Emma was in her best mood upon waking up the next morning.

She hurriedly made something to eat before going outside to the garden. She knew Regina always went out in the early morning to pick the blooming flowers.

This time Emma wanted to help Regina pick up those flowers since she didn't want Regina's back to hurt from bending and standing all morning.

The basket was in her arm, the sun hat on her head as she had been picking up flowers for half an hour now. Her basket was almost filled with colorful flowers.

Emma grinned and thought that Regina would like it.

There were many colorful flowers in the garden but she didn't know much about what flowers that were. There were purple, red, pink even yellow. But the white petals were the most planted in this garden and she guessed Regina must have liked them very much since she noticed them around the house as well.

She was on her way back inside the house to place the full basket inside when she saw Regina at the entrance of the garden at the exact moment.

"Morning!" Emma greeted her with a smile.

Regina's face flushed at the sight of her. Emma raised her brow in surprise. Maybe Regina was tired from all the walking, a second later, Regina's face shifted back to normal, and sighed upon seeing her.

"What are you doing here?"

"Helping you with the flowers."

"How would you know what I want today?"

"Flowers?"

"Go back inside, I can do it myself."

"But…your belly could get in the way, let me do it for you."

"No, Just go, Miss Swan."

Emma sighed out loud at the stubborn woman. She just didn't want Regina's back to hurt again from bending down to pick up flowers from low bushes. Regina didn't let her at all and went straight to the tall tree. She followed and stopped beside Regina.

"You're not picking up flowers?" She frowned.

"No. I'm picking up apple today." Regina talked to the apple in her hand.

"But! I already have them ready for you."

Emma pointed her finger to the basket in her arm. Regina looked down at them and raised her brow in surprise at how much the blonde went all in.

"Who told you to do that then? Next time don't put your nose where it doesn't belong. I don't want your flower, you picked it up yourself then you can do whatever with it, I don't care."

Then Regina went back to picking up apples leaving the blonde fuming silently beside her.

Emma tightened the basket in hand, not wanting to lash out as a sudden anger hit her.

That was the mother of her kid, there.

She calmed down when thinking about the little bean.

It was her fault that she didn't ask what Regina wanted today.

Regina tried to reach out to the highest apple on the branch, the brunette had to stand on her tiptoe to do it and—

She couldn't watch and not interfere anymore. Emma reached out her hand and grabbed the one that Regina wanted then handed it back to Regina.

A sigh in annoyance from Regina was all she got and another shove in the shoulder as Regina brushed past her. She swayed slightly in her step as Regina's basket pushed her away.

She took a step to follow Regina still, not letting Regina out of her eyes. Regina went to pick another one and Emma cut in front of her and picked it out of the brunette's hand, then placed them in Regina's basket. She repeated that for the third time when Regna snapped at her.

"Would you stop this?! Leave me alone!"

"Why?! I just want to help."

"Keep your good intentions to yourself then, I don't want it!"

Her lips turned down at that and she left Regina alone at the other side of the tree while she went to the other side and continued to pick up apple.

It was on her fourth try of pulling down the apple from the tree as the corner of her eyes, caught sight of Regina standing still with her hand against her stomach. Her face was frowning together. But when she opened her mouth to ask Regina what was wrong, Regina's face went back to normal and hid her emotions from her again.

She was worried about Regina now.

"You should go rest for now, alright? I can pick up the rest."

"No. I will finish this. It's fine."

Upon seeing Regina go back to her task and no more pain showed on her face, she let Regina go but still her heart was filled with worry.

Ten minutes later, Emma was still at the apple tree, pretending to look around the tree and bushes around them as her basket was already full. But she still didn't want to go back inside. She just wanted to be around Regina and observe her because she couldn't be near Regina or else Regina would just chase her away.

The brunette went to pick up flowers against the wall of the house where an ivy of leaves was against it in a long line, between the lines were flower petals. The vines were as high as Regina herself.

She peeked a glance at Regina picking up flowers. From here she could see a glistening of the brunette's forehead since it was covered with sweat all the way down to her temple. Her tan cheek flushed slightly into a pink color as the sunlight was against them.

It was an adorable sight with the way Regina dressed in her white sundress topped with an oversized sweater.

Emma snuck her hand inside her jeans pocket and pulled out her phone. She raised it high and

She was trying to take a picture of Regina while the brunette didn't look at her. While Regina was with the flowers, it was the moment that Regina looked the happiest, looking by the ghost of a smile at the corner of her plump lips and the tender gaze she looked at those flowers.

Her heart fluttered at the sight and tapped the screen to take the pic.

