Today was the day that Regina got permission to finally go back home. The blonde was so happy Regina was back to herself again. Gaining strength and feeling fine ready to go home.

Regina turned to look at Emma from the passenger seat for a while as the blonde was driving. She frowned as Emma looked strangely too happy, even happier than her who was the one who got admitted to the hospital.

She turned to face the window. Her frown deepened seeing the building surrounding them. This was not the way home. Regina snapped her head back at the blonde.

"This was not the way out of the town?! Why are we not going back home, Miss Swan?"

"You'll see."

"I wanna know now."

Regina insisted but Emma continued to drive with a grin. Regina huffed and crossed her arms over her stomach in annoyance.

Not long her eyes went wide as the car stopped in front of the huge store.

"I don't wanna go! I want to go home. Take me home immediately, Miss Swan!" Regina whined.

Emma chuckled while taking the car key off and pocketed it then turned to face her.

"But I want to buy stuff for our baby! Regina, think about it. You're close to your due date and we haven't brought anything for her." Emma prompted Regina softly hoping Regina would be considered the offer.

Regina was still in her seat. Emma was right. She always worked and totally forgot that she hadn't prepared anything for the baby's arrival yet.

She hated it when the blonde was right. Regina sighed before nodding her head.

Emma took out her fist in the air and whooshed softly.

The blonde hurried out of the car and went to open the door for her before Regina could open it herself.

"You don't have to, I can open it myself," Regina said, her face stern.

"I want to help."

"Don't."

"Regina…you promised to let me help you?"

Regina was hesitant and Emma continued

"For our baby?"

Regina sighed out loud and stepped out of the car, with the help of the blonde's lending her arms for her to grab. When she could stand on her feet, she let the arms go immediately.

She didn't want Emma to think too much about this. Regina didn't want to put the thought about them into the blonde's head.

They were inside the store not a minute later and Emma led Regina straight forward to the baby section. The blonde was so excited to show her around, running off to grab the stuff for her to see.

The corner of her lips almost curled up at the sight of the blonde acting like an actual child running around the store like she was in the candy store.

Regina turned her head back to look at the onesie in her hand. She picked up the white simple one. It looked so cute with these little fluffy stuff on the front.

"Regina!" Emma's voice was not far from beside her.

She looked up at the source of the sound and saw Emma lifting the purple onesie with a black line of a crown shaped in the center up in her hands, showing her. The blonde smiled.

"Isn't this cute?! A crown looks super regal, so our baby would inherit some of the trials, yeah?"

"Not that color, please. I want the simple one." Regina rolled her eyes at the choice of color from the blonde's pick.

"But our baby is not simple!"

"What do you mean by that?" Regina put one hand on her hips and lifted her brow at the blonde.

"Because…she's our baby?" Emma grinned.

Regina sighed and wiped the hair off of her face. She tried to control her emotions as she could feel her face getting hot from the evolution of the blonde's name toward the baby.

First, it was a little bean but now it was 'our baby' when she didn't know.

But upon hearing it frequently, it made her feel butterflies in her stomach every time.

"You can buy it, it's your money. But I won't let this baby wear it."

Regina lifted her brow in a challenge before turning back to the white onesie in hand.

They ended up buying several things, clothes, socks, shoes, and baby bottles. Also, the crib and mattress will follow to the house soon. Before they had to pay at the cashier, Emma handed Regina the oval shape of a pump.

It was the breast pump, an electric one at that. Regina was red in the face.

"Why do I need this?" Regina asked with a small shake of the head.

"So you won't get uncomfortable when you're full?"

Regina lifted her eyebrow at the blonde.

"The staff told me at the section! And I read some, Regina. It would be useful to you." Emma tried to persuade Regina to buy it.

"You're getting to know more about this stuff than I do at this point."

"You carried her for nine months, at least let me help with this stuff," Emma begged with her eyes.

Regina eyed the thing. It was not as big as she imagined, the size was perfect actually. Regina nodded and Emma smiled while putting the thing in the cart.

As they were checking out, Regina put out her cash from the purse. Suddenly the blonde pushed her hand away, making Regina eye the blonde with confusion.

"I will pay for you." Emma offered while ducking out her wallet from the back pocket.

"But I have to use it, I can pay. It's fine." Regina argued.

Emma looked straight into her eyes, determined not to let her win this argument.

