I own nothing except the plot. I'm not following the storyline with this story. It will be AU.
Always and Forever.
Those three words haunted Elena Gilbert who was staring at the letter in her hands that she secretly kept with her at all times. Ever since that fateful day in Pennsylvania with Elijah, she's barely talked to anyone as she sorted out her emotions for the Noble Original with impeccable taste. She remembered the last time she saw Elijah as their first and only kiss went through her head. Since her favorite Original left, she's felt a weird pain in her chest and didn't know why. He managed to get her emotions to turn back on by kissing her. She wasn't stupid since she could see the way he looked at and how he felt about her. He's in love with her and she'd be lying if she said she didn't feel the same way about him. She always known how he felt the second she turned around in that abandoned house where Rose and Trevor had held her captive for Klaus in exchange for their freedom. Unfortunately, Trevor never got his since Elijah ripped his head from his body minutes after his arrival. Rose was furious at him, but stood down since she didn't want the same thing to happen to her and left soon after. Elijah had kept close at Elena's side until Stefan and Damon got in the way and then he was daggered. Luckily, Elijah forgave Elena for every single betrayal. She never forgot the way he looked at her and how he still left things unsaid even though his indirect confession when he said that he admired her because of the traits she still has that he was reminded he had from when he was still human and how his eyes gave him away when he said he'd never fall for another Petrova Doppelganger again due to it being a mistake had told her that he clearly had feelings for her and probably still has. She hasn't heard from him since their last meeting.
Sighing, she put the note away and shook her head, but still couldn't get Elijah out of her mind. All of her memories with him-good and bad-made her feel certain emotions she'd rather ignore, but couldn't. No matter what, she was always thinking of Elijah ever since they met and couldn't control it. She didn't know what to do and put the letter down on her nightstand.
The Secret Circle
That night, Cassie Blake walked away from the fireplace, thinking how much more powerful she could really be. Smirking at the possibilities, she looked through her book of shadows. She teleported to one of the places she once lived at and walked around, feeling nostalgic when she actually first learned about magic. It wasn't from Diana and the circle, but from a certain vampire/werewolf hybrid who was in Mystic Falls. Klaus and Greta taught her everything she knew after she accidentally killed someone and found Greta nearby. She helped her and introduced her to Klaus who also taught her more about her magic. The two of them made sure Cassie was able to use her powers easily and not have unanswered questions. The blond witch was amazed, but also worried and a little terrified since her mom never found out about it. Cassie eventually moved away from Mystic falls over the next couple of years, but stayed in touch with both of them. No one knew that Klaus had mentored the blond witch and he preferred for it to stay that way since he and his family had a lot of enemies.
Cassie sighed at the memories when everything was still easy due to still having her mother around at the time. Now she didn't have anyone. Her circle was split, she didn't have a boyfriend, her parents and grandmother were all dead and she was all alone with no one in Chance Harbor, which is why she went back to Mystic Falls. She walked around town and noticed nothing had changed in the years she's been gone. She didn't think being forced to move around, for what her mom believed Cassie didn't know about when Greta and Klaus told Cassie about her witch heritage before Amelia could, and into a circle she didn't want to be a part of was fair at all. She blamed Diana for most of it. Now that she didn't have the circle, she was able to perform even more powerful magic than before without the others knowing about it.
She teleported back home and got something to eat before she went to bed. Luckily, she was off for two days and had some time to herself. She went to her room, looking through her book of shadows for anything that could help her. After she didn't find anything, Cassie smirked as she used magic to change her clothes. Now wearing a black low cut shirt, black mini skirt and high heeled boots, she felt better and even dyed her hair.
