Lisa's POV

It's like weekend pass by so quickly; Monday came and we all went to work like the usual, leaving Jennie in the mansion. I've been treating her nicely after the incident and didn't throw any insult, it was surprising on my part. Am I being too soft?

About Jackson, he was still facing charges on court. My attorney said that he will served fair justice and assured that he won't ever bail out of jail; we also discovered his dirty works and used it against him.

The piled up files on top of my table made my head ache, business is good as usual but there are problems too like meeting new investors. I guess I won't be entertaining any of them for the meantime. It was almost lunch and I wanna go home badly to check on Jennie if she's doing fine, I still feel guilty. So I made up my mind, putting my work aside and decided to go home.

"Where you going? Hmmmm?" Chaeng asked as she saw me walking out my office.

"Uhhh home?"

"Why?"

I swallowed the lump on my throat "I…I f-forgot something.."

"Hmmmm Lisa never forget anything but okay, be safe" she smirk at me.

I head in to the elevator pushing the button on the parking level, I check my phone just incase I received a text and I got one. From Jennie.

Jennie: You forgot to get your lunchbox, should I ask the driver here to send it to you?

I started to type a response but I cleared it, I'll just surprised her instead.

Fast forward

The drive home was comfy, it was silent but calming. The maids greeted me as I walk inside, Jennie is nowhere to be found since she didn't know I'll be home at lunch.

My feet lead me in the kitchen, I heard laughters and one of them came from Jennie. I stand there watching them having fun.

"Wendy! Don't play it like that hahahaha"

"It was funny though"

A girl notice my presence so she nudge the other girl, their eyes widen as they saw me.

"M-Miss… you're back early, welcome home"

Jennie turn her head towards me "Lisa!"

She run to me and gave me a right hug.

"You should've text me back if you went home for your lunch, it's a hassle for you"

"It's okay Jennie. I came home to retrieve something, don't worry"

"Did you eat lunch already???"

"Not yet"

"Come join us then. Your timing is perfect, we just finish cooking our lunch"

She drag me on the dining table and made me sit on my chair.

"Wait here, I'll help serving the food"

"Take a sit, let them serve"

"No Lisa. They're my friends, so I should help them"

She left me speechless, how can she consider people as her friends? Don't she feel scared doing it? Remembering one of them bullied her.

The aroma of the food invade my nostrils the moment they put the food on the table, Jennie was wearing her gummy smile as she look at me.

"Lisa" her voice was filled of worry.

"Yes?"

"C-Can they join us? H-Here? It's okay if you don't want, I know you're no-…"

"Yes. Let them join us"

Her eyes was filled with joy as she call them.

"Thank you Lisa"

We all ate, Jennie was very talkative on the table making everyone talk without hesitation even if I'm present. Usually they're scared of me but now it's like the tension is gone— all because Jennie is here. The meal always amazed me because it taste like chef's kiss, almost made to perfection.

The minutes go by, it was time to go back to work so I act like I get something in my room. Jennie left her phone open on the table and I notice the picture, it was a dress. I look around to see if someone is looking as I took a photo of it, I think work can wait.

Jennie bid goodbye and kiss my cheek once again like she do every time we go to work, I waved my hand. Instead of heading to my building I drove off to the mall, I don't know but buying things for her makes my heart flutter. I walk pass every store only to stop to Chanel, I think this brand suits her. The sales clerk assist me making me choose to a variety of dress with different colors and design.

I end up choosing a red one which would perfectly hug her body and ofcourse a dress should be paired with pair of heels to make it perfect. I mean Jennie looks perfect already but what more if she was well dressed. I didn't look at the price anymore as they swipe my black card, they hand me the two paper bags containing the gift.

My phone vibrates on my pocket so I quickly pull it out only to see Jisoo's text asking me where I am, it was already past 1. I text her back that I'm on my way.

I sigh in relief thinking the things I'm doing for this girl. Is it really worth it?
