The Specter Family Chronicles
Chapter Twenty-Seven: A Birthday, A Secret Wedding
And Family Matters
April 5th, 2018
Harvey's Birthday
Morning/Afternoon
Pearson, Specter, Litt
Manhattan, New York
Harvey had been woken this morning by Mike blowing him. It's their 'birthday tradition'. For the first time in years, Harvey has been excited by the prospect that it's his birthday. He has a gorgeous fiancée, and amazing family and friends. Which is why when he had arrived at the firm, and to his office, he noticed some presents, and card sitting on the glass conference table in the corner of the room. There was a warmth inside him that bloomed, and when Donna walked in, carrying coffee, some files, and a gift, smiling at him, he knew it was going to be a good birthday. Mike had apparently been "planning something". Over the years, Mike has gotten good at keeping secrets, and sneaking around. It's all that time he spends talking to Donna, Helena, and Molly. So even Harvey's attempts to "seduce it" out of him, had failed. He has used every sex move in the book, but Mike didn't spill anything, although neither of them minded the heightened sex life they were both experiencing. He decided he'll leave the gifts for later and sits down at his desk to begin working. Just as he's opened his laptop, Jessica enters the room, smiling and wishing him a 'happy birthday', adding a gift and card to the pile. He thanks her with a grin, and then asks her what he's been assigned for today. Jessica reminds him of the Associate Plunge, which means that Mike (still being an associate) must spend the whole day in the library sorting out books that had been shuffled around and misplaced. That means that he isn't going to see his fiancée until lunch. Jessica took as seat on the other side of Harvey's desk, placing her hands in her lap. She looked up at him and asked if they had figured out what Mike is going to do about his Junior Partner nomination. He saw Donna step out from behind her desk, and pull the door to his office closed, before returning to her spot. Jessica had been given the nomination sheets, and there were three Senior Associates on there who could essentially get the promotion this year, but that Alex Moore, is pushing hard on his bid for Mike. Harvey sighed, running his hands through his hair. Any chance of rigging the ballet would be impossible, without informing tech of what they're doing, and Benjamin isn't the sharpest (or most trustworthy) tool in the kit. Jessica was sitting quietly, watching Harvey as he tried to come up with an idea, then they both heard Donna's voice over the intercom stating that they should both 'upvote someone else'. As much as Harvey hates the idea of betraying Mike like that, Donna has a point.
He knew that the partner meeting to vote for the new Junior Partner was happening tomorrow, and he and Jessica both agreed to upvote one of the other Associates, so that Mike wouldn't come under suspicion. If they can get Louis on their side, then they at least have three, and it kills Harvey to not be able to vote for Mike, because he would love to see his fiancée soar, and have everything that he deserves, but that also puts them in more danger. It just sucks. Finally, when lunch rolled around, Mike showed up in his office. He asked why Harvey hadn't opened any of his gifts or cards, and the older lawyer had just replied with a shrug. He was in the middle of an important email and made that known to Mike. He was about to finish the email, and send it, when he felt his belt being loosed, his button and zipper being opened, and then Mike's hand reaching into his briefs and taking ahold of his dick. He looked down at his fiancée, who just smirked, then licked his stick, before taking it in his mouth. Harvey gasped at the feeling, and in the back of his mind he had remembered somewhere that he had made it clear to Mike that under no circumstances, were they ever having sex at work. Of course, they had broken that before, but that was in the storage closet, or the file room, never in his open office, with Donna standing at her desk. The blinds were still closed from this morning, and the door had been shut, obviously when Mike entered the room. He looked down to see Mike's reddened lips, head bobbing up and down, pupils fully dilated, and he wanted to thrust up into the heat of Mike's mouth, especially when he noticed that Mike had his own dick in his hand and was jerking himself, and he really wanted to take Mike, but he lost his train of thought, throwing his head back, running a hand through Mike's hair, messing it up, pulling on it… best birthday ever… he thought to himself, and he was so close… so close to the edge… then he felt something hard hit him, and he opened his eyes and realised that he had fallen asleep on the couch in his office, and had rolled off and onto the floor. He could feel the sticky mess in his pants, and groaned… it had been a dream? To make it worse, he'd fallen asleep at work… in the middle of the day. A few moments later, the door to his office opened, and Mike stuck his head in, smiling.
