Holy smokes it's chapter 3!
gotta admit, it's fun to write this story on the side as a sort of break between it and my main story "Bearer of the Light"
So we get to the battle trials and the hijinks that will ensue.
Just as a heads up, while things will get spicy at times, there won't be anything overtly mature, just some teasing and implications, like the Frog Leg's comment made by Tsu last chapter :D
Review time!
darkkrt: It shall! Here is chapter 3!
BIGGZ1344: Actually, it's not Obelix's costume at all (if you ever saw the live-action movies, you will know why... yikes.), think more similar to Asterix, just with fuzzy gauntlets and boots and a headband with wings on the side instead of a helmet.
LoamyCoffee: so just to point it out that Neijire has met Izuku, and views him as some sort of "big teddy bear/little brother", so while no Neijire romance, she will have had a hand in helping Izuku shape his personality and deal with very 'touchy' women ;)
No idea how to handle Overhaul yet, as I don't think the effects of the Magic Potion could ever negate Overhaul's OP bullshit.
tiguylerobot: He's a little naive to be sure, given that he's had ZERO interactions with people his own age up until that point and it was freaking rare if at all possible for anyone around him to actually flirt with him. so he maybe a little slow in the uptake on that.
But he will learn... and hopefully fast -w-;
kiyomos: thank you!
Vates Despero: thank you for pointing that out as I had forgotten to do that change when chapter 2 dropped!
SacredKoppa: Thank you! and I shall keep this story going for as long as I can! Still haven't decided on the relationships atm, because if there was a 'harem' situation, it would be poly.

Chapter 3
Backhanded Karma
[Before the beginning of the Battle Trial]
Bakugo grit his teeth, his arms crossed over his chest, or as best as possible, given the giant grenade-like gauntlets he was wearing. His finger tapped rapidly against his arm as he did his best to ignore the annoying braying of the pink-skinned extra and the dumbass of a speedster who was trying (and failing) to keep her under control.
Eventually, he had reached his boiling point and turned on a heel to face the both of them, the look on his face full of fury and annoyance, "Shut the fuck up, you damn extras!"
"Bakugo!" Iida shouted, his arms waving back and forth robotically, "It is unbecoming of heroes to talk like that, and we are not 'extras'!"
"Yea!" Mina had spoken up, frowning at the blonde classmate while puffing up her cheeks in annoyance with her hands on her hips, "Who died and made you the boss when me and Iida were trying to figure out a strategy!"
"Shove it, Raccoon Eyes!" Bakugo barked back, causing Mina to look wide-eyed at him before squinting with a stern frown; Bakugo ignored the glare from the 'alien' girl and turned his attention back to Iida, "And this is what we are going to do! Your four-eyed ass will guard the bomb, while Raccoon Eyes goes after Frog Bitch."
"Her name is Tsu!"
"Like I give a fuck!" Bakugo once again shouted back, snarling at Mina, who was glaring hard at him now, ignoring the small pops of heat erupting from his hand, which she didn't flinch at.
"While I'm not going to agree to go for such a plan, you failed to mention what you will be doing, Bakugo." Iida spoke up to get their attention, the student wearing a cross of knight armor with that of a formula one racer watching as the angered look upon his explosive classmate morphed into a feral grin, more explosions forming in the palm of his hand.
"I'm going to show that fat ass who's really the best in this school! Just because he can throw his lard around doesn't mean jack shit!"
Before Iida or Mina could refute his plan or the rather rude why he was describing Midoriya, the explosive 'hero' in training bolted out the door as the sound of the buzzer for the start of the trail rang out. The acidic woman moved towards her remaining classmate, still scowling as she spoke low, "Are we really going to follow BAKA-go's plan?"
"Sadly, it seems he has decided for us… and honestly, the quicker we can get this over with, the better." Iida crossed his arms, and while his face was covered by his helmet, Mina could hear the disdain in his voice.
"Right, I'll go and try Tsuyu… though if I find Midori first, I'll try and keep him away from the barking pomeranian." Mina snickered before dashing out herself, sliding along her acidic trail as Iida called out to her from the room.
"Keep your communicator on, Ashido! And do not antagonize Bakugo!"
Izuku exhaled out a deep breath he held onto, slowly creeping along the hallway up on the second floor. It was just after both he and Tsuyu had entered the building to give off the illusion that the frog woman had followed him in, while in reality, Tsuyu had snuck out through a window and began her ascent up.
So now, it was just the large green-haired man slowly making his way down the empty halls, doing his best to be as stealthy as possible, which wasn't easy given his size.
