Chapter Eight
Serana
Evelynn finally looked back to her old self. Well, sort of. Herself, with the smallest fangs in her smile. Serana watched as she pulled on her boot. She hadn't bothered with any armor, simply donning a pair of those soft leather pants and a white sleeveless shirt. Leather bracers on her wrists, she couldn't be completely exposed, of course. Her chaotic just-fucked hair was a beautiful frame to her face and Serana resisted the urge to moan at the sight.
"Can we run? I'm sure Dusk is aching to stretch his legs." Her enthusiasm was infectious.
Serana laughed. "Just him, huh?"
Evelynn shrugged and ran a hand through her wild mane of hair, her shirt lifting ever so slightly to hint at that flat, toned midriff. Serana licked her lips. Then shook her head.
"Yes. Let's run. Before I hold you captive for another day."
Evelynns' ears flushed scarlet. "You really aren't tired? There's still a couple of hours before sunset."
"Are you tired?"
Evelynn shook her head. "No."
"Do you really think I would give you a potion without taking it myself first to ensure it was safe?"
"So… Elgrim just… had these potions? Where did they come from?"
Serana shrugged. "I'm guessing he made them. I bought the recipe from him." She dug out the paper and handed it to Evelynn.
Evelynn tucked the paper into her bag and straightened herself up. "Alright. Let's get to Dawnguard."
Dusk was expectedly cranky, Serana hadn't paid much personal attention to him as she was obsessing over Evelynn. The Nord man at the stables chastised her for his biting and threatened to charge a fee.
"I paid you triple what any of your horses are worth to care for these horses, including exercise. It's clear that you neglected that part of his care. If I were so inclined, I could take my pound of flesh from you and be done with it. Do not push me, sir." She thought she'd said it rather politely, but the man cowered and stuttered some generic apology before scampering away again.
Evelynn stared at her with a strange look on her face.
"What?" Serana looked down at her clothes, just basic pants and a red blouse.
Evelynn shook her head. "You're just hot when you do that."
"Do what?"
Evelynn laughed. "Intimidate the local riffraff." She was sounding so pleasantly normal that Serana smiled too.
"Do I intimidate you?" Evelynn was her favorite style of riffraff.
"Oh, absolutely." Evelynns' grin was bright and adorable in the evening light.
"Does that mean it's hot, then?"
"It's excruciating." Evelynn threw her head back, exposing her throat, and mockingly cringed in pain, her breasts jutting out in her soft shirt.
Serana just stared at her figure. So open. So vulnerable. Whispers in her ear to take her, but they no longer frightened her. Lust tugged at her core and she bit her lip, gripping Dawns' saddle for stability.
Evelynn met her gaze and straightened up. "Too much?"
Serana exhaled slowly. "Not if your goal is to tempt me to take you in the stables."
"Oh that's just not fair." Evelynns' eyes shined darkly and she licked her lips.
Serana laughed. "Come on, Dovahkiin. The world needs saving. I'll fuck you later, if you're good."
Evelynn groaned at her promise and mounted her horse, who was huffing impatiently. Dusk made his way out of the stables, jumping slightly at the doorway, effectively knocking Evelynns' head into the rafter.
"Ahh! You bell end! I'm sorry I got sick, okay?" Evelynn rubbed her head and kicked him forward, away from possible scrubbing points. "Fast as you want, then will you forgive me?"
Serana couldn't help but laugh at the mighty Dovahkiin, arguing with a Colt. She slung her leg over Dawn and urged her to follow. Evelynn looked humble, yet powerful, up on her horse. She seemed to command him more with her thighs than the reins. Serana was shamelessly ogling the Imperial. Evelynn had claimed her. They'd claimed each other. They were so tangled in each others' lives now, and Serana could think of nowhere else she'd rather be.
Dusk slammed his hooves down into a dead sprint once they were far enough from the gates of the city. Dawns' run was more graceful, but just as fast. The way Evelynn stood in the stirrups, leaning forward, to cushion the impact was… entrancing. She generally looked fairly lean and delicate, but the soft leather stretched over her legs to show the solid rippling muscle and it was difficult for Serana to stay focused on the task ahead. Her backside swaying and bouncing inches from the saddle. It wasn't a long trip to Dawnguard from Riften, and Dusks' restlessness was sure to get them there in no time. Serana was disappointed that her enticing show would be cut short.
Evelynn
Of course. Of fucking course now that they had the damn scrolls, the fancy priest was blind. Evelynn kicked a particularly large rock across the path in frustration. Back and forth, back and forth. Everything has to be so painfully inconvenient. She was growing more jealous of her dragon rivals and their ability to fucking fly.
Evelynn screamed aggravated profanities to the skies. They'd made so little progress and now she was to go off to fuck knows where to play with butterflies? Fucks' sake. Even with the potion, the afternoon sun was nagging at Evelynns' sanity.
Out at the stables in Dayspring Canyon, just out of view from the fort, Serana pinned Evelynn back against the stone cliff.
"What–"
"You're angry. I want to help, but more than anything… gods you smell delicious." Serana ran her nose along Evelynns' throat.
"My Love, this really isn't the best place…" but Evelynn was running her fingers through Seranas' silky hair.
"I know." Lips murmured against her neck before pressing a kiss, causing Evelynn to shiver.
Seranas' hand slid up under Evelynns' shirt, gliding smoothly over her skin, and softly caressed Evelynns' breast. Evelynn squirmed, her anxieties quieting. Serana hummed in approval as she trailed her fingers back down Evelynns' stomach, teasing at the waist of her pants. Serana sealed her lips to the skin of her neck, and Evelynn felt herself give in.
"There. Much better." Serana pulled back, leaving her aching.
Evelynn staggered, mouth agape, staring at her Nord. Serana simply flashed her fangs and winked. Evelynn exhaled in exasperation, ran her hand through her hair.
"North." A new frustration settling in.
Serana giggled and pulled Dawn from her stall. "North it is, my Thane."
Evelynn rolled her eyes.
Ancestor Glade was west, but north around the mountain range would be easier on the horses. And with all their time in caves and such, Evelynn still had quite a bit of stash to sell. She'd already cleaned out the merchants in Riften, several times, over the past weeks. They'd stop in Whiterun, make use of the merchants there. But, fucks' sake, it was going to take a while to get there. Evelynn hoped this new potion would let her travel during the day again. They'd packed everything onto the horses, so they could skip right over Riften and cut a little time out of their travels.
Evelynn attempted to shake off the discomfort in her pants as she mounted her colt. The saddle had an… interesting effect on her predicament.
"You're not going to put on your armor for the journey?" Serana trotted up beside her.
"That armor sucks." Evelynn couldn't hide her disdain. She needed to get to a forge.
"As do you now, My Love." Seranas' low voice twisted Evelynns' abdomen even more.
Evelynn rolled her eyes and kicked Dusk forward.
Serana
The effects of the rest potions were an incredible relief. Evelynn had been her normal self the past few days. A little cranky during daylight hours, but not unmanageable. It was just sunset as they arrived at Whiterun and Evelynns' mood was already picking up for the evening. Evelynn had been eager to craft herself some new armor, which was sorely needed, judging by the tears in her linen shirt and the ripped pants exposing her knee.
"No no no no no… come on." Evelynn practically sprinted through the city, Serana barely keeping up.
"Hey, what's the rush?" Serana struggled to keep her breathing even.
Evelynn reached a building and yanked on the door, but it wouldn't budge.
