Here's another chapter of the rework, each chapter slowly gets closer to smut or something.

"What happened this time?"
"Why does it matter, Issei?" He asked as he closed the book he was reading. But all he could think about was last night, and he wondered what he could have done differently as he skimmed over the words.
"Cause I know you like an open book," Issei explained, pointing out details that he noticed about his friend, which caused Ichigo to stare at him. "Whenever something happens that you don't like, you end up burying your nose in a book and thinking about it under the guise of reading, or you go all stoic like you're doing now and dismissive of people."
Ichigo stared at Issei, wondering if his mood was that obvious to his friend. Letting out a sigh, Issei grinned, knowing he had hit the nail on the head. "So what's the problem? Girls rejected you or something? Don't worry about it; it's just one fish in the sea if you ask me. I got some good pornos if you want to watch them later if that will cheer you up."
"No."
"Go make some friends then to try and cheer yourself up," Issei replied, trying to think of ways Ichigo could cheer himself up, realizing that Ichigo usually got himself out of these stumps of his by himself, but he didn't know what he did to get out of these in the first place. "Why don't you talk to Manabu since he's hiring you? Get to know him or something? You're not giving me much to work with here."
"Let me be in peace," Ichigo said, trying to pick up the book he had. Issei acted faster than him, picking it up, going through the pages, and exploring its contents.
"Where are the pictures?" Issei asked as he held them up on the side, looking for images of nude females or heroes fighting. "Ichigo, you know that these are supposed to help you hide dirty magazines, right? You're not supposed to read the words inside of them."
"You're going to keep doing this till I get up and go talk to someone, aren't you," Ichigo said, staring at Issei as he smiled back at him. His brown eyes filled with mirth and care.
"Maybe," Issei said as Ichigo huffed to himself, not liking what Issei was doing but knowing that it would be easier to stand and walk away to do something other than sitting here.
"Fine, I'll talk to Manabu if that makes you happy."
"Excuse me, are you Ichigo Kurosaki?" Someone asked, drawing his attention away from Issei and towards a female classmate who wanted his attention.
"Yeah?" Ichigo asked, wondering what she wanted as he ignored Issei, giving him a thumbs up and mouthing him to go for it. He saw Issei mouthing make a friend to him from across the desk.
"Uh, you and Manabu," She said, reaching into her bag and pulling her cell phone out. A picture on the screen as she showed it to him caused him to choke on his spit and Issei to fall on his desk laughing. "Are you two in a relationship?"
Ichigo recovered from the shock that question sent him into as he looked at the picture that Matsuda had taken a day ago. He almost forgot about the accident cause of what happened last night, that was until he heard the whispers and rumors spreading when he arrived today. Along with Gudako smirking at him and commenting about it. He couldn't help but feel she helped fan the flames of the rumor. "No, we are not. He fell, and I caught him. That's all that happened."
He watched as she nodded in understanding, before rushing off towards a group of girls in their class, already telling them what he said. The group not being quiet at all. Issei started laughing again to himself as they overheard what they were saying.
"What did he say?"
"He's protecting Manabu's honor," The girl said to her friends as Ichigo's face blanched at what she was saying. "Do you think he's going to meet up with him later?"
"Have the unit in Manabu's class keep watch on him," One of the girl's friends said to her, the rest nodding in agreement. "We'll make lots of money if we manage to get more photos."
"Wow, I didn't know you were such a gentleman and were protecting someone's honor," Issei teased him. The brown-haired teen tried to hold in more of his laughter before failing. "Why don't you go meet up with him and talk?" Issei continued teasing, finding the situation now too humorous.
"Exuse me is Ichigo Kurosaki here?" Someone said from the entryway, another student, from the looks of it. Though he couldn't tell who it was, only that they had blonde hair.
"Yo Yuuto, what do you need?" Ichigo asked, wondering what the blonde wanted from him. Ichigo found it a little strange so many people were calling his name out today.
"Yo Kurosaki," Yuuto shot back to the orange-haired student. Ichigo lazily waved to him as the brown-haired classmate in front of him glared at him. "Sōsuke-sensei would like to speak with you."
"What for?" Ichigo asked not having a clue why Sōsuke-sensei would want to speak with him.
"If I knew, I would tell you," Yuuto answered before leaving Ichigo's classroom.
"You too know each other?" Issei said through gritted teeth.
"Yeah I think we met in the kendo club like a couple of weeks ago, maybe," Ichigo answered as he tried to remember when he met Yuuto and wondered why Issei seemed to dislike him. The dude was decent if someone had to ask him about what he thought of the blonde. "He's not a bad guy if you asked me."
