Hey Readers! It's good to be back! Ok so I first want to say how awesome it is for Vivziepop to have her a streaming sight! I am very happy for her.
That being said, while I am loving the series so far (wish it would stop speeding up!), there are some factors of the plot clashes with my own story.
And spoilers now; is that an angel was killed during the extermination. And number 2; that no one in Heaven knows about the extermination other then the exorcists and Sara.
I had already updated my first chapter before episode 6 came out, adding Adam in the picture. I am not fixing the trial.
Now my original plan (which I'm still sticking with) is that since Miranda is a former angel and wheels only thing that can kill a sinner, I thought it be fitting that she would use it against the angels who come after her.
I still like the idea that Miranda is the only Overlord who can kill angles, but thanks to episode 1, I think I can dance around the main plot of the series.
BIG WARNING RIGHT NOW: this chapter gets pretty violent and bloody. I took some inspiration from Prime's other cartoon Invincible.
Alright, hope that makes some sense and I hope you enjoy!

DING DONG! DING DONG!
"That's the bell everyone! Our time is up! Gather all your shit and head back to the tower!" Adam cheered through his loud speakers as his little hovercraft flew over the Pride Ring. The dozens of exorcists retrieved their last spears from bloody corpse, whom they showed no mercy to.
Among the group, Miranda stared down at the body of her last sinner before the timer went off. Their face forever frozen in fear, as their blood splattered her uniform. She felt numb, her mind laser-focus on her job, with no emotion. It was the same thing every year. And while it had been this why for thousands of years and there were hundreds of exorcists before her, who didn't question there duty. The angel felt... off. This thing inside her core kept creeping up, like a irritating rash what wouldn't completely go away.
"Do your job."
"You're doing this for the greater good."
"No it's not murder, you're putting them to rest."
"It's so they don't suffer~."
Her boss always had some kind of excuse whenever she start questioning the Extermination Day. Her comrades would say she was "overanalyzing it".
'I tried... for 70 years...' She griped her spear tight, till her knucks turned white. Her heart, which had been still, was picking up speed as her frustration started bubbling to the surface, 'Why can't I just destroy these emotions that eat away at me..?'
A quiet sound of whimpering brought her attention back, looking down the street she saw frighten sinners that had backed themselves against a wall. They all huddled together, tears running down their faces, looking at the crooked smile mask that she covered her true face with.
For a quiet moment, Miranda just stood, staring at them with her spear still dripping blood. While sinners forms were mutated monsters that were suppose to resemble their sin, some angels were able to keep their past forms. The two afterlife creatures both shared the same thing in common; they were all once human.
She had a thought, it wasn't a... good one, and just hours ago she would have dismissed it. But just for a moment, what if... she went over to them? What if, she tried talking to them, not as the killer the saw her, but maybe... as eq-.
"LET'S GO BITCHES! Miranda! Move that hot ass of your!" Her mentor's shouting halted the action she might have taken.
Taking one last look at the frighten sinners, the angel turned around and headed back to the tower on foot. Watching her comrades fly through the red sky. the streets were dead, those who were able to escape the exorcists were all hiding away in building or trash bins waiting until every angel was back in the tower they came from.
Miranda carefully walked around the fresh bodies scattered around the road, not wanting to step on them. She felt that, it was at least humane. Laugher and jokes were thrown around in the sky by the other exorcists, some at her for walking back. She paid no mind to them, lone-wolf of the group, despite being Adam's lieutenant.
But she didn't care, she liked being alone, not like she could relate to anyone, even after the decades in the afterlife she still felt like an outcast. Not on purpose, even the seraph angels tried to make her happy new life. It was nice for a while, she didn't have the worries or struggles in her past life. Maybe it was just that she always had a miserable life, that even in Heaven, she couldn't bring herself to be happy?
It wasn't until Adam approached her and offered her the job. And for a long time, Miranda thought she had finally found a purpose in life. Her mind was like an arrow, always aiming at her mission: to be the best. And that is what she accomplished. She was the most deadly exorcists Adam had ever had, going so far as to making her into his lieutenant. She had everything she needed, and yet... she still felt empty.
