Maddie swore to herself it would never happen again, so how does she find herself tangled up in her partner's arms every morning? Set during THAT month together in between S3 and S4.

16 months after A Lunar State Of Mind. Maddie and David are living in NYC. Maddie has a presentation she's prepared for her boss, but something is missing. David can't help but be suspicious of a mysterious character he sees leaving her office. Things aren't what they seem as David, no longer a detective, follows the mystery man around the city in order to find out what he's up to.

This story connects the dots between scenes in the episode, "Witness For The Execution". Did you ever wonder? Where did David go while he was a fugitive on the run? What made Maddie think of Mr. Everett's slippers? Did David ever see the ad Maddie placed in the personals?

From the episode, "The Lady In The Iron Mask" - This is a fill-in-the-gap story that takes place after Maddie calls Barbara Wiley to tell her that she and David found Frank Harbert and before they see the televised news report that Frank Harbert has been murdered.

Feeling stuck in a rut, Maddie makes a decision that takes her out of LA for an extended period of time. While David's life moves on without her, she questions if there are some things she could ever truly leave behind. Set post-series.

This is a fill-in-the-gap vignette set during EDFIAV. What does David do after he catches Alexander Hayes in the act of cheating, but before he goes back to the office to give Maddie the bad news at 9:20 at night?

This is a fill-in-the-gap vignette set during the Moonlighting Season 1 episode, Read The Mind... See The Movie. This short story takes place after Maddie and David meet with Vivian Baker to tell her they have solved the case, and before David calls Maddie because he realizes they never figured out who sabotaged the laser gun.

A new client comes to Blue Moon, asking that Maddie and David find both his missing grandmother and a box of old prize-winning recipes. The investigation takes them to Memphis, where they find themselves on the muddy waters of the Mississippi River. With a ten-thousand-dollar check on the line, will Maddie and David be able to navigate the ups and downs of this case?

So I firmly believe the writers could have preserved the sexual tension and tell a much better story WITHOUT WALTER BISHOP and if THE BABY LIVED. I'm going episode by episode starting from Tracks of my Tears. Some installments will be longer than others but I'm trying to keep the shell of each episode intact.

This story picks up when Maddie leaves David standing in the laundromat in "A Trip To The Moon". What were they thinking and feeling that night? Is it possible they had one more very important conversation before Maddie decided to leave?

This story takes place after the events of "It's A Wonderful Job" and my story, "Jolly Ol' Saint Dave". Essentially David and Maddie shared a couple of kisses and then each went their own way for winter hiatus. Maddie is in Chicago. David is in Philadelphia. This story brings them together, but do things go well? Probably not if you consider the beginning of "The Straight Poop".

Inspired by the scene in "I Am Curious… Maddie" when David tells Maddie he loves her. We, the viewer, don't hear him because they played music over it, but we can very clearly see when he says it. These are their thoughts during that scene and throughout the night.

Christmas Eve 1989 is not going how Maddie planned. Will an impromptu run-in with David turn her holiday bright?

This is a Christmas story that begins where the Moonlighting episode "It's A Wonderful Job" ends. In other words, it begins with Maddie and David kissing on a desk in the front office.
