Christmas morning came a couple of weeks later, and it was going to be a bit of a quieter day this year. A lot of the people who were usually there weren't this year.

There was a knock on her bedroom door.

"Yeah?" Skye said groggily as she woke up.

Morgan went in and climbed on the bed. "Merry Christmas!"

Skye smiled and picked up her phone, looking at the time. She chuckled. "It's only four-thirty. You should go back to bed."

Morgan snuggled under the blanket with her.

Skye smiled and just turned over and went back to sleep.

At seven-thirty Morgan woke up again and shook Skye.

"Can we get up now?" Morgan asked.

Skye looked at her phone again and smiled. "Merry Christmas."

There was a knock on her door.

"Yes?" Skye said.

Pepper opened the door and smiled. "I thought she might have ended up in here."

"Yup, at four-thirty," Skye said with a chuckle.

Pepper chuckled. "Come on, sweet pea, let's let Skye get up on her own."

Morgan climbed out of the bed and went with her mom. Pepper closed the door behind them.

Skye texted Tucker, "Merry Christmas."

Tucker texted back, "Merry Christmas. I will see you later."

Part of Tucker's probation was volunteering in the community, and he had taken a shift at a soup kitchen that morning. He was going to come over late that afternoon to join them for the meal. Skye sent Merry Christmas texts to all her friends before she got up. She went into the living room and sat down next to Wanda.

"Merry Christmas," Skye said.

"Merry Christmas, Malyutka," Wanda said.

After opening gifts, Skye put her new Taylor Swift Christmas album on the record player.

Bucky looked at Steve. "I think you did good."

Steve smiled and looked at his new sketchbook and charcoal pencils. "Did you help her pick these out?"

"No, she figured it out on her own. She told me about the conversation you two had and how she got the idea," Bucky said. "I just took her and told her I thought it was a good idea."

Steve nodded. "I think she did well for you, too."

"She did," Bucky said, looking at the collector's edition of the Hobbit. "I know this couldn't have been cheap either."

"Don't worry about it," Steve said, smiling at him.

Bucky smiled and shook his head.

Skye and Morgan were dancing around the living room to the Christmas music. Morgan went over to Peter and tried to pull him up from where he was sitting on the couch to make him dance with them.

"Please," Morgan begged Peter.

Peter smiled conceding to the little girl's request. He got up and started to dance as well. Skye looked over at Yelena and Wanda and smirked.

"Not happening," Wanda said.

Yelena shook her head. "I agree."

"Boo," Skye said, pouting at them a little.

"That will not work," Yelena said.

"On me either," Wanda said.

Morgan went over and grabbed them both by the hand and tried to pull them up.

"Squirt, they said no. Leave them alone," Tony said.

"But I want them to dance," Morgan whined.

"Leave them alone," Tony said again.

Morgan let their hands go and went back to dancing with Peter and Skye.

Pepper called them shortly after for breakfast, and they all went and sat in the dining room and ate their meal.

After breakfast, Skye and Yelena cleared up, filled the dishwasher, and started it.

Soon everyone was in the living room to watch Christmas movies and hang out together. Tucker showed up in the afternoon.

"Merry Christmas," he said to everyone.

Everyone returned the greeting. Skye got up and hugged him before leading him to sit with her on one of the couches.

"How was your morning?" Skye asked him.

"It was okay, got into a deep conversation with a veteran," Tucker said.

"Good conversation?" Skye asked.

Tucker smiled and nodded. "Your morning was good?"

"It was great," Skye said smiling.

The rest of Christmas Day was a lot of fun. Ending with a big meal that they all enjoyed.