'Hey babe, you're awake,' Mike said walking over to him, and sitting beside him on the couch
'Yeah…apparently. Why the hell did I fall asleep at work?' Harvey asked, and noticed Mike glancing down at his crotch
'I don't know, you came back from your meeting and dozed off. I didn't have the heart to wake you. Did you have a nice dream about me?' Mike whispered in Harvey's ear, motioning to the tent in his pants
'Yes… it was quite pleasant, until I hit the floor. I was hoping you might be able to help me out with this,' Harvey said, and Mike just raised an eyebrow, but got on his knees anyway, because it's Harvey's birthday and he's horny.

Harvey's Birthday "Party"
Evening
The Condo
Manhattan, New York
Donna had organised a birthday "party" for Harvey. Okay, so it's mostly just them and their friends at the condo, having drinks and watching movies, but Harvey is more than okay with that. He would've preferred it to be just him and Mike, but he has nothing against the current plan. Donna is pouring herself and Rachel some wine, and shouting something to Mira, Alex's wife, who was on the other side of the condo, talking with Jessica and another friend of theirs from work, Daisy. Mike was curled up to Harvey on their sofa, whilst they watched the madness unfold. Harvey had brought all of his gifts and cards home with him and promised that he would open them in front of everyone. Mike had given him the most special gift of all though, he had said yes to marrying him. Donna is in the process of planning their engagement party. Apparently, it's going to be in two weeks, and they've booked out the ballroom at the Plaza Hotel. Donna promised that she would handle everything and had asked Rachel to help her out. It's easier than trying to get Helena on the phone, because his sister is a busy woman. Mike had been so thrilled at the idea of hosting their engagement party at the Plaza Hotel, and he was glad that Donna was planning it, because then he wouldn't have to explain to anyone else why he had no immediate family members there. Donna already knew. Jessica had put some music on, and was sitting in the corner of their sofa, chatting with Mira about something, whilst Alex had made his way over to where Mike and Harvey were seated. They began a conversation about how it was the first year that Harvey had even acknowledged his birthday, and Mike made a comment about there being 'more than one reason', then he hi-fived Alex, and jumped up from the sofa, before Harvey could tickle him as punishment. He headed over to the bar, and grabbed another drink, also pouring one for Harvey. As he was returning to his fiancée and Alex, he heard Jessica and Louis, they had gone into the study and were talking in a loud whisper, that anyone walking past could hear, but Mike didn't hang around to listen, all he heard was something about Jessica 'upvoting against him' for the position of Junior Partner. I guess they came up with a solution… Mike thought to himself, and he reached Harvey and handed the glass of scotch to his fiancée. To be honest, he doesn't even feel like drinking the beer he has in his hand right now. He just wants to go to bed.