"Belathor, you mangy cunt! It's barely even sunset!"
Serana barely concealed her humor. "Problem?"
"He's… the only general goods merchant." Evelynn ran her hand through her wind blown hair and kicked the door.
A guard looked over and tightened his grip on his sword. Evelynn raised her hands and backed off.
"Fuck…"
"Can it wait until the morning?"
"I suppose it'll have to. Except Belathor doesn't get his lazy arse moving until about noon!" She yelled towards the door.
Serana laughed. "Are there any other merchants open this time of day?"
"Not really." Evelynn sighed. "Would you like the inn or…?"
"What the fuck have you done to yourself!?" Serana bristled at the stranger's voice.
Evelynn whipped around toward the voice. "Aela… hi…"
"Don't 'hi' me, what the fuck have you done?" The red haired woman, done up in war paint, advanced fast on Evelynn.
Serana moved toward them, feeling suddenly extremely territorial. Evelynn put her hand up. "Aela, it's not what you think…"
Aela raised her hand, and slapped Evelynn. Hard. Fuck this. Serana charged the woman, body checking her away from Evelynn. Serana gently lifted Evelynns' chin, inspecting the angry red welt on her cheek.
Kill her.
Serana hadn't noticed the growl resonating from her chest.
"You threw away your gift for this? Are you fucking kidding me Evelynn?" The woman was coming towards them again.
"You've got three seconds to back the fuck off…" Serana was shaking with rage, losing her grip on the change threatening to burst.
"Will you guys please just calm down? Aela, just let me explain. Please."
"Evelynn, you know how this works. I'll meet you in five minutes." Aela walked off, but Serana saw her favoring her ribs. Good.
Evelynn sighed. "I'm sorry… I have to go. You're welcome to go wait at the house. I'll be asking–"
"I am not leaving you alone right now, Evelynn." Rage was still boiling inside her along with the whispers.
Kill.
"Look, it's okay. I have to deal with this." Evelynn touched her face softly.
Serana shook out of her grasp. "You're not going alone."
"You can't kill her…"
Serana huffed, exasperated. "She won't live if she hurts you."
"It's going to hurt a little, My Love. It's supposed to. It's nothing I can't handle."
"Lead the way." Serana felt cold. Calculated.
"Please… just. Let me handle this." Evelynn headed up the stairs.
Serana couldn't stop scrutinizing everything. She was supposed to be safe here, for Bloods' sake. Evelynn seemed to want to do… whatever the fuck she was about to do. But Serana would not allow her Wolf to be hurt.
Evelynn led her to… was that a ship? The Companions really did build Jorrvaskr out of the ship…
"Around back…" Evelynn went around the right side of the building. "Shit… I guess everyone is in attendance. Word travels fast…"
Attendance? For what?
"Brothers and Sisters." Serana could hear the redheads voice. "Our fearless Harbinger returns. But you might notice some… differences. You all know why we're here. Witness this trial, and judge accordingly."
Evelynn dropped her bag and stepped out into the open. There were many faces. Most appeared confused. A select few twisted their expression in disgust. One face, that of a Nord man, remained truly neutral. Evelynn… smiled at him?
Seranas' possessiveness was on high alert as the man approached her silently.
"Just. Wait here. Please." Evelynn squeezed her hand before she headed to the… arena? Alone.
"Are you ready, sister?" The redhead spat the last word.
Evelynn took a deep breath before raising both hands, beckoning the redhead towards her.
The redhead yelled in exertion as she lunged at Evelynn. Serana instinctively took a step forward. A large, iron like hand firmly gripped her shoulder. "My money's on Evelynn." His gruff voice was almost… friendly. Soothing.
Evelynn casually sidestepped the redhead and turned. Serana could see her face. Focused, but at ease. Aela countered with a sweep kick, which Evelynn jumped to avoid.
"You should've called on Vilkas, you'd have a better chance." Evelynn grinned.
Aela swung wildly, barely missing Evelynns' temple. Evelynn laughed… she actually laughed.
"Don't tell me you've gone soft?"
Aela was a flurry of fists, which Evelynn continued to parry. One punch connected hard with Evelynns' mouth. Evelynn turned her head to spit. Blood. Serana growled.
"Watch this." The Nord man mumbled near her ear.
Evelynn smiled red. "There she is. That's better."
It was difficult to follow the explosion of violence that followed. Serana had not seen Evelynns' primal, animalistic violence yet. This was… something. More blood filled the air and Serana was struggling with so many emotions and sensations.
"I yield. I yield!" Aela was on her knees on the ground, blood dripping from her nose and eyebrow.
Evelynn reached out and… helped her to her feet.
"You may speak." Aela granted, begrudgingly.
"In the Harbingers Quarters? Please?"
Aela huffed and stalked off into the upturned ship.
"It's over, okay? No more fighting. I'm sorry, My Love."
Instinctively, Serana raised her hand to heal the wound on Evelynns' lip.
Evelynn laughed and took her hand instead. "I have to go speak with her now. Please, come in. Farkas can fill you in on some things. I'll only be a moment."
Evelynn kissed her softly, the blood igniting a fire on Seranas' lips. And just as quickly, Evelynn was gone, disappearing into the building.
"It's probably best if you stick with me while they get things sorted out." The large man said. Farkas.
"Does this happen often?" Serana said as she licked her lips. She'd missed the taste, having refused to really drink from Evelynn since she'd been infected.
"Brawls? It happens sometimes. Though we don't really see Evelynn often anymore." There was something tugging at his words.
"You miss her."
Farkas nodded. "She's a good friend."
"You don't seem as angry as some of the others."
He shrugged and headed towards the door. "I don't know what happened. I don't need to know. I know her. I trust her. Aela is… a bit more hot headed."
The anger flared inside Serana again at the name, making her almost stumble as she followed Farkas onto the deck. As they walked past another large, dark haired Nord man, Farkas held out his hand expectantly. The other man grumbled, but dropped coin into Farkas' palm.
"What was that about?" Serana asked as they entered.
The man smiled. "I told you. My money was on Evelynn."
Inside smelled of warmth and food and sweat. And even a bit of blood. That familiar forest smell lingered in the air, almost overwhelming among the rest of the scents. The main hall was fairly small, and filled with long banquet tables in the center. The outer deck had benches and weapons racks. An old woman sat off to the side, mumbling complaints to herself.
Farkas sat on one of the benches, making some kind of gesture with his hand. "We should probably stay out of the way while this gets sorted."
Serana sat beside him. She felt oddly comfortable in his company. The old woman came over with a too-sweet smile, handing Farkas two tankards. He thanked her, and she walked away, grumbling some more. Farkas handed Serana one of the tankards.
She looked at him quizzically, and took a sip. And choked.
Farkas laughed. "It's not the best tasting, but it's the strongest mead you'll find."
Serana shot him a sour look before taking another, intentionally deep gulp. She'd need something strong if she was to deal with whatever shite Evelynn had found herself in.
"You've known her long?"
Farkas nodded. "I was among the first people she met here. She wouldn't show it, but I could see how scared she was. She's been a good friend to have. The best person I know."
Serana nodded, and took another drink. "I know what you mean."
"How did the two of you meet?"
Serana stilled, unsure of exactly how much to tell this strangely kind brute. "She… rescued me."
Farkas barked a laugh. "Yeah. That sounds about right."
