Epilogue
"You enjoy yourself and your first year at Hogwarts," Hermione told her oldest son who she and Aaron had named Daniel after her father.
"I will," Daniel said giving his mother hug.
She and Aaron had had five kids and Hermione claimed that was going to be the last for this generation. Aaron had been happy with just one, but when the second one had come along he had been even happier. Hermione was now in her late 40s though she didn't look it.
Aaron had finally told the Weasleys all except for Percy and Ron his secret after he had known them for a couple years.
They had been amazed of course, there was such a thing as immortality. That it was real, but once they had realized the implications in those untrustworthy found out they had agreed to keep Aaron's secret and by extension Hermione's.
They were still welcome over there any time and they often went over there for lunch or dinner usually dinner though.
"I love you dad. I'll make sure I send you plenty of owls," Daniel said giving his father a hug.
"I'll miss you son," Aaron said. "You be careful because you know you're different from the other students. Try not to get into any mischief. We cannot allow anybody that's not completely trustworthy to learn about our immortality. If they did your mother might have to do things she wouldn't like to do."
"Say nothing near any portraits," Hermione told Daniel. "Also, be very careful, because there could be a house-elf listening in, even if they're invisible."
"Surely a house-elf wouldn't do that," Daniel protested.
"They would, but they won't report it to anyone unless specifically questioned, but that doesn't mean you don't need to be careful. The teachers might not think to question the house-elves since a lot of magicals think of them as lesser beings and stupid, but that doesn't mean it can't happen," Hermione warned.
"I will," Daniel said taking his parents warning seriously. Daniel and his siblings had been raised on the need for secrecy all their lives.
"You can contact us at any time," Aaron said giving his son another hug. He was going to miss his oldest son a lot, but this was all part of growing up. He had never imagined having a family to lavish with affection and then he had met Hermione Granger. The children had then come along at roughly two year intervals.
Daniel was a handsome lad with his father's black hair and the brown eyes of both parents.
"You better head to the Potters now Harry and Daphne are getting you to King's Cross Station," Hermione said. "Do you have all your books and other supplies?"
"I do," Daniel answered soberly
"I'm surprised your trunk doesn't weigh a ton considering how many books you packed into it," Aaron smirked thinking that their oldest son was just like his mother.
"Feather-light Charm," Hermione and Daniel said together.
"A Feather-Light Charm makes something heavy much lighter than it would be otherwise," Hermione told Aaron who was smiling at the byplay.
Aaron certainly knew what a Feather-light Charm was and also a Undetectable Extension Charm, meant whatever that charm was on trunk or a bookbag, never gained an ounce of weight no matter how much you packed into it.
"And an Undetectable Extension Charm means you can add as many books or other supplies as you want to your trunk or another container and there's always room and it doesn't gain any weight at all," Daniel added.
Aaron simply shook his head and allowed Hermione to activate the Floo that all three of them were standing in front of.
"You be good and call us if you need us," Hermione said using her wand to lift Daniel's trunk into the now green fire and also, his new owl that she and Aaron and bought him so he could write them often and not have to use a school owl.
"You have your communication mirror right," Hermione asked Daniel and the boy nodded.
Hermione had created a communications mirror much like a telephone except for the Wizarding World. Unlike the two-way mirror, this mirror could communicate with anyone that also, even had a charm similar to an answering machine where you could leave a short message. It would also give a series of beeps when the other mirror was in use kind of like a busy signal.
Unlike an owl the communications mirror was instantaneous while an owl would take a certain length of time to get it where it needed to go. Also, an owl could be intercepted like Dolores Umbridge had done to Hedwig when Harry has been going to Hogwarts.
Hermione had marketed them and they had been an instant hit. Even the pure-bloods raved about them and not just ones like Neville or the Weasleys. Hermione had gotten a very lucrative contract from one of the biggest companies that did magical gadgets in the Wizarding World. The contract had had a spell on it that would not allow anyone to copy her invention without her express permission.
The company was also not allowed to use her spell nor modify it in anyway.
Hermione was now quite wealthy in her own right and she was always looking for good investments since she knew that she would basically live forever now.
"I do," Daniel said.
"OK, then you have a good time at school and let us know what house you were sorted into," Hermione told her son.
"I will," Daniel promised as he stepped in to the green flames and shouted "Potter Manor."
Finally, she turned away from the now normal flames and Aaron encased her in his arms. Aaron knew that Hermione was a little sad that one of her babies was growing up so fast. It wouldn't be long before their second child a daughter, that had been named Emma was going to Hogwarts and the time he was sure would fly.
Hermione stayed in the comfort of Aaron's embrace for a few minutes before finally looking up.
