Chapter 4

A Golden Knight and A Pokémon Trainer

A Plain Field (Outside the Rulid Village)

In the middle of a bright summer day, the sun shone down on the Rulid village. The villagers went about their daily tasks, but some stopped to enjoy the sunny weather and take in the beautiful scenery. The fields swayed in the gentle breeze, causing the colorful flowers and grass to dance along with it.

Two people, accompanied by a small Yellow Mouse Pokemon, strolled through the fields. One person sat in a wheelchair, their body limp and unresponsive as they were pushed by the other. Despite the peaceful surroundings, there was an underlying tension in the air because of this person's condition. Seems Ash and others had PTSD after the grievous fight since then.

Rulid Village was a peaceful haven, surrounded by lush green fields and rolling hills. The villagers were known for their hospitality, always welcoming travelers with open arms. But this village held a deeper significance - it was established by Bercouli, the First Commander of the Integrity Knights, who led his comrades and people to this remote region to escape the grasp of the tyrannical Administrator Quinella. Now, Ash and Alice, who have Kirito in a comatose state sitting in the wheelchair walked through the quiet streets of Rulid Village, aware of the wary glances from the villagers. Ever since they had been labeled as "criminals" for overthrowing Quinella with the help of Kirito's friends, the villagers wanted nothing to do with them.

So Ash Ketchum and Alice had established a humble home miles outside the village, where they could live in peace. Today, the two of them ventured out for a picnic and camping trip. They found themselves in a grassy meadow, perfect for sparring. As Ash and Pikachu surveyed the open field, Alice wheeled Kirito to the shaded spot under a tree so he could watch but still remained unresponsive.

The sun shone down on the grassy meadow plains, making them glisten in the sunlight. Ash and Pikachu sat on a checkered blanket, munching on sandwiches as they admired the scenery. Nearby, Alice carefully positioned Kirito, who was still in a wheelchair, under the shade of a large tree.

She handed him two swords - 《The Night Sky Sword》 and 《Blue Rose Sword》. These were both swords that Kirito and Eugeo used them in previous battles against Quinella; 《The Blue Rose Sword》was damaged after the battle had belonged to Eugeo, Kirito's fallen comrade and best friend. "Please take care of these," she said softly, "and watch us from here, Kirito."

But Kirito remained unresponsive, lost in his comatose state. Alice gave him a sad smile before joining Ash and Pikachu at their picnic spot.

"Still enjoying the view, Ash?" she asked with a smile.

The endless blue sky stretched out above us, unchanging and constant. The sun beat down with its familiar warmth, never faltering in its bright rays. The wind whispered through the air, gently caressing every direction as if it couldn't decide where to go. The clouds danced across the sky, their movements constantly changing the colors and shapes of the ever-present blue canvas. "The sky is like a still painting, yet always in motion," she remarked with awe.

"Yeah!" he exclaimed. "This place reminds me of my home - Pallet Town. It's just as peaceful and beautiful as your hometown Rulid Village."

Alice looked at him curiously. "Your actual home? You never mentioned it before."

Ash chuckled nervously. "Oops, I guess I let that slip out. But yeah, compared to this world, my home is very similar in its peacefulness and abundance."

He couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment and the similarities between his world and Alice's, despite being from different worlds altogether.

Alice's eyes glistened with nostalgia as she reminisced about her childhood home. She had fond memories of playing with her friends and her younger sister Selka. Even she welled up with tears as she remembered her childhood friend, Eugeo, who had died after a battle.

Ash's face fell as he thought of his own childhood friend, Kirito's loss of Eugeo. "If only I could have saved him from the Administrator," Ash said, his voice filled with sadness.

Alice felt guilty for not being able to help either. "No, it's my fault too. I was knocked unconscious during the fight. If I had stayed awake, I could have used Sacred Art to heal him."

"It's not your fault," Ash reassured her. "We all played a part in what happened. We just have to be strong and move on without him." He looked over at Kirito, who was still a little slowly recovering from the trauma of losing another childhood friend.

"But I know Kirito will come back stronger than ever," Ash continued with a smile. "He always does."

Alice smiled and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we'll all be fine."

"Okay then," Ash said, as he put his hand on Alice's Shoulder for encouragement and comfort in a friendly way. "Let's focus on moving forward." he added as she nodded at his words. They decided to move on.