They drank quietly together for a while. Seranas' tankard was empty, and her head was starting to swim. He was right, the taste was terrible, but it was strong.
"Just. Be good to her. I don't envy you, should anything happen to her." His casual, sorrowful threat caressed Seranas' soul.
"I don't either…" her voice was barely a whisper.
The two women emerged from a door, arms over shoulders, laughing. They each had a tankard in their hands. Serana bristled at their approach.
"Aela, this is My Serana." Serana blushed at the introduction, completely at war with the hostility inside her.
"Serana, this is Aela, my… mother, for all intents and purposes." Evelynn knocked back the last of her drink.
Well… that was certainly not what Serana had expected.
Evelynn
"Will you please not tell people I'm your mother?"
Evelynn shrugged. "You're the closest thing I have to one."
Evelynn tried not to notice the look Serana shot at her. Evelynn didn't need pity. She flagged down Tilma for more mead. Her lip was actually pretty sore, she was beginning to question giving Aela a free shot. But Aela needed it. Evelynn had tarnished Aelas' blood in her veins. The mead was helping but she'd likely need to… feed. Soon. She let out a deep breath and thanked Tilma, as she refilled her cup. The old woman smiled before taking her leave, mumbling under her breath again.
Aela raised an eyebrow. "Does that make Serana your mother as well?"
Evelynn choked on her mead. Farkas slammed a hand into her back a few times, attempting to kickstart her lungs again. "Very… funny…"
Serana almost smiled. Almost.
Serana had had an edge to her since they'd run into Aela in the Plains District. It couldn't have been easy on her, that's for sure.
"So. The two of us have made quite a woman here, don't you think?" Aela refilled Seranas' tankard, the challenge in her voice obvious.
"It seems we have." Seranas' eye contact would've made any normal person tremble in fear. She clearly accepted the challenge.
The tension was so thick Evelynn felt like she could pocket handfuls of it if she'd wanted. Watching the two women silently battle for their claim on Evelynn… well. She'd be lying if she said it had no effect on her. Aela didn't deserve the wrath that was going to pour on her at any moment, but Seranas' unwavering determination to keep her was… a feeling she never wanted to lose.
"Well, this is a lovely pissing contest, but we really should be going." Evelynn ran her hand through her hair.
Aela shot a glare at Evelynn. "I see. Just stop by, drink a little mead, and be on your merry fucking way again, yeah? Figures."
"Did you need help with something, Aela?" The leadership cracking through her voice.
Aela growled. "I don't need a fucking thing from you, Evelynn."
"Yes. I'm leaving. Again. You knew what I was before making me Harbinger. You all did. I love my family here, but I have things to do. You may go back to your hunting and drinking and bullshit bickering while I go save the world. Again." Evelynn turned towards the door.
"With her." Aela spat.
Evelynn whirled, landing eye to eye with her mentor. "Would you like to come with us?" Evelynn could feel her hackles raising. Aela understood her condition, but clearly she was never going to like it.
Aela narrowed her eyes. "Looks like you already have someone with you."
Evelynn nodded. There it is. "They're all yours, Harbinger. Take care of them."
"You know that's not how this works. Harbinger has to die for a new one to be placed."
Evelynn laughed. And threw her arms out to the side. "Well get on with it then. Kill me, Huntress. Get me out of your way and take your place."
The silence that fell over the hall was almost deafening, with the exception of each and every heartbeat in the room.
She could see the tears well in Aelas' eyes. "Just… go. Just go, Evelynn." She lowered her eyes, conceding her challenge to lead the pack.
"I'll come back, Aela. Take care of them until then." The softness in her voice was odd tasting, after preparing for more of a fight.
Evelynn turned again for the door, taking Seranas' hand this time. Her pack may not like it, but they would respect it.
"Evelynn." Aelas' voice was smaller.
"What?"
"... Use the Skyforge. If you're to come back, you'll need something better than whatever shite you've been wearing." Aela closed her eyes, scraping a tear away with her fist.
Evelynn nodded once, and exited through the door.
Serana
Serana couldn't shake the uneasy feeling, being on these grounds. She had little hope of feeling comfortable in Evelynns' Breezehome now, as she had before. She was beginning to understand more of Evelynns' reluctance to be in this city. She still adored the sight of Evelynn working a forge. The sweat, the determination, that crinkle between her eyebrows as she focused. Serana was curious if it was her remaining Wolf blood that made her still sweat. And with the Skyforge being outside, under clear skies and stars, Serana perched herself on the hearth and looked for solace in her Wolfs' silver eyes.
"I'm sorry about all of this." Evelynn spoke softly.
"You've done nothing wrong, Evelynn."
"Aela is… a lot."
Serana nodded. "She loves you." The bite of that truth was… less than pleasant.
"I know. I just wish she were more accepting. I hate that she was so rude to you."
"Have you… been with her?" She really didn't want to know but she couldn't stop herself from asking.
Evelynn snorted. "Don't be ridiculous."
"It doesn't feel like a ridiculous question. She loves you." Petulance was weighing on her.
"It's not like that. It was never like that. Aela… sired me, I suppose. She shared her blood with me. She gave me a gift. You understand how serious that is… right?" Evelynn moved her armor to the workbench and picked up a hammer.
"I understand that very well, Evelynn. And that's precisely why I think you're wrong. She's in love with you."
Evelynn rolled her eyes and hammered away.
"You've never sired anyone. You don't understand."
"You've only sired one, which wasn't even intentional, and suddenly you're an expert?" The defensiveness in Evelynn caught Serana off guard.
"Why do you think I've only sired one, Evelynn?"
She opened her mouth, likely for some smartass comment, but closed it instead, working the leather harder.
"Evelynn. Come here."
Evelynn sighed, and set down her tools and came to stand in front of her.
"Give me your arm."
Evelynn still had a sad look in her eyes, but not an ounce of hesitation as she offered her arm. Serana smiled and she took hold of her wrist.
"Your obedience pleases me." She pressed a kiss to Evelynns' palm, delighting in the flutter in her heartbeat. She ran her nose over the veins in Evelynns' wrist, inhaling that warm forest scent, which now had a fiery bite to it. "You smell heavenly."
Evelynn sighed, her heartbeat growing faster.
"What do you feel right now?" Serana mused, her lips brushing over the soft skin.
Evelynn swallowed hard. "I feel… wanting…"
Serana smiled. "What do you want, My Love?" She grazed her teeth over Evelynns' ever quickening pulse.
"... You…" it was barely a whisper.
"You have me, Darling. I'm right here."
"I just…" Serana could see Evelynns' legs trembling. She got to her knees before the Dragonborn, lightning flashing through her own veins, keeping her face to Evelynns' wrist.
"You want me to taste you…" she licked ever so lightly.
"Yes." She breathed.
"All you have to do is ask."
Evelynn ran her other hand through Seranas' hair. "... Drink…"
Serana couldn't help the moan that escaped her mouth as her fangs pierced that soft, delicate flesh. Evelynns' blood caressed Seranas' tongue with so many overwhelming emotions. Like a forest on fire, caramelized in thick sweetness, Serana drank deeply. Gods, she'd missed this. The mead in Evelynn making Serana tingle instantaneously.
Evelynns' fingers tightened in her hair as her muscles tensed, her enjoyment audible from her lips. Her blood sang, screamed everything into Serana. She loved her, without a doubt, but now that they were truly Blood Bonded, it was so much deeper than any human emotion. Serana could taste Evelynns' approaching climax, and just before it reached its peak, Serana detached herself.