Sure enough, the reason that Izuku could never be a stealthy hero was made as from around a corner, firing off an explosion right into Izuku's face was Bakugo, grinning like a maniac, "Found you, fat ass!"
The sudden attack had left Izuku with a coughing fit. The two wings on his head charred slightly, and soot covered his costume's upper part, causing him to stumble back a couple of steps until he regained his footing and frowned at the blonde classmate, "F-Fat ass?"
"That's right, Lard for brains! Do you think you're the best in the class? Well, you haven't fought against me yet!" Bakugo shouted, launching towards Izuku with a hook to feel the punch connect with the taller boy's cheek, adding an explosion to the impact to cause Izuku to crash through one of the walls into a larger room, coughing.
Standing proudly over his still recovering opponent, Bakugo laughed loudly, "Right where you belong, you fat fuck! You'll be the first stepping stone onto my way to become the Number One-OOF!" Only to be interrupted when Izuku had moved his arm in a way to clear the soot and backhanded the barking pomeranian accidentally, sending the student through several walls further into the empty halls until there was nothing but complete darkness from his many entry/exit points.
To Izuku, however, he had not even registered the hit, focusing more on getting the soot from the explosion out of his eyes. Once doing so, however, Izuku slowly brought himself up, dusting off his suit, and looked all around the large room he was in for his opponent.
"Bakugo? Bakugo!... huh… did he leave?" Izuku frowned before he gasped, "He could have gone after Tsuyu!"
"Well, I hope she kicks his butt then!" A feminine voice called out from another part of the room, with Izuku barely dodging a glop of acid that had been aimed his way, while looking towards where the voice was coming from only to find Mina 'skating' towards him quickly, "Because now you're dealing with me, hero!"
Izuku hissed when he could feel the second ooze-like smile caught him on the leg, eating through his pants before he brushed it aside with his hand, cursing that he should have realized that the pink-skinned girl would have heard the explosions from before.
Dodging more incoming globs of acid, all the while watching as Mina kept skating around him in circles, peppering him with more acid shots, some of which still hit him when she changed up her singular shots to smaller but more spread out bursts, almost like a shotgun.
Yet despite the many holes littering his suit or the rather itchy irritations on his back from the attacks on his back that he couldn't reach, Izuku was smiling brightly, just as Mina was. While they seemed to be playing, making this a game of sorts, both students were still following the scenario.
Mina, being the villainess, was stalling out the Hero, while her "ally" was currently searching for his partner. While Izuku maintained to keep Mina's focus on him to allow Tsuyu a better chance to find the bomb. And while the banter between the two was light-hearted enough, taking jabs at one another like how a hero and villain in comic books would do, the two students failed to realize that there still was another contender within their minor skirmish.
And he was waking up with a rather large headache.
Bakugo groaned low, his head feeling light and his vision practically blurry, raising a hand up to his head and rubbing it while he kept blinking to correct his vision. He looked at the rather large grenades on his arms, and one of the lights on it flashed a deep red color.
How long was he out to let one of these things be fully filled up?
It then all came back to him instantly, the battle trial, teamed up with two annoying extras and sought out the giant asshole that thought he was better than him, Katsuki Fucking Bakugo!
Slowly he began to rise up, grunting to himself so as not to show weakness as the buzzing of the communicator in his ear was forcibly ripped off. He had no time to deal with whatever Four Eyes had been screeching into his ear when he heard the loud laughter coming from the green-haired tub lord that had swatted him like he was a fucking insect.
This would not stand.
Reaching over to his currently filled gauntlet, his hand gripping the pin to the device as his scowl slowly morphed back into that fanatical looking grin as his meager steps soon turned into quick strides, Bakugo's eyes never leaving the back of his target while he moved fast to the second closest hole that had been made by him and raised up his gauntlet and pulled the pin.
"DIE FATTY!"
Izuku's eyes went wide as soon as he heard the word "die" coming from behind him, and while Mina had stopped her skating and looked perplexed upon also hearing Bakugo's voice, the larger student quickly sped towards his pink-skinned 'adversary' and enveloped her in a tight hug, making sure that she was utterly protected from the incoming blast of heat and fire barreling towards them.
