INT. DOUG FUNNIE'S ROOM - DAY
(Doug Funnie sits at his desk, flipping through a notebook filled with doodles of his crush, Patti Mayonnaise. Bud Dink bursts in, exuding his trademark enthusiasm.)
BUD DINK
Hey there, Douglas! Whatcha doin', my man?
DOUG FUNNIE
Oh, hey Bud. Just, uh, going over some... notes.
BUD DINK
(grinning)
Ah, notes, eh? Planning your next move with that little filly, Patti Mayonnaise?
DOUG FUNNIE
(blushing)
Well, uh, yeah. I mean, I guess I'm trying to figure out how to, you know, ask her out.
BUD DINK
(smirking)
Ah, young love! Well, let ol' Bud Dink give you some sage advice. I've been 'round the block a time or two, you know!
DOUG FUNNIE
(sitting up)
Really? What should I do?
BUD DINK
(leaning in)
First things first, Dougie-boy. Confidence is key! You gotta strut up to that gal like you own the place, see?
DOUG FUNNIE
(nodding)
Got it. Confidence.
BUD DINK
And don't forget to be yourself! None of that fancy stuff or trying to be someone you're not. Patti's gotta like you for you, Dougie!
DOUG FUNNIE
(taking notes)
Be myself. Check.
BUD DINK
Last but not least, timing is everything! Pick the right moment, like when the stars align and the moon is full... or something like that.
DOUG FUNNIE
(chuckling)
Thanks, Bud. I'll keep that in mind.
BUD DINK
That's the spirit, Doug! Now go out there and sweep that Mayonnaise off her feet!
DOUG FUNNIE
(grinning)
I'll give it my best shot. Thanks, Bud!
BUD DINK
Anytime, kiddo! Remember, Bud Dink's always here for ya!
(The two share a hearty laugh as Doug prepares to face the world of romance with newfound resolve.)