Miranda sighed out, massaging the bridge of her nose through her mask. Her heart had not slowed down, her core felt like it was on fire. She needed to calm her nerves before taking the elevator full of rowdy drunk angels back to Heaven.
Taking a deep breath, she started to hum a melody. Looking back up at the sky, the giant pentagram covered the entire sky. It was ominous, but at the same time mesmerizing. Her humming grew, before turning into singing.
~A freak of nature...
Stuck in reality...
I don't fit the picture...
I'm not what you want me to be
Sorry
Under the radar
Out of the system
Caught in the spotlight
That's my existence
You want me to change~ She threw a glare up at Adam's hovercraft ~But all I feel is Strange!
Strange!~
Spinning around like a dancer, she hugging her spear close to her heart. Shutting her eyes close, the burning in her heart blazed. She dragged the sharp end of the weapon through the pavement, making cursives and figure eights.
~In your perfect world...
Sooo Strange!
Straaaange!
I feel so absurd in this life~
Taking another glace up, the last of the exorcists had made it to the tower.
~Don't come closer... in my arms forever you'll be Strange!
Straaange...~
Sighing out her emotions through music, she continued to the tower. Her wings fluttered, lifting just inches of the ground, as she continued her dancing mid-air.
~You want to fix me
Push me
Into your fantasy
You try to give me
Sell me
A new personality~
She scoffed at the idea, they were all such dumbass chauvinistic pigs. None of them could relate to her, overzealous.
Leaping up, Miranda grasped a lamppost, spinning around it, and her hugged her form close.
~You try to lift me
I don't get better
What's making you happy
Is making me sadder...~
But why though? Why does she overthink her job? Starting to see sinners as the humans they once were? The more she tried to rationalize, it was like her inner self was trying to save hers for being a sheep like the rest of her kind.
~In your golden cage... all I feel is Strange!
Strange!
In your perfect world..
Sooo Straaange!
Strange!
I feel so absurd in this life
Don't come closer in my arms forever you'll be Strange!
Strange!
Like me!~
Almost screaming her emotions out, Miranda leaped into the air like a ballerina, planting her feet back on the ground. Wrapping her arms around her form tight, gently spinning around.
~Strange
When you touch me
Strange
When you kill me
Strange
All I feel is
STRANGE!~
Throwing her head to the sky staring up at the little white planet in the sky that was Heaven. Taking deep breaths, to calm her heart.
~In my dreams too together we'll be
Strange...
Strange...
In a perfect world...~
Miranda reached out her hand, fingers curling around it like a glowing ball in her palm. Sighing out the last bit of chaos swimming inside her. It was all she could do..
But as she was about to start walking again, she notice something in the middle of the road.
Raising her brow, she carefully walked towards the small item. It was round, bright red with a shine to it. The exorcist then narrowed her eyes under her mask, seeing the cursed thing. It was an apple. Miranda scanned the area, feeling someone's eyes on her. She knew it was planted there for her. And she new only one being who could have left it.
The angel looked back down at the shiny crimson fruit, feeling it's temptation. They same temptation that corrupted Eve. She should just leave it alone, keep walking - no fly away. Bury all her emotions back into the pit of her core and let them fester for the rest of the new year. She has job she must uphold. She has control on these negative thoughts... She has the lieutenant, the strongest and most skilled exorcist. She was... still broken.
Growling low, before shouting in anger, she threw her spear at the apple, splitting it perfectly in two. Miranda took deep breaths, she felt like a volcano ready to erupt with a side of herself she hadn't seen, since she was human.
Miranda took a deep breath, walking over a retrieve her spear. She side-glanced at the severed apple, eyes glowing...
Loud music blared through the door when Miranda opened it. Inside, a big banner hung on the ceiling, reading "HAPPY 1900!". Exorcists were popping champagne bottles and eating all kinds of fancy party food.
Getting her composer in check, Miranda walked past the crowed, heading to the lady's room to clean up first. She felt the elevator moved under her feet, riding back up to Heaven. It would take a while, and everyone wanted to enjoy the New Year. Another century done and over with.