Both breathing hard, Serana stood and kissed Evelynns' frustrated lips. "I guess you do have some idea."
"Nnh! Not the same…" Evelynn clutched at her desperately, kissing her and whimpering.
"My Love, I can assure you that offering your blood to another is always intimate." Serana cradled her Wolf to her chest and held her while the excitement subsided.
As her heart calmed to a more reasonable rate, Evelynn took a shaky step back, still holding Seranas' hand. "I didn't touch her. It was… different. I drank from this giant… ceremonial goblet thing. It's not the same."
"Shall I go retrieve a goblet to test this theory of yours?" Serana smirked, vividly remembering how she felt watching Evelynn drink her blood-laced wine.
Evelynns' face and neck flared slightly and she turned back to the workbench, finishing up, Serana hoped. "No."
"Mhm."
Serana watched Evelynn as she hammered and worked and tempered her new armor. This woman truly did not understand the depths of the other woman's feelings for her. She simply… did not think about anyone else in that way. Serana sat back and fiddled with her collar and smiled at her Wolf. Her Wolf.
"Will that take much longer?"
Evelynn looked down at her work, and shrugged. "Not much?"
"When you've finished, I'd like you to take me to bed."
Evelynn immediately dropped the tools and threw her new armor, scaled armor, she'd called it, over her shoulder. She charged towards the stairs, dragging Serana along with her. Serana laughed at her enthusiasm.
Evelynn
Vampire seduction didn't seem to need to affect Evelynn, what with this profound sense of love and bloodlust. She'd barely made it into her Breezehome before dropping everything and crushing Serana into the door. Her new fangs ached in a way she didn't understand.
Divines, what's happening to me?
Serana wasn't stopping her this time. She wasn't taking things easy or conserving Evelynns' strength. She threw fire into the pit, lighting the room before she tore at Evelynns' shirt and whimpered into her mouth.
Fuck.
Evelynns' fangs searched for the nearest skin, just barely pricking Seranas' lower lip.
Serana cried out and fisted her hands into Evelynns' hair. "Upstairs. Now." Her voice was softer than the finest silk.
Evelynn gripped Seranas' backside and lifted her, wrapping her legs around her waist. Evelynn all but sprinted up the stairs, and into the bedroom. With how much they'd been together already, you'd think Evelynn would be better at taking off Seranas' armor. To keep her from breaking the buckles, Serana pushed her onto the bed and stripped herself down to her undergarments. She set her satchel down gently next to her armor.
Evelynn pulled hard on her wrist, dragging Serana into her lap and kissing her cleavage.
Serana pulled on Evelynns' hair, tipping her head back. She slowly licked Evelynns' lip, inhaling her breath. "Take me, Evelynn."
Gods…
Evelynn rolled over, pressing Serana into the mattress. Serana so rarely gave herself over completely, Evelynn wanted to take her time and enjoy every minute of it, warring with her intense need for completion. Serana had known exactly what she was doing with their activities at the forge.
Evelynns' hands trembled as she untied Seranas' top, kissing beneath the straps. The room seemed to grow colder around them as she ran her tongue along the edge of Seranas' collar. She kissed and massaged her way down Seranas' breasts, nipping at her ribs, ghosting her lips down her stomach. Instead of tearing at the fabric, Evelynn gently pulled the waist of them down. Serana seemed confused for a moment, but raised her hips slightly, allowing Evelynn to remove them.
"I need you…" Seranas' voice strained as she squirmed.
This would be over so much quicker than Evelynn wanted. She tasted Serana, gently at first. Oh gods, the taste…
Serana cried out and locked her thighs around Evelynns' shoulders, pressing hard against her mouth as she came far too quickly.
"Fuckkkkkkk…"
Serana fisted her fingers into Evelynns' hair and yanked hard, dragging Evelynns' mouth up to hers. Serana licked and kissed the arousal from Evelynns' face.
"I want you to wear it." She breathed against Evelynns' lips.
Evelynn stilled. "... What…?"
"In my bag. Side pocket. Now." Gods she sounded so… desperate. Evelynns' core twisted as she scrambled over to their bags.
She fumbled with the buckles as she kicked her pants off.
Fuck, how does this go?
She hoped for the best as she stepped into what had to be leg holes and turned back towards the bed.
Serana was propped up on her elbows, watching Evelynn with a sexy smirk. "Wait… put those pants back on…"
Evelynn cocked an eyebrow. "Oh?"
Serana nodded and bit the corner of her lip. Evelynn shed her torn shirt and slipped the soft leather pants back on, leaving them untied. Serana opened herself to greet Evelynn as she crawled back up her body. Seranas' soft hands massaged her through her top and over her back, tucking them into the back of her pants over the harness. Trailing around the waist of the pants, Serana dipped her fingers into the harness to caress Evelynn, earning a sharp moan.
Gods this won't last long.
"Do you trust me?" Serana was very serious as she touched her.
"Yes." Now who sounds desperate?
Serana smiled and kissed her deeply. Sudden coldness against Evelynns' overheated flesh made her jump.
"Shhh… count."
Count? Count wh–
"One!" A frozen sphere pressed inside Evelynn. Holy fuck…
"Two…" another pushed into her and her legs weakened.
"Th-three!" She felt so cold. So… full.
"Enough?" Serana searched her face.
Panting hard, Evelynn nodded.
"Now, this needs to be tighter." Serana cinched the straps on the harness until it bit into Evelynns' hips… putting an intense pressure on those frozen beads inside. "Good. Now…"
Serana pressed her palm flat to the front of the harness, Evelynn could feel the coolness of the magick as Serana fashioned a shaft. Evelynn looked down. That… has to be too big… right?
"Come on, Love. Show me what you can do."
Her smile was so sweet and innocent, as if she hadn't just magickally crafted an array of fuck toys. But Evelynn had to admit… Serana had definitely had a plan. As she slowly pushed the ice shaft into Serana, they both cried out in unison. The movement of Evelynns' hips had caused those beads to… shift. By the Nine…
Serana gripped Evelynns' ass and pulled her in deeper. Fuck. Evelynn kissed her, forcing her tongue into her mouth as she moved. Between the sounds coming from Serana and the movement of that ice inside… Everything ached. Evelynns' body screamed for release. For more. Fuck.
Evelynn couldn't handle this so softly. She hooked one arm under Seranas' thigh, moving forward to grip the headboard, the other under her ass, lifting her upright and pinning her against the wood. Serana was spread wide, and she simply held Evelynns' shoulders and rested her head back.
Take her…
Evelynn slammed into her, reveling in her moans. Gods, she'd really taken all of it and still wanted more. Evelynn could swear she felt the beads tremble. Oh gods it was coming. Harder. Faster. Evelynns' fangs hurt so much, begging for release. As they pierced Seranas' neck, climax was instantaneous. It wouldn't stop. She couldn't stop. Seranas' nails clawed into her back as she screamed her pleasure to the skies. The orgasm in her blood tasted like the thickest, finest wine. More. More.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuckkkkkkk.
The room shifted and swirled. Everything turned red and faded to glorious blackness.
Evelynn
"Evelynn. Evelynn, wake up." Serana was patting her cheek.
Her eyes creaked open slowly.
Serana exhaled a laugh. "You've got to stop passing out on me, Love."
"That was…" Evelynns' eyes rolled closed again as she breathed deeply.
"Yes. It was." Serana kissed her forehead gently.