As their conversation came to an end, Ash went to set up a picnic area while Pikachu organized everything neatly on his own. Ash couldn't help but laugh at his loyal partner's determination. "Haha, you did all this by yourself? You never cease to amaze me, buddy."

Pikachu let out a determined "Pika-Pika" as he humbly carried two wooden swords, one in each hand. He carefully dragged them towards Ash, who was having a picnic with his Pokemon partner.

"Pikapi!" Ash exclaimed as he saw Pikachu struggling with the heavy swords. "Thank you for bringing these, but why don't you take a break and have some orange juice?" He handed Pikachu a bottle before taking the swords himself.

Ash walked over to Alice, who was tending to Kirito, her other childhood friend. "I brought two wooden swords for us to spar with," he announced loudly. Alice nodded in understanding, grateful for the distraction from her worries about Kirito's well-being.

"Let's find a good perfect spot for sword training," she suggested. They made their way to an open meadow, where the wind gently rustled through the grass and trees.

Both Ash and Alice gripped their wooden swords tightly, ready for a friendly duel between the former Pokemon Trainer turned prodigy swordsman and the former Integrity Knight known as "Alice Synthesis Thirty." Pikachu watched eagerly from the sidelines, rooting for both of his friends.

Alice explained that there would be five matches in total, with points awarded for successful hits or by surrendering when the victor says "Yield" to the opponent and surrendered. The one with the most points at the end would be declared the winner. Ash eagerly accepted the challenge, flattered by Alice's formal address of him as "The Aura Knight."

With a nod from Alice, they began their first round of sparring. Both were skilled fighters, evenly matched in strength and technique. Those two swordfighters had experience in combat in which Ash was affiliated with Eugeo and Kirito. Alice who is alone learning swordsmanship alone during training years ago.

Alice declared the match open, and both Ash and Alice got into battle stances. As Alice counted down, "On your mark!"

"3," Ash said counting down.

"2"

"1"

Pikachu exclaimed "Pika!" which meant "Fight!" in his language. The air was tense with anticipation as both fighters prepared themselves for an intense yet friendly combat.

They stood on opposite ends of the open field of meadow grassy plains, both holding wooden swords and preparing to charge at each other. Ash's agile form contrasted with Alice's strong stance. They dashed towards each other, their swords clashing loudly as they locked in a fierce duel.

Alice saw an opening and aimed for Ash's weak spot, but he quickly parried her strike and pushed her back. She lunged forward again, but Ash was quick to evade, relying on his speed and agility.

Their swords clashed in a flurry of movements - parries, advances, lunges, deflections. Both had their own advantages - Ash with his agility and speed, and Alice with her strength and concentration.

As they stepped back from each other, the friendly duel reached a stalemate. "I'm impressed by how much you've improved your swordsmanship, Ash Ketchum," Alice said between pants, lowering into a low guard stance.

"Likewise. Your skills are still polished even though you're no longer an Integrity Knight," Ash replied.

"That's true. But don't underestimate me yet!" With that declaration, Alice charged towards him again, their swords clashing once more. But this time, she saw an opportunity to take advantage of - an opening in Ash's defenses.

'I've got him now,' she thought triumphantly as she aimed her sword at his chest. But Ash surprised her with his athletic ability, quickly dodging her strike and using his grip to disarm her completely.

Alice fell to the ground as Ash pointed his sword at her. "You are beaten. Surrender now," he said confidently.

Sighing in defeat, Alice admitted defeat. "You've won round one, Ash. But I will still defeat you in the next round. The friendly duel is not over yet."

"Yeah, I know that," Ash replied with a grin. He was still pumped up from the intense battle and had barely broken a sweat. "You almost caught me off guard there."

Alice smiled at him, determination in her eyes. "Don't celebrate too soon. As I said again, I'll make sure to I'll win in the next round."

Alice would call a break for 10 minutes. As Ash went towards Pikachu as his yellow mouse Pokemon congratulated for him but Ash told his buddy that the fight was not over yet.

Now after the 10-minute break was coming to an end, Ash went back to the open field. "Okay, I needed some stretches before the fight. So do you want to say?"

Alice's wooden sword glinted in the sunlight as she playfully nudged Ash with it. "Ready for another round?" she asked, her blue aqua eyes sparkling mischievously.

Ash grinned and reached for his own sword. As they faced each other, their swords crossed in a victorious stance from their previous spar. "Your move," he said, gesturing for Alice to begin.