It was just after midnight when everyone left, Harvey thanking them for coming, for the cake, and the gifts, promising that he wouldn't "regift" any of them, like has done in years past. Mike was in the kitchen tidying things up, not expecting the arms that wrapped around his waist, or the warm breath against his ear and neck as Harvey whispered dirty things to him. Mike pointed out that his birthday had been over for fifteen minutes, but that didn't deter the closer, as he picked Mike up, and threw him onto their bed, straddling his waist, grinding their hips together in teasing. Mike moaned, then felt his wrists being restrained, and before he could protest, Harvey had tied him to the bed, whispering dirty things in his ear again. As he unbuttoned the shirt Mike was wearing, he kissed the skin that was being revealed, inch by inch, sucking on a nipple, biting down his chest, stopping at the waistband of his jeans. He'd gone neat casual, it was their house, and he wanted to be comfortable, but now he's thinking maybe he should've worn a belt, because the access that his fiancée has…. It's way too easy. Harvey unclipped the button, and unzipped Mike's pants, palming his bump over the fabric, kissing Mike at the same time, then he pulled away, and pulled Mike's jeans and briefs off in one motion, letting the half hard dick, spring free, interested in what Harvey was about to do. All the dirty things that he kept whispering in his ear, they were swimming around in Mike's head. He felt the lust pooling low in his stomach, and that was making him hard. Harvey gave him a show as he got naked, and Mike wriggled himself on the bed, trying to get something…anything. His dick is aching… it needs to be touch, fucked… something. He just wants Harvey to …oh fuck yes that… he thought to himself, arching his back off the bed as Harvey got his mouth on him finally. Mike fought the urge to thrust up into Harvey's mouth. It was a losing battle. He desperately wanted to. He was about to ask Harvey to hurry up, when his boyfriend stopped, pulled away and got off the bed. Mike whined… like a child, looking curiously at Harvey as he returned with a strip of fabric, only to then realise that he's about to be blindfolded. Mike smirked, raising his head so that Harvey could tie it around his eyes, then he felt all the sensations happening to his body at once, now that he can't see anything… it makes it more… heightened.
'Tell me you love me Mike,' Harvey whispered, lips near enough to touch with his own
'I love you Harvey,' Mike replied, hearing the hum of approval, as the hand trailed lower
'Tell me you want me… beg for it,' Harvey said, and this is something only in their little games that he would ask Mike to do, but he saw the smirk on the younger man's face, before he started moaning and begging
'Harvey… I want you… please baby. Fuck me. God, I want you… I need you. Fuck me,' Mike said, cut off when Harvey kissed him again

Marcus and Renee
Las Vegas, Nevada
"The Secret Wedding"
Marcus had met his girlfriend Renee about six months ago, before Christmas. But because she was in California with her family, she couldn't attend the Specter Family Holiday with him last year. This year, she is going to be able to, though right now, Marcus and Renee are probably about to do something that both of their families are going to be angry about. Her father, who had made it clear that he doesn't think very highly of Marcus, had offered him a large sum of cash, to fuck off. He didn't take it, instead choosing to leave with Renee. Whilst the woman loves her parents, she knows that they have expectations, but she has her own dreams, and ambitions, and sure she hasn't known Marcus Specter for all that long. But he's nicer than most of her past boyfriends, and his daughter is adorable. Caroline and Renee get along well. That was one of the main things that Marcus knew had to happen, she had to get along with his daughter. Whilst they might not be one hundred percent sober, they're not drunk enough to forget what happens in the morning, and as they wake up, Renee is curled up to him. They're in their hotel room, and they mostly remember what they did last night. All he knows is that he's happier now than he's ever been before. Sure, his family is going to be pissed with him, but he knows that this is what is right for him, so he knows that eventually, they're going to be happy for them. Last night, he and Renee got married, and sure that sounds cliched like a 'Vegas Wedding', but neither of them was drunk, or pregnant or anything like that. He had listened to all his siblings talk about their relationships, so many times he wished he could find something like that. Katy had been a nightmare, so finding Renee in amongst the madness, was nice. She was his way to slow down and think about things. His mother is going to be pissed that she wasn't there to see her "baby boy" get married, but to be honest, both Marcus and Renee never wanted a "big" wedding. That brings too much stress, too much hassle. He knows that Helena is already helping to plan a big wedding for Mike and Harvey, so that can be the "big Specter Wedding" that his mother dreams about. His phone chimes with a text from Helena, it's telling him the date for Mike and Harvey's engagement party in New York. Renee tells Marcus that she is excited to finally meet his, now hers, family. Marcus replies asking if he can bring a plus one, and smirks when his sister sends him a bunch of emojis and then the text "spill the deets' bro".
