Dunno how I'm flying through these chapters, but I'm amazed at how fast I'm going...I mean, given that I've gotten the story in my mind figured out. ^^

Anyways, here's the next chapter, where hopefully Ramona and the gang will get to the past and save Scott and the Toronto

Enjoy and feel free to let me know your thoughts on the story so far

CHAPTER 3: GOTTA GO BACK IN TIME

Elsewhere at Gamerz 4 Life (Status: Somehow untouched)

Ramona, Wallace, Stacey, Knives and Kim (Status: Serious Business) carefully made their way around the city of Toronto until they had finally found The Nerd's place of work, Gamerz 4 Life. They walked in and luckily found The Nerd (Age: Unknown. Occupation: Inventor/Game Store Clerk. Status: Does he have any clue on what he's done?!),who was behind his counter after putting a new video game console away to greet his customers like he usually would. "Hey there, welcome to Gamerz 4 Life. We got the latest games and video game consoles in store, along with an amazing sale on-" He began with a smile, only to panic when Ramona brought out her Large Hammer and Knives brought out her sais, both threateningly.

"Woah, woah! Ok ok ok, we've got other stuff, like collector's items, limited edition games and-" He then exclaimed in panic, believing he was about to get robbed by the gang until Ramona (Ramona Flowers' Note: Why would I ever be interested in ANY of that stuff?!) was the first to speak, cutting him off instantly. "You're the XXXXXXX who helped that Shadow Figure time travel, aren't you...?!" She growled, trying not to lose her temper and kill The Nerd, even as she raised her hammer some more while at the same time, allowing Wallace and Stacey to hold her back.

"Wait wait, hang on, hang on! I had to! He threatened to destroy me and my collectables if I didn't!" The Nerd pleaded, explain his reasons (Kim Pine's Note: However dumb they were) for helping the Shadow Figure. "He killed my boyfriend!" Ramona yelled, her face rearing into The Nerd's with such lividness. "Who happens to be Stacey's brother, Knives' and Kim's ex and my buddy!" Wallace then pointed out with a huge frown on his face. "So you're gonna tell us where and when you sent that guy, or else I'll gut you like a fish!" Knives then said threateningly, even pointing one of her sais just inches from his neck.

"I-I'm not supposed to give out that kind of information, and even if I had a log book, I wouldn't even...oh crap." The Nerd began, only to accidently give away his log book on the desk (The Nerd's Note: Hey, someone's gotta keep track, right?), which Stacey opened up and saw a lot of names on most pages that were called: Customer for Time Travel, though the most recent page, saw there weren't as many names. However, that was a good thing, since one customer just happened to be The Shadow Figure, who had given away where he went, overall gaining the attention of the gang:

Traveller: The Shadow Figure (No I won't reveal my name! I mean, if it's ok with you?)

Destination Time: 2004 (Day of the Rockit Battle of the Bands)

Reason for travel: KILL Scott Pilgrim for revenge!

"The day of the Rockit Battle of the Bands. Scott's fight with Matthew Patel last year!" Ramona growled, picking up her hammer again and clenched her fists so tightly around it. "You sick XXXXXXX!" Wallace yelled angrily, getting out his bottle and wanting to hit The Nerd, even trying hard to resist leaping over the counter. "Ok, ok. I admit it, it's definitely a huge bummer, about your boyfriend, and buddy, and brother...and ex. I'm not lying here, he was the greatest fighter in the province. But from the whole perspective on the entire space-time continuum, Scott's death was probably just a teeny tiny change on the radar of history." The Nerd then said in hopes to defuse the tension.

However, Wallace and Ramona turned him towards one of the TVs in the store to show how very wrong he was, and there he saw it all: Gideon's cult, destruction caused by the Twins' robots and even Matthew Patel's empire expanding at an alarming rate, the same even went for many people disappearing and even getting hurt because of the madness. "Ohhh crap...that's a very gigantic change." He said awkwardly in horror, unable to believe how wrong he was. "No...YOU THINK, NERD?!" Kim yelled in anger all while she wanted to smack him before looking at Ramona who shook her head to say no.