Mina was a mess of emotions, given that the solid and cute guy she had been 'dancing' around for the past little while to run out the clock had just suddenly enveloped her, holding her tightly and close to his body with one arm, and with his hand on the back of her head being held close to his chest where her hands rested upon his upper pectorals. But before she could enjoy the embrace and perhaps give Midoriya a cute flirt to get him flustered, Mina screamed as she could feel the heat coming from behind Midoriya, her quirk altered eyes growing wide as she could see the licks of explosive fire flirt past his legs and feet, which had also been moved to block any of the incoming explosion from her supposed teammate.
And while she couldn't see his face, she could hear the hiss of pain escape past his lips as well as smell the burning of fabric, her hands clenched at his compression shirt, while Mina also closed her eyes tightly and whimpered. Not only upset at Bakugo for almost killing her, but also in sadness for the man currently protecting her and the pain he must be enduring while doing so.
As quickly as it happened, the explosion died out, allowing Mina to finally open her eyes and very slowly (if reluctantly) push herself away from the embrace of her protector as her eyes went wide, seeing the destruction that had been caused.
Nearly all the walls and floor around both her and Midoriya had been horribly charred, save for the triangle of an area blocked by the large student that protected her.
Speaking of which, the black sclera eyed woman looked towards her protector, who was panting heavily and taking slow but deep breaths in, the pain evident on his face as the front part of his compression shirt loosely fell down and over his belt, almost like a loincloth over the remnants of his pants that were also dangling slightly, possibly due to the backs being burnt off by Bakugo's explosion.
Speaking of which…
Mina had slowly walked around Midoriya, looking at Bakugo, huffing and puffing with that one raised gauntlet still. Her usually smiling face morphed into pure outrage as she stomped two steps closer to her, "WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM, YOU PSYCHOPATH!?"
Bakugo was merely panting, still dealing with his headache from before as he dropped the arm that he had just fired from as he snarled at her, "You shouldn't have gotten in the way, Raccoon Eyes!"
"Shouldn't have-... ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS?!" Mina screeched back, acid pooling from her hands and landing on the scorched floor, hissing loudly as it ate at the degrading cement, "You could have killed Midori! You could have killed me! What the hell is-"
A warm hand gently placed itself onto her shoulder, causing Mina to turn her head and gasp lightly at the equally warm smile Izuku gave her.
The wings from the sides of his head and the headband were long gone, and the fur gauntlets and boots were also long gone or barely hanging on as Izuku kept smiling at her softly, even if he was currently shirtless and almost pantless and spoke with a calm tone of voice, "It's alright, Mina… besides, no one got hurt… well, except Bakugo."
"The fuck you talking about, you fat ass-OOP!" Bakugo began to shout before suddenly being picked up by the scruff of his neck, being held into the air with only one arm by Midoriya, whose warm smile gave off a rather coldness to it as Midoriya began to speak.
"Bakugo, apologize to Ashido."
The room was deathly silent for a few moments, the two others trying to process the request before Bakugo retaliated to the request by using his 'good' hand to explode a few times in Izuku's face, and as they had faded, the blonde student could see that they had little to no effect, outside of causing some redness and soot to appear on the taller man's face.
Mina watched as her protector suddenly started to slap Bakugo across the face repeatedly, almost comically with a blindly speed that both his hand and the blonde's head were a blur. After about twenty seconds of this, Izuku stopped, revealing a heavily bruised and swollen cheeked Bakugo, who was now barely awake.
Izuku brought Bakugo closer; the smile was long gone and replaced with a look of anger on his face as he spoke low to the destructive teenager, "And do not call me fat EVER again."
The buzzer blared loudly, causing all the students on the field (minus the out cold Bakugo) as All Might's voice rang out, though he seemed pretty shaken with his tone, "The Trial is over, Heroes Win!"
Iida's eyes went wide as he looked towards the bomb, gazing at the longe pinkish tongue that was touching it from the window, where one Tsuyu Asui was smiling brightly and giving him a peace sign.
All Iida could do in response was hang his head and sigh.
"Ouch!" Izuku hissed out, laying upon his bed while the older man very gently prodded the giant red mark running across his grandson's back.
"Now, now… you're lucky you got away with something akin to a sunburn, my boy. Even while you did so while you remained in class until they ended without seeing myself or Recovery Girl." Getafix said as he placed the small wooden tool he had used to check the status of the burn.
Izuku was silent as his gaze remained on his headboard; within a few moments, however, he responded to his elder, "Kinda hard to walk around the school in nothing by my belt and compression shorts, Grandpa."
"Don't even think of giving me that excuse, young man." Getafix said with a huff, "I know you were more interested in looking at the rest of your classmates' quirks while in combat practice."