She was tired of people who visited or lived in the house dying on her-Nick, Amelia and her grandmother-so she was full of anger for the death of her mom and grandmother along with her sister's choice to who leave town to chase a fucking fairytale that didn't exist almost right after Jane died and left Cassie to deal with that all on her own. She missed her mom and Jane, but they were both dead; her father was dead and that was confusing for her since he was evil, but still her dad; she was furious with almost everyone except Nick-who is also dead-and Melissa. Why did Diana get to chase a fairytale and ignore her responsibilities as a circle member when her life is falling apart and she has to stay in town? It wasn't fair. If anyone deserves to chase a fairytale and flee town because of their problems, it was her. She's lost the most out of all of them. Jake and Nick lost their parents. She did too. Jake and the circle lost Nick. She did too even though she never really know him. Faye lost a grandparent. She did as well. Cassie lost her normal life while it took Diana and the others a year to get used to it and Jake two years. It was all too much for her.
She read her book of shadows while she laid down. Sighing, she couldn't stop thinking about what happened since she moved here. She rolled over in her bed and started crying, not knowing how she could fix everything. She felt helpless and alone. She couldn't sleep, so she stayed up and wondered who would be able to replace Diana.
The circle leader went downstairs and smirked before she teleported a notebook to her and a pen. Sitting down at the kitchen table, she opened it up to the first blank page. "Find a 6th circle member, figure out everything regarding the Balcoins-who they are, if they are like Diana or Blackwell, etc-and try keeping the circle together." She said to herself as she wrote it down before she erased the last part. Instead, she wrote over it. "Have FUN this summer."
Smirking, she put the pen down and the notebook up before going to the abandoned house and practicing magic for hours before she decided to study to keep her mind off things by trying to learn as much as she could, looking through her books, class notebooks filled with notes and reviews packets for each subject she had to do. It was so boring, but a smirk appeared on her face as she got an idea.
Lost for now, soon to be found, review answers come unbound, she thought. The answers appeared instantly and she copied the answers exactly the same way as she moved her hand to make it look legitimate as possible. Smirking to herself, she finished quickly and decided to used magic on herself to remember everything on the exams so she'd definitely pass without trouble.
She also decided to keep the test answers hidden underneath her pop quiz when it was time to take it. She put everything back into her bag and felt extremely confident, so she practiced her magic some more.
The Secret Circle
Jake woke up later the next day and sighed, wondering what was in that vial his grandfather left for him. Sighing, he heard Cassie on her cell phone since they were across from each other.
"Yeah, sure. I'll meet you there." She replied before going downstairs and driving off.
The oldest member of the circle wondered if Cassie was okay since the only times she really spoke to any of her fellow witches were during circle meetings. What happened to staying together even if we aren't bound?
He texted her and waited for a reply, but none came. Sighing, Jake put his phone down and shook his head before continuing to try and figure out the vial.
Secret Circle
Adam was at the boathouse in the back room, holding the crystal skull and feeling it's power flow through him as it made him stronger. Shaking his head, he got back to work and walked back to the front room of the boathouse. He took orders and sighed, wishing he could get back to the skull so he could bury it, but it would have to wait.
He wondered if Cassie would be okay by herself in that house, hoping Diana was alright since she left town with a guy they barely knew and worried about Melissa after Nick died a second time.
The Secret Circle
Cassie was practicing magic and learned a few tricks before she was asleep in her bed, tossing and turning as the same nightmares of Amelia, Nick and Jane dying flashed through her mind once again. She never had a chance to grieve for any of them since she had to move almost right after her mom died and that was before the circle took over her life almost since she moved to Chance Harbor; dealing with witch hunters, more demons and everything else, like ghost covens, her dad coming back and Kate trying to kill her, she didn't have time to grieve for Nick or Jane either. Sure, she may not have known them for very long, Nick the least between the two, but that didn't mean that she didn't care about someone she hardly knew after spending some time together since Amelia never talked about her life in this town and Nick was a loner even though he had the circle around. Losing both of his parents when he was a baby and then his brother leaving town when Jake was 17 and Nick was 15 was messed up, so it's understandable why he preferred to be alone when it wasn't related to circle business or him being involved with Melissa later on.
The circle leader tried to get comfortable, but she couldn't. It seemed almost impossible for her now that she felt more alone than before. No longer having the circle around and with almost all of her family members gone with the exception of Diana, since she didn't know Blackwell's other children, she didn't know what she would do for the rest of the summer.