"It's because of you that Scott's dead and his girlfriend's exes are either power-hungry or worse!" Wallace then pointed out in disappointment, something which The Nerd acknowledged and shook his head. "Right, so what's your plan to fix everything, Miss Flowers?" He asked, wondering how Ramona was going to fix the mess created by The Shadow Figure and basically save Scott. "Simple: We need a spare time machine so you can send us back to the day Scott introduced me to Wallace." Knives then spoke up to the surprise of her friends, sure it wasn't her place to speak, but in just a short time she had come up with a plan to help Ramona fix the future.

"Knives, are you deaf?! Mr. Nerd over here sent that Shadow Figure to the day of the Rockit battle of the Bands." Wallace then pointed out with a good fact, but then Ramona realised what Knives had in mind and slightly smiled in appreciation. "Wait, that's actually a good plan." Ramona responded as she slightly hugged Knives. "Uh, didn't you hear your friend saying that I sent-" Before The Nerd could finish, Ramona then explained the whole plan. "No, she means we're gonna go back eight days BEFORE the Rockit and find out who killed Scott and stop them when he shows up as The Shadow Figure." She said, a plan that The Nerd suddenly began to realise was brilliant.

"That way you'll be ready and waiting for said figure so his plan will ultimately be a bust! Genius bro!" The Nerd said with amazement, wanting to do a high five with Ramona, but she wasn't interested in the slightest. "You know she has a boyfriend, right...?" Kim bluntly pointed out in annoyance. "Y-Yeah...I get that." The Nerd began as he sheepishly looked away. "B-But in case you fail-" He tried to continue, only to be sharply cut off when Knives interrupted. "Can't you take a hint, Nerd?!" She exclaimed with anger, enough to make The Nerd scared for his life.

"Ok ok, I get it. Anyways, here we are. The spare time machine I created." The Nerd said, grabbing a huge box from a trap door underneath his feet, placing it on a nearby desk-like counter before revealing...a pair of roller-skates?! The spare Time Machine created by the Nerd turned out to be a pair of roller-skates (The Time Skates. Capabilities: Time Travel. Required speed to travel through time: 88 Mph. No idea what that is in kilometres though) to the annoyance of the gang, but like Wallace, the time machine really were made out of parts from an old DeLorean, metallic parts built onto the skates themselves.

"Uh...is this some kind of joke?" Stacey asked, annoyed at this reveal. "Trust me, this thing is the real deal, Miss Pilgrim. Made out of parts from an old DeLorean I managed to salvage. 20 years, old tech but very functional." The Nerd explained while also taking out what looked to be an old Nintendo Power Glove that was also built with DeLorean parts, including an input keypad and a display, even a button on the side of the glove's index finger. Ramona meanwhile (Status: Loving the skates though.) admired the design of the skates. "Now these are my kind of skates." She said with a smirk.

"You really live up to your reputation, Mr. Nerd. How'd you even figure out how to make this Time Machine again?" Wallace spoke with amazement, sure it wasn't what he expected, but nevertheless he was amazed that Mobile was right about him. "Don't know and don't care, Wallace. We've got an idiot to save!" Kim then said firmly as she hit him over the head hard. "Much and all as that was unnecessary, Kim's right. We have to save Scott and Toronto." Ramona then said in agreement after looking at Kim. "And this will definitely, 100% guaranteed, help you go back in time to do so. But first, we've gotta hit the road." The Nerd then said before saying something rather rude and odd.

"Wait, hit the road? But we just got here, don't you have any idea on how careful we had to be to get here?!" Stacey then said, wondering just what in the heck this guy meant. "No, I mean that literally. Ya know, for the machine to work and send you back to last year?" The Nerd then corrected with the word literally, confusing the quintet in the process.

After leaving the store and walking (or Skating if you're Ramona Flowers) to a safe place to skate

Ramona and the gang, along with The Nerd, were met with an empty road within Toronto, somewhere near Knives' old high school. Once there, Ramona put on the Time Skates she was given, and surprisingly they felt comfortable. "One of the benefits of being friends with Ramona Flowers, she's a really good roller skater." Wallace pointed out, and since Rammy WAS the only one who was a pro at roller skating, it was better for her to use the skates. This complement got a smile from Ramona within seconds. "Now then, you guys know the rules about time travel, right?" The Nerd then asked after gaining the gang's attention.

