Jennie's POV

It was starting to get dark outside, indicating it'll be evening soon and the three would arrive. Dinner isn't a problem anymore because the food is already cooked and just need to be reheat. I was waiting outside, the air was a little cold but I didn't want to go grab some sweater so I hug myself for the meantime. Then my eyes caught a car approaching and my smile grew wider, it came to a halt.

Jisoo unnie went out first as she opened the car door for her wife which is Chaeng unnie, then on the drivers side was Lisa who immediately notice my presence.

"Jennie you could've wait inside, it's cold here" Chaeng said as I kiss her cheek.

"It's okay unnie, I can't wait to see you all"

"How's your day Mandu? Good?" Jisoo unnie also received a kiss from me.

"Yes unnie. It's very good"

My eyes fall into Lisa which is looking intently at me, I went to her and kiss her on the side of her lips that made her caught in surprise.

"How's work?"

"Fine as usual"

"We should head back inside, the wind is getting colder you might get sick Mandu"

"Okay unnie"

We all went in but Lisa was left behind and I wondered why, she was talking to one of her guards more likely telling something important. I saw how he nods at her. We're at the dining table waiting for Lisa when suddenly Chaeng started to speak.

"Mandu, since you're staying with us don't you want to study? You're supposed in college right?"

My eyes widen "Sorry unnie but I'm afraid I can't do that, besides I'm not that smart. I barely survive my studies back then"

"Are you still worried they'll find you? Whoever they're?"

"Yes unnie. Specially my stepfather, he might give me back again"

We were interrupted when Lisa came and sit, she looks calm and composed based on her expression.

"Finally we can eat. What took you long?"

"I did something important"

"Important than eating dinner first?"

"Yeah. Something like that"

I don't know if it's just me but she look in my way after saying those things, I'm getting delusional. Chaeng was the first one to dig in which made Jisoo give side comments like you eat like a pig and you eat like you're starved for a month.

They bicker infront of the dining table earning a giggle from me since they look cute while arguing, Lisa on other hand was busy eating her food in silence.

Fast forward

We all went to bed after catching some few talks in the living room, it was a tiring day for them so they needed a good amount of sleep. I slip in through the sheets and grab the book I've been reading; I got it from their own library which made me feel amazed on how many books they got.

Not long after I heard soft knocks on my door so I put the book down and went to open the door only to be met by brown doe eyes.

"L-Lisa…"

"Hey, I know it's late but I wanna give you something"

That's the time I notice the two paper bags she's holding.

"Its not my birthday"

"I don't even know your birthday, can I come in?"

I finally realized how rude I was for not inviting her inside.

"Uh y-yeah sure!"

She walk pass me as I close the door, I went to face her and she hand me the paper bags.

"Open it"

I notice the brand name and gasped "L-Lisa this is expensive isn't it? I can't take it"

I hand the bags on her.

"I bought it for you, I'm sorry for peeping on your phone. I saw the dress"

My eyes started to get watery because when my mother died I never received any gift everytime my birthday comes.

"Hey don't cry, open it for me please. You should try it on" she wipe my tears using her thumb.

"Oh my god Lisa this is too much"

She get the bags from me and started opening them, it was a red dress and a pair of heels. She motioned me to try it on so I went on the bathroom and wear it. I can't believe that I'll receive such glamorous gift from Lisa.

The moment I went out her mouth went agape as she saw me in this dress.

"It suits you well. I'm speechless"

I hide my face on my hands mumbling "Thank you"

She made me sit on the edge of the bed and kneeled infront of me as she put on the heels.

"Perfect"

I blush on her compliment, she offered her hand as she pull me gently leading me infront of the mirror. It feels like I'm looking at a different person. Something like a girl who's been perfect her whole life, I look at Lisa through the mirror who's busy admiring me. I face her and squeeze her through a tight hug.

My tears started to fall "Thank you so much Lisa. It's the best give ever"

I broke the hug and our eyes met, there I feel the friction I got when our faces were just inches apart from each other in the kitchen. I was leaning closer but she cut me off.

"I think it's already late. Let's go to sleep"

"Uh y-yeah. I think so too"

It became awkward as we both look everywhere but not to each other. She decided to head to the door, she stood there for a couple of minutes and I wondered why. Then she rush back at me and gave a gentle kiss on the side of my lips before saying.

"Goodnight Jennie. Sweetdreams"

I was stunned by her action that I didn't even notice she already left the room, I touch where she kissed me and I felt a tingling sensation in my stomach. What was that?