"I want to take care of everything for you both. Let me buy them for you, please? Look at it as a welcome home gift from me?"

"Emma…" Regina made the sound with her mouth.

She started to get upset at the blonde trying to play saints and paying for everything.

Regina shouldn't have come here in the first place. She should let them go home instead.

She didn't want to owe anything to the blonde ever again.

Emma saw the moment when Regina decided what to do with her offer and started to get upset.

"We could split?" Emma tried again.

"Fine."

They were on their way out of the store when Emma suddenly stopped in front of the shoe shop as they walked past one. Regina had to stop too.

"Come with me to buy shoes, please?" Emma begged with big eyes.

Regina looked at all the shopping bags in Emma's hands in wonder.

"You still want to?! But you have to carry all of these since I won't be helping with that!" Regina said.

"Pleasee?"

Regina put her hand against her lower back as it started to ache from all the walking around. She sighed in annoyance.

"Are you torturing me or something? My back is starting to ache, I want to go home." Regina stated with a stern face.

"You can rest while I look in the shop and I'll be quick!" Emma said with a small wince in her face as it sounded so selfish all of a sudden.

Regina nodded and could only glare at the blonde's head as Emma fled into the shop, with shopping bags in her arms. She took in deep breath before rubbing her stomach to calm herself down. Then walked inside after the blonde.

Regina came to sit on the bench, looking around at all the shoes that were on display by the wall. Her eyes followed the blonde's figure around the store as Emma went to pick up the shoes.

She didn't intend to stare but she had nothing better to do than this.

Not long after, Emma came to kneel beside her foot with a pair of ballet flats in her hands.

"What are you doing, Miss Swan?" Regina asked in bewilderment and shifted her foot away from the blonde.

"Come on."

Emma grabbed one of her feet making her startled slightly in her seat. She couldn't yell or kick the blonde in the face, it would look impolite to do that since the staff was standing nearby. Emma took off her old sandals, showing off her sore feet.

Which started to get swollen a bit from the walking this afternoon.

Regina sighed in contentment and laid back on her hand against the bench as her feet were free from its containment.

Nearing her due date, her back ached often, and her feet got swollen easily. But Regina didn't want to let any discomfort show on her face since she was afraid Emma would offer her another massage.

She wouldn't want to make the same mistake.

Emma put the shoe on her foot and looked up at her.

"Comfy?" Emma asked

Regina nodded since it was the truth.

"The beige color looks good on you," Emma mumbled then turned to the staff who stood near by.

"I'll take one of these. Beige, her size please."

The staff went to get the blonde's order.

"Aren't you coming in here to buy the shoes?" Regina asked in confused.

"Yes. But not mine." Emma grinned adorably.

"Why?"

"Think of it as another gift from me then."

"But I don't want it! You buy it then you can wear it yourself." Regina frowned

"I just want my girls to wear something nice and comfortable! Why are you denying it since you said it was comfy?"

"So?!"

"Your old shoes were hurting your feet, right? Look! Your ankle looks swollen again. You love to walk so your feet won't hurt, Regina."

Regina looked over her dome of a belly at the foot in Emma's lap. She wriggled her toes in the flats and admitted that it was softer than her old ones.

"I want to buy them for you."

"Okay." Regina looked at the smiling blonde but she cut Emma first and turned to speak to the staff, who already came back with a box in hand.

"How much for this?" Regina asked.

"299$"

"What?" Regina gasped and looked sharply at the blonde.

"Why is it so expensive?!" She whispered to Emma.

"It was made from real leather and the base inside was properly intact." The staff interrupted with a polite smile.

Emma didn't wait and handed her card to the staff quickly. He picked it up and went back to the cashier.

"Oh my god. This is too much, Emma. You can have it then I don't want it."

"You have to since you don't have anything to wear right now." Emma grinned.

"What do you mean?"

Regina frowned as she looked around for her other shoe that Emma had it off.

It was nowhere to be seen.

She narrowed her eyes at the blonde and scolded.

"Where. is. my. shoe?!"

"I changed yours now, didn't I?"

Emma wriggled her eyebrows and chuckled at the fuming brunette. She let the staff bring Regina's old shoes in the back and traded them for a new one.

"Miss Swan!"