Walking inside the lavish bathroom, she stood in front of one of the sinks, looking at the blood stains on her uniform. Running some warm water, she rested her weapon against the wall, and washed her gloved hands first, before taking off the helmet, finally letting her hair down. With a few splashes of water on her face, patting herself dry, her shoulders finally relaxed, listening to nothing the dripping sound from the sink.
But it was short lived when an angel burst through the room and quickly rushed into a stall to vomit. Miranda saw the familiar blond hair; it was Paschar.
"I'm sorry-! There was a li-!" He couldn't finishing from all the barf coming out.
Miranda exhaled from her nose, grabbing her spear leaving before she could smell it.
Unfortunately, there was no quiet place to sit in the lounge area. The irritated angel wormed her way through her chatty and dancing comrades, eyeing the only empty sofa closet to the doors.
"Hey Miranda~!" Came a loud slurry howler. Keeping herself from cringing, she turned to see Tabbris wobble over, bottle in hand. His helmet was off, showing how red in the face he was, "How-ya doin' to- toniiiight~?"
"We're not even 10 minutes in and your already hammered?" Miranda raised her brow, clearly unamused.
"Ooh! You're so mean!" He attempted to throw his arm around her, but she step away, watching him try to keep his balance, "You always have your resting bitch-face on... I bet you'd look even cuter if you'd smile for once~."
"It's hard to smile when there's nothing enjoyable." She shrugged his comment off.
"Now, don't be like that Miranda," James walked over, holding two glasses of champagne, "Come on! Enjoy the New Year!" He smiled, handing her the glass before she could decline it. Miranda looked at her reflection in her bubbly liquid.
"Miranda! Come join us!" Kathleen called her other to the buffet table, "We're having sashimi! Adam went all out again."
The angel let out a tired sigh, she wanted off the ride now. Everyone knew she wasn't the most social angel, why are they trying to interact with her?
"Why don't you put your weapon in the storage room like the others?" Stephanie asked, walking over to the forming group (that Miranda was trying to leave).
"I like to keep it with me at all times." Miranda stated, looping her elbow around her spear as she held it to her side.
"I heard Adam had it specially made for you~." The girls giggled. They weren't wrong, she was the only exorcist with a double spear. To this day she didn't know why Adam always gave her special treatment. When was the pervert gonna take a hint?
"Hey Tabbris! Did you beat your record this year?!" One of the guys asked, as more angels gathered around to listen.
The drunk buffoon chuckled, lifting his nose with pride, "321!" Wowing everyone at the high number.
Miranda tighten her grip on the glass, taking a glance at the dial on the wall. Why is it taking so long?
"-Miranda?" A sudden voice called her. Snapping her head back, she saw Tabbris and his gaggle of friends all eyeing her with curiosity, "We're all taking numbers, we want to know yours?"
"...I don't keep count." Quickly avoiding the question. She traced her finger around the rim of her glass, trying to focus on something else other then her burning core acting up again.
Kathleen snorted, "Yeah right, Adam loves going off on your record."
"Well, if that is what he wishes instead of coming down here to get his hands dirty for once." Miranda took a jab at their boss, making everyone oooh.
"Wasn't your first extermination kill count 666?" Stephanie raised her brow with a smirk.
"Damn! Way to throw that number in their faces?" Everyone laughed at James' joke. Miranda's glass was starting to crack under her grip.
"Just to see them beg for their sad pathetic lives gets me off..." Tabbris grinned, throwing his bottle of champagne in the air, "Sorry man! You had your chance and you fuck it up!" Everyone laughed.
The cracking got louder, but no one noticed.
Tabbris, drunk out of his mind, was on a winning high and soaked in the attention. He went on, "If anything we're doing this sorry cunts a favor! How does it feel getting stabbed by a god!" Everyone cheered the idiot on.
Her nerves finally snapped like cord.
Glass was heard shattering, and a swipe of gold came directly at Tabbris' chest. A stinging pain knocked the wind out of him, eyes bulging out, he looked down; why was there a spear in his chest? He lifted his shaky head; why was Miranda pointing her spear in his chest? A tiny trail of blood spilled from his mouth, unable to breath. Time seem to stop as everyone looked in horrid shock. Miranda felt her core heat up, her face with no emotion or remorse for what she was about to commit.
