Hello reader! So I will say that I absolutely LOVE Hazbin Hotel! I had heard of it years ago, but now finally seeing the full project is just a joy to watch! If you guys don't know what it is, you can look it up on YouTube, just keep in mind, that it is a dark comedy that tackles serous messed up stuff. Which is why this story is rate M. I don't normally say this with my other fanifc stories, But I only own my own OCs, everything else is owned and created by Vivienne Medrano.
Just to let you know, I am not good at doing trials, I have never watched one on the News or even on TV shows. So I'm just winging it!
Also, please pardon me for any spelling errors I am dyslexic.
I hope you guys enjoy!
2024 update! Hey guys so after seeing the first few episodes of Hazbin Hotel I wanted to go back an update a little on the first chapter. I gave Miranda a new design.
January 2d 1900
Every day in Heaven was the same; blue skies, sunning sun, pure white clouds, gorgeous. Though, today wasn't very cheerful, for there had been a crime... an angel was being put an trial.
The large open court-room that was held outside was full of nervous / judging angels and cherubs, all whispering and gossiping as they eyed the suspect. Out of all the angels in Heaven, they never thought it be her.
Dressed in an exorcists' stained with gold blood. Her name, was Miranda. Large chains were wrapped around her body pinning her arms to her sides, her big, gorgeous wings were chained shut together. Her long silver opal hair covered her eyes, as she looked to the ground, with her little halo above tilted forward.
the judge banged his gavel, everyone went silent, "All rise, for our Lord God," The large, giant figure of God walked into the room. Everyone stood up in respect as he sat in his large chair behind the judge, his face always covered by the clouds. Once everyone was seated again, the judge cleared his throat and began, "The court is now in session. Miranda, you stand before our Lord for your sin."
The angel very slowly lifted her head, she kept a straight-face that was unreadable, while her once shining blue eyes looked hollowed out. There was no emotion, no fear or worry, everyone was tuned out as she focus solely on the judge.
He frowned at her silence, but kept going, "On December 31th the day of extermination, you committed mass-murder on your brothers and sisters, using a double spear." There was still no reaction, "Your weapon was given to you by Adam, to use against sinners who try to come to Heaven." The leader of the exorcists did an ego hand-wave to the crowd while he sat in the witness chair. "You were a powerful and skilled exorcist who went down to Hell during the yearly 'Extermination', to deal with the overcrowding of demons that plague that unholy land. Why use it against your own?"
Everyone was on their seats, waiting for an answer. Miranda took a quick glance up at God, then very slowly took a deep breath, "I wasn't a fan of what Tabbris said to us in passing conversation; how there is nothing more to want and that everything we ever wanted is handed to us."
"And why did that bother you? Tabbris was not wrong, in our past lives as humans we struggle to not sin, for we wish a better life in Heaven-"
"And that's why I did it," Miranda cut him off, "You take your pride as a saint too far, did you really struggle and suffer as a human? Yes, the mortal world is terrible and cruel, but I feel it as if the ones who truly suffer a miserable life should be granted immortality. Tabbris was a selfish pompous prick that didn't amount to anything, nor made a difference." Everyone gasped out at her vulgar words.
"Ooh shit!" Adam gawked, trying to keep his swearing on the downlow, no fowl talking in front of their Lord.
The judge banged his gavel, quieting the court down, "Well then," Clearing his throat again, "since you have no one to defend you, and if that is your case, then the jury will now commence there decision."
Everyone took a short recess. Hatred glaring were shot down at Miranda from all angles, but she hardly cared. Although, there was one angel that was pissing her off. And no it wasn't her "now" former mentor snacking in his seat (he did that on a daily bases).
Paschar, who was leaning against the the witness stand, arms crossed. He was there to witness her murder and reported her to Adam. The twat ratted her out like the spineless snake eh was. If she wasn't in chains, Miranda would have loved to ripped his wings off, and shove them down his throat.
"Man, this is such a fuckin' bummer." Adam finally broke the silence in the court room, "And after everything I did for you! You were the baddest bitch I had! Your kill count was unmatched! And you never replied to my calls!" Her mentor bitched on.
Miranda rolled her eyes, turning her head so not to look at the asshole, "Well, if it means I never have to listen to your problems and constantly cock-block you with your microscopic dick ever again, I'd say it was worth it." She made a side-eyed glance with a smirk, seeing Adam's face turn slightly red.
Paschar also voiced his own anger towards the traitor, "You're gonna get what's comin'."