For the rest of their time in Vegas, Marcus and Renee work out how they're going to do things. She was living in California, but she has just left her job, and agrees to move to New Haven with Marcus. Although she doesn't know what she's going to do yet, Marcus tells her that they have enough money to live comfortably for a while, so she can take her time and find the right fit. Six months is enough time to really know someone right? Harvey and Mike have only been together for a year, and they're engaged… but they've also known each other for about seven years before they started dating…. Marcus reminded himself of the conversation he'd had with his brother back at Christmas. He doesn't regret marrying Renee the way he did. He never will. He's always been the one to do things differently to all of his siblings, and he knows that they're going to have to tell their families at some point (especially Renee's because her father is going to flip out), he just has to hold off long enough to make it through Mike and Harvey's engagement, before they tell anyone anything. He doesn't want to "steal anyone's thunder", which is something that apparently happened with Helena got married, and Molly and Damien got engaged the week before or something. This isn't a ploy to "steal" anything away from Harvey. He just deserves to be happy, like the rest of his siblings, and this is how he chose to do it. Renee is packing the last of their things into their suitcases. Most of her belongings are in storage, and it's going to cost a fortune to get them sent to Connecticut, but she's willing to do it. The furniture she can sell, they can buy that stuff in New Haven, but her personal belongings, well they're going to be making the long journey to the other side of the country. Marcus is in the process of getting a house built for them. He's helping, in his downtime from work. It's beautiful, right on the lake in New Haven where he lives. It's big enough for the three of them, and for future kids if they choose to have any. As they make their way out of their hotel room, and down to the lobby, Marcus looks at the ring on his left hand, and smiles. It's a genuine smile, and he feels that happiness radiates through his body. He takes his wife's (I can't believe I have a wife) hand as they leave the hotel and head back to the car place. Renee is talking about all the things they can do in their house, how she is going to decorate, and Marcus just kisses her, and tells her he loves her. She smiles, and says it back, and they continue walking.
'How mad is your dad going to be on a scale of one to shot gun?' Marcus asked as they threw their bags in the trunk and walked around to get in their respective sides of the car
'Probably… shot gun,' Renee replied, winking, and smiling
'Shit. I should have gotten that bullet proof vest we saw in the gun shop,' Marcus said
'Don't worry babe. I won't let him kill you, and he won't kill me. I'm his little girl,' Renee replied, pulling out into the traffic as they set off back to California.
April 10th, 2018
Pearson, Specter, Litt
Manhattan, New York
Mike had been waiting to see if he had been chosen to become Junior Partner for most of the day. He knew that the meeting had started at noon, and it's almost three pm. Donna had been in and out of the associate's area, asking him if he'd heard yet, but he just shook his head, and went back to working on the files Louis had left for him. Harvey had been quiet about the whole thing since they had returned to work. Mike had been excited about the prospect of a promotion, so much so, that he had been talking about it nonstop and didn't see the pained look on Harvey's face when they exited the town car this morning. His fiancée had reminded him that 'if he doesn't get it this time, he will eventually', but Mike knew that he was a shoe in. He has Jessica, Harvey, Louis, and Alex all voting for him. Plus, there are several other partners who have recognised the great work that Mike has done, so it shouldn't be a competition, yet there is something niggling in his gut, a feeling, and it has something to do with the conversation he heard between Jessica and Louis at Harvey's "party". He didn't mention it, even though the conversation happened in his house meaning that he was entitled to listen. Regardless, he'd left it alone, come to work like normal, and worked his arse off, more so than the other three Senior Associates who were up for the promotion as well. He's just hoping that Greg doesn't get it, he's egotistical enough, you don't need to add Partner to his name. At three-thirty, he saw Harvey heading towards him, but he looked solemn. Mike had a feeling that he wasn't going to like what he was about to hear and was proven right when Harvey told him that they had tried, but the other partners had outvoted them, and had chosen Gretchen. Mike nodded, he liked Gretchen, at least she wouldn't be a pain in the arse, he could tolerate her, and he was clearly taking it better than Greg, who was throwing a tantrum in the associate's area, in front of everyone else. Mike thanked Harvey for letting him know, so desperately wanting to hug him. The older lawyer pulled Mike into a hug, not caring who saw them, and whispered 'sorry' into his ear. Mike smiled slightly, pulled back, and went back to working, whilst Harvey tried to ignore the feeling of guilt in the pit of his stomach. Mike should have been a shoe in. It was his promotion. But he wanted to protect Mike… and the firm… so he'd upvoted Gretchen. He feels horrible about it. Not even voting for his own fiancée. He's feels sick to his stomach.