"Yeah sure he isn't a bad guy he's just Yuuto Kiba one of the many handsome princes here in Kuoh. He's my rival. All the girls are in love with his appearance and personality, but when they see me, they cry in horror and call me a pervert," Issei yelled, slamming his fist against Ichigo's desk. "It's not fair, damn it."
"That last part is true though," Ichigo said in agreement as he stood up, wondering if Issei had dropped the issue from earlier. He patted Issei on the back as he cried to himself—muttering about how life isn't fair to him and his fellow perverts.
"Shut up and just go see what Sōsuke-sensei wants you for," Issei told him, brushing him off as he went back to moping, not before shooting one more comment at Ichigo. "After that, I expect a full report on Manabu taste in women."
"I hate you."
"No, you don't."
Ichigo shrugged in response as he left. Exiting the classroom, he thought about what would have happened if he had agreed to what Ritsuka asked him. Part of him wished that he hadn't even gone in the first place, and another part wished he stayed with his friend. It felt like he was being torn in two trying to make the right decision. He couldn't stop living in the past.
He stopped his train of thought as he peeked his head into the staff room, quickly spotting Sōsuke-sensei as he looked up from his desk and waved him over. Passing the other senseis that Kuoh employed, he stood near one of the most popular ones in the school. Everyone, when asked about him, only had good things to say.
"Kurosaki-san, thank you for coming," Sōsuke said to him, his chair turned to face him. The man's square glasses reflected the light as it shined through the window. His brown hair combed into what he would guess a sophisticated scholar would have from ancient times. "Do you know why I asked for you?" Sōsuke-sensei didn't say anything after the question, just staring at him, waiting for him to talk and explain why he was here in front of him.
"I can explain the whole situation about Manabu," Ichigo said, not wanting a misunderstanding to happen between them.
"Do tell."
And he did. He told Sōsuke-sensei what happened that day in the stairwell about how Manabu tripped and he caught him before the picture was taken along with how Matsuda and Motohama. He didn't tell him about what he did to the two of them and where they were spying earlier that day. They had a certain amount of trust in each other, a code among them to not snitch on each other.
"Interesting, so it does align with what Manabu-san told me earlier."
"Huh?"
"He didn't tell you?" Sōsuke-sensei matter of factly. His eyes glued directly onto him as he talked like he was being studied by the man in front of him.
"Nope," Ichigo said in response guessing he should go talk to Manabu after this after all, since he helped him. "So why am I here then?"
"You haven't figured it out yet?"
"Well I haven't gotten into any fights so," Ichigo stated knowing the last time he got into a fight he received an ear full about it even if it was in self-defense. "I don't really have the slightest idea, to be honest with you, Sōsuke-sensei."
He watched as his sensei sighed pushing up his glasses like he was disappointed in him, instead of the answer he gave. How was he supposed to know why he was called? The only two things that came to mind were not the case for why he was here so what was it?
"You can go now," Sōsuke-sensei said to him, as his confusion rose even higher in response.
"That's it? You call me here and then tell me to leave? What was the point of all of this?" Ichigo shot to Sōsuke.
"Yes, is there a problem with that?"
"No, not at all," Ichigo said through gritted teeth, annoyed by Sōsuke-sensei. The man was getting on his nervous when he usually didn't. Standing up, he turned around before Sōsuke spook up.
"I've changed my mind sit please I'll tell you why I called you here after all," Sōsuke-sensei said smiling at Ichigo, the sunlight reflecting off of his glasses, like this was all a game to him.
Ichigo did as he was told; sitting in the chair, he pushed back. His left eye twitched in anger at being jerked around. 'What was the point of all of this,' he thought, 'Some kind of sick game for his amusement?'
"What is your goal?"
"Really, this again?" Ichigo almost yelled out of frustration, remembering the last time they had had this talk. He listed down everything he saw for the future he had. "English Translator or teacher."
"That's not a goal I'm talking about," Sōsuke-sensei said, folding his hands together. It took a second before he spoke again. The man collected his words to use each one carefully like it was a game of chess. "What I'm talking about is a goal like your friend Issei."
"No."
"You didn't even listen to what I had to say."
"I don't care I'm not starting a damn harem," Ichigo said, flabbergasted that Sōsuke-sensei would think that he would share the same goal as Issei.
"No, what I mean in terms of his goal is that it's goal like a dream," Sōsuke-sensei replied, waiting for him to calm down. "You wanting to be an English translator or teacher isn't in the same boat. Those are answers to where you see yourself after Kuoh. Not a goal, mind you."