Alice dramatically declared, "I, Alice Zuberg, hereby accept your request!" With a smile, she made her first move, charging towards Ash with her sword raised.

Ash, known as the brave trainer from Pallet Town, readied himself in battle stance. "Ash Ketchum is ready when you are!" he announced confidently.

The two fighters exchanged grins before engaging in a fierce sparring match. Pikachu watched from the sidelines, impressed by their skill and determination. If Kirito here, He would have been proud to witness this intense battle between two worthy opponents. Alice charged at Ash with all her might, swinging her sword towards his left shoulder. But Ash was quick to defend himself, deflecting her blade with his own in a stunning display of agility and technique. The fight continued, both competitors evenly matched and determined to emerge victorious.

3 Hours Later...

The sun had slowly descended, casting a warm orange-yellow glow in the sky. The two swordfighters stood facing each other, their score tied at 2-2 after four intense rounds. Ash and Alice had taken a 10-minute break following the second round, which Alice had won, but Ash managed to clinch the third and fourth rounds.

Now they were sparring in the final round, both of them exhausted and giving it their all. Their swords clashed repeatedly in a flurry of wooden and sparks, as they refused to give up or admit defeat. Pikachu watched from the sidelines, cheering for both of them as they engaged in a "Sword Fighting competition."

Ash was determined to end the round quickly so he could finally get close to Alice, but she deftly blocked every move he made. She seemed to predict his tactics before he even executed them. Frustrated, Ash tried to come up with a new plan before she caught him off guard.

'Come on, think Ash! I need a plan.' He thought to himself, frantically searching for a way to outsmart Alice.

But she was just as focused and skilled as he was, making it difficult for him to gain any advantage. Until suddenly, an idea struck him. It was a risky move, but it might just work...

'I have an idea,' he thought to himself, 'but that will be a gamble.'

Ash's eyes were fixed on Alice as they stood in the middle of a grassy field, swords drawn and muscles tense. They had been sparring for what felt like hours, each trying to gain the upper hand.

"You're a worthy opponent, Alice," Ash said with a grin, sweat dripping down his brow. "But I won't hold back."

Alice nodded, her own breathing heavy as she replied, "I wouldn't have it any other way, Ash. Let's give it our all."

They clashed again, their swords ringing out in sharp clanking wood against wood. Ash was quick and agile, his sword dancing around Alice's defenses. But she held her ground, skillfully parrying and countering his attacks.

With a sudden burst of energy, Ash leaped into the air, ready to strike down on Alice from above. She quickly stepped back, but her boot hit a sturdy stone behind her, causing her to lose balance and fall to the ground. A little bad luck for Alice Zuberg.

As Alice dropped her sword and tried to recover from the unexpected stumble, Ash saw an opening and prepared to deliver the final blow. But just as he jumped towards her with both hands on his sword, he realized he had miscalculated his jump and was now falling too far away from Alice.

In an attempt to save himself from a dangerous fall, Ash twisted in mid-air and landed hard on the ground with a thud. As dust and dirt flew up around him, he looked over at Alice who was also lying on the ground, clearly surprised by what had just happened.

With a loud "Pika!", Pikachu bolted towards Ash and Alice, both of whom were struggling on the ground after being blindsided by an explosion. As the dust settled, Pikachu hopefully they were both didn't injured.

"Uhh...Are you okay Alice?" Ash asked, concern etched on his face as he tried to get up from on top of her. "Yeah, what was that? That was kind of a bad fall," Alice responded through gritted teeth, wincing in pain.

"I'm so sorry, I'll get off of you now," Ash stuttered as he attempted to stand, only to accidentally kabedon Alice against the ground. She opened her eyes and looked up at him, her cheeks flushing as their faces were mere inches apart. Ash mirrored her expression with an awkward "Uhh..." before they both couldn't look away from each other's eyes. Suddenly, Alice lifted her hands and cupped Ash's face, pulling him closer for a kiss on the lips. Ash's face turned bright red with a mix of shock and embarrassment.

"Hehe, looks like I lost huh? You clearly won the fight," Alice giggled as she released him and sat up, still chuckling at their unexpected moment together.

Ash shook from that emotion and said to her. "Uhhh...yeah. Seems I won. Hehe" As he quickly stood up and gave Alice a helping hand as she grabbed Ash's hands and he lifted her up. This made Ash to sheepishly scratch his hair and felt still blushing.