"Can… Can I take this off?" Evelynn shifted uncomfortably.
"As much as I hate to see those pants go, yes. You may take it off."
Evelynn stood, and wobbled. Serana caught her arm. With the buckles undone, Evelynn bent to pull the pants and harness down. And whimpered. Oh… the ice…
"Um. How do I…? Evelynn looked to Serana for help.
"Ah." A devious smile played across Seranas' lips. "There are a few ways those can be removed. May I?" She reached her hand out.
Evelynn took a shaky step towards her on the bed, leaving the pants and harness in the floor.. Serana laid her palm flat to Evelynns' lower abdomen. The initial pressure caused Evelynn to gasp, but the warmth that followed was calm and soothing. Seranas' eyes never left Evelynns'. But…
"Wait! No…" Evelynn bent forward and twisted away from Serana, trying to stop the dripping she could feel…
Serana stood before her suddenly, running her fingers through Evelynns' hair. "Hey… don't be embarrassed…"
"What did you do?" Evelynn felt small, her eyes wanting to cry but she didn't understand it.
"I released the magick. When ice melts…"
It was going to have to come out… liquid. Where could she go? She realized hadn't needed to relieve herself since she'd turned into a vampire. She didn't expect any of this. Lydias' room would have a chamber pot…
"I gotta…" Evelynns' knees shook as she took a small step towards the door.
"Evelynn…" Seranas' voice was so soft. "Stay."
"But… I need…" fuck, it was hard to keep it in. Evelynn squeezed her thighs together.
Seranas' heart beat… faster? The look in her eyes was… different. Darker. Sobering. "I know." Her breathing hitched as her eyes trailed down Evelynns' body to her thighs. She reached out and caressed her thumbs over Evelynns' hips. "I want to see."
"What!?" Evelynn straightened suddenly, and the movement forced more water out.
Serana pushed her shoulders into the wall, forcing her to stand straight.
"Serana, please…"
Seranas' eyes fluttered and she sucked in a sharp breath. "Don't beg me. If you truly can't handle this, tell me now. But what's inside you is mine. And… I want to see. You have nothing to be embarrassed about." Serana seemed to tremble with… restraint?
Evelynn stood, defiant. This was so… humiliating. Why did Serana even want this? But… that look in Seranas' eyes… did things to Evelynn. Evelynn said nothing.
Fire lit in Seranas' eyes and she smiled. She kissed Evelynn once. A searing pain shot through Evelynns' shoulders and arms. What the fuck? She looked. Serana had frozen her to the wall, arms stretched out completely, only her fingers free to clutch at the ice.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" The helplessness was weighing on her. She wasn't… unfamiliar with the feeling.
"I can't have you trying to hide from me, now, can I?" Serana caressed her cheek. "Say 'Mercy', and this all stops, Love."
Fuck.
Serana slowly ran her tongue over her own fangs, seemingly pleased at Evelynns' silence. She knelt before Evelynn and pulled her ankles apart, freezing them to the floor.
"No!" A little more leaked out of her, heat flaming in her neck against the freezing pain.
Serana… giggled. And pressed a kiss to Evelynns' sex. FUCK.
"No. No no no no. Please. Serana, please. No."
"You know what you have to say for me, Love." She sat back on the bed, crossing one leg over the other, just watching.
Mercy. Did she want to say it? Yes. No. Fuck. Serana had found a way to torture her that she very much… enjoyed. It wasn't for Evelynns' benefit, or at her request. Serana was doing this for herself. And it was so demoralizing. Degrading. Humiliating. So… fucking hot.
"Please…" please what? Evelynn didn't even know, but she couldn't stop it from tumbling off her lips as the tears fell. More melted ice dripped, running down the inside of her thigh to her knee.
Serana shifted, opening her legs. Evelynn swallowed hard at the sight as Serana moved her hand. Oh gods…
Seranas' fingers danced over her clit and she exhaled hard, never taking her eyes off Evelynn. Evelynns' core flexed in arousal, forcing more liquid from her. She pulled hard against her restraints, hearing the ice crack but it would not give.
"Pleeeeeease…" she was almost sobbing now.
Serana moaned. "I like it when you beg." Seranas' legs twitched and shook. Fuck…
"No! No no no no! Fuckkkkkkk!" The water dripped steadily from her now, gathering in puddles around her ankle, and, undoubtedly, on the floor. Tears flowed freely, catharsis wearing and exhausting Evelynn. Nothing. There was nothing left. Evelynn could feel her sex pulsing and tensing as the last drops fell from her.
Serana was in front of her in an instant. Kissing her eyes, her tears, her lips. She touched the ice restraints, instantly releasing the painful, wet bondage. She held Evelynn close to her chest. She murmured into Evelynns' hair.
"Good girl."
Evelynn clutched at the vampire desperately, shaking as she cried. Serana pressed her lips to Evelynns' neck. Then bit down. Oh gods…
Again?
Darkness fell over Evelynn for the second time that night.
Serana
Too far. Serana had definitely taken things way too far. It was obviously so far out of Evelynns' comfort zone, and she'd continued to push. She carried Evelynn to the bed, and grabbed rags from the basket, filling the washbasin in the room. Hot water, Evelynns' muscles were surely worn out. Evelynn lay, sound asleep, across the soft furs. So beautiful, so peaceful. She'd been so overwhelmed, but she'd refused to say Mercy. Serana could taste everything in her blood; the humiliation, the pain, the helplessness. The orgasm…
Serana adored caring for her Wolf. Evelynn had been embarrassed, Serana would clean up the mess she'd forced her to make. She'd done it so beautifully…
Serana had taken her blood, without asking. She'd just… needed to know that Evelynn was truly alright. Serana healed the puncture wounds in Evelynns' neck. They'd heal on their own, of course, but Serana wanted to make up for the scene just moments earlier. She'd have to discuss this with Evelynn when she woke. Evelynn breathed evenly as Serana washed her skin, letting out the softest moan when Serana washed the soft curls between her thighs. Serana smiled. The sun would be rising soon. Serana finished washing, delicately rolling Evelynn to the side so she could wash her back. Serana cast a low heat to the floor by the wall, evaporating the last remnants of their play.
Sliding into the bed, Serana covered the two of them and pulled her Wolf in close, smiling when Evelynn nuzzled her face into Seranas' chest. She sincerely hoped she hadn't pushed too far, Serana never wished to hurt Evelynn, physically, mentally or emotionally. Discovering a mutual definition of "hurt" was proving challenging, and Serana prayed she was doing okay by her Dovahkiin.
"I love you." She kissed her declaration into Evelynns' hair and drifted off to sleep, listening to the most beautiful heart in the world.
Serana
It was barely a few hours later when Serana awoke again, strangely restless. Evelynn lay perfectly still against her, softly snoring. She'd been completely worn out, she'd definitely need more of her resting potions. Serana quietly slid out of the bed and went to the wardrobe. She found one of Evelynns' sleeveless shirts and smiled to herself as she put it on, followed by a pair of cloth pants. Serana grabbed an empty bag and put a few things in it, and slipped on a pair of fur shoes. Evelynn would be out for a while.
The morning sun was beyond bright, it took a moment to adjust to the light. She considered going back in for her hood, but that seemed a bit conspicuous. She sighed heavily, and made her way to the gate.
"Divines smile on you, friend."
Serana smiled shyly at the older woman working the forge. The guards seemed to recognize Serana now, as they nodded in acknowledgement at her before opening the gate.