If possible she just wanted to put the whole garden filled with flowers in here so Regina could spend her life with what made her happy.

She turned her head around and flipped to the front camera and pointed the phone in her face. Her finger tapped against the screen and the screen fluttered with a flash of light as she kept on taking the pic of them together.

Not them, just Emma and Regina in the back, not knowing it.

She was about to tap her screen when suddenly on the screen Regina turned her head in her way and squinted her eyes.

She abruptly put her phone back down and pretended to play with her phone.

"Miss Swan! Are you taking a pic of me?" Regina yelled out her suspicious.

"No! I was taking a pic of myself! But you're just in my way. Don't worry you're in the back, not seeing anything from here."

"I don't believe you. Delete the pic that has me in it immediately."

"There were none with you in it!" Emma whined with a small pout.

"But I just saw me."

"It's a blur! Fine, I'll delete it now."

"Good! And don't let me see you taking another pic of me, then we'll see what I can do about that." Regina threatened her.

"It's just pictures, Regina. I like the view and I wanna keep it. What's wrong with that?"

"But I look like a fucking mess?! I'm all sweaty and hot and-big! Are you trying to use it against me or something?"

Emma raised her brow as it was about to get out of hand for just a simple photo taking.

It was like Regina just knew what she let out and stopped yelling at her before turning back to the flowers and didn't pay attention to Emma.

Her heart softened at the frustrating brunette, now she understood why Regina acted like that upon realizing what Regina thought of herself.

"I'm happy you said that." Emma gently prompted.

"What? About me being unattractive? Just shut up, Swan."

She took big steps and was behind Regina the next second. She said behind Regina's head.

"Even if you don't like me or hate me. But let me speak my mind and I swear that what I'm going to say next is true. I've never seen this side of you, Regina. And you look so beautiful in this moment I had to take a picture so it would last longer in my head. You're perfect to me."

Regina stopped in her tracks, her hands were down beside her body as her head turned slightly to look back at the blonde.

"I don't believe you. Keep your nice words to compliment other women that's not me would be better. I don't want any reassuring words from the likes of you."

Emma's lips turned down as she sucked in her tongue. It was hurt that Regina kept pushing her away. She pocketed her phone and left Regina with her task without saying anything.

Regina can be so irrational sometimes, not sometimes, just when Emma was around her would be correct.

Not long, Regina was done with the garden. She handed Regina her result, two baskets full of flowers and apples.

"Here's mine."

Regina only looked at her and shook her head.

"I don't want it. You did all the work, you should keep it, then."

"I did it for you. This apple here looks yummy!"

"Well, I don't want anything from you."

"But I gladly did it for you. I want you to take it, please."

"I said I don't want your damn apples!"

Regina snapped with anger and threw her basket on the floor, breathing heavily back at her. She looked down in shock at the apple rolling on the ground, it would be bruising by now.

"Regina!"

She was so sad and confused that Regina reacted like this to her. Before Regina could go back inside the house, she grabbed Regina's elbow back. Regina turned to face her with so much anger in those brown eyes.

"What now, Swan?"

"What's wrong with you?! You overreacted!"

Emma let out her frustration on Regina this time. Her hurt and anger all came out at once, along with the past weeks when Regina put her food in the trash and wouldn't let her help carry things for her.

Regina was stubborn and acted cold feet toward her.

When yesterday they were still good, Regina talked to her and teased her, but now it was like taking ten steps backward.

"I want to help you and do nice things for you. Why are you so cold-hearted to me?"

Regina's glare hardened.

"If you're not caring about yourself then can you think about the baby?! Or you don't want me in the picture when this baby is born, is that it?" Emma shouted, her breath quickened as she stared at the fuming brunette too.

"Because I think about the baby! So I want this baby to stay the hell away from you!"

Regina finally snapped at her, voice shaking with so much suppression that her brown eyes tore up.

"I don't want this baby to become like you. I don't want our baby to have a bad influence leading her life like you! Or being anywhere near a bad person like you!, Especially when you happen to be the other mother of her."

Her heart was torn into pieces when Regina thought that of her. She was a shitty person in the past but now she tried so hard to fight for them. Her face burned as the tears came up in her throat.

"I don't want her to become a vicious, selfish person who has no heart and can't love anyone for real like you!"

"But I love-"

Regina gritted her teeth, daring the blonde to say it out loud. Emma couldn't say it, not now. This had to be the second time that she couldn't admit her feelings out loud.

"I love this baby." She choked up with tears.

Regina's eyes deflated and looked at her with disdain and hurt.

"I want to be a good mom too, Regina. I want to raise him or her to be a good person so they won't come out like me, a fucking freak! I want them to be born, surrounded by people who love them, and not grow up alone like me!"