The Secret Circle
Someone was watching from the shadows with an unreadable expression before walking away.
The Secret Circle
Melissa Glaser woke up at Faye's house after spending the night. She saw the girl still asleep and decided to get ready and check on Cassie after yesterday at school. She grabbed everything she needed and went to the Coffee shop, hoping the blond was there. She was, but looked very different. She was wearing clothes that were more Faye's style and her hair was now black. She was talking to some unfamiliar people and that worried Melissa about her mental state
H20: Just Add Water
An adult Emma Gilbert was still traveling with her family and headed to their next destination, which was a surprise for Emma and Elliot since Lisa had gotten a call from an acquaintance of hers and she agreed that her family needed to go there and help out if they could, but wouldn't say anything more. Neil was driving. Emma missed her friends and wished they'd stayed in contact. "I can't wait to see where we're going now."
"Relax, Em. We should be there in a couple of hours." Neil said, looking in the rearview mirror at his daughter who nodded. The family enjoyed the scenery before Emma fell asleep. She woke up as they were parked in front what used to be a house. "What happened to her house?" Lisa asked, shocked, at the foundation that was left behind. Emma wasn't wearing her old style anymore, but kept the same color scheme of white and blue. She wore an edgy but still cute white blouse with 3/4 sleeves, dark blue skinny jeans that were also the same length, but the biggest new thing was her black high heel boots.
The family drove around town before they spotted a familiar brunette female. Stopping the car, Emma smiled and got out.
"No way." Elliot said, bouncing in his seat.
"Emma!" Elena yelled and hugged her cousin. "This is a nice surprise."
"It is for me too. I'm guessing you and Jeremy were what my mom was talking about." She smiled before Jeremy walked outside.
"I have so much to tell you." She smiled, looking at her.
"Em, we're going to be at the hotel not far from here. I thought it would be nice for you to stay with Elena and Jeremy so you can catch up and she'd have another girl around." Lisa said.
"Thanks." She hugged her family before grabbing her bags and walking inside with Elena leading her to the guest room.
"I say we have a girl's day/night out."
"Let's do it." They watched movies while talking about anything and everything, except the supernatural worlds they both unexpectedly found themselves in while Jeremy left them alone to catch up. Elena moved into Rebekah's old house since the blond didn't live there anymore.
"Any boyfriends?" Elena smirked.
"Yes. At first Ash and I couldn't stand each other before we got closer and started going out. What about you?"
"Matt before we broke up after my parents died. Stefan before we broke up twice. His older brother and I just broke up recently, but I don't think I'm going back to either of them."
"You have your eyes on someone else, too much drama between the two of them or both?"
"Both."
"Ooh. Who is the other guy?"
"Ironically, it's my enemy's noble older brother who's my friend. We've known each other for a couple years and he recently kissed me."
"Nice." She smiled.
"Wanna go to the Grill?" Elena asked the blond who nodded. They left together in the brunette's car before parking and walking in together. Emma looked around and instantly loved the place. They grabbed a table and sat down before hearing a voice.
"Elena!" Caroline's bubbly voice was heard and Elena turned around. "Caroline! Bonnie." She smiled at her friends who briefly looked at the blond before doing a double take due to her striking resemblance to Rebekah.
"This is Emma, my cousin from Australia." Elena smiled, laughing at their reactions.
"Sorry. We thought you were someone else."
"Klaus and Elijah's sister, Rebekah. The former is my enemy while Elijah is the brother I was telling you about."
"Klaus is going to flip his shit when he notices his sister has a doppelgänger." Bonnie said.
"If he comes back to Mystic Falls." Caroline commented.
"Good thing he's in New Orleans." Elena smirked before Emma told them about her two friends who she had to leave behind.