Alice let out a contented sigh, a smile lighting up her face as she spoke. "That was an incredible fight. I would love to spar with you again in the future," she humbly stated.

Ash's response was lighthearted but determined. "I won't go easy on you in our tournament match."

The two shared a laughter-filled moment until Pikachu interrupted them, voicing its concern with a worried "Pika Pikapi."

"Don't worry, Pikachu. We're both okay," Ash reassured his beloved Pokemon.

But just as he finished speaking, an unexpected sound erupted from within somebody else's stomach - a deep grumbling that couldn't be ignored.

"What was that rumbling?" Ash asked, turning to Pikachu and Alice for answers.

Alice couldn't help but laugh as she replied. "That was my stomach, rumbling to remind me that I was hungry. Are you feeling hungry too, Ash?"

As if on cue, another rumble echoed through the air - this time from Ash's own stomach.

"I guess I am pretty hungry too," Ash admitted with a sheepish grin. "Why don't we head over to the picnic spot that Pikachu set up earlier?"

Alice nodded eagerly and they made their way back to the picnic area, followed by Pikachu who was more than happy to join them for some food.

As the sun dipped below the horizon and the night sky began to take over, Alice, Ash, Pikachu, and Kirito made their way through the deep forest towards a secluded spot where they could relax away from the dangers of monsters and goblins. The forest was alive with the sound of rustling leaves and chirping crickets, but they pressed on until they reached a small clearing near a river.

Alice carefully wheeled Kirito's wheelchair onto solid ground safely as Ash set up a mini-camp at a safe distance from the river. Once everything was settled, Alice helped Kirito into the tent and arranged him on a comfortable sleeping bed. Meanwhile, Pikachu eagerly scampered inside the tent and curled up next to Kirito.

Now that everything was taken care of, Alice lay down on Ash's lap as they gazed up at the starry sky above them. They talked about their lives and experiences, and eventually the topic turned to astronomy.

"Ever since I was a young girl, I've been fascinated by the thousands of stars that twinkle in our sky," Alice said dreamily. "To me, they represent hope and light in a world of darkness and chaos. There is also a white-round shape what is this called a Moon. Is that Moon actualy a-" but she was cut off.

"A planet, right?" Ash asked. "I learned about astronomy when I was in elementary school. My teacher told me that our planet was created by Arceus, but some believe it was created by the Creation Trio - Palkia, Giratina, and Dialga. They even created the universe and space."

Alice listened intently as Ash shared his knowledge with her. "In my world, I've read books and conducted research on creation myths and historical events," he continued.

"I have also studied extensively as an Integrity Knight," Alice added. "During my time at the Central Cathedral. I went into the library, I came across scrolls that spoke of Stacia, Solus, and Terraria creating our world."

"But there were two other gods mentioned - Vecta, ruler of the dark territory, and Lunaria, goddess of the moon," Alice added. It was clear to Ash that Alice was well-versed in her studies and had a deep understanding of the world's origins.

As Ash and Alice gazed up at the sky, contemplating the existence of the supposed "gods," Alice replied hesitantly, "I'm not sure...I didn't know for certain." Her response to his inquiry was uncertain, leaving him to wonder about the reality of these powerful beings.

Lost in thought, Ash pondered what Kikuoka Seijirou had told him about these "gods" being super accounts, just mere humans logging in with their virtual identities. It was a strange concept to wrap his head around - if they were just humans, could they truly be considered gods? As he mulled over these thoughts, He made a mental note to discuss this with Alice later, but for now, he pushed aside his musings and focused on her.

As she called out to him and he snapped back to reality, Ash couldn't help but notice the way Alice's face glowed in the moonlight. Before he could respond, she leaned in and kissed his forehead, making his heart flutter.

"It's getting late, I should probably go to sleep," Ash announced, smiling at Alice before turning to walk towards their tent. But before he could enter inside, Alice Zuberg reached out and grabbed the hem of his shirt.

"Is there something wrong?" Ash asked, turning back to face her.

Alice hesitated for a moment before finally speaking up. "Should I...sleep with you tonight? I don't want to be alone...I needed someone to find comfort to sleep with me..."

Without hesitation, Ash replied, "Of course. I don't mind if you want to." Alice was pleased with his answer. And with that, they both crawled into their tent along with Pikachu and Kirito, finding solace and peace in each other's presence as they drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

The End.