Donna had thrown more of a tantrum about Mike not getting the promotion than Mike. She had demanded that a recount be done, that Jessica throw out the scores, and do it again, but Harvey had just ignored her. He sat down at his desk, head in his hands. He told Donna what had happened. She was looking at him, tears in her eyes, like he had slapped her (he would never but that was her expression). He tried to spin it as a positive, that it was "better for the firm" that "Mike is safe now" but he knew that was just what he was telling himself. He had betrayed Mike. He had listened to Jessica and had betrayed the man that he loves, and don't get him wrong. Gretchen is fantastic, he's worked with her before, and she and Mike get along well, but that doesn't stop the knowing feeling in the back of his head, or the pain he feels in his heart knowing that he has betrayed Mike. Donna has gone silent, she's trying to think of something to say, something to try and justify Harvey's choice, but she can't. He, Jessica, and Louis… they all betrayed Mike. Regardless of whether they had good intentions in doing it, he was still betraying him. Harvey told Donna that Mike had twelve votes, he needed fourteen to get the promotion, and because he, Jessica and Louis didn't vote for him, he stagnated. Alex was also thrown back by the fact that Mike didn't get it, because he thought that Jessica had hand picked him for the promotion. He had gone to the bullpen to talk to his friend but found that he wasn't there. Rachel had found Mike, tucked away in the corner, headphones in his ears, flipping through files. He looked up at her, and she sighed when she saw his eyes were red and puffy. He quickly wiped away the tears and pretended that he was 'fine'. Rachel knew better though, and she walked over to hug her friend, but Mike didn't breakdown with her. He's saving that for Harvey. He did thank her though and invite her to dinner next week. Their engagement party is on the 21st. He's been getting RSVPs since this morning, and eventually just gave up and forwarded everything to Donna's phone so he could get some work done. Mike was so caught up in what he was doing that he'd lost track of time and wasn't aware that it was time to leave until Harvey came to get him at seven-thirty. They left together; Mike waited until they got home before he broke down though. He wasn't going to do it in the car.
'Mike, I'm so sorry baby. You have no idea how sorry I am. It kills me that you didn't get that promotion, because you deserve it so much,' Harvey said, as they walked in the door
'It's fine Harvey. Well okay, it's not because I was kind of excited about it, but…I'm happy for Gretchen. She deserves it as well, and I know that you, and Jessica and Alex did what you could,' Mike said, placing his jacket on the hook, and toeing off his shoes, turning to look at Harvey who'd frozen in place 'what?' he asked
'Mike… I love you. I love you more than anything, including my job. But… Jessica made the choice… to upvote Gretchen. She, Louis and I…we…'
'You didn't vote for me,' Mike said, his face was unreadable, but Harvey nodded, tears pooled in his eyes as he saw Mike retreat from him…
Harvey woke up on the couch, Mike was sitting at their small breakfast bar, drinking coffee, and working on a file. The older lawyer stretched, that couch is not good for his back, and rubbed a hand down his face, and through his hair before standing up. Mike turned to look at him, telling him that there was coffee ready, and toast if he wanted it. It's only six am. They don't have to be at work until eight today, clearly Mike has other ideas though, because he's dressed in a suit, ready to go. Harvey entered the kitchen, pouring himself a coffee and grabbing the toast that Mike had made for him. He knows that Mike has a right to be mad, hell he's mad at himself for listening to Jessica. They could have made it work. Mike could have become Junior Partner, no one would've asked any questions. They might ask questions