So they would have a parent who really loved them since none of hers really loved her, that's what she thought and didn't say it. Emma blinked and tears slipped down her cheeks. She looked at Regina with sincerity in her eyes.

Regina gulped at the crying blonde. She wouldn't let this ruin her again. She had to stand her ground and make Emma leave her if it was the last thing she would do.

"You used to use me as your tool for revenge, I'll not let you use my child too."

Regina sucked in a deep breath before walking back inside the house and closing the door on the blonde.

Emma quickened her steps but it was too late Regina slammed the door against her face.

"Don't you dare go inside!" A yell on the other side of the door.

Emma wiped her eyes and nose before bending down to pick up the bruised apples back into the basket. She walked to Robert's house. And he opened the door with an understanding.

"She kicked you out again?"

"Yeah."

Emma nodded and pouted. He patted her shoulder before welcoming her inside a hundred times.

Emma was back to her normal self again after she had a slight breakdown in his home. He was so understanding and let her use his kitchen to make this apple pie.

He told her that he had a business the whole day today and asked Emma to accompany Regina to town this time since he would be busy. Emma smiled instantly and accepted it.

She rang the doorbell and waited patiently for Regina to open the door. A minute later the door was still closing and she frowned thinking the worst could happen to Regina inside the house alone while she was gone.

She rang the doorbell several times.

"Stop attacking my doorbell!"

A door was suddenly open with a scowl on Regina's face behind it.

Emma grinned and sighed in relief at the grumpy brunette. At least Regina was all right. The smaller woman looked down at her pie briefly before glaring at Emma.

"Put it down on this doormat, I don't want to eat it!"

Emma thought so and didn't expect that Regina would change her mind anytime soon. She shrugged her shoulders and her face shifted down to the basket in Regina's hands now that the door was closing behind Regina again. Emma smiled at the sight of a beautiful bouquet.

"Wow, your bouquets are to die for, it's so beautiful! Look at those colors!" Emma complimented.

Regina eyed her for a second then walked passed her. Emma had to abruptly leave the pie on the bench outside the house instead. At least it was in Tupperware. She yelled after Regina.

"Where are you going?!"

"Leave me alone!"

Regina turned back to the white fence at the gate, suddenly the brunette stopped her walk short and put one hand under her rounded belly.

"If you're going to his house, then it's no use since he's busy today. So he let me accompany you to the town instead."

Emma smiled proudly and crossed her arms but frowned at the way Regina held her stomach. She was about to step closer when Regina turned back to face Emma with a scold. as her face showed nothing, no sight of discomfort or hurt.

"No, I can go by myself."

Her eyes shifted to the large belly that could place the basket on top if you tried. Regina's stomach had enlarged in the month that she lived here. Her eyes turned soft at the sight and couldn't help but worry about the brunette's condition.

"But you can't carry all of that and walk with the belly in the way, Regina. Let me help you, please."

Regina walked on and she stepped up to grab Regina's arm so the brunette would pay attention to her before begging her to listen.

"Why are you torturing yourself like this?! I saw you touch your stomach, are you okay?! trust me please and let me help you."

Emma looked closely into Regina's eyes which were flicked with a flash of something before it was gone again.

"No." Regina pushed her hand away from the bag and said in the lowest tone.

"I don't need your help."

"Why are you being so fucking stubborn!" Emma yelled in frustration.

"And why are you stubbornly following me? Leave me alone and go back to your world! This is my world now, my home. I don't need you in it."

Emma stood stunned and abruptly let Regina go, her mouth agape. She hoped it was because of the pregnancy hormones that let Regina be this moody and mouthy today.

She didn't want to think otherwise that Regina really didn't want her anymore.

She couldn't.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she hadn't noticed Regina had already left her and advanced in being ahead of her.

"Regina, Wait!"

The blonde hadn't given up on helping Regina, she tried to take the bag from Regina but the brunette wouldn't let her help. Regina kept on walking to the bus station and held tight to the bag like her life was dependent on it.

Regina didn't want the blonde to keep following her like this, it was getting annoying each minute Emma was looking out for her to walk, or hold out her hand in front of her.

She told her to go back to her world. Regina thought their world was too different and as she said to Emma, she didn't want their baby to be born with a peevish trail like the blonde had.

Last night was a hormonal mistake that let her get off herself with the thought of Emma in her mind. So today when she faced Emma early in the morning, she lost herself for a second there before she could control herself again.

But seeing the blonde's action today made her even more angry. She wouldn't let this weakness of herself hurt her and this baby again.