"I've kinda only seen one (Ramona Flowers' Note: That being Back to the Future) to be honest." Ramona said sheepishly. "Well, most of us haven't-" Stacey began, and she hadn't seen any time travel films in her life from what she could remember, only to be cut off by Kim. "Can't you just give us the quick version, Nerd?!" She yelled in annoyance. "Ok ok. So, if you wanna save your Boyfriend and fix the future Ramona, then the first rule would be not to facially interact with your past selves (Basic rule of Time Travel, if you've ever seen any). It could lead to a massive reality-destroying paradox and such." The Nerd then explained as a warning since it was important.

"Ok, I got it: Stay away from our past selves and focus on killing The Shadow Figure." Ramona said with a deep breath, but after a second, there seemed to be a last minute problem. "Wait, if we're going with you, then how are we gonna come? Get on your back?" Stacey asked, something which made The Nerd (Emotion: Why didn't I just repair the car?) look away awkwardly. "Simple: With this." Ramona said with a smile before revealing her subspace bag and unzipping it to the amazement of her friends. "Your Subspace Bag, of course! Wait, I thought that was destroyed back in the Chaos Theatre?" Wallace then said in amazement, although his expression soon turned to confusion moments later.

"Well, when I woke up this morning, I found it fixed and hanging off my door." Ramona explained, and she also concluded that time travel had restored the bag to its former glory. "So the idea is that we just…hop inside and let you carry us?" Kim then asked, annoyed at the idea of hopping in the bag with the others and get carried through time by Ramona. But once she saw Ramona nod, Kim saw that there was no other way. "Regrets are seriously piling up inside me as we speak." She groaned before climbing into the bag. "Well...that's definitely a good solution." The Nerd then said with a nod of approval as Knives and Stacey were next to get into the bag.

"Alright, now…I've gotta set this thing to last year and eight days before the Rockit Battle of the Bands…" The Nerd said as he entered the time, date and year onto the glove's keypad to set the destination time, right after switching it on. After a moment, the destination time was the exact date Knives had suggested, just as Wallace had climbed into the subspace bag. "There we are. Now then, all you've gotta do is skate as fast as you can until you reach 88 mph." He then said while placing the glove onto Ramona's right arm, explaining how to travel through time as he did so.

All the while, Wallace and the others were peeping out of the bag to see what was going on. "Once you're skating fast enough, the bar on the side of the glove is gonna fill up with plutonium-like energy that'll glow. Once you hit 88 mph, you've gotta hit the button on the index finger with your thumb to travel to the past." He went on as he gestured down the street. "That's something like a distance of 141.622 km per second or something, isn't it?" Wallace (Kim Pine's Note: How is he this smart?) then asked, his head poking out of the bag for a moment to speak. "That sounds about right." The Nerd then said with a firm nod.

"Then I hit the button?" Ramona asked as she pointed towards the button. "No no, stop! Don't hit it!" The Nerd then exclaimed, shaking his hands in panic to tell her no. "No, I mean once I hit 88 mph." Ramona then explained her question to be sure. "Yeah, that's a good plan." The Nerd then responded with a smirk, not helping to uncomplicate the situation much to Ramona's annoyance. "Nerd, does she hit the button or does she NOT hit the button?! Make up your damn mind!" Kim yelled as she stuck her head out from the subspace bag.

"And more importantly, how do we know if this thing really works, Mr. Nerd…?" Knives then asked, worried about the journey through time to say the least. "You guys will either know…or probably not." The Nerd responded as Ramona got out onto the road carefully. "Oh, but be careful, Ramona! Don't lose those time skates, or you five will be stuck in the past, and let's be honest, losing a year of your life basically sucks." He then added with worry, but was oblivious to Gideon's cult rushing up behind him at fast speeds, along with the Katayanagi Twins' robots and a lot of security from Matthew Patel's empire.

As Ramona shrugged off the words from The Nerd, she prepared to take off to the past as she looked at her friends inside her subspace bag who prepared themselves. "Scott Pilgrim was definitely the best fighter in the province, and fighting for your hand against Gideon Graves was a noble thing for him to do." The Nerd then said as Ramona turned back towards the empty street ahead of her, preparing to take off. "But seeing as how you're the one saving him (The Nerd's Note: Talk about a role reversal) and fixing the future, I gotta say Ramona…you two were really made for each other." He then finished with a smile of approval.

Hearing about Scott, Ramona immediately realized something and looked back at The Nerd one last time, and even Wallace stuck his head out of the bag too. "W-Wait, hang on! How come we remember everything we went through (The Novels, the Movie, the Game etc.) with Scott but nobody else does?" Ramona asked, wanting to know the one question that she wondered all day, and a question that got The Nerd excited. "Great Scott! Th-That must mean…that HE helped you fix everything!" He exclaimed with amazement.