now, as to why the brightest and best Associate they have, was passed over for Junior Partner, by the three named Partners. Mike didn't say anything as they ate in silence, he was highlighting briefs, something that he'd probably never stop doing. At least Greg can be there and is being passed over along with him, so he can rub that in the man's face. There is a part of Mike… the logical side of his brain… that understands why it had to happen. But just knowing that his own fiancée, the man he's going to spend the rest of his life with… the man who is supposed to support him in every way… didn't vote for him… he just can't get that taste out of his mouth. He does miss having Harvey sleeping beside him, and he does think he's being overdramatic. Mike puts his mug down on the counter, Harvey has his back to him, which gives Mike enough time to move himself, so that when Harvey turns around, all Mike has to do, is pin the man between his body, and the counter. He places his hands either side of Harvey's head, on both of his cheeks, and kisses him, eventually moving so that his arms are wrapped around his lovers' neck, whilst Harvey's come to rest low on his back, holding him close as if he's going to run away again. They just stay that way, kissing for a while, as if they've forgotten how to do it suddenly, then Mike is pulling away to get air, not leaving Harvey's grip though. Harvey pulls Mike into a hug, mumbling sorry over and over into his skin, promising that he does love him, and all those things. Mike kisses him to shut him up, a small smile on his face. He just nods, knowing why he did it, because he loves him.
When they get to work, Mike notices that Donna is ignoring her boss. Rachel meets him at reception and asks if he would like to have lunch with her today, and Harvey kisses his cheek, and tells him that he should go, he hasn't had lunch with Rachel in ages, and he has a meeting anyway. Mike agrees, and the paralegal bounces off to her office, smiling. Louis sees him coming down the hall, and immediately turns and walks the other way. Mike chuckles. Greg spends the day tormenting everyone, including him, and on his way to meet Rachel, he sees Gretchen, and congratulates her. She tells Mike that she absolutely thought it would be him, but he just shrugs sadly, and tells her that he's genuinely happy it was her, and not Greg, if it had to be anyone. She chuckles, and then Mike heads off to have lunch with Rachel. They go to El'Tique, a café that they used to frequent years ago, before Mike and Harvey began dating. They talk about everything. Rachel asks him if they've got ideas for the wedding, or their honeymoon, and Mike tells her to 'call Donna, get herself on the planning committee'. The brunette woman chuckles, knowing what Donna can be like, she tells Mike she wouldn't touch that with a three-foot pole. He smiles, and it's the first time he's been able to just talk with his best-friend for a while. They've been so busy, with engagements, and work and other things getting in the way, that he and Rachel haven't had the chance to just talk to each other. Most of the other times, they're with other people, or at work. Now it's just nice. They're in the middle of a conversation about Rachel's new boyfriend, how he works for the government, but his job is top secret, and how he's super sexy. Mike gets the chance to see the picture of the two of them together, and chuckles, stating that 'yes, he is rather good looking'. Rachel smiles, then takes the opportunity to try and read her best friend. She asks him what is really going on, that it has to be something between him and Harvey, because Donna has been avoiding the man all day, and when she asked her about him earlier, she basically 'spat his name'. Mike sighs, he doesn't want his friends fighting, he just wants to forget about it and get on with work. But he tells Rachel why he didn't get Junior Partner, and how Harvey didn't vote for him, but he's not sure how he should feel about it.