Regina reluctantly walked in her new shoes as she followed Emma to the restaurant. She wouldn't show Emma that these shoes were heaven on her feet since she didn't want the blonde to get cockier than this.

Emma took Regina to the old restaurant she used to bring the brunette here against her will.

This time it would change since today, she intended to spoil Regina to the max with all the baby stuff, shoes, and food.

She just wanted Regina to have good new memories of the bad place she used to put it in the past.

"Emma Swan?" The reception greeted her with too sweet of a smile.

"Yes. I didn't book but is there any seat available for me and…"

Emma's eyes shifted to Regina who stood behind her.

"my pregnant wife?" Emma finished with a proud smile.

The girl raised her eyebrows at Regina's stomach and gasped in recognition, while she pointed her finger back and forth between Emma and the flushing brunette behind.

"Wait! You're the woman who came with-?! Congratulation! I can find you a table, follow me." The girl was happy indeed with the couple.

Emma smiled widely and turned her head to look back at Regina. And her smile faded at the worrying look on Regina's face.

Regina frowned with confusion at the same restaurant, she used to come with the blonde when she was at the…

Regina almost forgot that the blonde was quite famous in the town with all the top Casanova stuff on the internet. She forgot that the blonde had a life in her circle of high class.

With the girl recognized her, she started to feel insecure. And she didn't like the way the girl was eyeing the blonde either.

It brought some weird feeling inside her stomach that she hadn't felt before.

Emma tried to take her hand and pulled her inside but Regina halted the blonde's action and pulled her hand back.

"I'm not hungry. Can we go back now?"

"What?! How come you're not hungry?! We walked for hours, Regina! You must be hungry, I'm sure. Besides this place has your favorite dish!" Emma said, looking into her eyes.

Regina shifted her eyes down and crossed her arms over her stomach.

"Don't you, uh, embarrassed?" She mumbled.

"What for?" Emma frowned.

"You came with me! pregnant at that! Don't you worry that everyone will gossip about what we're doing here together?! Since reputation is important to you." Regina snapped. Emma's eyes turned soft at the realization.

"You worry about this for me?"

Regina scoffed and didn't say anything.

"I'm not at all, Regina." The blonde stepped closer to her and caressed her arms on her stomach.

"Even better if they know about us. So they will know that I already have an owner! Who is the most beautiful woman I've ever taken to eat with." Emma grinned.

Regina sent the blonde a dead glare as she could feel her anger rising at the daring blonde.

"And the most fierce one at that." The blonde said

Regina shook the hand off of her and walked inside the restaurant, purposely crashing the blonde's side as she walked past Emma.

"Wait for me!" Emma shouted behind the mother of her kid.

Emma rested her chin on her hands against the table and watched in amazement at Regina, who was eating pasta with such eagerness. Regina must be famished to eat and not scold her for once since they sat down.

She grinned as Regina stuffed another piece of pasta into her mouth and chewed adorably.

"What are you smiling at?!"

Regina narrowed her eyes at the blonde, she could feel Emma stare at her the entire time she sat down. She didn't care, let the blonde watch, she was hungry.

Emma tried to stop her grin but it was fruitless when Regina wrapped her lips around the straw and sucked the lemonade frappe up.

"Nothing. I was happy so I smiled." Emma smiled more at Regina's glare. Then the brunette shifted her gaze down to Emma's plate.

"Why aren't eating? you're full already?" Regina asked nonchalantly.

Emma chuckled and Regina glared hard. Emma pushed her plate in the middle of the table. A banoffe pie that she had only eaten for two scoops.

"Here's mine. I'm…fulled."

"Really?" Regina narrowed her eyes.

"...Yes."

"Are you calling me fat?"

"Nope."

Emma tried to steady her face and not let out a grin, she bit her lips instead.

Regina squinted her eyes so hard at the blonde then straightened her back against the chair, hand went to caress her stomach.

"I'm full now," Regina said.

"Oh? Are you sure?" Emma asked.

"Your tactic won't work on me, Miss Swan," Regina said as she leaned her face closer to the blonde to show Emma who had the upper hand.

"I'm not working on anything, Regina. I'm full too so let's go."

Emma rolled her eyes and finally let out a small smile as she stood up and left to the register.

They were outside on the street again, it was almost dark now. Emma didn't want to go home yet. And she wanted to take Regina to the park around here since there was a small garden and flowers there. Regina might loved it.