The groan and hiding of his head under his pillow was the only response Izuku had given Getafix, who smirked because he knew his grandson too well.
Just as Getafix was about to whip up a special lotion to help heal the burns quickly, the doorbell to the tiny house went off. Getafix frowned and huffed once again, leaving the room to answer the front door, "Now who would be calling at this time? University ended, and everyone should be getting home to prepare for the move-in tomorrow."
Walking down the stairs, Getafix raised an eyebrow upon seeing the rather pink visage from the windowed front door, staring into the structure with curious eyes and holding a bottle of… something… before seeing the older man and gasping in surprise.
At this point, Getafix had reached the door and opened it for Mina, smiling gently at her, "Well, this is an unexpected surprise Ms. Ashido. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"H-Hello Mr. Getafix, sir…" Mina said a little meekly, the purple hue on her cheeks clearly showing she wasn't expecting to see him there, "I… I wanted to check up on Midoriya, and someone at the head office said he lived on campus and gave me directions here."
Mina had tried to hide the bottle of lotion before Getafix had opened the door, but she wasn't fast enough. The older man was smiling at her, moving aside to allow her to come in, "Well, that is very thoughtful of you, Ms. Ashido; Izuku is currently upstairs resting on his bed."
"O-oh! Thank you, sir!" The pink girl bowed her head, tossed off her shoes, and headed up the stairs before she stopped halfway, turning to look at the Druid, "Um... one question… why are you here, Mr. Getafix?"
The old man chuckled to himself, "Well, I am one of Recovery Girl's assistants, and who else would tend to the wounds of my own grandson?" Getafix had looked at Mina, giving her a wink and a finger up to his lips, "but you didn't hear that from me, correct?"
Mina kept staring at him for a few moments before smiling brightly at him, nodding her head and shooting up the stairs, causing Getafix to chuckle to himself, shaking his head at the wonders of youth.
Mina had begun to slowly walk along the hallway leading towards the one open room to her, passing by various moving boxes and knick-knacks with older photos of a young Izuku and other family photos hanging on the wall, eventually stopping at her destination.
From the doorway, she could see how bare the room was, given he must have been packing to move into the dorms as well, and her curiosity was at its peak to have a chance to sort through those boxes to find out more about the bigger man's interests and hobbies.
All that went out the window when Mina's golden eyes met with Izuku's emeralds, staring at her with a deep blush on his cheeks from the confines of his bed with his head resting on his pillow, "A-Ashido?! W-What are you doing here?"
"Checking up on you, silly!" With a bright smile, Mina stepped into the room to gaze upon Izuku's back, who had tried to turn over but hissed in pain and collapsed back down onto his stomach, making his pink-haired classmate look on with worry, "A-Are you alright? How bad did that asshole burn you?"
"N-Not bad; Getafix said it's something like a sunburn." Izuku sputtered out, not failing to notice the loud whistle of appreciation given by his female classmate.
"Damn, that's awesome! But you could have tried to push me out of the way or grabbed me and run from the blast."
"T-There wasn't much time," Izuku said gently, his head turning back to the headboard, "Even if I did run, the blast would have caught us regardless, and I didn't want you to get hurt."
"Oh? Is that so?" Mina said with a mischievous smile on her lips, "So your first thought was to take hold and protect pretty little me?"
"Yes." Izuku answered back, not looking at her still and missing the purple blush on her face as he shifted on his bed, "If Bakugo wasn't such an idiot, or possibly delirious from me sending him through those multiple walls, he would have tried to just aim for me."
"Even if you didn't yeet him before we were duking it out, I don't think he would care and still pull the same shit." Mina sighed gently at her remark; even if the pomeranian jerk did get backhanded by 'karma', both literally and figuratively, she knew it would still probably play out the way it did.
Speaking of things playing out…
The golden-eyed woman moved the lotion bottle she had been hiding behind her back in front of her, smiling brightly as she spoke out loud in joyous glee, "But enough about that jerkface, I'm here to help you, Midori!"
Izuku blushed at the nickname, turning his head to look at her and showing off the redness of his cheeks as he looked down to the bottle, "H-Help me?"
"Mhmm, this lotion is used for burns to the skin! Whether it be caused by acid or heat!" Mina beamed out, holding the bottle like some sort of game show assistant displaying an item to be won, "And even if I did cause some of those welts with my acid, it was because of you protecting me that you took the full brunt of Baku-jerks explosion… and I want to make it up to you."
