alphonse watch on.
Tyson-Whoa, hey now.
Sora (KS) (Handing Goh the camera.)-It is time to capture this moment.
Goh (Grabs the camera.)-Thanks.
Ash (Getting worried seeing Goh on the unstable ladder.)-Goh, be careful!
Goh-Don't worry, Ash! I know what I'm doing. Now where's the timer button on this thing?
Meowth (Watching with Jessie, James, Maximillion Pegasus, Orochimaru, Kabuto, Gaito and Rossweisse)- Oh, oh! Three, two, one!
Goh falls off the ladder and the camera breaks into pieces. Shoutmon comes and start to bang the mess before Mikey grabs and drags him back before anymore damage can be done.
Shobu (With Rekuta, Mimi, Sayuki, Syrus, Skuld, Kusano and Noir.)-Well, that was a big waste of time.
Syrus (Turns to leave.)-Oh, well. Maybe we can try again next year.
Rin, Cathy, Doraemon, Sailor Saturn, Kaede, Hyosuke, Karen, Tenten, Jelly Jiggler, Haruna, Uzume and Erza were sad by this and turn to go back into the mansion.
Ash- Oh, no, no, no. Wait, come back. It-It-It'll be ok. It'll be…
Serena-Everyone, wait. (Everyone stops and looks at her.) We can't quit on this opportunity, we have to do this. We might not get another chance like this again.
Faye-Face it, kid. The cameras busted, there's no point being here tonight.
Kagome-Yeah, what more can we do about it?
Serena-Well, remember the Disney version? When they thought all hope was lost, they started singing their anthem song and things got better. If it worked for them, maybe it can work for us.
Natsu-Are you sure about that?
Suddenly, the sound of a ukulele is heard playing "When You Wish Upon a Star." Everyone turns to see Nagasumi playing the song as Sun, Lunar, Mawari and Akeno listen to the tune. Then a horn can be heard as Monkey D. Luffy is seen playing it next to Nami, Jimmy, Rachel, Zuzu, and Gong as Yuya joins in with an accordion. The Pokémon gang are happy at this as some of the characters join in the song.
Aoi (AYA) (With Tina, Miyabi, Taeko, Mayu, Chika, Kio, Eris, Nobita, Shizuka and Zatch watching.)-"Anything your heart desires…"

(During the song, Chloe and her Eevee help get the camera pieces to Goh as it gets fixed good as new by Lala (TLR). Goku puts the ladder back up as Negi uses his magic to float Goh to the top as he sets the timer.

The picture is taken and is placed in the uncle's bedroom, somehow, he knew that these anime guys would do something like this.