"I guess like that?" She said, pulling out from his chest before swinging at his face, slicing half his head off. Everyone was quiet, watching Tabbris' head splat the floor, ruining the carpet.
Screams filled the air, the music cut out. Some exorcist were about to snap out of it, glaring at the murder angel, "What the fuck have you done!" James was the first to act, grabbing his spear he aimed for her head. But Miranda was more skilled then him and everyone else in the elevator. Shielding herself with her wing, she deflected his weapon, and stabbed hers in his throat. Gold blood gushed out his mouth and neck, splattering on her. Choking on his own blood, James' body fell backwards sliding off her spear.
More began to act, grabbing every weapon they had available. One came up from behind Miranda, not turning around, She lunged her spear backwards, hitting the assentation in the skull. Using all her strength she threw the body over her, and use it as a shield when other's attempted to slice her in front. Once the body was starting to fall apart, Miranda flared her wings up and pushed off the ground, using the body to push back two more angels. They collided into the wall, before getting impaled by her spear pushing through their stomachs.
The psychopathic angel, pressed her boot of the first corpse and pulled her spear clean off the shish-kabob. Turning around she saw Kathleen shielding herself with her spear, shaking like a leaf. With little effort, Miranda twirled her double spear like a piton, striking the angel on the side of her head with the bulk of the blade. Her skull caved in, and she went down instantly.
Bringing her sharp-end like a gavel down on one exorcists hand, they screamed, before getting kicked in the jaw, their neck snapped.
Screams, blood splatters and bodies dropping echoed the lounge. It lasted for only a few moments, though it felt like hours, and then silence. Miranda narrowed her glowing eyes at Stephanie, who was trying to get a firm grip on her spear that was inside her stomach, half her skull had been caved in already. The psychopathic angel watched her struggle as her bloody hands slipped off. With all her strength, she pulled her spear up, Stephanie's flesh ripped and her organs fell out, the body went flying backwards hitting the pile.
Miranda stared down at her comrades; body parts were sprawled about, their budging's, tear-filled eyes didn't waver any guilt she might have had. She was covered from head to toe in their gold blood, the carpet couldn't soak it all.
"So much for cleaning up." Miranda looked down at her bloody hand holding the staff of her spear. They were trembling, her heart was pounding, and she was out of breath. This feeling... it was very different from killing sinners. That darkness inside her had finally exploded.
The elevator finally came to a stop, the dial dinged. Miranda turned around and blinked at a figure hugging the wall next to the doors: Paschar. He must have stayed in the restroom the hole time, and by the look of horror on his face, he saw everything.
The doors opened, bright light shined inside gold soaked room. Sweat was poring off his face, with his eyes dilating, watching her movement. Grasping the edge of the door, he opened his wing a flew like a rocket out.
Miranda was finally left alone. She sighed, "Shit..." Taking another glance at the bodies, there was no way she could hide this anyway.
Reaching behind her wing, she pulled out something she should have left alone. The half piece of the sinful apple. The shine off the fruit reflected her face, covered in blood. Her blue eyes glowed back at her, "There's no going back after this..." Muttering her final words of freedom, she took a bite.
December 31st 1901
It was difficult for Adam to rebuild his army of exorcists in only a year; not only did he lose numbers of some of his best workers, but he lost his lieutenants. And knowing she was now roaming freely in that wasteland, in whatever new form, sent a chill down his spine. As much as he craved revenge on the bitch, he knew first hand what she was capable of (the carpets were still not completely clean). So he ordered all his exorcists, that no matter what happens down there: do not go near her.
Paschar fully retarred after the genocide. The message Miranda left him would haunt him for the rest of his afterlife. If he went down there, it be like sending a lamb to the slaughter house. He didn't care if he was labeled a pussy from Adam, better a coward then dead.
The new recruits were young, and not very experienced. They didn't have to be when killing sinners.
Two young exorcists hovered over the Pride Ring, eyes scanning the ground, "Do you see her?" One asked his friend.
"No..."
