Beginning AN: here it is the ninth chapter. with this there's at least five more chapters remaining to the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess arc. which are going to cover the city in the sky, the palace of twilight, hyrule castle, the showdown with Ganondorf and the aftermath of the showdown in that order. now on with the story.
Chapter 9: LoZ Twilight Princess part 8
The temple of light was rather easy, they had to get to the top of the temple, and beat a dark nut to get the dominion rod that could control statues. They then had to use it to bring the statue down to the first floor to open the way to the boss. Which was a giant armored spider that made acromantula's look small. It made hagrid look small in fact. Luckily they were able to destroy it with the dominion Rod to control the four giant statues, and retrieved the mirror shard.
They then returned to the present where they learned the dominion Rod had run out of magic, so they decided to go to Kakariko where the shaman had an idea to help restore Ilia's memory. They returned to the castle town doctor, who led them to Telma's cat, who led them to the south side of the field where they found stalhounds, leading to anyone watching to learn about the massive armies of the undead waiting buried underneath Hyrule field, that come to life to attack at night.
After retrieving the item they were looking for from them they were led back to Ilia and found out about a hidden village from the gorons in the building, after freeng the village from Bulbins they found the lone survivor of the Sheikah of the time period, who gave them the horse call that when brought back to Ilia restored her memories. That in turn led them back to the old woman to get the old book of sky writing. On the way out Link howled at a howling stone, and led them to the barrier around Hyrule castle between it and castle town, where they met the golden wolf, for the final lesson the Great Spin, but leaving Link not knowing what to feel when he returned to Midna.
"Are you okay?" She asked worried.
"I don't know." Link sighed. "I found out the golden wolf was the hero's Shade, the soul of the hero before me, and my ancestor. I never knew who my ancestors were and now I find the hero is one of them. I don't know what to think."
"Well, does it change things now?," Midna asked. Getting a thoughtful look from Link.
"No not really." He said. "We have a quest to do so let's get to it. I can focus on this afterwards."
With that they headed to Shad in the cellar of the Kakariko shaman house, who read the partial entry in the book restoring power to the dominion Rod, before they headed out to move the other statues to retrieve the missing characters from the book, upon which they returned to Shad who read the completed entry and turned the final statue like the others so the dominion Rod could move it revealing the damaged Sky Cannon they took to Fyer at Lake Hylia to fix it for 300 rupees, before using it to shoot themselves up to the city in the sky.
Meanwhile at Hogwarts
Dumbledore and his Hogwarts staff are still observing Midna and Link's adventure.
when they saw Midna and Link fight Gohma and kill her Hagrid was a little distraught seeing something even remotely like his old pet Aragog get killed.
when they saw Hyrule's undead come to life at night they were freaked out.
and they continue watching Midna and Link's quest unfold.
Ending AN: that's the chapter. this is turning out to be the longest first story arc I've ever done. read and review but leave any flame reviews to yourselves I'll just ignore them. sorry if it's too short there's still more to come.
Next Time: Midna and Link do everything there is to do in the City in the Sky and make their way to the Palace of Twilight.