Elena's phone rang and she stared at it, shocked. "It's Elijah. I haven't heard from him since we saw each other in Willoughby." She walked away to answer it while Caroline and Bonnie talked to Emma, the latter sensing something unusual about the Rebekah doppelgänger. Elena came back 10 minutes later. "He's coming back to Mystic Falls."
"I wonder why he's coming back now." Bonnie said.
"You didn't see the way he looked at Elena at the Ball." Caroline smirked.
"Don't remind me about that disaster of a party. I had to meet his bitch of a mother." Elena rolled his eyes.
"Looks like his ex Katherine is nothing except a distant memory." Bonnie smirked.
"Stefan and Damon noticed when you went over to the boarding house with him after getting to know each other." Caroline smirked.
"Anyways," Elena rolled her eyes. "I'm going to show Emma around later. Wanna come over for girls hangout?"
"Duh." Caroline smirked before they ate food and then left the Grill, showing the new blond all the spots they have in town before they went to go shopping and then went to Elena's house, watching movies and talking before sharing embarrassing secrets about themselves. The doorbell rang and she went to get it. No one was there, but there was an envelope on the porch.
"What the hell?" Elena asked as she opened the envelope, looking at the papers in it. "It's a different family tree, but I don't understand why it just suddenly showed up."
"Maybe someone took it." Caroline said, shrugging.
"Elena, you okay?" Emma asked and the other girls almost forgot she was there.
"Yeah. Isobel Flemming and John Gilbert was my bio parents. Miranda and Grayson were my adoptive mom and dad/real aunt and uncle, but might as well be my real ones. Jeremy's my cousin through my adopted parents and Jenna was Miranda's sister. They're all dead now." Elena said, dryly. "Anyways, I just don't understand how this got here."
"Neither do I." Caroline said.
"Uh, guys." Elena said, going pale even more if that was even possible, since she's already a vampire, and was going to say more seconds before they heard a crash from upstairs. "Jeremy, stay in your room." She went upstairs at human speed and opened her bedroom door to find nothing there, except a note on her bed.
Elena, I will make you pay for betraying me.
It wasn't signed, but she had a feeling she knows who it's from.
H20: Just Add Water
Rikki Chadwick was swimming in the water, looking for deep treasures and artifacts for her job. After 15 minutes, she poked her head through the surface, looking for anyone nearby. Once she knew she was in the clear, she got on land and dried off her tail. She felt something pull her in a direction and soon found herself in a small town.
H20: Just Add Water
Cleo was having a swim and found herself in front of the shoreline. She got on land and moved the water out of her tail, so she'd be dried off. She walked around and found herself feeling drawn to go in a certain direction.
H20: Just Add Water
Emma decided to go to the Grill and have breakfast when a girl walked in followed by another. Matt came over to take her order and both girls heard her voice. "Emma?" They asked.
"Cleo? Rikki?" She asked before hugging them.
"How are you?"
"We have a lot of stuff to tell you." Rikki said.
"Where are your lockets?"
"Back home." They both answered together before explaining everything.
"Sounds like you two had it handled without me." She replied.
"We still missed you." Rikki said. "Now I have a job as a diver for priceless artifacts." She smiled, loving what she does.
"Congratulations, Rikki." Emma said, smiling at her friend.
Vampire Diaries
Elena was in the living room still looking over the family tree when she heard a knock at the door. She opened it and saw Elijah, greeting him the same way she did when she saw him in Willoughby.
"I believe we have a little catching up to do." He said, which reminded her of when he saved her from Rebekah the night before the ball.
She let him in and shut the door behind him before going to the kitchen. "Want anything?" She asked, grabbing a mug of the iced tea with blood mixed in it.
"Sure. Anything is good." He replied before she came back in the room a few minutes later. They caught up on everything in their lives.
"What's this?" He asked, looking at the family tree and Elena noticed that a little of it disappeared.
"The family tree I was telling you about, but I don't know what it means." She frowned at it.
"Kol was a witch before we were turned."
"Too bad I can't ask." She replied before she had an idea. Smirking to herself, she looked at him. "I wonder if Bonnie would know."