A chance like this was rare for them, if not then Regina would never willingly go out with her again.

This was the golden opportunity for her to take Regina on a date without Regina knowing it.

Does that still count as one?

She walked alongside the brunette and secretly took a glance at the woman beside her. Regina was caressing her belly while looking around as she walked. Emma noticed the slightest smile at the corner of Regina's lips upon looking closely.

She risked the moment by reaching out her hand to stay close the Regina's hand that wasn't on her stomach.

Regina pulled her hand away from her and put it together on her stomach. Emma was disappointed as her heart twitched with sadness and longing.

"What is it?" Regina stopped to ask her as she noticed the down look on the blonde's face.

"Let's go to the park," Emma suggested.

"But I just left the hospital? Don't you think I need to rest, dear?"

"Oh, you're right. Let's head back then."

Emma was in her happiest trace today and forgot that Reina had just come out of the hospital.

She frowned as she was angry at herself all of a sudden for risking the brunette's health like this.

She stopped in the middle of her walk back to the car when she couldn't feel Regina walking beside her. She panicked and turned around to see Regina standing still.

"Are you okay?" She took big steps to Regina and asked with worry.

"I'm fine. Is it far?"

"What far?"

Regina rolled her eyes.

"The park, Emma. I'm out here now let's just go then. I can't work and won't be coming here for a while." Regina shrugged her shoulders.

"But like you said, you're just out of the hospital. And it's my fault and my selfishness to take you along with me to the store and now the park. I totally forgot what the doctor instructed. Let's head back so you can rest, Regina."

Her lips were in a frown, she was sad that she couldn't take Regina to the park. But the baby's health had to come first.

Emma tried to smile but her eyes won't meet with it as Regina looked deeply into her eyes.

"Emma. I'll be home all day with nothing to do for the week to come. Let's go since we're already out. It's fine."

"Really?! You're feeling fine, right? Not hurting anywhere?" Emma asked

"Yes. At least not now." Regina mumbled while looking down.

"Are you sure?"

"Are you going to take me there or not!?" Regina snapped

"Alright! The park is not far from here it was a block away. If it's far I wouldn't take you there."

Emma smiled as she started to feel a little bit better now that Regina was fine and she was excited to show Regina the park.

Regina walked alongside Emma once again. Regina let out a deep sigh as she could breathe again and she didn't know why the blonde's bad mood also affected her.

It was a short walk indeed.

Regina was now sitting on the bench beside the path in the park. The sun was getting down and the view in front of her was beautiful.

While Emma stood beside her, taking the view with the phone in hand. Then the blonde turned her head back to look at her and smiled.

Her breath shuddered slightly at the soft smile on Emma's face. The blonde looked beautiful in this sunlight, her blonde hair was in a loose curl over her shoulder. Regina was back to herself as she heard Emma's voice.

"Take a photo with me."

Regina couldn't find a quick excuse fast enough to refuse the blonde so she came up with it.

"No! I'm…fat!"

"Fine!"

Regina winced at her excuse. As Emma just walked off taking the view around her.

Really? All of the excuses, That was all she could think about?!

She rubbed her stomach again at the feeling of insecurity about her body was brought up. She was glad that the blonde didn't continue to beg for a photo together.

Regina was not ready, and would never be.

She tightened her grip on the edge of the bench. She had to stop getting her emotions all over the place, it started the day Emma stayed with her day and night at the hospital and took care of her.

Not long she caught a scent of the blonde's perfume in the air and looked up as Emma went to sit beside her on the couch, with a cup of ice cream in hand.

Regina raised her eyebrow at that.

"You just ate sweet?" Regina asked

"Hmm, I want to eat this flavor when I saw it I couldn't resist." The blonde scooped up the blue cream and put it into her mouth.

Regina poked her head over to look inside Emma's cup.

The ice cream was blue…with lots of sprinkles in it, she winced with disgust. But deep inside she missed the banoffee that the blonde couldn't finish.

No, she couldn't let her pride go just for a simple treat.

"What's with that face?"

Emma asked as she saw Reina's face shift while trying to take a glance at her ice cream. Emma was sad Regina didn't take a photo with her. But she didn't dwell on it since the opportunity to take the photo was still yet to come.

"What flavors is this?"

"Bubblegum, wanna try?"

