It has been a couple of weeks since the father and son duo left the Sand. Naruto was a little upset about having to leave so soon but he was reassured when he was told that he'd visit his friends again.

He grew attached to them and to the village to some extent. It was the first one he ever stepped foot in and he was not disappointed. But something greatly troubled him. The thought of having to face shinobi like Sasori, greatly troubled him.

There was similar thoughts going through the head of his father. For one, Sasori was said to have abandoned the village but why would he be in the village if that was the case? He didn't inform Naruto of this because he wanted the boy to not worry and enjoy his stay.

He let the Kazekage know and he said he'd look into it. Losing himself in his thoughts, he almost missed his son asking him a question. Turning to the boy he answered. "I suppose we can continue your training as we head to our next destination. You have come along well in your fire manipulation, so lighting is next.

I won't advance in your training in wind manipulation yet because it's the most difficult to control"he said. Naruto nodded as they continued to walk until Naruto asked another question. "Who is this other person you want me to meet?" Jiraiya grinned.

"My teammate! I know you know who she is considering you read almost everything in sight." Naruto just shrugged. "So what's she like?"he asked. Without hesitation Jiraiya answered. "She's stubborn, brash and has a temper. She also has a bad gambling addiction with even worse luck." He chuckled.

"But she's also the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on aside from your mother. She is strong and cares greatly for her family." Naruto narrowed his eyes at his fathers response but said nothing. "She also has an apprentice that travels with her. She's a few years older than you but you guys should get along just fine"he continued.

"And why isn't she in Konoha? And why isn't she labeled a missing nin?" Naruto questioned. Jiraiya gave Naruto a sad look. "She's lost a lot kid. She claimed the village has taken everything away from her, so she left.

As for why she's not labeled as a missing nin is because my sensei has a soft spot for his students. Even Orochimaru"he said. Naruto said nothing more as they continued to search for the Slug Sannin.

In Konoha, a dark haired boy could be seen by a lake. He was around 7 or 8 years old. He had small lines framing each side of his nose. He went through surprisingly fast hand signs for someone his age. He then released a pretty big fireball from his mouth.

As it soared over the lake, he heard the sounds of a small child coming behind him. Turning around, he saw his little brother running up to him. He smiled. He caught the boy in his arms as they reached one another. The boy giggled. "Now, now Sasuke, what has mother told you about running near the lake?"he asked.

Sasuke blushed but said nothing. The older boys lips pursed into a smile as they made their way back to the house. Upon reaching the house, a woman came out. She had the same black hair and eyes as everyone else did in their clan. This was Mikoto Uchiha. "Itachi, Sasuke, go shower and get ready for dinner"he commanded. They nodded.

Madara could be seen talking to Nagato once again. "I just want to test the child. He has so much potential, he could be of use in the future" said Madara. "And what of his Father?"asked Nagato. "I will keep him distracted, you just follow the plan. The Deva path will be enough. Try not to kill the brat." Nagato nodded. "It shall be done"he said.

Back with Naruto and Jiraiya. They made it to a bar in a small town in the Land of Fire. Naruto told him that he sensed a large chakra signature that felt calming. Jiraiya had been thoroughly impressed because he'd sensed it as well but he hadn't sensed the calming aura. He didn't let his son know that though.

People have questioning looks at the duo, well toward Naruto in particular. After all he was a child walking into a bar of all places and he looked awfully like the Sannin walking with him. Jiraiya looked around the bar and he recognized a mop of blonde hair that he knew all too well. He grinned a little too pervertedly for Naruto's liking. Of course Naruto would recognize it, he knew his father better than anyone.

Whether he tried to hide his perverted nature from him or not. As they made their way to the woman, a black haired girl appeared as well. "Tsunade-Sama I think you've had en-"she couldn't finish because that's when the father and son duo decided to make their presence known.

"Hello Hime, fancy seeing you here. Long time to see" spoke the grinning white haired man. The slightly drunk Tsunade turned to him in surprise. "Jiraiya!? What the hell are you doing here?" Jiraiya had a mock hurt expression as he quickly responded.

"Now that's no way to greet your favorite teammate"he said. She snorted as she took a look at his companion. She was slightly drunk, she knew that much. But just why in the hell did Jiraiya create a create a younger clone version of himself?'she thought.

Noticing her questioning look towards Naruto, he pushed Naruto forward and gave him a grin. Naruto glared at his father but seeing as the grin didn't falter, he sighed. He turned back to the 2 ladies and started to do a goofy dance. "Hailing from Mount Myoboku, the desire of women of all ages, the heir to the Toad Sage, I am Naruto!" he said with a goofy grin.