"I-I don't want to go down there, man..." The young exorcist trembled, hugging his spear close. The rest of their comrades were already killing sinners, screams echoed upwards.
"Look, we don't even know if she's alive after a year, so lets just - get this fuckin' over with and get out of here." His friend glared through his mask. Spear pointing downward, he headed below, with his nervous friend right behind him.
"S-So... what sinner do you think she turned into?"
"Clod- dude, stop it! All right, you're freakin' me out!"
But as they got closer to the city, they felt a chill go up their spines, "Marcus! Did you feel that?" Clod halted in mid air, looking all around the sky, "Something's here!"
Marcus stop as well. His friend was right, something was watching them. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, something came flying up at them. He quickly dodged it, watching it go up, before dropping back down. Reaching his hands out, he caught the round item, but now he wished he didn't.
It was a head of one of the exorcist of their squad.
"What the fuck!" Clod screamed backing up, as Marcus could only stare into it's open eye. What did this? Sinners can't... kill angels...
The light above them suddenly darkened, their skin prickled with goosebumps, afraid to see what it was. The two exorcists nervously looked up at the figure that loamed over them. Four raven-black wings spread out like a backdrop to the owner of them.
The gorgeous v-neck gown hugged her body, with off the shoulder long sleeves, the skirt past her legs in double-slits flowing. Black tights and knee-high black heel boots poked out from the skirt, and resting on her shoulders, two flowy drapes as long as her dress.
The two exorcists trembled at the sight of her, and the color of her gown.
"G-Gold..."
"Like... the color of our blo-" Clod couldn't finish his last words, as a spear flew at his eye. His friend gaped, watching the body plummet to the ground.
Dropping the head he was still holding, Marcus attempted to fly away, trying to put as much distance as possible from the former angel. But he didn't even get 100 feet from her. Like a fantom, she appeared in front of him, blocking his escape. Staring down with yellow eyes, she lifted her right hand above her head, her double spear magically returning.
The halo lifted off her devil horn, it grew and large looking like a crown over her head. The exorcist pointed his weapon at her, not sure if he was prepared for what was about to happen.
Finally, she spoke, "Oh Lord, please watch over me, and grant me your power to protect my homeland against these intruders." Her halo glowed bright, opening her wings wider, 6 more spears manifested by her sides, pointing directly at the angel. Her eyes glowed yellow, pupils turned into slits, reeling her hand back, her weapon like a javelin, "Amen." Throwing it.
The exorcists could do nothing but watch as 7 spears flew towards him. It was painful and at the same time, he felt nothing. They penetrated right through his body, leaving massive holes , till there was nothing left but a bloody mess.
The Fallen Angel watched the body fall from the sky, making a horrible splattering sound when it hit the rooftop of a building. Her halo shrunk back down, and looped around her horn again. The 6 extra spears vanished into air.
Miranda gracefully flew back down to land, landing where the body had hit.
"That was gruesome." A suddenly beautiful voice came from behind her. Miranda looked over her shoulder, seeing two silver eyes shining through a dark shadow, "Don't you think you went a little too... violent?"
"They show no mercy, so why should I show it to them," The Fallen Angel turned back to now dead exorcist, pulling her main spear out of the head.
The shadow chuckled, before taking shape of a woman; long flowing blonde hair, horns curing behind her head and wearing a purple dress, "It always amazes me how calm you are when being sadistic."
"I can't let my anger get the better of me, not again. I'm shocked I was able to survive that fight, despite being out numbered," Miranda fully turned to look at the demon woman and gave a slight head bow, "Queen Lilith."
Her black lip smiled, "You need not to be so formal with me Miranda. I've known you for a year now."
"I guess this dose mark out first anniversary of meeting." She was referring to the apple that was left for her. The two demons looked over the horizon of the town; watching building burn and exorcists hunting poor sinners. Miranda glanced at the Queen of Hell, she didn't like seeing her friend sad, "You shouldn't be out here, if one of those bastards were to spot you-"
"I can handle myself Miranda, thank you." Lilith stopped her lecturing, before turning to the black-winged sinner, "It's you, I'm worried about."