"Wait, who are you talking about?" Ramona asked, wondering just who the heck The Nerd was talking about. "Believe me, when you come back to return the time skates, you've gotta tell me what he was like!" The Nerd gleefully said, almost envious of Ramona for…whatever the hell he was talking about. "Who the hell helped us?!" Ramona then asked, desperate to know, but never got an answer before The Nerd noticed the horde of the Ex's armies closing in on the. "Oh XXXX! They're here, you've gotta go, Rammy! Go for it, and remember, get to 88 MPH!" The Nerd yelled before running for his life, though not before telling Ramona to go.

Seeing as how the massive horde (of Robots, Followers etc.) had spotted her and were desperate to get her, Ramona looked at the destination time on the glove, took a deep breath…and then pushed off instinctively, skating down the street as fast as she could with the boosters slightly beginning to kick in and with the horde following behind her at alarming speeds. Looking at the speedometer on the glove, Ramona saw both the gauge on said glove filling up with glowing energy and saw that she had already gotten pretty fast too.

26

Ramona kept skating, even turning the corner every now and then to lose the horde, but they were still on her tail. "Come on, Ramona...be reasonable. You can't run away from me forever." Gideon's voice spoke from the far distance. Ramona ignored him of course, given how horrible he had treated her during their relationship and after all he'd done to Scott, and besides, this alternate version of him was downright creepier. "Remind me why you dated that guy again...?" Kim then asked in annoyance, briefly sticking her head out of the bag. "Not the best time, Kim!" Ramona yelled as she shoved Kim back into her bag.

39

"Oh boy, I think I'm gonna be hurl!" Wallace gagged, almost getting the urge to throw up before Kim grabbed his mouth. "You barf all over me, I'll punch your life so hard in the face it'll be over before you know it." Kim growled threateningly. "Guys, can you stop fighting please?!" Stacey stressfully yelled with panic, even splitting them both apart with the help of Knives.

52

Further down the road, and still trying to avoid the horde, Ramona began to pick up speed. She nearly lost the glove, but luckily Stacey managed to grab it for her before it hit the ground. Knives tried to get a few cult members off their back by throwing her sais at the ground to trip them up, and it worked for a few moments...but only just for those few minutes. Roxie (Status: Joined Gideon's Cult) showed up with a creepy grin on her face and tried to attack Ramona whilst skating.

"R-Roxie?! What are you-?" Ramona asked, getting a bad feeling from the way Roxie just attacked. "Come on now, Rammy...come back to Gideon and we can make the world right again." The half-blonde ninja said, and seeing her fourth ex had been forcefully turned to the dark side, Ramona shed a few tears, but skated onward to not let Roxie's sacrifice be in vain, but that was easier said than done with parts of the horde closing in dangerously...until...

"Hey, XXXXXXXX! The only thing keeping you and her apart is the two minutes it's gonna take for me to kick your XXXXX!" A familiar voice called from above, causing Ramona, Roxie and the rest of the horde to look up and see...Lucas Lee (Ramona's Second Evil Ex. Occupation: Ex-Movie Star turned Resistance fighter? Status: Doing the right thing), having leapt off the building in front of them and landed on the few members of the horde, who were grabbing Ramona, with his skateboard. Roxie tried to attack, but she missed and ended up being punched into a wall.

"Lucas?! W-What are you…?" Ramona began in surprise, but didn't get the chance to finish off before her second ex interrupted. "I know what you're trying to do, Ramona, and I totally agree with you!" Lucas explained while cruising down the street with Ramona away from the horde. "L-Lucas...thank you." Ramona said gratefully with a smile. "Don't mention it. I'll hold these guys off! Just get back in time and fix this mess!" His final words before he turned around towards the horde and used skateboard as a drill to smash through a lot of horde members.

64

Far from the most of the horde (Huge thanks to the boosters on the Time Skates), Ramona and the others thought they were in the clear, but were ambushed when many of Gideon's cult had taken a short cut and caught up with her. Ramona nearly screamed, but was able to keep it together as the chase continued. "Oh great, is there anything that isn't going to go wrong?" Wallace groaned in annoyance, but spoke too soon when ahead of Ramona, he saw a crowd-like barrier of the Twins' robots, including the Katayanagi Twins themselves, who were planning to capture Ramona as soon as they caught her.

