Petunia: Class dismissed. No running.

(The class leaves except for Christina, Junior and Libby)

Libby: Mom?

Petunia: Yes, sweetheart?

Libby: When Dad gets here, can we all go out for ice cream, please?

Petunia: (Giggles) We sure can.

Junior: (Hopeful) And the arcade too, Mom?

Petunia: Only if you'll be my air hocket partner.

Junior: You got it!

Christina (Sara Crewe): (Happily) I'm glad it's finally summer break so we can spend time with you Mommy and Daddy too!

(Archibald comes into the classroom)

Archibald: Somebody call my name?

(The kids turn to Archibald)

Kids: Dad! Daddy!

(Petunia watches fondly while the kids hurry over to Archibald then Libby hugs his side while Archibald picks up Christina and Junior)

Archibald: I hope you didn't give Mom a hard time on the last day of school.

Petunia: They've been my star pupils like always.

(Archibald looks over at Petunia smiling at him lovingly then puts down Christina and Junior then goes over to Petunia then smirks at her)

Archibald: (Winks) Sorry if I'm a bit late for class, madam.

Petunia: Oh, that's okay. You already get an A plus on manners.

Archibald: How about I grade the teacher for being the most beautiful?

Petunia: (Chuckles) And how can I earn that grade exactly, professor?

Archibald: By doing one simple thing.

Petunia: Name it.

Archibald: Gladly.

(Archibald invisibly pulls Petunia closer then kisses her romantically causing Petunia to moan softly and chuckle)

Junior: Ew!

(Libby and Christina make disgusted faces)

Libby: Yuck! Kissing!

(Archibald and Petunia notice the kids then they both chuckle then Archibald picks up Christina)

Christina (Sara Crewe): Daddy, guess what?

Archibald: What, dear?

Christina (Sara Crewe): Mom said we can get ice cream and go to the arcade!

Junior: Mom already chose me to be her air hockey partner!

Archibald: Well then, (looks over at Petunia) can I at least assist you in a pinball game?

Petunia: (Giggles) I do have trouble holding onto the controls.

Libby: Let's go now! Let's go now!

Petunia: Alright, honey, we're going. Let me just get my supplies.

(Petunia goes over to her desk then picks up her box of teacher supplies then suddenly gasps sharply)

Petunia: Ow!

(Petunia drops the box then doubles over)

Archibald: (Panicked) Petunia!

(Archibald puts Christina down then hurries over to Petunia then helps her stand back up)

Archibald: (Concerned) Are you alright, darling?

Petunia: Y...Yeah. I'm fine. I just had a little backache for a second.

Archibald: (Concerned) Do you need to sit down?

Petunia: Only for a minute.

(Archibald helps Petunia sit down in her chair then invisibly rubs her back while Libby, Junior and Christina watch in concern)

Junior: What's wrong with her, Dad?

Archibald: (Concerned) I don't know, Junior.

Petunia: Nothing's wrong. I just have a backache, that's all.

Archibald: (Concerned) Sweetheart, you've been having these episodes for about a week whenever you try to lift something heavy.

(Petunia frowns then sighs heavily then leans against Archibald)

Petunia: I can't even play outside with my class on the playground.

(Archibald helps Petunia stand up then kisses her forehead)

Archibald: (Concerned) That settles it. I think it's time you see the doctor...today.

Petunia: But the kids were looking forward to all of us going out together...

(Archibald kisses Petunia's cheek)

Archibald: I can still take them, dearest.

(Junior goes over to Archibald and Petunia)

Junior: Dad's right, Mom. You need to see the doctor, that's more important.

(Libby joins Junior)

Libby: (Concerned) What if there's something really, really bad going on with you?

(Christina joins Junior and Libby)

Christina (Sara Crewe): Please see the doctor for us too, Mommy.

(Archibald nuzzles his nose against Petunia's neck)

Archibald: (Concerned) And for me.

(Petunia looks at Archibald then the kids then she sighs then kisses Archibald then looks back over at the kids)

Petunia: Okay.