She took a step toward the bus as it stopped, not caring if the blonde followed or not.

As she got to sit down on the bus and rested, that was when she felt like her back would split in two. It ached so badly, that she let out a small wince but controlled her face immediately as Emma eyed her the whole time.

She didn't want Emma to care to worry about her at all. The blonde needed to let them go and it would make Regina's life so much easier.

This morning she woke up with a feeling of discomfort around her stomach. A slight cramp would seize her mid-section when she walked or stood far too long.

It had to be Braxton hick as the doctor told her.

When the bus stopped, she got down and Emma followed not far behind her. Regina walked until they reached the flower shop in town. She stepped inside the shop and greeted the owner, she placed the basket down on the counter.

"This is all of it."

"Woah! It looks fresh and beautiful!" The owner pulled the cash from the drawer and waved it at her.

"Here's the tips, Regina."

Regina accepted the money and was about to reach inside her purse to pull out her wallet when she felt a sudden cramp hit her in the stomach. She hissed softly and touched her belly.

Emma frowned at Regina as she stood beside her when Regina winced. The blonde reached out to touch her arm but Regina shrugged it off her. When Regina felt fine again she put the cash back in her purse.

"You woke up early and worked hard every day just for this small sum of money?" Emma pouted.

"For you, it might be small. But to me, it was enough to take care of myself."

"Not good enough. I think you should go home with me. You can stay at the house without doing anything since I have money that could raise us three without this hard work you have to go through."

Regina sighed out in anger as she was fuming at the blonde's thought. Emma was still the same, the blonde couldn't think or learn in the past month out here. She didn't want to leave her hope in the hands of this idiot.

"Keep your money to yourself then, even a cent from you I still don't want it." Regina sneered and shoved the blonde away from her.

She walked out of the flower shop and stopped abruptly again. Another cramp stuck at her stomach, this time it spread to her lower back.

Not her lower back, please

She always hated it when that happened. The cramp she could endure but the back pain was too much for her. She rubbed her belly as she felt fine later.

She took in deep breath before she took another walk.

Emma followed Regina outside and rushed in to grab the basket from Regina's hand. Because back inside Regina's face was not okay at all. She saw how often Regina rubbed or touched her stomach.

She wanted to help. It hurt her heart to watch the stubborn woman pushing her away while she was in pain.

But Regina didn't tell her whether she was fine or not she could only watch Regina's face getting paler each minute she walked.

"Let me help, please," Emma begged with desperation in her voice.

"No, just leave."

Regina pushed her hand away again and walked ahead of her. Emma sighed and followed while throwing her arms out in frustration.

Her frown hardened as Regina stopped suddenly and bent forward while her hand held her stomach.

"Oh"

She panicked when she heard Regina cried out loud. Emma rushed to be at Regina's side immediately, her heart churning at the sight of Regina in pain.

"Regina?!"

Upon hearing her voice, Regina stood back up and pulled the basket away from her hand again as she was trying to take a grab. Regina didn't look like she was fine.

"Please, If you want me to leave you alone, then I will. But I saw you're not okay back at the shop. I need to know, are you okay, Regina?" Emma tried to look into Regina's eyes but couldn't.

"I'm not! But that's not your business, isn't it?! I can take care of myself."

Regina's head snapped up at her and scoffed. She walked off but Emma couldn't stop worrying about Regina now that she admitted it to her face.

She was about to follow Regina when a shout was behind her. It was the owner of the flower shop, shouting about something.

"Regina, wait!"

She shouted and cussed as she saw Regina was at the bus stop already, about to take the bus but the shout was still coming at her. She had to turn back inside the shop and let Regina go alone.

"Woww, Emma did this by herself?!" Ivy asked the old man.

She gasped at the sight of an apple pie Emma made. She had to pull out her phone to take a picture since she was stunned into amazement that Emma Swan cooked. Danial was talking to him as they both came to visit Regina after they knew from Cora where Regina lived.

"What? She slept in the stable?! That was truly a sight to see indeed." Daniel gasped as well.

"It's that amazing?" Robert frowned in disbelief.

They all could hear a stomping of feet behind them. And saw the fawning face of the blonde. The sight of the blonde in front of them was a mess, her hair went wild, her shirt was untucked from her jeans, and panting as if she went on running a marathon.

"There she is. You guys talk, I'll not bother anymore."

When he's gone. Emma sat on the bench with a long sigh.

"So, Regina doesn't give in at all?" Daniel asked.

Emma nodded and rubbed her face.

"She won't let down her wall or let me get close to her. I don't mind since I did ugly things to her in the past. She can hate or be angry with me all she wants but right now I'm worried about the baby. She's 7 months now and she still has to work a lot. I want to help but she won't let me. She won't take anything from me if I offer it to her she would shut me down every time."

