In this one, Izumi makes his debut

Izumi was overlooking the city, having officially finished his suit, and taking the mantle of a real life superhero
-"Never had I thought I would make something like this" the young hero thought to himself "But I know I have to, to protect those who cannot protect themselves, to bring peace to Hino once more!"
And so, he kept on waiting, with each minute, the sun began to set down on the horizon, marking the beginning of nighttime
-"I should have brought something to eat, I am starving" he let out a sigh "I guess crime doesn't have to happen everyday, which is a good thing of course. Maybe I should try going out a bit more late. But then again, I don't want to leave mom alone at night that late, I could"
His train of thoughts were interrupted when he heard a scream
-"Hurry up!"
Looking towards the direction of that voice, he noticed a nearby jewelry store, with a truck parked outside
-"I should check that out"
Jumping from rooftop to rooftop, he eventually landed on top of said store, climbed down the wall, and poked his head around the wall
He could see what was happening inside
-"Empty the register!" a female thug, no older than 20, yelled while pointing with her pistol at the store´s clerk
-"And put all the jewels in the bag!" her partner said
-"N-No, y-you can't do this" the panicked store wonder said, in fear for his life
-"Do you not see us carrying the gun?" the female criminal sarcastically asked "Now hurry up!"
-"Yeah, and don't even think of calling the police once we leave" her partner said
To this, the female thug scoffed "As if they'll ever find us anyway" she turned her attention to the owner "Now, again, drop the valuables!"
Izumi rested against the well, taking a deep breath, and letting it out "Ok, you can do this Izumi, you have your powers, so don´t panic"
Once he was ready, he entered the store "Stop!"
They all turned towards the source of the voice, and looked at him with equally puzzled looks
-"Who is this freak?" the male criminal asked
-"Freak?!" he was offended
-"You escaped from a festival or something?" the female criminal asked
-"N-No" Izumi shook his head "I am Spider-man!"
No one said a single word
Until
-"Pfft" the female thug sneered "Hehehe"
-"Hahahaha"
The criminal duo laughed at him
To this, the young hero´s face turned red, thank goodness for the mask "Ok, not what I was expecting"
-"Hehe" the female bandit recovered herself "Ok, that was a good laugh, Spider-man, and since you made us laugh, I´ll let you leave in peace, so shoo shoo, away with you"
-"N-No!" Izumi yelled back "I won't let you steal this store!"
The criminal duo exchange a look, and then the female one spoke "Look, buddy, you´re clearly out of your league here, leave, before you regret it"
-"Yeah" the male one added "I mean, what's in it for you anyway?"
-"Because" he clenched his fist, remembering his late father "It's my responsibility to help those who need it, so" he took a boxing stance, as best as he could anyway "I won't allow you to hurt innocent people"
The female criminal let out a sigh "Suit yourself" she looked at his partner "Be a dear and kick his ass, I don't want to waste any ammo"
-"Alright" the male criminal cracked his knuckles as he approached Izumi "Time to teach you to mind your own business, Spider-man"
And so, he took a left jab at the young hero
However, he dodged it, thanks to his enhanced reflexes
-"Eh?" the criminal was confused "Lucky save"
He tried with a right hook, and again, failed
-"Why, you punk!" no matter how many punches he threw, not a single one was close to land on Izumi
-"Hey!" his partner impatiently yelled "Stop playing around!"
-"I know that!" he kept throwing left and right, with no success
It was Izumi´s turn to counter attack "Sorry for doing this" and so, he delivered a powerful fist against´s his opponent chest
-"Gah!" the criminal could feel the air leaving his body as he was sent back flying towards his partner
-"What the" those were her last words before her partner collided against her, the heavy momentum combined with the weight hitting her and knocking them both down to the floor
-"Ugh" they both groaned in pain
Izumi was catching his is the second time he has done something like this, but the sensation was still new to him "Remember Izumi, always held your strength, criminals or not, they are still people"
He went to check on them, using his fingers, he could still feel their heartbeats and their chest slightly rising up and down "Good, they´re just unconscious"
He then looked at the store owner "Are you ok?"
-"Um, y-yeah" the owner replied, barely processing what he´d just witnessed
-"Good" he felt relieved "Call the police, and don´t worry, it looks to me they are not getting up for some time"
-"Eh, sure"
With a nod, he headed towards the exit "I am leaving now"
-"W-Wait" the owner called him out, but he was gone
Climbing up, he was now in a nearby building´s rooftop, once in there, he sat down, and took off his mask, thankfully, no one or anything was around
-"Uff" he felt tired "Glad that turned out well"
He heard the sirens of a police car
Looking from his position, he could see the police putting the criminals into the vehicle, no doubt to go to jail
-"He´s safe, and those two won't cause any more problems" he smiled at the sky, feeling satisfied that he made the difference, and that he could make it from now on "I did it, dad"
Putting his mask on, he left the rooftop, heading home
Meanwhile, at the crime scene
-"So" a police officer was taking the owner´s statement "Tell me again, who saved you?"