Ichigo scratched his head in thought at hearing what Sōsuke-sensei said to him. Did he have a goal now that he thought about it? He just went day by day wondering how to make some money, or he would hang out with one of his friends. "You don't have to answer right this moment, but I would like you to ponder it."
Ichigo nodded at what Sōsuke-sensei told him, almost making him forget about last night as he pondered the question. "You can leave now."
"Cool," Ichigo responded as he got up and walked out of the room, pushing past other students as he thought about what to do now. Maybe he should follow Issei's advice and talk to Manabu. But he didn't have the slightest idea how to get in contact with him. Perhaps Yuuta could help him if he knew where the blonde was.
"How did the meeting go?"
Ichigo jumped a little as the aforementioned blonde walked up behind him as he walked down the hallway, Yuuto came up with a disarming smile on his face. "Speak of the devil, it went good."
"Hmm."
"What?" Ichigo asked, knowing that it couldn't be this obvious that he wasn't in a good mood.
"Didn't say anything," Yuuto said, smiling at Ichigo causing the orange-haired friend of his to sigh. "So, how was the meeting?"
"It went fine, I guess," Ichigo answered, rubbing the back of his head, stopping in the hall as he moved to the side. "Something about a goal wasn't fully there."
"Want to explain it? Maybe I can help you," Yuuto said as he leaned against the railing waiting for Ichigo's response.
"Sure," Ichigo said, having nothing to lose if he explained it to Yuuto, and so he did. His friend nodded his head and he listened to what he had to say. "So that's about it. Any ideas."
"Nope," Yuuto said, seeing Ichigo drop his head at the word he replied with. "But maybe if we spared again, you can think of something."
"So that's why you were still around after my meeting. You wanted to have another go again?" Ichigo said, surprised that Yuuto would want to have another spar in the kendo club. Most of the time, it involved Yuuto winning against him, but sometimes he managed to get a win just barely. "I'm good, don't want to be sore in the morning, maybe another time, okay?
"I'll pay."
Ichigo stared at the blonde, who just smiled at him, he knew that Yuuto knew about him selling his skills to any club that would pay. "What makes you think I'll accept?"
"Simple you're contract is up with the soccer club, so why not resign a contract with the kendo club for a little bit?"
"One, you're not the kendo club, and two, I don't need more rumors spreading about me. Already have enough dealing with people thinking me and Manabu are something or some weird shit their spreading."
"I can also tell you were to find Manabu's club, which is where he would likely be."
"How did you know about that?" Ichigo asked as he tried to remember when he told Yuuto that.
"You told me when you were explaining your situation to me. You mentioned that Issei said you should talk to Manabu," Yuuto answered as Ichigo looked deep in thought about what was offered to him.
"Did I?" Ichigo said, questioning himself. Was he just so out of it that he didn't remember what he said, or was Yuuto eavesdropping on him? He shoved those thoughts from his mind knowing that the blonde had no reason to eavesdrop on him. "Fine. I guess you got yourself a deal then."
"Cool," Yuuto said as he started walking away. "Come on, follow me."
Ichigo did as he was asked, following after Yuto as they made their way around Kuoh, up the stairs, and down multiple hallways. Ichigo tried to remember the path until it got more confusing the harder he tried. The two of them stopped in front of a plain-looking door with the name of what he had to guess was the club Manabu was a part of. Ichigo wondered why it was the old art room, remembering how the school needed to remodel it a couple of years ago, the construction never being finished, and the facility deciding to just build a new wing for Kuoh instead. His eyes read over the rusty and worn name on the wooden door.
Pretty Boy Detective Club
"Maybe this was a mistake after all," Ichigo said as he reread the name, hoping he read it wrong the first time. Yuuto didn't not giving him a chance to second guess himself as he knocked on the door.
"Good luck with them when they all get back," Yuuto said not giving Ichigo a chance to stop him as he turned around, leaving him there. "They can be a handful if everyone is here, but you should be able to handle one of them."
"What?" Ichigo said, watching as Yuuto left him alone in the hallway. His steps getting further away by the second. "Oi don't just say something like that and leave!" He yelled, not noticing the door opening in front of him.
"Ichigo?"
"Yo," Ichigo answered as he looked at Manabu, his blue eyes curious, seemingly trying to piece together why he was in front of his club room before the cleaning date. "Can I come in?"
"Sure, I was just going over some stuff," Manabu answered, opening the door all the way and letting Ichigo walk in. "What brings you here?"
"I don't know. Issei told me to come talk to you to make a friend or something like that," Ichigo answered. He shrugged his shoulders at the question. He entered the room, stopping in his tracks as he took in his surroundings. "What the hell."