Serana focused her senses, searching for smells and sounds that she could work with. The west smelled of nothing but animals, and she could hear the mammoths grunting. Best to avoid giants in the daytime when she was at her weakest. But off toward the east…
She could smell humans. She could almost hear the hushed chatter. There, by the stream. Animals too. Hunters, likely. Serana made her way towards the group. She wanted to make this quick.
Just inside the treeline, she watched the group of men, and one woman. A small camp of hunters, skinning and cooking a large elk. She would have a finite amount of magick to work with. She summoned a small burst, calling forth the largest of the group. Entranced, she had the man kneel before her. She took an empty bottle from her bag and placed it on the ground. Taking the man's hand, she used a dagger to cut the vein in his wrist, carefully aiming the stream of blood into the bottle. When she'd taken enough from him, Serana healed his wrist, wiped his memory, and sent him back to his camp.
She repeated this process until three bottles were full and corked. It took a lot longer than Serana had wanted. The sun was annoyingly high as she emerged from the trees, shuffling the bottles and such into her bag. She was feeling the drain now.
Nearing the back of the stables, something crashed into her shoulder, sending a bottle flying through the air.
"No!" Serana reached for it, but it shattered in the ground, blood bursting all over the rocks. "Shit!" That was an hours' worth of work.
"Watch where you're going, leech."
Serana felt the back of her neck prickle at Aelas' voice. She almost choked on the growl building in her chest. She exhaled slowly and straightened her shoulder strap, pushing forward towards the city.
"Nothing to say? Does Evelynn keep your fangs with her?"
"Back off, Aela."
"I don't think I will." The redhead shoved her chest.
"Seriously? You're picking fights with a vampire? In the daytime. Does that do something for you, Huntress?" This was so fucking childish.
"Oh right. The downside to being a Bloodwhore."
The sound that escaped Seranas' lips was unlike anything she'd ever heard, as she lunged and sank her fist directly into Aelas' smart mouth.
The redhead fell to her ass in the dirt, spit crimson, and looked up at Serana with a new sense of hatred.
"You've been feeding from her?"
"That's none of your fucking business." Why would she even say that?
Aela stood, scraping the back of her hand across her mouth. "The blood in her veins is very much my business."
Serana tilted her head, cracking away the stiffness that was settling in her spine. She smiled, too wide. "Not anymore, mongrel." She's mine now. Serana fiddled with her collar.
Aela stood toe to toe with her, baring her teeth in rage. Serana flashed her own fangs in response, rising to the challenge.
"Hey! What's going on back here?" The stable master rounded the corner, stepping between them.
"Nothing, sir. I was just leaving." Serana gripped the strap of her bag and rounded on her heel, walking steadily to the gate.
"I know she's new around here, Aela. But she's a friend of the Dragonborn. You can't just give her a hard time. And, between you and me, I think she might be tougher than she looks." Serana could hear the stable master whispering, even from this distance, and she smiled into the evening sky.
Evelynn
Evelynn woke, alone, in her soft bed, with the beginnings of a headache. She sat up in the bed and ran her hand over her face, trying to scrub the exhaustion from her eyes. She figured she'd have to double up on those potions if she was going to be so… active.
Evelynn stood, and wobbled. Divines, she was completely worn out. Of course her bags were still downstairs. She doubted Serana had any potions in her small satchel, which was gone anyway, likely with Serana. Where was she…? Evelynn pulled on a large blacksmiths shirt, letting it hang halfway down her bare thighs, and headed for the stairs.
The world was spinning, she had to grip the railing to make it down. She felt… almost drunk. It was likely that her new vampirism was the only thing preventing the extreme nausea that should be present.
"Hey… there you are." Serana was standing in the middle of the main room. She was smiling softly, surrounded by candles, which was unnecessary but very sweet.
Evelynn gave a weak smile in return.
"You look exhausted. Come, sit." Serana took her hand gently. She seemed… extra gentle this evening. Cautious.
Serana guided her to a chair, and handed her a goblet. Evelynn didn't even ask, she just drank desperately. The potion. But… much easier to take. It tasted good.
Evelynn panted to catch her breath. "Laced?"
Serana smiled. "I thought it might be better."
Evelynn nodded and drained the last few drops from the goblet.
"Feeling better?"
"Yes. Thank you."
"Would you like some more? I think we should… talk." She was fidgeting nervously and looking down at her hands.
"Are you okay?" Anxiety tightened Evelynns' chest. Had she done something wrong?
Serana smiled, but it held a touch of sadness. "It's not me that I'm worried about, Love."
"... Okay…?" This was annoyingly cryptic.
Serana cleared her throat and looked down at her own goblet. "Earlier… What we did… I mean, I…" her eyebrows pulled together.
She hated it? "I thought… that was what you wanted…" Embarrassment and insecurity rocked through Evelynn like a bolt from her crossbow.
"I did! I do. I mean…" Serana huffed in irritation. "You're not… experienced in this way. It was unfair of me to push you so far so soon. I seem to… really struggle with impulse control. Around you. I don't enjoy being so… unpredictable."
Evelynn refilled her own glass, since Serana seemed to have forgotten. She needed to clear the fog from her head to process any of this. "I don't understand."
"You make it far too easy." Serana closed her eyes and tried to steady the shiver that seemed to run up her spine. "You're entirely too eager to play with darkness. When you're not shamelessly diving directly into it… you play the part too well. I'm not… immune to temptation."
Evelynn felt her cheeks warm. "And that's… a problem?"
Serana smiled at her. "It can be. If you're not aware of what it is that I'm… craving. Before you consent to it."
Evelynn felt the blush in her face burn brighter. "I… don't mind spontaneity." She took a deep sip of… oh, it was straight blood. She sighed contentedly.
Serana laughed. "Oh, I'm well aware of that, Darling. I just… would prefer to know that you're educated."
"So, educate me."
The flicker in Seranas' eyes twisted something in Evelynn. Again? "See? Far too easy."
The confusion wasn't clearing and it was starting to annoy Evelynn. It must've been evident on her face.
"I'm not sure if it appeals to my Daedric side more when you so willingly give yourself to me… or when you beg me not to take it…" her smile faltered.
"You have my consent, Serana." Evelynn couldn't believe she had to say this, out loud, at this point.
"I need to know that you can take it back if you want to." Her eyes were shut tight, trying to control herself.
"You can't make me do anything. You know that… right?"
Serana looked at her as if she doubted the words.
Evelynn laughed. "Do you believe that you're able to overpower me and physically take it from me?"
Serana exhaled sharply, and Evelynn could hear her heart quicken. "Don't…" It was barely a whisper.
Evelynn felt her core tighten at that fucking look in Seranas' eyes. She shifted in her seat, crossing her legs. "Don't what?" Poorly feigned innocence.
"Don't challenge me, Evelynn." She could see the sheer restraint dripping from Serana. And Evelynn absolutely wanted to challenge it.
Evelynn felt her lips slowly twist into a smile, knowing her fangs were peeking out from it.
"Evelynn. We're talking."
"About what?" Evelynn licked a drop of blood from the rim of her glass.
Serana ground her teeth together audibly.
Evelynn could hear a strange growl in her mind. No words to the emotion, just purely animalistic, primal, carnal need.
Seranas' eyebrows shot up. "Excuse me?"
Evelynn looked around at the sudden shift in tone. "What? What's wrong?"