(The kids cheer then go over to Petunia and Archibald then hug them)

END OF SNIPPET 1

Esther: Hi.

(Mr. Nezzer goes over to Esther then kisses her)

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) I got your text. Are you alright?

Esther: Yeah. (Kisses Mr. Nezzer's cheek) sorry I had to get you away from work early.

Mr. Nezzer: That's okay. I was too worried about what was going on with you to focus.

(Mr. Nezzer invisibly pulls Esther closer)

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) This about why your clothes don't fit?

Esther: Yeah.

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) Anything serious?

Esther: Well...sort of.

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) Essie, you're not going to...?

(Esther quickly kisses Mr. Nezzer)

Esther: No, it's not that.

Mr. Nezzer: (Sighs in relief) Thank goodness.

(Mr. Nezzer kisses Esther)

Mr. Nezzer: But then...how is it serious?

Esther: I looked up all the reasons why this could be happening on my laptop and only one thing came up that matched my other problems I've been having.

Mr. Nezzer: What was it?

(Esther goes over to the table then looks inside her purse then takes out a stick then goes back over to Mr. Nezzer)

Esther: The answer's right here.

(Mr. Nezzer looks at the stick then back up at Esther)

Mr. Nezzer: Isn't that a...?

Esther: It is. A pregnancy test.

Mr. Nezzer: (Hopeful) A pregnancy test? Does that mean...?

Esther: There was a plus sign. It's positive.

(Mr. Nezzer's eyes light up)

Mr. Nezzer: (Happily) You're pregnant, Essie?

Esther: I am. We're having a baby, Nebby.

(Mr. Nezzer moves closer to Esther then invisibly brushes her hair away)

Mr. Nezzer: (Softly) Sweetheart...

(Mr. Nezzer kisses Esther romantically then presses their foreheads together)

Mr. Nezzer: How far along?

Esther: According to the internet, about a month.

Mr. Nezzer: I can't believe it. (Looks down at Esther's stomach) I really can't believe it.

(Mr. Nezzer sinks down to his 'knees' then lightly presses his cheek against Esther's stomach)

Mr. Nezzer: (To Esther's stomach, cooing) Hello in there. I'm your Daddy.

(Esther looks down at Mr. Nezzer smiling lovingly)

Esther: Nebby, people are staring.

(Mr. Nezzer looks up at Esther)

Mr. Nezzer: Do I look like I care?

Esther: (Chuckles) No.

(Mr. Nezzer focuses back on Esther's stomach)

Mr. Nezzer: Our baby, Essie-poo.

(Mr. Nezzer nuzzles Esther's stomach affectionately)

Esther: (Giggles) Knew you'd be happy about it but this is something else.

Mr. Nezzer: Not happy, sweetheart...(looks up at Esther) thrilled is the word for it.

(Mr. Nezzer gently kisses Esther's stomach)

Mr. Nezzer: (To Esther's stomach, softly) Looking forward to seeing you in 8 months.

(Mr. Nezzer stands up then kisses Esther)

Mr. Nezzer: Thank you making me a daddy.

(Esther kisses Mr. Nezzer's cheek)

Esther: Thank you for making me a mommy.

(Mr. Nezzer hugs Esther then quickly pulls away)

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) You shouldn't be standing up, sweetheart.

(Mr. Nezzer helps Esther sit down in the chair)

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) Do you need anything else?

Esther: (Sighs) Nebby...

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) Or maybe...

Esther: Nebby.

(Esther stands up then kisses Mr. Nezzer)

Esther: Relax, okay? I'm alright and so's the baby.

(Mr. Nezzer relaxes then invisibly pulls Esther closer)

Mr. Nezzer: No. You're both perfect.

(Esther leans against Mr. Nezzer's shoulder)

Esther: Something tells me it's gonna be fun waiting.

Mr. Nezzer: But it's gonna be worth it.

(Mr. Nezzer kisses Esther)