"Most of the guests who visit for the first time react this way," Manabu said as he walked by Ichigo.
"I can see why," Ichigo said, looking at the room. The floors were covered in luxurious rugs instead of the regular wood that was in the hallway, and instead of the lights that hung from the ceilings that hung from the ceiling, they were replaced by two chandeliers. The desk that would have been in the room was removed, and in its place stood an elegant, heavy table along with a couple of sofas that looked more plush than his cat. The table had an intricately embroidered tablecloth that he almost thought was someone's wedding veil. His eyes moved to the walls covered in what looked like fresh wallpaper and the paintings hanging on them looking too familiar to the original pieces of art he'd seen in magazines. His attention turned to the canopied bed in the room, resembling what someone would see in a luxury hotel in a movie.
"Why the hell do you have a bed in here? Also, shouldn't you hire a professional to clean this place?"
"That would raise too many questions," Manabu stated, a little dumbfounded that the first thing Ichigo had to say about the room was about the bed, as he made his way back to his spot on the sofa, looking over some of the letters he received. "Something seems off about you everything okay?"
Ichigo's eye twitched at the third person, asking him if everything was okay before he sighed in defeat maybe it would be best to tell this person he had just met his current problems. "What gave it away?"
"Maybe the giant sign above you saying kinda depressed right now," Manabu said as he pointed to a spot in the air behind Ichigo, causing him to look over his shoulder just in case it was real.
"Made you look," Manabu said from his position on the sofa, motioning Ichigo to come over. "Anyway, if you want to talk about it as I go over these, feel free to. Maybe I can think of a way to help you, but it'll cost you."
Ichigo raised an eyebrow at that surprised someone wanted him to pay. Even if it was jokingly, it was oddly refreshing to him. "So you want me to pay you for your body? Okay, I'm done. How much?"
He watched as Manabu's face flushed a little at the insinuation that Ichigo made, the orange-haired tene a little surprised at how he looked before kicking the feelings away.
"A favor."
"A favor? Like just cleaning this room type favor or something else?" Ichigo asked, wondering why it would be a favor out of all things. Taking a seat across from the other teen, he asked what it meant.
"Maybe, but more of an I owe you type," Manabu said, grinning at Ichigo. "Maybe I'll ask you to watch a client of my club for me or something else; it's all for the future to decide."
"Fine," Ichigo replied, not thinking too much of it. "So what do I get with paying you a favor?"
"You get the great Manabu's ear to listen to your problems, Ichigo!"
"Huh, neat," Ichigo replied, looking down at the table and cup of tea. "So you want to know everything or just straight to the point?"
"Why a great listener such as myself would need to know everything to help you with your problem," Manabu said pouring another cup of tea and pushing it towards Ichigo. Making a mental note to ask Akeno for more later during a meeting.
Ichigo explained everything to Manabu starting from the very beginning, telling him every little detail and not missing a beat. The blue-eyed boy did not interrupt him but only nodded at every detail given to him. His face turned red as soon as he got to the explicit activities he had gotten into with two of his friends.
"So I think I might have caught feelings for those two even after I decided about not catching feelings," Ichigo finished explaining all his interactions with Manabu, the teen's face as red as a tomato.
"Ichigo, when you said everything, I thought you meant like relation to your problem, not your whole life story about how you started to make money and all your activities with those two and others," Manabu said as he looked out the window. His face was flushed from the details that Ichigo shared with him. "Also, why not sleep with someone else who pays to try and get your mind off those two, if that doesn't work, maybe you should listen to what your heart is telling you before it's too late."
Ichigo thought about what Manabu said to him; maybe it would solve his problems with the siblings if he just kept on moving and went with another client before turning his attention to Manabu. "Sounds like you're talking from experience."
Manabu stood up as Ichigo said that, walking over to the sofa that Ichigo was sitting on, and sat down next to him, thinking of what he should say before deciding just to answer the question, wondering what type of reaction it would bring from him, part of him was curious if it would be beautiful or not. "Yeah, I am. She was the most beautiful person ever. Her name was Mayumi Doujima."
Ichigo listened as Manabu talked, paying him the same courtesy that he gave to him even when he didn't have to. His eyes widened in disbelief as he talked about how her eyes were so unique that they could see through walls and people like something straight out of a manga itself. "Wow."
"I know, right?"
"What happened to her?" Ichigo asked wondering how it ended before regretting asking as he saw the sadness in his blue eyes. Showing him that this subject was more hurtful than he had imagined. "Sorry, you don't have to answer that."