"Is Regina home?" He asked

"Yeah, why?" Emma raised her eyebrow at him.

"I'll try and talk to her."

"You think talking to her would soften her mind toward me?"

"No, but I can try for both of you."

Emma gave him a small grin, hoping Regina would let her in that heart of hers again. Even if it's the tiniest bit of her.

Emma walked back and forth outside the house, she chewed her lips while waiting for them to talk. Upon opening the door earlier she caught a glimpse of pain on Regina's face and her face shifted to normal as Regina welcomed her guests inside and shut the door on her.

She was walking back and forth still in worry.

Hope in hope that they would talk and Regina would let her take care of her again. It was hurt that she couldn't do anything but watch as Regina suffered.

Suddenly there was a commotion inside the house, it was Ivy's voice.

"Regina?!"

Emma went on alert mode, as her stomach dropped at the bad scenario in her head. She ran to the door and heard Ivy yell for her.

"Emma! Help!"

The door was opened with such force that it banged against the wall. Emma ran inside the house, into the living room. Her heart dropped at the sight of Ivy holding an unconscious Regina on the floor.

She took two big steps and knelt beside them, putting one hand behind Regina's shoulders and pulling the brunette's body into her arms instead. She jolted the sleeping woman in her arms, and Regina's head rolled back into her chest, not responding.

"Regina! Wake up!" She used her free hand to pat Regina's face softly.

Fear filled her heart as Regina was laid still.

Then all she felt was guilt. She saw all the sights today and let Regina go. She should have fought the brunette and been more stubborn than Regina.

Tears burned behind her eyelids as she was getting scared each minute Regina did not wake up. Her heart could be torn in two thinking about bad things that could happen to the baby and Regina.

"Call the ambulance, Emma!" Ivy shouted.

Emma nodded eagerly while still in shock. She put her other hand on Regina's thighs, under the white sundress. She was about to pick Regina up into her arms when her frown deepened as she could feel her palm under Regina's thigh getting slimy and wet. She abruptly pulled the hand back and gasped in terror.

A cry stuck in her throat at the sight of a red color on her hand. She could feel her vision was spinning, her hand was shaking uncontrollably but she had to inhale deeply to gather back her consciousness.

She gathered the brunette's white sundress up slowly and there it was the evidence, Blood was flowing down Regina's thighs, causing a pink color in her dress now.

Ivy cried out loud at the side and she could hear Daniel gasping above her.

"Fuck it! I don't think they'll come fast enough, I'll take her to the hospital myself. You go bring Robert's car here! Hurry!"

Emma shouted over her shoulders at them. Ivy and Daniel nodded while running out of the house ahead of her.

She looked down at the unconscious woman in her arms. Her heart ached seeing still closed eyes. She leaned down to kiss her forehead and mumbled.

"Please, please, be okay, my love."

Then she was back on her feet with Regina in her arms and ran out after them.

Emma sat with Regina in between her legs in the back seat. Daniel was driving and Ivy stayed beside him in the front seat.

She sobbed against the brunette's head all the way to the hospital as she snuggled close to Regina's head and tightened her hold around Regina's torso.

She looked down at the stain of blood in her hand and the hem of Regina's dress was pink. She cried and big tears flowed down her cheeks as her nose was running too. She sniffed while holding onto Regina. She was terrified that she was going to lose both people that were important to her.

She should have been more stubborn and held the basket for her. She shouldn't let Regina go out today when she saw that the brunette was not okay.

"We're here, Emma." Ivy turned her head back to tell Emma.

Emma didn't wait for the nurse to come with the stretch. As soon as she opened the car door, she hurriedly carried Regina inside the hospital and went straight to the emergency room.

"Where's the doctor!? I need one now!"

Emma roared at the wide-eyed nurses around there and gently put Regina on the hospital bed. A nurse ran to them and put the comforter up Regina's body.

"I need a doctor now." Emma hardened her face.

"We're getting him, sir."

"I need one now!" She shouted and the nurse startled at the scream.

Lucky for her after she shouted, the doctor came right in. The doctor came to check on Regina and the baby's condition before, the nurse pulled the curtain closing around the bed. While the doctor turned to speak to her.

"She's in good hands now. Don't worry, but you have to wait outside first, alright? Let me do my job."

"Please save her and the baby."

Emma begged with a cry and the doctor sent a sympathetic gaze back at her. She took one last look at Regina's sleeping face and gulped down her tears before going back outside into the hallway, waiting for Regina outside the ER's room.