"Ugh...you had to ask..." Kim groaned, though being honest with herself, she was pretty scared along with Knives. "Come on, come on, just get there already!" Ramona yelled, desperate to get up to 88 since she was dangerously getting closer to the robotic barricade and with the horde of followers closing in on her.

AND THEN RAMONA HIT 88 MPH!

The instant the speedometer and the gauge hit 88 mph and flashed green, the button on the side flashed, at which Ramona immediately hit it with her thumb and then whooshed through a great burst of light which left a pair of fiery trails (Along with several electrical shorts) behind, caused the horde to crash into Gideon, his followers and the robots, causing a lot of pain and injuries to them in the process. Gideon looked around at his failure, and upon seeing it, he let out a yell of so much skyward anger.

LAST WINTER

Toronto, Canada (Year: 2004. Day: Wednesday 192 Hours until the Rockit)

Everything was as it was in the past. Quiet, calm and very much uneventful as people got on with their daily lives...

Then all of a sudden, a huge burst of energy manifested on the wrong side of the road, right before Ramona appeared through it, still skating on the roads as if her life depended on it, but then to avoid a head-on collision with a truck, Rammy turned off the road and went down an one-way alley. She tried to slow down, but ultimately tripped on a loose tile and fell head over heels onto the ground roughly. As she rolled along the ground, she unintentionally chucked out Wallace, Stacey, Kim and Knives all over the alleyway with Knives landing on top of Kim.

"Uh…sorry, Kim." She said awkwardly, even rubbing her head a little. "It's fine…now get off me, Knives…" Kim then spoke, annoyed but still caring for her friends. Before long, the five friends got to their feet and dusted themselves off. "So…did we make it, Ramona? Are we on the right date?" Wallace then asked, turning towards Ramona in hopes that they hadn't travelled to the wrong date. Ramona then tried to answer him, but then a convenient newspaper was thrown into a conveniently placed trash can, something that made Ramona herself rush over to see the date and the year, which was 2004. "Oh thank god. We made it, guys." She responded with a smile to the relief of her friends.

"Not gonna lie, Rammy…if we were off by a year, I would've actually killed someone." Kim said bluntly with a relieved smirk, though she didn't actually mean it, but didn't stop Stacey from being disturbed by the thought. "Ok…so we've got 8 days, specifically 192 hours, before the Rockit. We need to find out who killed Scott and stop them before they pull it off. But most importantly, we have to make sure Scott doesn't get hurt." Ramona then said, getting back to the reason they came to the past in the first place.

"Knives, you say this is the day Scott introduced you to Wallace, right? So do you remember where Scott was at this hour?" Ramona then asked Knives. "I was still in school before I came out to meet him and Wallace, then we went to get pizza, look at clothes and then he showed me to his home and Wallace's apartment." Knives explained from her amazing memories (Knives Chau's Note: So glad she has these memories to help her out) of last year. "If it also helps, Scott and I were on our way to her school when…" Wallace began, only to trail off and his eyes widened with shock. Ramona followed his gaze and saw something that made her heart stop.

At the end of the alleyway, the friends saw two familiar figures walking past the entrance of said alleyway, one was Wallace (Past Wallace Wells. Age: 25. Fun Fact: He's gay, whether in the past or present or future. Status: Walking to Knives' high school) and the other was the very guy Ramona was looking to save: Scott (Past Scott Pilgrim. Age: 23. Rating: Awesome. Not-So Fun Fact: He doesn't know Ramona yet until tonight. No interrupting that event) himself. "-'s cool. Chill out. like in train-spotting." Scott said as he and his cool gay roommate walked by the alleyway.

"Holy crap, speak of the devil…" Wallace said quietly in stunned amazement, recalling that The Nerd had said not to interact with their past selves, and boy it was also lucky enough that neither of the pair noticed them down the alleyway. "So then…follow my past self and Scott to Knives' school?" Wallace then asked, somehow reading Ramona's mind which was shown when she smiled gently. "You read my mind, Wallace." And with that said, Ramona and the others took off after Past Wallace.

"I knew I should've stayed in bed this morning." Kim grumbled to herself as she followed Ramona and the others. "We've gotta follow them, but keep quiet, keep your distance and don't interact with them, understand?" Ramona asked as she explained the current plan, and to her expectancy, nobody disagreed with her, and furthermore the past versions of Scott and Wallace were too busy talking to even notice they were being followed anyway.

