In attempting to help Star feel more at home in the town they went through another trip throughout the area.

Naruto sat with Star in the park, watching the people pass by. Star was fidgeting with her wand, nervously tapping it against her leg. Naruto noticed her unease and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"You seem a bit anxious, Star. Is everything okay?"

Star shrugged. "I don't know. This world is just so different from Mewni. I don't understand it." The recent trip to some of the other dimensions reminded Star just how different things were then her home realm.

Naruto nodded understandingly. "I get it. When I first came to this world, I was confused too. But you'll get the hang of it. And I'm here to help you."

Star smiled at him gratefully. "Thanks, Naruto. I appreciate it."

Just then, a group of teenagers walked by. One of them, a boy with messy brown hair, caught Star's eye. She stared at him, entranced, as he passed. He seemed around about their age and wasn't as standoffish as some of the passerbyers.

Naruto noticed her fascination and grinned mischievously. "Hey, Star. Do you want to go talk to that guy?" He knew that she was a very extroverted person and just enjoyed vibing with people.

Star's eyes widened. "What? No! I can't just go up to him and start talking!"

Naruto chuckled. "Why not? It's not like he's going to bite you. And who knows, you might make a new friend."

Star hesitated, then nodded slowly. "Okay. I'll try."

Naruto jumped up, pulling Star to her feet. "That's the spirit! Come on, let's go introduce ourselves."

As they walked over to the group, Naruto called out a friendly greeting. The brown-haired boy with glasses, whose name was Alfonzo, turned around and smiled at them.

"Hey there! What's up?" he said.

Naruto introduced himself and Star, and Alfonzo introduced his friend Ferguson.

Star was shy at first, but Naruto's infectious energy soon had her laughing and chatting with the group. They talked about their favorite TV shows, their hobbies, and their families.

After a while, Naruto suggested they all go get some ice cream together. Everyone agreed, and they headed to the nearest ice cream parlor.

As they sat outside, enjoying their ice cream, Star realized that she was having fun. She had never hung out with people her own age before, and she was surprised at how easy it was to talk to them.

Naruto noticed the smile on her face and nudged her. "See? I told you it wasn't so bad."

Star grinned at him. "Thanks, Naruto. You were right. This was really fun."

Naruto beamed back at her. "Anytime, Star. Anytime."

So far, day by day seems to be going well. Now that Star was becoming comfortable it was time to take that next step.

As Naruto and Star walked through the halls of Echo Creek Academy, Naruto couldn't help but notice Star's excitement at being in a new place. "This school is so cool!" she exclaimed, her eyes darting around to take in all the sights.

Naruto grinned. "Glad you like it. But we're not here just to sightsee. We're here to meet someone."

"Who?" Star asked, looking around for any signs of their mystery person.

"His name is Marco Diaz. He's a student here, and he's a friend of mine. He's one of the only people who is in on the known that I'm not a normal person."

"Ooh, okay!" Star said, bouncing on the balls of her feet. As they traveled around the school, he began telling her stories about the boy.

Naruto scanned the crowd, looking for any sign of Marco. Just then, he spotted a familiar face. "There he is!" he said, pointing to a tall, skinny boy with spiky black hair and light brown skin. "Hey, Marco!"

Marco turned around at the sound of his name, and his face lit up when he saw Naruto. "Hey, man! It's good to see you!"

Naruto walked up to him, and the two exchanged a quick handshake. "Marco, this is Star Butterfly. She's a friend of mine from another dimension. She's new to Earth, and I thought it might be good for her to meet someone she doesn't have to always conceal her identity around."

Marco's eyes widened at the mention of another dimension, but he quickly composed himself. "Uh, hi, Star. Nice to meet you."

Star smiled at him, extending her hand for a shake. "Nice to meet you too, Marco! Naruto's told me so much about you. He mentioned something about you being a safety kid."

Marco looked at Naruto, a dead pan expression on his face. "I hate you."

Naruto grinned. "Come on man, you only have yourself to blame for earning that nickname." How anyone could end up walking over a man-hole cover it with enough congealed pressure to be shot several hundred feet in the air he'll never know.

Still, his over-the-top behavior of being overly needlessly safe for the years afterwards was bound to earn him the notice and criticism of their peers.

"Anyway, I thought it might be good for you guys to hang out and show her around. There's still a lot of the school she hasn't seen."

Marco nodded, a smile creeping onto his face. "Sure, that sounds great! I'd be happy to show you around."

And with that, the trio set off down the hall, with Naruto and Marco taking turns pointing out different parts of the school and telling Star all about life on Earth.

Once school was over the trio split up meaning that Naruto and Star continued exploring Echo Creek. As they walked down the street, they spotted a girl wearing a black hoodie with a skull on it. Naruto noticed that Star was staring at the girl with curiosity. She glanced back to Naruto who let out a small sigh.

"Who's that?" Star asked.

"That's Janna," Naruto answered, "She's a bit of a troublemaker, but she's fun to hang out with."

As they approached her, Janna noticed Star and Naruto and smirked. "Hey, there Sunshine," she greeted the blond who responded with 'Don't call me that.' To which she completely ignored. "Who's the new girl?"

