11:30 AM, many students knew about the emergency court hearing, so everyone decided to leave class and go to the cafeteria, where Linus was already waiting. Surprisingly, Charlie Brown was also there, wearing a suit and tie.
The students of Birchwood Vision 1 Student News decided to interrupt their normal programming, as an emergency court hearing was taking place.
"Good morning, this is a Birchwood Vision 1 student news special report. We are coming on air, as a third grader was framed for stealing. Let's go to the cafeteria, where everyone is already gathered." Olivia said.
"Linus, that's a nice suit." Charlie Brown said.
"Thanks. Don't worry. Plead not guilty. I know you never did this." Linus said.
Then, the theme song from "The People's Court" was played by Schroeder.
"Okay, guys. Case 87.425A is coming into the courtroom. The students whose personal property was stolen are suing Charles Brown. Kindergartner student and student judge: Rerun Van Pelt is presiding." Jake said.
"Thank you. Alright, everyone. Please sit down. I am Rerun Van Pelt. So, it seems we have quite a case, doesn't it? Framed for stealing?" Rerun said.
"It's true." Charlie Brown said.
"Who would you like to call to the stand?" Rerun asked.
"The first person I'd like to call to the stand is Violet Gray." Schroeder said.
So, Violet walked to the center of the cafeteria, glaring at the kid in the yellow shirt, hoping he'd lose his case.
"State your name, and your grade in the court." Rerun said.
"Violet Gray, a third-grade student." Violet said.
"So, where were you during Third Period, just before the stealing happened?" Rerun asked.
"Well, I was sitting at my desk when for no reason, this useless, Fucked-Up, Worthless Jackass came to my desk and stole $150 that I got! Thief!" Violet said.
"I'm not a thief!" Charlie Brown exclaimed.
"Order in the court!" Rerun said.
"Anyway, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted, Charlie Brown came up to my desk, and stole the money from my purse." Violet said.
"Is that true, Charlie Brown?" Rerun asked.
"It is. But I was wanting a snack, and a few drinks." Charlie Brown said.
"Aha! He admitted it!" Violet pointed at him.
"Look. I'm trying not to get mad, but please stop annoying me." Charlie Brown said.
"That's a good reason." Rerun said.
"Here's a good reason!" Violet said as she lunged at him, causing a brawl in the cafeteria.
"Hey, Hey, Hey!!" Break It Up!" Schroeder said as Patty and Lucy pulled her off of Charlie Brown.
"You are very lucky, Brown." Violet said.
"Anyway, who would you like to call next?" Rerun asked.
"I'd like to call Marcie to the stand." Schroeder said.
"Good morning." said Jake.
"Morning." Marcie said.
"State your name for the record." Jake said.
"Marcie Carlin, a third-grade student." Marcie said.
"So, you knew Charlie Brown for a few years, have you ever seen him steal anything?" Rerun asked.
"Well, I've told him to put things back that he usually takes, in a stern but understanding voice. So, of course he stole; however, he claims he never does this." Marcie said.
"Exactly!", said Linus.
"See, Linus agrees that he didn't do it." Marcie said.
Rerun spoke to Peppermint Patty, Heather, Laurel, Mia, etc. He then said those words which changed the course of his life.
"Rerun?" asked Linus.
"Do you have anyone you'd like to call as a witness?" Rerun said.
"I call Charles Brown to the stand." Linus said.
That caused a near brawl in the cafeteria.
"Order." Rerun said as he banged on a lunch table again.
"Order!" Rerun said louder.
"ORDER!!!", Rerun shouted.
"Knock it off!", Ethan screamed.
"Sit down!" Rerun said.
"Ethan, it is with morbid curiosity that I allow this Freak Show to continue." Rerun said.
"My name is Charles Brown, and I am a third-grade student." Charlie Brown said.
"So, I assume you were framed for stealing. Do you have any proof that it wasn't you who stole?" Rerun asked.
"Linus?" asked Charlie Brown.
"Sir, I decided to acquire Security Camera Footage from when the incident occurred. With your permission, I'd like to play the following footage." Linus said.
Linus played the footage from Friday's lunch.
"So, Charlie Brown was asking Heather to use her credit card to buy a snack. But watch closely. You see a person going up to Charlie Brown, putting Mrs. Othmar's money in his pocket, along with Heather's credit card, and accusing him of stealing. And it was at 11:35 AM when that happened. And you see here in this camera in the hallway near the 2nd story wing, he did shove Ethan, but it was because he was defending himself from the bullying. And I also have footage from Monday at 6:30 AM. Mr. Robinson? With your permission, I'd like to play the following footage from Monday." Linus said.
"Go ahead." said Mr. Robinson.
Linus replayed the footage from Monday at 6:30 AM.
"Watch closely, everyone." Linus said.
The footage showed the same person dressing up as Charlie Brown, stealing alcohol from the store, opening his locker, and putting the alcohol inside, and writing a note saying it was Charlie Brown who stole it and no one could stop him.
"So, you see? Charlie Brown was telling the truth all along. Charlie Brown was framed for the crime he didn't commit. And I know exactly who framed him." Linus said.
Linus approached the person dressed as Charlie Brown, removed the mask from his head to reveal Ethan, the kid who had framed him.
"Ethan?!" Everyone was shocked.
"Ethan, you did this?" Charlie Brown asked.
"Yes. It was me. I just wanted you to realize that you always got away with everything." Ethan said.
"So, you were the one who not only framed Charlie Brown for stealing, but you put alcohol in his locker! How dare you?!" Rerun exclaimed.
"But, why? Why would you even frame me? Do you know how much trouble you've put me in? Do you?" Charlie Brown asked.
"I believe this will involve a conference with your parents, Ethan. And the cops too." Mr. Robinson said.
"And I would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for the kid in the yellow shirt, and your meddling lawyer friend who you call your best friend." Ethan said as he was escorted to the principal's office.
"I believe Charlie Brown is not guilty of the crimes, as he was framed! The court is adjourned!" Rerun exclaimed excitedly.
All the students cheered, as he finally received the justice he had been waiting for.
"This calls for a celebration! Let's party at the 2-story wing and the playground! My treat!" Jake exclaimed, and all the students ran to the 2 Story Wing and out of the school with excitement.
"Charlie Brown? I am so sorry I jumped to conclusions. I am sorry I didn't believe you. You no longer have to serve your punishments, and you will be able to attend the Field Trip to Six Flags at the end of the year. Please stop by my office to get the punishments revoked. And the crimes have been removed from your record." Mr. Robinson said, feeling very sorry for not believing him.
"Lucky." Ethan said, not surprised.
"But you. For framing him, and getting him into very serious trouble, you will be serving the punishments that Charlie Brown received. Do I make myself crystal clear?" Mr. Robinson said.
"Yes, Sir." Ethan said.
"Are you coming, Charlie Brown?" Linus asked.
"Go ahead. I'll catch up with you." Charlie Brown said.
Charlie Brown walked to the principal's office with a happy face, and got the justice he had been waiting for.
"So, I've decided to remove the punishments you received from your record. A talk will take place after 5th period." Mr. Robinson said.
"I fully agree with you." Charlie Brown said.
Charlie Brown ended up going to the 2nd-story wing where Linus, Jake, Laurel, Mia, and many third, fourth, and fifth grade students were.
"So, you had your punishments removed, huh?" Linus asked.
"Yeah, I've got one more thing to do." Charlie Brown said.