AND THEN THEY STALKED THE PAIR UNTIL THEY REACHED KNIVES' SCHOOL

Over at Knives' School

Ramona and the others (Status: Keeping a low profile), hid across the street as they watched Past Wallace and Scott talking to each other, all while the students were coming out from Knives' school. They also noticed that Past Wallace was uncomfortable being at the location. "I hate you." Wallace groaned, something that the five friends were able to make out even from where they were, assuming he was talking about being around high schoolers. "Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, Ramona…but why didn't we just use subspace to find Scott's killer or something?" Kim then asked in annoyance, a little bored of waiting.

"Because I can't interrupt everything Scott and I went through, not even this. He's not supposed to know me until tonight, and there's a subspace highway that goes right through his head, so I won't risk running into my other self." Ramona explained. "She's got a good point, you know. We'd probably have a massive paradox on our hands if we ran into our past selves." Wallace (Status: Currently a time travel expert) then whispered. "Yep…basically what he said. We can't risk anything." Ramona responded in agreement with Wallace, and given their current situation, Kim didn't disagree.

"Scott!" A voice from across the street called out to Scott, causing the five friends to turn to see Knives (Past Knives Chau. Age: 17. Fun Fact: She's soooo adorable from how her future self remembers) running towards Past Scott and Wallace with excitement. "Heyyyy!" She said with enthusiasm upon reaching the boys. "Hey Knives, what's up? This is my cool gay roommate, Wallace Wells." Past Scott said, introducing his roommate from the past to his brief girlfriend (Not-So Fun Fact: She doesn't know this yet). Looking back at this moment now, Knives was reminded of her relationship with Scott, and back then...if she had told herself he'd break up with her, she probably wouldn't have believed it.

"Oh, hi! I'm Knives. Do you want to know who in my class is gay?" Past Knives then said, introducing herself and asked as she shook Past Wallace's hand. "Yes. Does she wear glasses?" Upon hearing this from Past Wallace across the street, Ramona, Kim and Stacey turned towards their Wallace, unable to believe he actually said that. "Wallace, seriously?" Stacey said in annoyance. "What would you have done, Stace? Besides, look, I Scott sent me away before I did that." Wallace pointed out in his defence, even pointing to said events across the streets too where Past Scott was telling Past Wallace to leave to his annoyance.

As they saw Past Wallace say that Past Knives was too good for Past Scott, Ramona spotted a huge figure behind one of the trees near the gate, a muscular figure with strange hair, bandages on his hands and a tied back headband, watching Past Scott with what looked to be a glare. Wallace soon noticed and was just as shocked, since he didn't recall any creepy muscle man (Ramona Flowers' Note: How does anyone not notice that guy?!) ever being in the story. "W-Who's that...?" Ramona then asked Wallace, not taking her eye off the muscled man. "No idea...but he doesn't seem good." Wallace replied, worried at who the figure was.

Past Knives and Past Scott then walked off to get Pizza together, and then the muscular figure followed them gently, though not before noticing Ramona and then running off down the street to her horror. "Is it guy the-wait, who's that guy on the roof up there?" Knives began, but then took notice, along with her friends, of a second figure on the roof of a building behind them. The figure was also watching Past Scott walk off with Past Knives, but he was dressed more of a red/orange superhero with a long scarf and a helmet that looked like a bird, something mixed with someone from a Japanese show and Mega Man (Ramona Flowers' Note: At least that's what Scott would've said).

After Past Scott and Past Knives then kept walking, the masked figure (Name: Unknown. Age: Unknown. Status: Sketchy.) then followed them, zipping out of sight and making Ramona fear the worst, resulting in making a quick plan. "Ok, here's what we do now: Knives, you and Kim follow your past self and Scott to make sure nothing happens to them, and keep an eye on chicken boy up there in case he does something to hurt Scott." She said to Knives, who nodded firmly. "What about you guys?" Kim then asked with an arched eyebrow.

"Wallace, Stacey and I are going to trail muscle head, see what he's doing here and what his plan is." Ramona then explained to her friend, and if that man posed a threat to Past Scott, she needed to know and fast. "Whatever you say, Rammy." Kim groaned, rolling her eyes as she as dragged off by Knives to follow Chicken Boy who was currently following her past self and Scott. "Alright, let's go see what that other guy's up to." Ramona said as Stacey and Wallace hopped into Ramona's subspace bag, and took off after the huge muscle figure.