"O-Oh! T-Thank you, Ashido, b-but that really isn't necessary!" Izuku started to stammer out, trying to lift himself off the bed before falling back down, hissing in pain.
"Pish Posh! It's the least I can do! And call me Mina, would ya?" the pink-skinned woman smiled as she walked closer to the bed, taking in the body of her protector and biting her lower lip, "Now lay still so I can get on top of ya!"
"W-What?!" Izuku shouted, suddenly feeling some weight upon his waist and butt as he kept staring hard at the headboard with his face going atomic red in embarrassment. On the other hand, Mina was smiling brightly as she nestled herself while straddling the young man, both with her still mischievous smirk and a similar lilac blush running across her cheeks, "Oooh, nice and comfy Midori! And no arguing either; this is just repayment for what you did for me today and yesterday when you clocked that purple pervert!"
Izuku was silent for a few moments, taking in what she said and considering his position; he sighed softly and nodded his head, "A-Alright… that's fair."
"Good! Now, this may be a little cold at first, but give it a few moments, and it should warm up and feel really nice~." Mina said with a singsong tone to her voice as she opened the bottle, squirting some of it into her hands and then a little onto Izuku's back; hearing him gasp at the sudden chill on his heated back sent shivers up Mina's own spine.
Placing the bottle beside her leg, Mina slowly began to run her fingers and the palm of her hands slowly up and down Izuku's back, being mindful not to press too hard but also to make sure she worked in the lotion.
After a time, Izuku sighed heavily. The tenderness of Mina's delicate hands upon his burnt back felt exquisite and made him more relaxed as Mina once again bit her lip at the sounds and sighs coming from the larger man. While she wasn't pressing too hard into his skin, she was smiling at the fact that her fingers sunk a little to feel the back muscles of her classmate. She could tell that even if he did have a bit of a stomach to him, Izuku was built underneath his softness, which was endearing to her, considering how much food he had eaten in the cafeteria the previous day. He was still able to maintain a figure such as this.
As she started to work his shoulder blades, Izuku grunted softly as he rolled them against her touch, his words slightly slurred as he now was fully relaxed against her touch, "Mina… your hands feel so nice and soft…"
"Why, thank you, Midori! It's because of my acid, well that and proper skin care every day to give my skin a nice glow."
"Mmn, yea… I can imagine… gotta keep that cute pink color nice and bright, am I right?" Izuku spoke softly, clearly not thinking straight from the pleasure of the woman's touch on his back, hardly noticing that she had stopped working and was staring at him.
"Y-You like my pink skin?"
"That and your cute little horns, fluffy hair, and eyes! They are looking through the vastness of space with two bright and beautiful suns shining within." Izuku spoke gently, not registering what he was saying as his mind was currently just making whatever pop out of his mouth, "You are super cute, and your attitude and personality are super cute as well, even as you were berating Bakugo."
Mina just kept staring at Izuku, her cheeks purple now as she let her hands slowly slide down his back and rested by her thighs. There was silence between the pair as Izuku nuzzled against his pillow softly while turning his head to look back at Mina, "You alright, Ash-Mina?"
"Say Midori…" The pink-skinned girl began to speak in a low tone, "You said you liked how soft my hands were, right?"
Blinking at the weird tone of voice she was speaking in, Izuku raised the only visible eyebrow she could see, "U-um… yes?"
"Then how about something even softer-" "MY BABY BOY! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Inko shrieked out, interrupting whatever Mina was about to suggest as the hysterical mother had burst into the room crying heavily, only to stop upon seeing the scene before her.
There was her darling Izuku, laying on his bed with a pink-skinned girl, a rather cute one, she might add, sitting on top of his waist with a bottle of lotion by her leg and her hands seemingly covered in the concoction. Both of the teenagers looked at her like deer caught in headlights until Inko slowly brought her hand to her lips and looked at them with surprise still, "Oh my…."
"WELPIGOTTAGETHOMEANDFINISHPACKINGFORTHEMOVETOMORROW!" Mina had suddenly shouted, pushing off the larger boy, nearing tripping and falling off his bed before dashing past Inko, who had moved out of the doorway, "NICEMEETINGYOUMA'AMANDSEEYOUTOMORROWMIDORI!"
Both mother and son kept looking at the open air of the doorway before Inko slowly turned her head towards her son, who was now pale at the look she gave him.
While it wasn't a look of anger on his mother's face, but a smug and sly look that he knew there would be many questions and explanations he would have to answer for, especially given what she asked before he tried to bury his head into his pillow in embarrassment.
"So, 'Midori', huh?"