"This is Star Butterfly. She's a transfer student and I'm playing her host. "

"Hey, I'm Janna," she said, extending her hand for a handshake.

Star took her hand and shook it feverishly. "Nice to meet you, Janna."

"So, what brings you guys out here?" Janna asked.

"We're just exploring," Star she answered, " Naruto's showing me everything."

"Oh my, working quite fast." She remarked slyly as Naruto shot her look. The comment going over the more innocent Star's head. "Well, you're in luck," Janna said. "I know all the best places to go."

As they walked, Janna led them through some alleys and side streets, showing them some of the hidden gems of Echo Creek. Naruto was impressed with Janna's knowledge of the area and her ability to find interesting places to go. Then again when one was always up to something they would need knowledge of the area.

After much consideration Naruto asked Star if she wanted Janna in on the know. After much consideration it would help Star if she had a female friend around her age, she could be open and comfortable with during her stay here.

Star of course jumped at the chance to make a potential new friend she could be freely with.

As they walked, Janna started teasing Star about her magical abilities. "So, what's it like being a magical princess?" Janna asked. "Do you get to fly around on unicorns and shoot rainbows out of your hands?"

"Actually, it's not like that at all," Star said, a bit defensively. "Magic can be really complicated and dangerous."

"I was just kidding, Star," Janna said, putting her arm around her. "You know I think you're awesome."

Naruto noticed the camaraderie between the two girls and was glad that Star had made another friend in Echo Creek.

Both were going to be necessary. There were more to these meetings than he was telling Star. In all honesty ever since that weird Owl creature showed up and then the incident with Ponyhead he was worried.

Being royalty and holder of powerful magic Star was going to be a target of potential enemies. Initially he figured he would be enough, but that arrogant train of thought was knocked out of his head when he realized that different realms could have an adverse effect on him, and he alone might not be enough to protect Star. Especially since his knowledge of the potential of magic was limited to what was experienced on this planet.

Either if neither knew it, both Marco and Janna were not exactly normal humans. Marco had something in his bloodline that made him stronger and more durable than normal people. It was his lack of aggressive nature and confidence that kept him from tapping into his true potential. No regular person could become as strong as he was as a fighter under the tutelage of a sham teacher. There was something in his genetic makeup that was something more than human, something darker.

Then there was Janna whose life force energy was highly vibrant. It was hard for him to understand because it didn't feel like nature or pure life force so with meeting Star he began to wonder if Janna had potential for magic? He would need to see if Star maybe knew resources, he could access to learn different forms of magic.

Well either way there was no rush immediately. Letting Star have a few more days to grow comfortable while he kept a careful eye out wouldn't hurt.

"Quick, here she comes!" Alfonzo gasped to Ferguson as a tall brunette girl walk by and the chubby boy quickly pull his shirt up to expose his stomach with drawing face, causing the girl to look disgusted.

"Hey, hey." Ferguson juggled his gut to make it look like his drawn face was talking, "Are those books? Where are you going with those books? Do you like to read…" The girl swiftly slaps Ferguson then slap his stomach before she stomp away with a disgusting huff.

"Oh, dear." The skinny teenager looked at his friend worriedly.

"Wow, they seemed much saner when Star and I met them at the park." Naruto sweat dropped.

"…They're usually cooler." Marco muttered quietly. There was a reason he was hesitant to introduce the blond to his 'normal' friends.

Yeah, normal was stressing it he realized.

"I need to fix Ferguson up." Star raises her wand up, only to have it push down by the Latino teenager. "No." He muttered; he doesn't want anything to happen to his friends even if it's done with good intention. He still doesn't trust this magical wand thingy! Especially when Naruto told her she was far from mastering the thing.

The princess was about to say something but the trio hear rolling wheels as it get closer and they glance left to see a blonde skater with teal streak perform a kickflip on her skateboard. "Jackie Lynn Thomas…" Marco gasped with love-struck glint.

"Hey, Star Butterfly!" Jackie greeted the blonde girl as she skated by them.

"Hi, Jackie!" Star waved animatedly.

"You know, I don't think you would have ever needed my help. You're so vibrant you draw people to you naturally."

"What can I say?" The princess shrugged smugly, "Everyone likes me."

"Well, I can't blame them." He chuckled, "You are incredibly likable, but don't get too big of a head missy. You'll start having trouble fitting your shirts."

Star's cheeks burned pink, and she playfully stuck her tongue out him.

"Right, Marco?" Naruto waited for his friend to say something but there was no respond, "…Marco?" Both blonde turns to see Marco staring dreamily at empty space ahead of them.

"OH!" Star recognized that look, "I need to fix you up!"

"W-What?!" Marco spun around on his heels with a rapid blink.

"Oh, come on." She pulled her wand out with closed eyes and wide grin, "I'm almost as good at matchmaking as I am with magic." As soon as she finished her sentence, her wand accidentally blasts a wide pink beam in Marco's face and it dissolve to reveal his burnt face, frizzy hair with bald spot and one strand of hair on fire.

"…I-I'm good…" The Latino teenager coughed some smokes out with few twitches.

Naruto face palmed. "Star…"

She adorned a sheepish look. "Right. I'll be good."

Well, it was time to bust out the Iijutsu before Marco was scarred permanently.