Seranas' lips twitched. "Evelynn… is this conversation… doing something to you?"
Evelynn pressed her thighs together. "I'm not sure I know what you mean."
Serana ran her hands through her hair, shifting her gaze to the opposite wall. "Here I am, communicating, being compassionate and taking your well being into consideration. And all you want is for me to fuck your brains out."
Evelynn scoffed. "I never took you as arrogant."
"I'm not."
"Then why–"
Serana pounced, knocking Evelynn and her glass to the floor. "Because I can see you, Love." Serana put her hand around Evelynns' throat, squeezing. "I can smell you." She grabbed Evelynns' wrist, inhaling along the veins in her arm. "And most importantly right now, I can hear you."
Serana effortlessly flipped Evelynn over, face down on the floor. Evelynn pushed on her hands in an attempt to lift herself. Serana froze her hands to the floor, much… much tighter than it had ever been. Evelynn cried out in pain and… arousal.
"You can do better than that, Love. Let me hear it." Serana pulled hard on the back of her hair, freezing her legs to the floor, from her knees all the way down, completely encasing her feet.
Completely immobile, bent over, ass in the air, Evelynn let out a strangled groan.
"Oh, come on, Baby. Do I have to threaten you?" Serana circled her hands around Evelynns' neck, and immediately froze more ice on her, leaving a thick, cold, hard collar on her heated flesh.
"What?" Complete bewilderment took over Evelynns' mind.
"Do I have to tear it from that pretty mouth you have?" Serana reached forward, forcing a thumb into Evelynns' mouth and yanking her bottom jaw down.
There was a gentle circular motion in Evelynns' mouth before it got very cold. A… ring? Her mouth was almost completely filled with solid ice… no. Not solid. The middle seemed to be hollowed out.
What does she want? I'm not going to be able to say anything around this.
Serana was suddenly in front of Evelynn, in her face, also on her hands and knees. Those eyes flamed a brilliant red as she flashed her fangs in a devious smirk.
"Come on, Love. Do it again." Serana pushed her tongue through the ice in her mouth, licking her tongue.
Evelynn moaned and tried to lean into this unbelievably strange game they were playing. More ice up her thighs, keeping her completely still, bent in half. The cold was far too intense now, even next to the fire as they were. Evelynn shivered hard.
"What do you want, My Love? Should I… touch you?"
Evelynn felt her sex tremble at the offer and she whimpered helplessly.
"No… I don't think that's what you want. Should I… touch myself?"
A sharp exhale pushed through Evelynns' throat and she felt her nostrils twitch. Serana smirked and licked Evelynns' frozen mouth.
"That's what you want? You want my pleasure?" Serana stripped off her shirt and reached into her pants.
Evelynn tried to flex her fingers, only to be met with sudden, biting pain in every knuckle. She cried out again.
Serana moaned. "It's more than that, though, isn't it? You want me to… take it from you." She got close again and moaned sharply into the ice, vibrating it down Evelynns' throat. "You want me to enjoy taking you. You want me to go absolutely mad and take you and break you until I get everything I need from you. Don't you, Evelynn?"
Oh, Gods, that growling in her mind was so loud.
Serana stared into her eyes and hissed as she touched herself. "What, do you want me to fuck you until it kills you, Evelynn?"
The room was suddenly filled with the most feral sound she'd ever heard, more ear piercing than a saber cats' roar.
"There it is, Baby. Fuck…" Serana closed her eyes and bit her lip
That sound… is me?
"Fuck, I need you. Now." Serana released the magick only in Evelynns' mouth, letting a pool of liquid fall from her lips.
Before she could ask anything, Serana was behind her again. With no warning, more ice was inside her, thrust quickly. Oh it was too big…
She couldn't even seem to say how good it hurt because her ears still rang with that shrieking growl.
"You can take it, Love. Take it for me." Serana gripped her hips hard, slamming into her much… much too deep.
Take her. Take all of her.
"Oh, Gods…" The pathetic desperation in her voice just spurred both of them on.
Everything was too cold, the shivering was uncontrollable, and the need was absolutely crippling. Serana released her hands from the floor and yanked her up hard by her hair, wrapping a strong arm around her waist. Evelynn wasn't even sure when her shirt had been torn off.
"Take me…" Evelynn gripped at Seranas' wrists as the ice changed angles and her body wanted to collapse.
"I already have, Love." Serana ran her hot tongue across Evelynns' neck before biting down. Hard.
The sounds ripped from Evelynns' throat… were those even words?
Serana put her wrist to Evelynns' mouth, demanding. Evelynn bit, too desperately, feeling the blood spill and drip down her chin and neck.
Soul consuming intensity crushed down on her and Evelynn flailed for something to hold onto before the darkness took her.
Again.
Serana
"No! You can't go in there!"
Serana barely had time to register the womans' voice before the front door crashed open, startling her completely awake.
Both completely nude, surrounded by shreds of clothing, and tangled up in each other in the middle of the living room floor, Serana and Evelynn were on full display for the intruder.
"What the fuck have you done to her!?" Aelas' face was very bruised, not quite healed from the night before.
Serana, beyond caring, stretched out in all her naked glory, and shrugged. "Ask her."
"What the fuck is wrong with her?" Aela ran towards them and crouched down, reaching for Evelynn.
"Keep your fucking hands to yourself, mongrel." Serana spat through a hiss. "She's sleeping."
"Evelynn doesn't sleep, you fucking leech."
Serana shrugged. "She does now." She leaned over and whispered softly into her ear. "Evelynn. Wake up, My Love. You have company." Her lips touching Evelynns' soft skin almost made her forget about the very detestable wolf in the room. She cut her eyes over, relishing the disgusted look on her painted, mangled face.
Evelynn grumbled and rolled further into Serana, burying her face.
Serana grinned. "Come on. Wake up. You have a… visitor."
"What?" She looked up at her, bleary eyed. She'd definitely need more potions.
Serana nodded over to the redhead. Following her gaze, Evelynn half rolled over and seemed to be assaulted by this information.
"Aela, what the hell are you doing in my house?" Evelynn scrambled for something, anything, to cover up with. Finding nothing intact, she dragged her shredded shirt across her lap, leaving her breasts still bare.
"I heard screaming."
"So?" Serana noticed the blush in Evelynns' face and hoped that Aela could see it too.
"I just thought that…"
"She's making sure you're alive." Serana mused, mostly to the rafters above them.
"Don't speak for me, parasite."
Evelynn sat up quickly, slapping her wolf sire across the face. "You may feel whatever way you like about us, Aela. But this is my house. And you will not talk to her that way. Is that understood?"
Serana smothered a smirk.
"Evelynn, what the fuck?" Aela barely registered the strike as she took in the, still wet, bloody mess down the front of her Harbinger.
And she loved every minute of it. Serana felt her chest swell with petty victory.
"Dammit, Aela, get out of my house!"
"You're seriously doing this? Just following your groin and falling all over your stupid little Bloodwhore–"
Evelynns' growl was growing more defined. Sharper. Clearer. A language Serana understood in her soul. Slightly altered by the Wolf in her, but no less adhered to Seranas' own Daedric nature. She really did belong to her. But Serana couldn't pay much attention to that fact, as Evelynn had sprang from the floor, crashing into the redhead. Serana didn't mind at all that Evelynn was savagely beating her mentor to a pulp, reopening last night's wounds on her face. The hostile mutt fucking deserved it. She'd live.