"I'm OK, just a little sad that my baby is growing up so fast on me," Hermione said.
"I already knew," Aaron said gently as he kissed the top of Hermione's head. "So what house do you think Danny is going to be in?"
"I would say either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw," Hermione answered knowing Aaron was doing his best to try to distract her. "If he goes into either of the other two houses I'll be very surprised. He has the bravery, loyalty and courageousness of Gryffindor and the intelligence, wit and wisdom of Ravenclaw."
"We'll see I suppose," Aaron said. "He does like to read much like you do and you've always said that you should've been in Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor, so I won't be surprised if that's where oldest son ends up."
"Yes, we'll see," Hermione agreed she kissed Aaron on the cheek. She loved Aaron deeply and could never imagine being parted from him, especially on a permanent basis. Aaron had accepted that she was a witch with amazing fortitude and calmness, just as she had accepted his immortality. "We should hear by tonight what house he was sorted into. Normally, I would have said tomorrow when the owl got here, but with the communications mirror he can tell us instantly as soon as he gets to his dorm."
"I'm surprised nobody else thought to create such a device and make a fortune like you did," Aaron said.
"Some people might have thought of it, but couldn't figure out the complicated charm work that goes into them. If anybody had figured out how to do what I did it likely would've been a Muggle-born that knew a lot about the Muggle World, because I based those mirror off of a telephone. Even today most pure-bloods don't know a thing about Muggle devices and even if they do they have no idea how they work."
"You're absolutely brilliant, you know that love?" Aaron told her even as he hugged and kissed her. "I was so lucky that day when I ran into you and I'll be thankful forever that I did. You have brought me so much happiness and given me the family I have always wished for."
"I can say the same," Hermione said, even as she returned Aaron's affection. "Now that Daniel is off to Hogwarts and the other kids are staying with friends what do you want to do until they get home?"
"I can think of one thing," Aaron told her, even as he leered at her playfully.
"That's all you ever think about though," Hermione told him with a grin. "Sex is always on your mind."
"What can I say, you are the most gorgeous and sexy woman I have ever known I can't help wanting to make love to you 24 hours a day," Aaron told her quite seriously.
"Don't exaggerate," Hermione told him blushing "I am hardly gorgeous."
"And I say, that is in the eye of the beholder and you'll always be the most gorgeous woman in the world to me," Aaron told her. "We've had this conversation before, many times and I know we'll probably have it again, but you don't see yourself the way I do."
Hermione said nothing knowing that Aaron would never agree with her so there was no point of arguing. Aaron simply picked her up and headed to the bedroom to make love to her for the rest of the day until their hunger awakened and it was time for dinner.
Aaron sat Hermione on the bed and quickly stripped himself of his clothes watching as his gorgeous mate did the same.
"You will always be the most beautiful woman I have ever known," Aaron told her sincerely, as he sat down on the opposite side of the bed and was quickly on top of her. "I can guess why you don't think of yourself as gorgeous but those words said to you as a child were from people who were simply jealous of you. Your beauty comes from within your very soul and I wish you would stop thinking of yourself as the ugly duckling from that children's story."
Hermione said nothing, as Aaron made her body sing until she was nothing but a puddle of goo from where Aaron had made her climax several times.
"I think we should take a trip along with the other kids to get over Daniel leaving for Hogwarts. I think we need something to distract us for a few days so that we don't miss our son and the others don't miss there siblings so much," Aaron suggested.
"That sounds good," Hermione agreed. "I'm sure that Harry won't mind if we use his beach house in Florida for a few days."
"That's not a bad idea, but why don't we go somewhere we've never had a chance to before? Somewhere like Australia or even the United States," Aaron suggested. "We've never been to Disney World that we should probably save that for summer when Danny gets home or he won't be very happy with us."
"That's true," Hermione smiled. "Still, somewhere like France or Denmark would be good. We'll have to ask the kids when they get home in a few hours where they want to go most for a week or two. It will be a learning experience for them."
"You're always teaching your kids something aren't you," Aaron said shaking his head smiling in amusement "You should just let them be kids and not worry about teaching them something or them learning anything."
"You know I was always learning new things," Hermione told Aaron. "That I was never really a child other than being young."
"I know, but while our kids are a lot like you they deserve just to be kids. If they want to learn it's one thing."
"Oh don't worry they won't even realize they're learning along the way," Hermione grinned mischievously. "I've learned some things ever since Hogwarts and they'll never realize they're learning as you're having fun."
Aaron just shook his head smiling and started making love to his gorgeous mate again. He had been very lucky that day he had met Hermione Jean Granger and he would treasure her has the precious gift she was.