The girls just stared at him and Naruto sweat dropped, as Jiraiya was clapping with tears of joy. Snapping out of her stupor, she realized what he said. "Heir to the Toad Sage, meaning you're his…." Seeing him nod, her eyes widened. "What the hell!"she yelled.

Naruto winced. She was very loud. "You stupid perv, you've got to be joking. Since when did you have a kid?"she almost demanded. "Relax Hime, I'll tell you about him over a few drinks. What do you say?"he asked. She nodded, never taking her eyes off of the chibi. Noticing the stare, Naruto chose to comment.

"Um can I help you?"he asked, a little too rude for Tsunade's liking. She narrowed her eyes at him. "You better watch your tone brat. You may be young but I'll still teach you a lesson about respect" she said. Shizune tried to de escalate the situation before it could get out of hand.

Naruto started to lose his patience with the woman. 'First she abandons her village, then she becomes a drunk gambler, who obviously has no control of her emotions. Seriously what did his father see in her?' he thought angrily. Sensing his son's disapproval, Jiraiya intervened.

"Now, now both of you calm down" he said talking to them like children. But before he could continue, Tsunade did. "Can it you old perv. It's obvious that your parenting skills, or lack there of are utterly useless." Hearing that, Naruto lost it. "Listen here you old hag. I can tolerate you talking about me but I will not stand here and let you talk about my father.

You haven't seen him in years or care enough about him to know what you've been through. What gives you the right to talk about him?"he said with a snarl. Tsunade glared at the kid but before she could say anything, Jiraiya put a hand up. "Naruto why don't you go and cool down" he said.

Naruto wanted to rebel but the look from his father sent chills down his spice. "Fine" he said as he walked out of the establishment. Shizune sensed that the adults wanted to talk in private and left after Naruto to talk to the boy. Turning to the blonde with a forced smile, he sat next to her.

Neither of them said nothing for a while until he spoke. "You know I've never seen him get that upset over anything. You struck a nerve within him." She had the decency to shrug it off as if she didn't care. "The brat had it coming. He needs to learn to respect his superiors"she said. Jiraiya exhaled slowly.

He moved on from Tsunade and found love and even had a kid but he's known her for over 30 years and he would never stop caring about her. "He's 5 for one, so your entire point in arguing with him is stupid. Secondly, you insulted his father. I think he acted reasonably"he said. She snorted. "As if I care. What are you really doing here Jiraiya"she said as she poured another glass of sake.

With Naruto and Shizune. She followed him to a clearing in the forest. She watch how he sat against a tree and mediated. It was around 5 minutes before he spoke up with his eyes still closed. "You can come out now, I may be a child but my sensory abilities are quite adept." She walked into the clearing and stood in front of him.

"I'm sorry I didn't get to properly introduce myself. I'm Shizune Kato"she said. Naruto opened one eye and glanced at her. "It's nice to meet you. At least you have manners"he said. She frowned. "I'm sorry about Tsunade-Sama. She's just going through a rough patch in her life. She didn't mean any of the things she said"she replied.

"Yet those insults seem to be a constant reoccurrence according to what my father has told me"he said. She nodded sadly as she sat next to him. "She wasn't like this before her people died. Your father can attest to that. She loved being a shinobi and everything it had to offer until it took everything away from her"she said.

"So what? I lost my mother and my dad lost his lover. Yet we moved on. Why can't she do the same?"he asked irritability. She shook her head. "It's not that simple. Everyone handles grief differently.

As for Tsunade-Sama, she chose to leave the village and vowed to never come back, due to the bad memories it held"she said. Naruto by then opened both eyes and had a frown on his face. "And becoming a borderline missing nin helped her get over her losses?

Did becoming a sloppy drunk who has a gambling addiction, cure her depression?" he asked angrily. Shizune couldn't say anything back because he had a point. There was an awkward moment of silence before Naruto spoke again but this time in a whisper. "What does he see in her?"he asked.

Shizune gave a small smile to the boy. "They've known each other since they were kids. He had an instant crush on Tsunade-Sama from what she told me. They bled, cried and fought with and for each other countless times. It's only Natural for Jiraiya-Sama to harbor feelings towards her "she said.

He glanced up at her with 'hurt?' she thought questioning. "It just doesn't make sense"he said with a frown. "He chased after her for years and she never returned his feelings. Only berated him and punched him like he was a joke.

And then he gave up on her and found love in the form of my mother and they had me and he was happy. But then she died and he came right back to that woman like a lost puppy"he said with tears in his eyes. Shizune's heart broke for the boy.

She finally understood why he was so angry with the Sannin. He felt as if his mother was being replaced. It was sad and a bit foolish but the boy was still young.

As they continued to talk, they failed to notice a figure standing atop of the tree.