However… bonded to Evelynn as she was, Serana could feel her own fangs ache just moments before she saw the shift in her progeny.
"Evelynn, no!" Serana felt a strange new authority in her voice.
Evelynn froze, crouched, pinning Aela to the floor, her snarling fangs inches from the Betas' throat. Serana wasn't even sure if she'd intended to drink her dry, or rip her throat out. But Evelynn would never forgive herself for killing the woman. Evelynn was shaking with restraint.
"Let her go, Evelynn. It's not worth it."
Evelynn shifted her body, almost unwillingly, off the woman. Aela sat up, coughing blood from her mangled mouth. She still hadn't made an effort to get off the floor.
"You may want to get out of here before I let her kill you." Serana said calmly.
"Fuck you!" Aela had tears in her eyes, but she made her way out the door, the early afternoon sun spilling in the dim house.
Serana knew the redheads' heart was effectively broken. She'd witnessed the woman she was in love with, absolutely claimed and tainted by the thing she hated. But Serana couldn't really bring herself to care. She'd had a obscene amount of time with Evelynn. Plenty of opportunity to stake her own claim. She'd missed her chance. But Serana wouldn't let Evelynn kill the woman for a petty insult.
Oh. Uh… "You're free to move around, but… don't leave the house yet. Please." Serana noticed Evelynn, still frozen in rage on the floor.
"What the fuck was that?"
Serana sighed. "I'll need you to be more specific."
"What did you do to me?" Evelynn looked down at her shaking hands, but Serana saw her eyes flickering to the door.
"I'm sorry. It wasn't intentional, but I would do it again. It was necessary."
"Do what, Serana?" Evelynn was barely containing her rage.
"I've heard about it before. Made vampires… don't have the luxury of defying their sire. If the Authority is called. I didn't think it would happen to you, because you're... well, you."
"So, what, you control me?"
"It appears that I can."
Evelynn growled again, absolutely furious. Serana struggled to not smile.
"This makes you happy?" Evelynns' silver eyes shone white hot in her direction.
"In ways you don't understand, yet, yes." Serana put her hands behind her head.
Evelynn stood, still shaking, but it had softened. "I'm… going to clean up." Evelynn swayed on her feet.
Serana winced for her Vampire. "The potions are in my bag over there."
"I'm fine."
"No, you're drained. I can see the exhaustion on you."
"Are you going to make me drink it?" She was still pissed.
"No, you're going to drink it because you love me and you don't want to hurt me."
"I'm not too sure about that right now." Evelynn mumbled through her teeth.
Serana grinned. "Well, you're welcome to try after you've had a potion or two."
The low snarl through her bared fangs was… Serana had a difficult time keeping herself seated. Evelynn had taken to vampirism with a flare that only the Dragonborn could. And being half wolf… Serana found that she was incredibly pleased to be the one to tame this viciously chaotic creature.
Evelynn drained a potion and threw the bottle just past her head, not dissimilar to how Serana had done in Riften, before stalking up the stairs. Ultimatums really wouldn't do in their relationship. Serana would not abuse her Authority.
She would never abuse Evelynn.
Serana got up, deciding to wash up as well. They did have things to do before leaving the city. Maybe Evelynn would cheer up after selling her shiny things. Serana smiled as she filled the washbasin. Her strange little Vampire found such joy in such trivial things. And… she seemed to find absolute ecstasy in other things.
Evelynn seemed to crave… everything that Serana did. Her Daedric Nature perfectly mirrored Seranas', while her human nature only loved her. The compatibility was alarmingly perfect. Serana touched her collar for reassurance. Even angry, Serana only loved Evelynn more. That, in and of itself, was reassurance.
Serana was rinsing the last of the soap from her hair when she heard Evelynn on the stairs.
"Are you controlled?" Her mood seemed to have calmed down considerably, but a touch of sadness weighed on her heavy curiosity.
Serana snorted. "What?"
"You weren't born a vampire… you were made. Does…"
"No, My Love. He doesn't control me." Serana grabbed some clothes from their bags.
Evelynn blew out a breath, looking… relieved?
"I was made… differently. He presents temptations, we're supposed to feel honored to obey, but we're not compelled." She pulled on some small clothes, and slipped the soft leather pants up over her hips.
Evelynns' eyes danced over the contours of her body and she swallowed hard. Serana smiled at her.
"That's… good."
Evelynn stood at the foot of the stairs, ogling her. She'd gone with darker clothes today. A black sleeveless shirt over black leather pants. It made her look… perfectly dangerous. Serana licked her fangs.
"You can ask me anything, you know." Serana shook out another of Evelynns' cream colored shirts. Was the Imperial allergic to sleeves? It was still daylight for Blood' sake.
"What's… what's happening to me?"
Seranas' heart ached. "You're… becoming a vampire, Evelynn." She walked over and touched Evelynns' face gently.
"But… you seem so… normal."
Serana laughed and wrapped her arms around Evelynn. "I'm not."
"But… you… stopped me." Evelynn hugged her, trailing her hands softly over Seranas' still exposed back.
Serana bit back the urge to moan at the delicate contact. "You love her."
Evelynn pulled back. "It's not–"
"I know it's not like that. But you do love her. I didn't want to see your remorse for killing her."
"I… I don't understand… I… really… wanted to…"
Serana smiled at her. "She insulted your Mate, Darling. I'd be confused if you didn't want to."
"My… what?" Serana could hear Evelynns' heartbeat increase in pressure.
Serana leaned in, gently licking Evelynns' lips. "Mate." She whispered it into Evelynns' mouth.
That low growl washed over her face and she smiled. Evelynn clapped her hands over her mouth, eyes wide.
Serana grinned wider. "Don't be embarrassed…" she pried Evelynns' hands away, kissing her lips.
"Why do you act like this is normal?" Her words sounded… softer. Layered over the possessive purring in the base of her throat. So… sexy.
"It is." Serana kissed her again, firmer this time.
"You… don't do… this…" She struggled to talk around Seranas' persistent lips.
"I do, actually. But no, not as often as you are. I would like to think I'm better at controlling it, I have been around longer."
"... Can…?" Evelynns' face flushed pink.
Serana smiled and pulled her close, letting her own purr rumble in her throat, communicating her emotions directly to Evelynns' soul.
"Oh!" Evelynn clutched at her back as her surprised moan fell from her lips.
"Satisfied?" Serana smiled against the skin of her neck.
"No." Evelynns' desperate voice declared as she gripped Seranas' pants.
Serana laughed. "My Love… we really should–"
"Ow!" Evelynn jumped back, her hand grabbing her mouth again.
Serana looked at her in confusion. "Evelynn?"
Evelynn turned away from her and bent forward, muffling her exclamations of pain.
"Evelynn…." Serana turned her around again, looking into her eyes, wild crimson circling the silver.
It shouldn't look as hot as it did. The small fangs in her mouth had extended ever so slightly. "Ah… hold on."
Serana went to the table to grab the remaining bottle of blood. She really wished that fucking redhead hadn't smashed the third bottle.
"Drink this."
Evelynn latched onto it as if she were starving. She probably was… she hadn't properly fed in days. She was progressing through the stages of vampirism rapidly. Evelynn emptied the entire bottle.
"Better?" Serana asked cautiously.
Evelynn, panting to catch her breath, simply nodded.
"Come on, Love. Let's go sell your treasures, and then we'll find you someone to drink." Serana winked.