"No, it's fine," Manabu said, feeling refreshed by the stranger he had hired. He was supposed to scout out recruits for other devils, but this human was different, almost like her but not at the same time. "We went our different ways. We both had a secret that once it got out it didn't allow her to stay here anymore."
"That sucks," Ichigo replied, not having the words to describe the pain Manabu had to go through accurately.
"Yeah."
"Remember what you told me earlier," Ichigo said, taking a leap of faith, not really thinking of the consequences or such. He relied on instinct alone for this.
"Yea-" Manabu said before he was interrupted, looking up at Ichigo in surprise as his eyes widened before returning the kiss. It was light but just enough for both of them to get a feeling of each other's intentions.
"Maybe we should both take it," Ichigo said as they broke apart, pushing the blue-haired teen down against the sofa.
"Being forward, aren't you?"
"You suggested getting my mind off of the Gudako and Ritsuka to clear my head, and it seems you also need to take the same advice," Ichigo answered as his hands waited at Mananbu's side, waiting to know if Manabu wanted this also. Ichigo seeing him nodding at him, pushed him against the sofa as his lips were captured again.
Their lips mashed against each other in a sloppy manner as Ichigo tried to keep up with Manabu, their tongues sliding against each other as their saliva mixed with one another. He could taste the sweetness of the tea they drank earlier and something else. Manabu pushed Ichigo away from him, breaking the kiss, a trail of saliva connecting the two teens as Manabu took a breath of air.
Ichigo watched as Manabu breathed in and out, his chest heaving up and down in a rhythmic pattern. Seeing his face flushed caused a smirk to cross his face.
The orange-haired teen took this moment to take off his blazer and shirt tossing it on the rug near them, revealing his upper body to Manabu. His toned arms, and his stomach that he gained from all the odd jobs he's done. Manabu took a moment to admire the body before him.
"Enjoying the view?" Ichigo asked as he took in the sight of Manabu beneath him, his blue hair slightly ruffled by the kiss they had, the flush still visible on his face as his eyes glazed over with lust, and his breathing was a little labored.
"Shut up," Manabu responded as he pushed himself back towards Ichigo's lips.
The orange-haired teen was taken off guard by Manabu's boldness that wasn't there before, feeling the other teen's hands roaming over his exposed chest, pinching and twisting his nipples, before moving to his waist and rubbing his cock through his pants.
"Ah, fuck," Ichigo moaned, feeling Manabu's hand rubbing against his cock. The friction from the fabric of his pants created a delicious sensation that hit all the right nerves.
"You like that?" Manabu whispered into Ichigo's ear as his hand continued to rub against his clothed erection.
"Yeah, keep going," Ichigo groaned, feeling Manabu's fingers play with the tip of his cock through his pants before Ichigo decided to mix things up.
He pushed Manabu down against the couch, staring into his blue eyes, his hands working on unbuttoning his vest and taking his shirt off before something unexpected happened.
Ichigo was taken aback both literally and figuratively as a foot connected with his face, knocking him off of the sofa and away from Manabu. "Stay away from the President!"
"President, are you okay?" The voice said as Ichigo stared up at the ceiling, blinking in bewilderment at what had just happened. It wouldn't have been the first time he's been cockblocked, but the way it happened was something else. Sitting up, he saw a mop of blonde hair in his vision, thinking it was Yuuto before seeing what they looked like. His curly blonde hair and shapely legs told him that it wasn't the blonde he initially thought but someone else, plus he was sure Yuuto wouldn't be caught dead wearing short shorts to show off his legs.
"Yeah yeah, I'm okay, Hyouta," Manabu answered, looking up in surprise at Hyouta, having forgotten about the blonde during his brief moments with Ichigo. "Why did you do that?"
"I thought you were in trouble, president!" Hyouta answered as he smirked to himself, unaware he had just killed the moment singlehandedly. "Stay away from him he's still dangerous!"
"You okay?" Manabu asked as he stood over Ichigo, his brown eyes looking up at him as he lay on the luxurious rug ignoring Hyouta.
"Yeah," Ichigo said, rubbing his face as he pushed himself up. Grabbing his blazer and shirt as he did. "Anyway, looks I think it's about time for me to head back to class."
"Do you need help getting there?"
"Nah, I'll manage on my own," Ichigo answered as he ignored the blonde who just kicked him, not in the mood to deal with him. His face was still hurting from the kick. "Anyway, see you later."
Manabu watched as Ichigo left, his eyes turning to the whistling blonde friend and peerage member of his. "So, mind explaining what that was?"
"I thought you were in trouble!"
Manabu just gave his knight a deadpan look before going back to the letters he received, knowing that the underworld would want to know of any potential recruits that could receive from Kuoh Academy.