Up ahead after so much skating, the trio had found the muscle figure walking alone in the streets far from the shopping districts, and it was lucky nobody (Ramona Flowers' Note: Not even my past self) was around to see them, but they kept out of sight. Rammy could hear the figure muttering crazy talk like she's the one who's bad not me or I won't stop until we're done forever, and being honest, Wallace and Ramona agreed that this guy sounded mental. They were about to continue following, but the figure suddenly teleported away from them.

"Well that could've been better." Wallace (Status: Sarcasm mode on) then groaned as he got out of Ramona's bag with Stacey. "But at least we know a bit about him, he sounds crazy for a start and he could be plotting something bad." Ramona then responded, sure...he wasn't the Shadow Figure, sine he was a lot bigger, but the idea wasn't entirely out of the question. The fact was the Shadow Figure killed Scott was the core reason...though he didn't seem deranged than when she'd first encountered him at Casa Loma with Scott, and there was something about him that seemed familiar.

Wallace then nodded, and after a few seconds, the trio decided to investigate a little further just in case the Shadow Figure had turned up earlier than they assumed. "Wonder if Knives is having any better luck on her end?" Stacey then asked.

THE MASKED CHICKEN

Meanwhile with Knives and Kim...

The two girls, while keeping their distances, were tailing Past Knives who was talking, about her friend being into a guy (Knives Chau's Note: I could say the conversation from heart) at her school, to Past Scott, whole both eating pizza. But their main priority was keeping an eye on the masked figure, who was also tailing Scott and Knives from the past, but so far it looked like he didn't mean Past Scott, nor Past Knives, any harm.

Inside the clothes store, while Past Knives and Scott were still talking, Kim and Knives kept their eyes on them as they checked out clothes, though they did see Chicken Boy, spying on Past Scott whilst pretending to look through clothes racks, though every time Scott looked his way, the masked figure would turn invisible and move elsewhere. "What is that guy up to, Knives...? And why does he seem hellbent on stalking your boyfriend from the past?" Kim then asked, if anything, she was curious about him. "I don't know...but is it me or does he seem a bit young?" Knives responded in confusion.

"Whatever the case, we need to find out what his intentions are, and if he is that Shadow Figure or not...Scott's life depends on us saving him, much and all as he's an idiot." Kim then said as she glanced at the masked figure, who snuck his way towards Past Scott while he mentioned to Past Knives that Spring was around the corner. Acting fast and using her abilities, Knives snuck over to the figure's scarf and tied it to the clothes rack he was beside, and when he tried getting near Past Scott, he fell backwards. Past Scott heard the noise, but shrugged it off as the figure looked at his scarf (Masked Figure's Note: What the hell?! How'd that happen?!) tied to the rack.

Knives snickered as she made her way back to Kim to spy on the past couple, but by then, they were leaving the store. "Well that went well." Knives said to Kim, who just gave her a deadpanned look. "Knives...normally I'd say that was a bit too much, but seeing as how that guy might be evil, I love your style." She then said, her expression then turning into a smirk.

The two had only just turned around just in time to see the masked figure (Using his invisibility) following Past Scott and Knives out the door and down the street, all while accidentally hitting someone in the face as he left. "Ok on that note, we'd better follow Chicken Boy." Kim then said, causing the two to rush after the figure while also keeping their distances.

Outside the store, the three followers continued tailing the past couple all the way to Scott's old house (The one that his parents had sold). By then, all five had stopped walking, Kim and Knives hid behind a car and the masked figure (Kim's Note: Aka Chicken Boy) was on the side walk a few feet away while still invisible, looking at Past Scott and had a sad look on his face.

"So yeah, this is where it all happened." Past Scott said, looking up at his parents' house though he looked like he never wanted to discuss about his life any further in said house. "And where it'll still happen..." The Masked figure then said to himself, his voice low enough for the past couple not to hear him but yet Kim and Knives could, leading them to ponder just what the heck he was on about. "Ok...that was unexpected." Kim whispered to Knives, unable to deny that the figure was a strange one. "What could he mean by that...?" Knives then asked, briefly looking at the figure.