"Is that a threat?" Miranda focused on him now, only pissing Adam off more, "You must think you're a real hero turning me in? Having done one thing is you hundred years of living in Heaven. Amounting to nothing."
"Shiiiit dude..." Adam snorted, not helping his comrade.
Pascher gritted his teeth and was about to shout back, but the jury returned, "The jury has made their decision." The judge announced.
They stood up, "After much deliberation, we find Miranda guilty. And will be banishment to Hell." Everyone gasped out as Adam coked on his food; the last banishing was of the 7 Fallen Angels. It was a severe punishment.
"Before your banishment, do you have any last words you would like to say? Or to your Lord?" Miranda looked up at God's covered face, no one really knew what he looked like, but then again, no one ever judges their Lord.
Miranda bowed her head in shame, "I know I do not have the right to beg for forgiveness. I am sorry that I have fail you God. However," She looked back up, "I have no regrets on my decision. It is my sin to bare, and I will always remember the kindness you have shown me in my years in Heaven," She knew she was milking it, and that's what she wanted. Seeing Paschar's face frown even more was a treat, "I only ask for one thing, that I may take my spear with me?" It was still a powerful tool, the only weapon to permanently kill a demon. If she was going to be banished, she would want to me armed.
"Uh- I fuckin' object!" Adam shot from his seat, "I gave her that weapon! Shouldn't I-!"
"I WILL ALLOW THIS." God finally spoke, shutting the exorcist up.
Miranda gave a polite smile and bowed again, "Thank you, my Lord."
The former angel was then escorted to the old banishment hole to Hell; the very one Lucifer and his followers fell down. This was not just a banishment, it was a transformation, to make sure that she could never step one foot back into Heaven.
Everyone was gathered around form a distance, wanting to witness this once in a lifetime event. Miranda was right at the edge of the hole, peaking down she comically whistled, "Damn..."
And to add another 'fuck you boss', Paschar, was unfortunately chosen to hand over her spear (much to Adam's dismay ). After seeing the psychopath in action, he didn't want to be within arms reach of her. But, he had no choice.
Swallowing hard, he marched over to her, extending his arms out as far as he could, handing her the spear. Miranda stared down at her spear and then at him, she could see the sweat poring from his face, before he could flinch, she grabbed his wrist and pulled him close, whispering in his ear in a dark voice, "I'll be back for you..." Paschar tensed up, pulling away and stepping back as fast as he could.
Miranda with held a chuckle at his reaction. She glanced over her shoulder staring at the black-hole. Taking one last looked at Heaven, the angels she called brothers and sisters, and her mighty God. She smiled sweetly and said her final word, "Sayonara~." Leaning back, falling down.
The fall was hours longer then the elevator the exorcist use. The further she fell, the hotter the aria felt. As she dropped, Miranda could feel her body changing; her blood was burning like fire, her joints twitched and ached as she gasped for air. She was turning into a demon. Shutting her eyes, Miranda screamed in agony, every feather on her wings caught fire, as they both slip in two.
The dark nothingness quickly turned a deep, blood-red; she was out, she had made it. But she was still falling and the ground was coming fast. Miranda's eyes shot opened, using all of her strength she pushed her arms and wings opened, shattering the chains around her body. Spinning into a front flip, she landed on her feet on top of a high building.
Letting out a tired sigh, finally standing up to look at her new home; It was very different from Heaven; Hell looked more like earth, but dirtier. Everything was mostly colored red and black, and the smells alone were sickening. Miranda looked up to where she had fallen, the pit-hole was gone and there was a giant pentagram in the sky. And just to add insult to injury, it was raining, what a day to be banished.
She focused down at the puddle beneath her feet; taking in her new form. Her fair skin was now a pale-white, black fingernails and toenails. Her ears had a slight point like an imps, hair that once shined like a gem now an ashy-grey. The whites in her eyes faded slightly, irises now yellow like a feline's and slit black pupils. The biggest changes were on her back, the once gorgeous white wings had burned black, they both split sideways into four four raven wings. they burned still dripping blood. And the the cherry on top, two long black devil horns peaking from her hair on top of her head. The only thing that stayed the same (and stuck around) was her halo, hanging around her right horn, flickering like a bulb about to go out.
Even her gold weapon had mutated. The staff matched the blackness of her wings, with blood-red tips.
Ginning, showing off the fangs she now wore. Miranda started giggling, before going into a historical laughter, covering one eye with her hand. After she got that out, she sighed and looked beyond the ruined land, "Hello Hell, get ready for your new dark angel~."