-"I am not sure!" the owner was struggling to explain it "It was some strange person with a black and red suit, wearing a mask. He had a red spider, I think, on the chest, he simply showed up, and told them to stop"
The officer looked at his partner, clearly not believing this, he then looked at the owner "And this… masked figure had a name?"
The owner put a hand on his chin "It was… Spider-man"
Over the next couple of days, what started as something as little as a random rumor your heard on the streets, or a legend on the internet, became local news
-"And so" the news anchor said "The attack at the people in the local park was stopped by this strange figure that has taken over the local news these last couple of days"
The TV showed footage of Spider-man, as best at it could, as he stopped a couple of armed criminals
-"This marks the 5th deed carried out by the masked figured, who, according to some witnesses, refers to himself as Spider-man"
Izumi was watching the news as he was having breakfast, feeling somewhat surprised that he already made it into the local news so fast "That's the power of the internet for you, I guess"
-"Ryuji-san" the news anchor looked at his colleague "What do you think of this strange individual?"
-"Well, Yusuke-san, it is certainly the new talk of the town. I´ve been checking internet forums which described him jumping from building to building as he goes around, always ready for action, and I am not referring to just stopping criminals"
He showed footage of him helping an old lady stand up after she fell on the sidewalk "He also seems to have done things as little as this"
-"I remember that lady, she wanted to buy me some candy" he chuckled at himself, he appreciated the gesture, but politely declined
-"True" Yusuke continued "Still, one can´t help but wonder who he is, and where did he come from. The police is running an investigation on him, but they haven't found anything yet"
-"Yeah, guess all we can do is wait to see where the mystery of Spider-man lead us to" he went through his papers "In other news, Mr. Wilson Fisk has"
Turning the TV off, Izumi felt proud, he might never get an answer as to why he was given these powers, but he knew he could do good with them now
-"Yuu" his mother called him "Can you help me with these before you go to school?"
-"Sure" he went to her, she was checking some financial papers "What is it?"
-"Just reviewing some financial documents, your father was far more expert on this than me though"
-"We´ll get it done together" he was not the best in that area either, but two heads think better than one, right?
-"I am a little worried" his mother said "Despite the pension we are receiving, we are a little short on money"
Izumi was concerned "What can we do?"
-"I think I might need to get a job"
Izumi was nervous "Are you sure? It hasn't been that long yet, we are still trying to… come to terms with that"
-"I know, it has not been easy, for neither of us"
-"I can clean the houses around the neighborhood" he volunteered "A lot of our neighbors complain how they never have time to do it, it will earn us some yens at the very least"
-"Yuu" his mother was touched "If you want to, but don't let it get in the way of your studies, and don't try to do too much at once, I´ll see what I can do to contribute too"
-"But mom"
-"Yuu" she held his hand "Don´t worry, we are all together on this"
To this, his cat jumped on the table
-"You too, huh?" he chuckled at his companion
Despite the tragedy they went through, this family was not one that could give up easily
He was now at school, having lunch with his friends and girlfriend
-"Hey!" Nekozaki said "Have you guys seen the news about that masked figure?"
-"You mean Spider-man?" Shikimori asked
-"Yes"
-"I have" Hachimitsu said "I saw in some videos that he shoots some sort of web like thing, wonder if it is organic or some device?"
This surprised Izumi, he was not expecting to be the talk among his friends about his hero persona that soon, specially when they don´t know he is Spider-man
-"It is organic, though web shooters do sound cool"
-"Hard not to" Inuzuka said "He's all over the internet and news, one of my younger siblings says he's a real life superhero, and wants to be like him"
Izumi felt touched by the kind words, he only wished he could say thank you in return
-"Well, he's not the only one who says that" Nekozaki continued "I mean, just look at this"
She showed them the footage of one of Izumi´s deeds, in this one, it showed him climbing a building
-"Wow" Shikimori was astonished "He truly can climb like a spider"
-"I know, right?! He's amazing!"
Izumi felt happy
-"Oh, god" Hachimitsu groaned "Here she goes"
-"What?" Shikimori asked
-"She´s gonna start gushing about him again, I had to listen to that on the way home yesterday"
-"I do not gush!" Nekozaki defended herself "I just think he's amazing!" he showed them another article, this one had a photo of him as he was helping that old lady, and therefore, it was much closer "I mean, between us, he has those thighs, and that tight little"
-"TMI!" Inuzuka yelled, clearly not wanting to know how that sentence ended
-"Oh, come on!" Nekozaki yelled back
Shikimori giggled, while Hachimitsu let out a sigh
Meanwhile, Izumi has his face covered by a book
One would think he was just revising a lesson, but no
He was hiding the uncomfortable blush on his face
-"Aghhhhhhhhhh!" he was internally screaming "I did not need to hear that! It's like I am cheating on Shikimori-san!"