The Masked Figure almost wanted to go speak to Past Scott, but yet...he didn't, almost like something was holding him back. "I'll uh...I'll walk you to the bust stop, ok?" Past Scott then said to Past Knives, right before leading her away and towards said bus stop. Then, with a bit of a sad expression, and making sure nobody was watching (Except for Kim and Knives), the masked figure teleported away. "Oh great...no way of following that guy now. Come on, we'd better go tell Ramona this." Kim then groaned in annoyance, dragging Knives back to the city to find Ramona and the others, though along the way, Knives couldn't help but feel concerned for the figure.

One regroup later, later in the evening...

Knives and Kim explained the whole thing to Ramona, how the masked figure just stalked Past Scott (Who has no idea about the whole time travel plot) and never once tried to kill him or Knives' past self. "And that's pretty much what we have to report." Knives concluded before letting out a sigh. "Well...at least we know that masked chicken isn't much of a threat, but we need to keep an eye on him tomorrow." Ramona then said, curious to see who that masked figure was and why he was in the past stalking her past boyfriend. "Right. Anyways, how'd it go on your end, Ramona?" Kim asked, wondering if there was any info on the muscly figure that Rammy had tailed earlier on.

"Well, we know that muscle head is crazy, though as to why he was looking at Scott we don't know..."Ramona explained, though she felt like his voice sounded so familiar when he spoke. "He sounded like he was that Shadow Figure, but we're not concluding it at that so far, since he doesn't look anything like his-" Wallace then tried to explain only for Kim to cut him (Wallace Wells' Note: I didn't even get to describe what he looked like...) off. "Ok, ok, Wallace. We get the picture." She said, not wanting to hear anymore after getting the picture.

"We also went to see who's description would fit that Shadow Figure too. We tried Wallace, but you care bout Scott too much. We then investigated Crash and The Boys, but none of them had any grudge against Scott, not after they helped him defeat Todd. Then of course, there was Julie...but even with her anger and hatred for Scott, she didn't seem like the Shadow Figure at all." Ramona then said, ruling out a few suspects for this whole mystery. "Yeah, figured it couldn't have been Julie...she's too much of a XXXXX and a half to even know about time travel." Kim then said bluntly.

"It doesn't explain why there's two figures, like Muscle head or the Masked Chicken, stalking my little brother though." Stacey then said, not just wondering how it was a miracle that nobody noticed either figures, but why they were in the past like they were. "Well like I said, Chicken Boy was stalking Scott and then vanished after Past Scott showed Past Knives his parents' house." Kim then reminded the others. "So if that masked chicken is following Scott..." Wallace began, realising that if he didn't mean harm, then he must be stalking Past Scott for a reason.

"Then the next place he'll probably be is at the public Wychwood Library, where we first saw you there, Ramona." Knives finished realised (Knives' Chau's Note: Wow, am I on fire today or what?!) with a smile. Despite no identity on the Shadow Figure's identity, they at least knew where the masked chicken was going next. "Nice one, Knives. Man, I knew Scott made your life better, and this is proof...well, a little worse, but still, you know what I mean." Wallace said, celebrating briefly with a margarita (Stacey Pilgrim's Note: How'd he get one in the middle of this place?!).

"Well then tomorrow, you and Kim go find Chicken Boy and bring him to us for questioning." Ramona then said with a confident smirk. "We'll get through this in no time." Kim then said with a simple smile, the relief that they'd be able to fix things filling her up with hope. "For now though, we need to set up camp for the next nights. Wallace, can you help fix up the tent?" Ramona then said before asking a favor from Wallace. "Wait wait wait, where am I supposed to find a tent?" He then asked in shock, since the shops were most likely all shut and there was no spare tent around, he was absolutely confused as hell. Though thankfully, Ramona provided him the answer: with her subspace bag.

"Ramona...I swear you're full of surprises." He said before pulling out a tent and surprisingly, given how easy it was, set it up. That night, the five friends slept in the tent with the sense of hope that they'd fix the problem in less than 8 days, though with the muscle head (Possible killer of Scott Pilgrim. Name: Unknown. Sanity: Unknown) out there...this wasn't going to be AS easy as they would hope.

It's the world of Scott Pilgrim, nothing's as easy as one hopes

Anyways, what dangers awaits Ramona and the gang? Will Ramona ever figure out the identity of the Shadow Figure? And who are these two new figures in the past? Guess we'll have to find out in the next chapter ^^

Until then, Negaboss2000 out