"I'll drive." They left the house and went to see the Bennett witch.
Elena knocked on the door and waited. Bonnie opened the door and let her in. "It's okay. Trust me." She also let Elijah in at her best friend's assurance. "I was wondering if you knew anything about this Bloodline."
"I can look in my grimoire." She replied before she went to get it. Elena froze and Elijah noticed.
"What is it?" He asked, worriedly.
Before she could answer, a woman appeared in front of them. "I'm Ayana. I know you know me for different reasons," She looked between Elena and Elijah. "but I'm your ancestor." She turned to Bonnie.
"What are you doing here?" Elena asked before she froze for several seconds. After the vision ended, Elena's eyes glowed blue before she started moving again. "Why am I getting visions all of a sudden?"
"I don't know, but what did you see?"
"A wolf. The only ones I know are Klaus and Tyler. This one had blue eyes, white fur and then it turned black before going back to white." Elena said, confused.
Bonnie came back in the room and set the book down, flipping through pages. "Can I see your family tree?" Elena handed it to her and she looked at the name before going back to her grimoire.
"Tatia, doppelgänger ancestor of Elena." A woman who appeared smiled as she stood next to the Bennett ancestor before Bonnie could say anything.
"What are you doing here?" Elijah asked as his eyes never left his first love who looked exactly like the woman who stood next to him, but in different clothes and with a different hairstyle.
"Nice to see you again." She smiled at him as Elena watched and shoved her feelings down, ignoring them. "Elena here is extremely powerful partially because of that bloodline."
"I'm so confused." Elena said, raising an eyebrow as Elijah did the same.
"Most of what I know is for you to figure out, but I will say that you are the only one of your kind given your doppelgänger status as well as your bloodline that is written on that paper." She replied. "On an unrelated note, let's just say that you weren't meant to be with either of your vampire exes and Elijah was never meant to be with me." She and Ayana smirked at each other before turning back to them.
"I wish you would stop being vague." She replied.
"Don't worry, Elena." The older doppelgänger said, briefly turning to Elijah before looking back at Elena. "You're smart and will figure it out."
"I am so tired of everyone choosing what information I can know and what I can't." Her eyes glowed blue with a hint of gold as the wind blew her hair back and made the ground shake. She felt a hand on her shoulder and her eyes instantly went back to their normal color. Elijah stood behind her, looking concerned. Tatia and Ayana smirked.
"I know, but I can't say much more because it's dangerous." The latter frowned.
"So you know all about that bloodline?" Elena asked.
"Yes. It's very old magic." Both of the women disappeared, leaving Bonnie, Elena and Elijah alone.
Elena's phone went off and she answered it before hanging up a few seconds later. "I have to go. Rebekah's waiting on me." She left the house and Elijah went outside, noticing her getting into the car with his sister, happy that his sister had a friend.
The Secret Circle
Cassie Blake was spending time with an old friend as they drove through town. They went to Java Brew and walked in, giving their orders to one of Cassie's co-workers. "So, does it feel different without us?"
"Yeah. I missed you guys." She smiled. "How long are you in town?"
"Indefinitely, I can't wait for us to hangout." She smiled. "Any boyfriends?"
"I only had one that counted, but I deserve better than him and my almost boyfriend." She explained everything without the supernatural world being included. "I'm probably better off being single."
"You deserve better than Adam and Jake." She replied.
"Thanks." Cassie smiled.
"Cassie?" A familar voice asked, making the witch turn around in shock.
A/N: Sorry this is so short and not filled with much action/drama and not much of a cliffhanger, but at least I can say I updated something. FINALLY! I hope you like this chapter and let me know if you have any ideas, thoughts or questions.
I'm slowly trying to figure out how to merge all the universes together since it'll be more than Vampire Diaries/H20 Just add water/The Secret Circle. Do you think this story sounds canon so far or not? Is there anything I can do better? I'm also trying to figure out how to decide how much information is given in one scene/chapter since I don't want to give too much/too little away at once and have you guys lost interest.
See you next time.