'I mean, what am I supposed to do? Just say, "oh it's alright honey, you didn't vote for me, but I still love you and want to work for you? I mean, come on. How am I meant to trust him again?"' Mike said
'Mike, I know that it sucks. That you think you're going to be stuck as a Senior Associate, that Harvey voted against you, the one person who is always supposed to vote for you. But him not voting for you, was still him voting for you. He did it to protect you, Mike. Like everything he does. To me, that shows that he really loves you, even if it sucks,' Rachel said, taking a sip of her drink whilst Mike thought about what she had just said
'I hate to admit when you're right Rachel… but… you're right,' Mike said, smiling
'Well, it's nice to hear occasionally Mike. You and Harvey are going to be okay. This isn't the end Mike…' Rachel said, raising her glass to 'future promotions', Mike laughed but played along
Harvey didn't beat Mike home, but when he entered the Condo, he could smell something delightful being cooked. Mike had come to talk to him after his lunch with Rachel, and they had laid everything out on the table, whilst Mike is still a little disappointed, he understands why it happened. But he left out the part about feeling 'stuck'. Mike was cooking his Grammy's special Spaghetti, wearing the apron that Lily had given him for Christmas. Harvey entered the kitchen and smiled at the sight. He loves watching Mike cook, the way he moves around the kitchen, grabbing ingredients, it's mesmerising, and the fact that he's wearing… is he naked? Harvey asked himself and he noticed that Mike's apron was barely covering his fiancées naked body. He had leaned off of the bench stool to see if Mike was naked, or his mind was just jumping to conclusions, and had ended up falling off of the thing. He was lying on his back, on the cold, wooden floor of their kitchen, looking up at the beautiful creature standing above him, asking if he's "alright", before extending his hand out to help Harvey to his feet. Mike knew that he was on show, and that is exactly what he wanted to be. He's wearing a pair of his low-cut briefs that he'd gone out and brought… he doesn't know why… but they're skin coloured, which kind of makes him look naked… even though he currently isn't, but soon will be. Harvey took the bowl Mike handed to him, and shuffled over to the dining table, to place it down, sitting and taking the drink that Mike handed to him, before putting his own bowl down, and sitting beside Harvey. They ate, mostly in silence, but Harvey asked Mike if they're going to be okay, to which the younger man just raised his left hand, and said that they're getting married, and if this is Harvey's way of "getting out" … to which the older man shook his head, pulling Mike onto his lap. He kissed Mike, stating that he doesn't "want out", he wants in. All in, forever. Mike chuckles, and they share a long kiss, before Mike declares that he's hungry, and they can have sex after, if Harvey can be a good boy until then. Mike saying this causes Harvey to raise the patented Specter brow at him, smirking. They eat in silence, but Mike has their hands connected on the table, and he leans close to Harvey and whispers that he's not mad at him, he doesn't want to fight about it anymore, he just wants to move on from it. Harvey nods and promises Mike that he is always going to vote for him from now on. Wanting to test that theory, Mike asks his fiancée if he would vote for him for president. Harvey stalls, looking over at Mike, who is employing a raised brow, waiting for his response, so when Harvey tells him to 'stop being ridiculous', Mike smirks and whispers in his ear that he was going to give him a blowjob, but he's changed his mind. Harvey chases him into the kitchen, pinning him against the bench, and kisses him, promising to vote for him for president. Mike smiles.
He doesn't know what time it is, the big red numbers on the clock tell him that it's after three am. Harvey groans as Mike whacks his shoulder, telling him to "shut his fucking phone up". Harvey rolls over, away from Mike, and answers the stupid thing, hearing his brothers voice on the other end of the line. Harvey sits up, wiping his face, becoming more aware of what is going on, and the fact that he's talking to Damien. Said Specter brother is asking if Harvey is able to come to Greystone, and when the older lawyer tells him that he's 'currently sleeping' Damien tells him that he and Mike need to come to Greystone, that it's important. Harvey groans and demands that his brother tell him what's going on. Mike is awake now, leaning against his shoulder, trying to keep his eyes open. Harvey doesn't register anything other than the words "dad had a heart attack". He bolts out of bed, telling Damien they're leaving right now, and will be there as soon as they can. Mike is packing a bag, he doesn't know what to take, so he just throws a bunch of thing in. Harvey takes a quick shower, Mike takes his face in his hands, and kisses him, promising that Richard is going to be alright, and Harvey believes him because Mike wouldn't lie to him. He takes Mike's hand as they head out of the Condo. They go down to the parking garage, and throw their things in to the car, climbing in. Mike had packed snacks and food, making sure to keep Harvey alert, but the older man was wide awake, the words still playing in his mind… dad had a heart attack.