Emma smacked her lips together and handed her cup to Regina.

"No. You eat it." Regina said with a horrified look on her face

She pushed the cup back to Emma and looked out in front of her again at the small brushes lined along the pathwalk.

It was a little beautiful flower, but the scent was not as strong as it carried with the wind.

Her beautiful view was cut off by the small spoon that contained that disgusting blue cream on it, as the blonde shoved it in front of her face.

Regina turned to glare at Emma.

"Try this. I want our baby to have a taste of this." Emma said.

"No."

"Reginaa! If the baby comes, I know you must be the strict mom and won't let her eat something sweet for sure. At least let her taste this while she's in your stomach then. It's good, pleasee?"

Regina narrowed her eyes at the accusation.

"You're exaggerating! And who said I'm going to be the strict mom?! Maybe it was you because a Casanova and a player like you must be protective over her little girl, I'm sure."

Regina sneered, she caressed her belly again when she felt the baby fluttered lightly.

"Huh? Where did you get that idea from? But it might be true since thinking about her growing up and imagining someone flirting with her was too much! I already don't want anyone to come near her at this point, Regina! I won't allow it."

Emma fumed beside her and Regina almost let out a laugh but didn't.

As the blonde moved the spoon closer to her face. Regina tried to lean her head back with a horrifying look on her face still.

"Miss Swan! Stop acting like a child!"

"Try it first, Regina! I'll stop."

"You're gonna make the sugar in my blood too high."

"It just a little bit, it won't affect anything. I want our baby to taste this, seriously."

Regina looked into green eyes and her heart felt soft at the mention of their baby.

She hated it when the blonde used that word, it was not fair that every time she heard it, it made her softer and slowly gave in.

"Alright, Fine! You have to stop hassling me." Regina glared at the blonde who nodded eager for her to try.

Regina wrapped her lips around the little spoon.

The first thing she tasted was sweet and then the tutti fruity flavor bursted in her mouth as the cream melted on her tongue.

The scent was like sweet bubblegum. There was a crunchy texture to the popping candy inside as well.

It was not bad but she chose not to eat it if she could.

Regina licked her upper lips as the taste of light sweet still lingered on her lips as it touched the spoon earlier. She shuddered slightly at the puffing air against the side of her ear.

"It's good, right?"

Emma's voice was breathless when she turned to meet the blonde's eyes.

Their faces were inches apart.

Regina put her tongue back in its home immediately and noticed the blonde's eyes shift down to her lips.

Emma reached out one hand to wipe the hair that blew past her nose out of her face and tucked it behind her ear.

"It was alright, I guess." Regina rasped out and cleared her throat as it suddenly tightened at the closeness.

"I'm glad you don't hate it." The blonde grinned.

Regina turned back to face forward and watch as the sun was setting down indeed. It was a beautiful sight, the soft orange color cut through the clear blue sky.

"Can I ask for something, Regina?" Emma prompted softly against Regina's ear, not wanting to spook the quite calm brunette.

Regina abruptly turned to face the blonde with curiosity.

"What?"

"Can I sleep with you?"

"Miss Swan, How dare you say that to my face?" Regina gasped and then glared at the blonde, the beautiful moment was ruined just for this nonsense.

"Oh, I'm not-! Regina I was asking to be in the same room with you since I want to keep an eye on you both. If something happens to you then I can assist you quickly! You don't have to go downstairs to get me."

Regina raised her eyebrow at the rambling blonde.

"You're overreacting again! I can take care of myself just fine. You're taking a mile over something small that happened today." Regina rolled her eyes.

"Please, I could sleep on the couch in your room or on the floor! I don't care! I just want to be close to you in case anything happens."

"Nothing's gonna happen to me! So no."

"You can think about my offer? Take the time I don't mind. But please do it before the baby comes." Emma grinned.

Regina was silenced and looked back to the sunset.

It would not be a good idea to let Emma stay in the same room as her. The blonde was insufferable enough as it was if she were to stay close to the blonde. She didn't think she could survive…

Her body trembled slightly, due to the cold weather or other reasons, she didn't know.

Regina was wearing only a sweater and dress.

"Let's head back. It started to get cold, I don't want you and the baby to get sick." Emma said.

Regina flushed when she heard Emma's voice and didn't say anything back. She stood up and followed Emma back to the car.
