The very next day both you and Reno walked side by side on the boat deck.

The air was cold, but the sun's rays warmed as the sun was setting for the day.

The deck was populated with people, but in each other's eyes you were completely alone.

"I..." You began nervously. "I want to thank you for all that you did. Not just for...for pulling me back, but for your discretion."

"You're welcome, dollface." Reno smiled.

"Look...I know what you must be thinking. Poor little rich girl. What does she know about misery?" Reno just shook his head.

"Actually, no,-" He began, his voice almost sounded a bit cold. You looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

"What I was thinking was...what could have hurt this lady so much to think she had no way out?" You sighed as you continued to walk around the boat deck.

"It wasn't just one thing. It was everything! I felt trapped and just..." You lowered your head. "- I just had to run away..."

"From?" Reno asked.

"I am engaged." You answered quickly and showed Reno your diamond ring.

"Damn!" Reno exclaimed, holding your hand to look at the size of the diamond. "You would have gone straight to the bottom!" You giggled at his choice of words.

"So that penguin from last night, who is he? The fella you're marryin'?"

"Penguin?" You repeated confused before quickly figuring out who he meant. "Oh yes, exactly!"

"So don't marry him."

"If only it were that simple..." You replied back with a sigh.

"Why not?" You looked into his navy blue eyes and said.

"C-can we change the subject?"

"Sure." Reno nodded.

The sky was painted orange as the sun was setting, making way for the evening and the starry night sky.

Both you and Reno lean on the A-deck rail aft, shoulder to shoulder. The ship's light come on.

It is a magical moment...perfect.

"Tell me about your job as a Turk?" You asked curiously.

"I work as an investigator." Reno replied and that sparked your interest even more. "An investigator? Are you a cop or something?" Reno smirked as he shook his head.

Ruth your mother and Molly Brown had been watching the two of you for a while. You turn and becomes instantly composed.

"Mother, may I introduce Reno."

"Charmed, I'm sure." Said Ruth silently. She had already decided she didn't like Reno.

Molly Brown, however was delighted of the handsome young man in front of her.

"Well, Reno, it sounds like you're a good man to have around in a stickey spot-"

You all jumped as a Bugler sounds the meal call right behind them.

"Why do they insist on always announcing dinner like a damn cavalry charge?" Said Molly Brown slightly annoyed as she laughed.

"Shall we go dress, mother?" You looked over your shoulder. "See you at dinner, Reno."

Both you and your mother exit, leaving Reno and Molly alone on deck.

"Son, do you have the slightest

comprehension of what you're doing?"

"Indeed I do." Reno replied back with a twinkle in his eye.

Molly eyed the red haired man up and down, he sure looked like a gentleman.

"What are you planning to wear?" She asked next.

Reno looks down at his clothes and back up at her.

"I figured." Molly replied. "At least button your shirt." Reno did as the older woman said, but left two buttons unbuttoned.

A steward bows and smartly opens the door to the First Class Entrance.

"Good evening, sir." Said the Steward. Reno nods with just the right degree of disdain.

Reno steps in and he had seen it all before, yet the beauty took his breath away. Overhead is the enormous glass dome, with a crystal chandelier at its center. Sweeping down six stories is the First Class Grand Staircase, the epitome of the opulent naval architecture of the time. Every person who passed him was elegantly dressed.

A familiar couple comes down the stairs covered in jewelry. They both walk right past Reno, but Reno didn't care. His eyes landed on you as you strolled down the elegant staircase.

A vision of red and black, your low-cut dress showing off your neck, shoulder and a small portion of your breasts. Your arms seathed in white gloves that come well above the elbow and Reno is hypnotized by your beauty.

You approche Reno and you extends your gloved hand, and he takes it, kissing the back of your hand. You just can't take your eyes off him.

"God you are beautiful." You blushed at his words.

You encounter Molly Brown as you're going into the dining saloon and she walks next to Reno, speaking happily.

"Care to escort a lady to dinner?" Reno nodded and offered his arm to Molly who happily accepted it.

The Dining Saloon.

Like a ballroom at the palace, alive and lit by a constellation of chandeliers. Full of elegantly dressed people and beautiful music from BANDLEADER WALLACE HARTLEY'S

small orchestra.

You all sat gathered around a long table.

"Tell us what your occupation is, sir" Ruth asked politely, generally not too happy that he was there.

"I'm a Turk." Said Reno with a chill in his voice.

"Mr Reno was of some assistance to my fiancee last night." Your fiance explained.

The waiter comes up to Reno.

"How do you take your caviar, sir?"

"No caviar for me, thanks. Never did like it much." Reno kept his navy blue eyes on you and you smiled at him.

"Where exactly do you live, sir?" Asked Ruth.

"Where I live is classified info, ma'am, but right now my address is the RMS Titanic." Ruth glared at him as if he were an insect that needed to be squashed immediately.

"How is it that you've the means to travel, sir?" Ruth asked curiously.

"I am very successful in my line of work, ma'am." The smirk never left his face.

Time had flown by, but you couldn't tell if everyone had had a good time. The atmosphere seemed divided.

You however, enjoyed every second of the evening with Reno at the dining table.

Dessert has been served and a waiter arrives with cigars in a humidor on a wheeled cart.

"Well, join me for a brandy, gentlemen?" Asked a fat gentleman with a white beard, standing up from his chair.

The man turns to face Reno.

"Joining us, Reno? You don't want to stay out here with the women, do you?"

Actually, he does, but...

"No thanks." Said Reno politely.

"Good of you to come." Said your fiance to Reno as he and the other gentlemen exit.

Reno leans over to take your hand as you spoke.

"Reno, must you go?"

Reno said nothing. He kissed your hand as he slipped a note into your hand.

He walks away and you surreptitiously opens the note below table level and it read: ~Meet me at the clock.~

You crosses the A-deck foyer, sighting Reno at the landing above. Overhead is the crystal dome. Reno has his back to you, studying the ornate clock with its carved figures of Honor and Glory. It softly strikes the hour.

You go up the sweeping staircase towards him. He turns, sees you and smirk.

"Wanna go to a real party?"