He wasn´t
Once he was calm, he put the book down, thankfully nobody noticed that
-"I guess it only makes sense, people develop that sort of… admiration for movie stars and the like, so this is just a case of that, it goes double considering I am the first ever superhero… But those are Nekozaki-san´s deepest secrets, I can´t tell her that Spider-man, that is, I, heard that, she would die from embarrassment, plus she's just a friend to me, and I am sure the feeling is mutual'' he felt a shiver down his back "Doesn't mean I am forgetting that anytime soon"
It was sunday now, they are having the sport day event on the following day, unfortunately, they couldn't meet up for practice
But it was ok, he felt confident on his team
And so, he decided to help around his neighborhood, but this time, not as a superhero
-"Yoshino-san" Izumi bowed "Welcome back"
-"Thank you, Izumi-kun"
-"I did everything on the list, mopped the floor, clean the windows, took care of the dishes, the garbage,went grocery shopping, and bought the spare parts, everything"
-"I can see that, everything looks sparkling, you really are amazing"
-"Please, it was nothing, I like doing this"
-"Well, regardless, a job well done deserves a proper reward" she took out some bills "6000 yen, is that ok?"
-"Yeah, It really is" he went to pick up the bills, but, he looked down
-"Is something wrong?" she looked concerned
-"No, it just" he grabbed his neck in discomfort "It feels bad taking money from you, we all live in the same neighborhood, we should help each other without expecting money in return"
-"Izumi-kun" she smiled at him "You´re quite humble, I can tell your parents raised you well, and yes, we are neighbors, hence why I want to help you, and as I said, a job well done deserves a reward"
-"Are you sure?"
-"I'll tie it to your wrist if you don´t"
He chuckled, finally accepting the money "Thank you"
-"No need, you were a tremendous help… Oh, how is Motoko-chan?"
-"Doing slightly better, I can tell she is worried about finances though, hence me doing this" he got nervous "I mean, I would still do it even without the pay"
-"No need to clarify, I know what you mean, I am glad she has such an amazing son"
-"I am not that amazing" well, according to some people, he was amazing Spider-man
-"Don't sell yourself short, young man" she sounded almost reprimanding "I know you´re quite capable, never forget that"
-"I won´t"
-"Good, and make sure not to do anything that worries Motoko-chan, ok?"
-"Of course" having finished everything, he picked up his bag, and left
Walking down the street, he let out a sigh
-"Not do anything that worries mom, yet i am being a superhero behind her back, behind everyone's back"
Ever since he made his debut, that is a question that plagues his mind
-"I know I´ve only being doing this for a couple of days, but I am already local news, if people were to find out who is behind the mask"
He could already imagine reporters camping outside his house, his school, his friends´ houses
It made him feel uncomfortable
-"I don't want that for them. I remember how there were reporters trying to interview mom about dad´s death, she was clearly uncomfortable too"
He let out a sigh once more
-"Guess this is a secret I´ll keep for now, more the reason for me to be careful when I am out there… Speaking of Spider-man, time to do a little patrolling"
Entering a nearby alleway, and once he made sure no one saw him, he took out his mask, put it on, and took out his regular clothes, revealing his spider-man suit
Climbing to the rooftop, he was ready "Let´s do this"
Later at night, Wilson Fisk, A.K.A, Kingpin, was overlooking the city through his window, smoking a cigar
He then heard a knock on the door
-"It's me boss"
-"Come in"
His right hand man entered
-"We have a situation"
-"What is it?"
-"Some of our men got trapped, again"
The Kingpin furrowed his brow "Spider-man, again?"
-"Yeah boss, he again interfered with one of our operations, this time in a local clothing shop"
-"And here I thought that was just some random stuff you find on the internet" he took a puff from his cigar, blowing out the smoke "He's really starting to cut into our profits" he grabbed nearby pencil sharpener, and crushed it with his bare hand "And I don't like it"
-"Me neither boss. Hell, if this keeps up, it's only a matter of time before one of ours rat us out in order to escape, some men are already hesitant to go out in fear of him"
-"That won't happen. I won't allow some random freak in a costume ruin us" he then came up with an idea "Although, he might be more useful than we think"
-"What do you mean?"
-"I want to meet this Spider-man"
-"Eh?" his right hand man was confused "How are we gonna do that?"
-"Easy, we just need to appeal to his hero side. Gather some of our men and bring them here, I´ll explain the plan once you are all here"
-"Sure boss, but what are we gonna do once the freak shows up?"
-"Don´t worry, I´ll take care of that, after all" he showed his lackey a feral grin "Everybody has a price, even this so call superhero"
Little did Izumi know, this meeting
Was gonna be a step into hell
And that´s the end of that, Izumi made his debut, despite people laughing at him
And Nekozaki is crushing on him, or rather, Spider-man, I actually have a meeting planned for them, so look foward to that
Next chapter, Izumi and Kingpin will have their first confrontation