Miranda simply shrugged it off, "Knowing Adam for almost a century, I suspect that he told his recruits not to engage in combat. It takes years to train talented exorcists, he doesn't want to lose that number again."
"DEMON ANGEL!" A booming voice screamed down below the streets. The two demon ladies looked, seeing a three exorcists point their weapons at them, glaring through their masks, "atons for your sins!"
"How 'bout no." Miranda frowned, looking unamused. Lilith tried to withhold a chuckle, she was always so serious.
"Get ready bitch!" The first one flew towards the Fallen Angel, spear pointing for her heart. But with a flick of her wrist, Miranda swiped her spear, cutting off their body in half. She opened one of her wings, shielding Lilith of any blood that might splatter on her.
"Show off." The Queen smirked.
The remaining two angels gaped as both parts their comrade's body landed at their feet, "YOU CUNT!" The charged for her.
Lilith gently pushed Miranda's shielding wing down, taking a few steps forward, her eyes shined sliver. The exorcists froze in mid-air, with petrified faces, the lights from their faces faded, and they dropped like files.
"Look who's the show off now." Miranda threw her friends comment back. She took notice of near by angels quickly flying away from them, not wanting to die.
"The crowding has gotten worse." Lilith looked over the horizon.
"I wouldn't be, if Heaven wasn't such a judgmental prick." Miranda frowned her brows together, looking up at the white planet, "Why did I ever think that place was paradise."
Her friend gently laid a hand on her tense shoulder, relaxing her, "At the time, it was for you." She was referring to life back on Earth, which if Miranda was honest, more of a Hell then actual Hell.
She sighed, holding her hand. Miranda took notice of the familiar hovercraft flying over the city, with a white flag on it's roof, "He's looking for me." Narrowing her eyes.
"You don't have to amuse him. He's not worth your time."
"I know. But, maybe his minions will get off my back if I do this." Miranda let go of Lilith's hand, stepping over to the edge of the building, "You should head back inside, I'll visit you later." The Fallen Angel turned back to her friend, before spreading her four wings and taking off towards the tower.
Miranda landed in front of the golden building, staring at the giant clock as it kept ticking away. There was still a few more minutes before the extermination was over. Opening the door, the first thing she took notice was carpet still had stains on it.
Walking up to the front desk, she rang the bell and gold scroll of Heaven Embassy flew in front of her face. Rolling her eyes, she signed the paper, watching it fly back up disappearing. The office door opened, and for a moment she was hesitated. What if this was an ambush? Corner her in a small room, and block any chance of escape. She wouldn't put it past them. Miranda took in her surroundings, seeing if she could sense anyone. Everything was quite. exhaling through her nose she walked inside the dark room.
"Adam," She called, yellow eyes shining in the dark, she tucked her wings around her body, prepared to shield herself, "I know you're here. Maybe this time for once you can show yourself in the flesh and not hide like a massive pussy."
"Geez, there is no humoring you, hu?" The lights turned on, and the leader of the exorcists appeared on the end of the table. Miranda narrowed her eyes at his shit-eating grin, "Sup' Miranda?" He was about to make a comment, when he finally took a good look at her new form, "Damn! That looked like it hurt."
"And yet, you still get off by me." The Fallen Angel place her hand on her hip, not amused.
He chuckled, though it seem more embarrassed then cocky, being called out by the third most attractive woman who declined him, "I see your bitchy attitude hasn't changed. How've you been?" Leaning over the table he extended his hand out to her.
Miranda frowned, not glancing down at his hologram hand, "You can cut the bullshit, I know you still don't have balls to face me in person."
"Ouch, still a cold hard bitch." Adam cockily grinned at the Fallen Angel.
"You called me here, so let's get on with it." Miranda crossed her arms, both their yellow eyes glowed at the others, "You want me to stop killing your recruits?"
"No, I want you invite you to my next barbecue - what the fuck do you think I want?!" Adam finally drop the smug-prick attitude, showing off his real anger he had been holding in since the trail.
"I wouldn't have cracked their skulls open if they weren't looking for a fight. I have to defend myself somehow~." Miranda lazily rolled her eyes, while twirling her spear between her fingers like a piton.
"Ah- you cunt! You ruined it!" Adam fumed, looking at the once beautiful solid-gold spear now a mirror image of her demon form.
"Really? I think it's an improvement." The Fallen Angel threw a quick smirk at the red-face angel, before going back to business, "And it seems that everyone, including you, have forgotten that I was the number one exorcist. 666, my lucky number."
The angel gritted his teeth, "Look, I can't keep losing my recruits just because they seek revenge-."
"Then tell them to back off." Miranda spread her wings out, black feathers blew around, her halo glowed over her head, as she glared at the horned angel, "Back off from me and my territory."
"You want us to pull back on the East side of the pentagram?! That's like taking an entire contrary!" Adam argued back. The Fallen Angel took steps closer to him, even as a hologram, he feel they power she now had.
Dragging her spear on the ground, ripping the carpet, Miranda had inches against Adam who shrank in his seat. After staring with murderous intent, she relaxed her glare, tilting her head back slightly.
"You know Adam, after all the bullshit you put me through. I really should thank you."
Adam blinked, "You what?" Straightening his spine.
Turning to the side, she held the end of the spear to her face, staring with captivity. "Even when I Heaven living in peaceful bliss, I still felt out of place. No one understood me, a was simply a object to show how wonderful Heaven is. It was when you recruited me and I came down to Hell that I realize what the real problem in this universe was…" She trailed her finger down the blade, letting a drop of copper blood leak.
Adam's frown deepened, as she basically told him that it was his fault of creating this monster. He stared at the blood; not angels but not fully a sinners, she was in between. Hard to argue that there's only black and white when she is literally the embodiment of grey.
"The choice is yours Adam," Miranda looked back, "You either call off your twats, or I even the battlefield."
The Angel curled his fists tight, he was never one to back down from a challenge, especially from a damn sinner. But, this was his former lieutenant; she could take just as many exorcists as they do sinners.
"…. Augh FINE!" Throwing in the towel, "You will be targetless now, happy?"
"I want it in writing." With a snap of her fingers, a black contract appeared in front of Miranda, pushing it in Adam's face.
The Angel frowned his brows together, quickly reading over it. He knew about Overlord contracts and if he was not careful she could own his soul (though he wasn't sure if that was terrifying or hot).
"You swear on your cursed soul you'll fuck off? I am trying to run a business here." Adam glanced at the towering demon.
"As long as your minions don't start pointing spears my way, and don't step foot in any of my territories. I won't roll heads around."
"Fine whatever." Lifting his finger up using it as a pen, he signed his name on the contract, "Just as long as I never have to see your fucked face ever again."
"Oh, this is far from the last you'll see of me Adam." Miranda rolled up the black paper and crushed it in her fist making it disappear. "I still have vermin to eradicate." Turning to finally leave.
"Crazy bitch…" Adam muttered out loud.
"Oh and one last thing," She turned back with an unamused look, "No one will ever call you dick master, not with your micro-penis." With that final fuck-you, she left, leaving his jaw hanging.
Miranda pushed though the doors, walking down the street that was half on fire. Screams echoed through the city, as angels flew through the air, now avoiding her like the plague.
It was done. She didn't have to deal with pesky angels pointing weapons at her head.
But it was not that simple.
She wasn't satisfied yet. She still had someone on her black list. She spent all evening looking for that blonde prick. But, she guessed he wouldn't show, not after her threatening him.
"You can only hide behind those golden gates for so long…" Miranda narrowed her eyes up at Heaven.
Her hunger for blood was brought back down as she started thinking of her friend, no doubt waiting for her return. If she hadn't saved her from herself that day, her soul would have crumbled into dust and be nothing but a hollow shell.
Miranda glanced down and placed her hand on her chest, feeling her heart beat with warmth. If Lilith saved her soul from that fake paradise. Of course it sounded backwards, and survival in Hell was hard. But she survived living, she can conquer her afterlife. She made her choice and had no regrets.
Squeaking her fist tight, taking a final look to the sky. She will get her revenge…
And maybe, if she was feeling ballsy. Take Heaven down with her…
