I've always admired Rock Lee. He was honestly my hero growing up, more so than Naruto or any other character. His determination is always something that I aspired to. I even modeled my life goal after his.
To become a good person with what I have at my disposal.
So I decided to write this. It's what I feel a person like me would do in Lee's shoes, someone that had that same inspiration. It isn't necessarily a SI, but it is :D.
I hope you enjoy Lee's adventures, from his time as a child, all the way to the end of Shippuden.
With Care,
AJS

Lee walked through the village, a small smile on his face. He was on his way to the hospital, finally receiving funding from the Hokage to get his chakra coils investigated.
He was 5 years old, and the Hoakge wanted to make sure that Lee would be able to participate in the normal Shinobi curriculum.
Lee arrived at the hospital, only about 3 blocks from Hokage Tower. He walked in, smile growing after being greeted by the nurses.
"-And what brings you here today?" The nurse spoke in a soft voice.
"I'm here to have a chakra coil evaluation. Here's the letter from Hokage-sama." Lee handed the nurse a letter in a plane envelope, stamped closed with the insignia of Konoha.
"Ok, take a seat over in the waiting area." Lee walked over and sat in a seat in the corner.
Lee tapped his foot, brimming with anxiety. A man took a seat next to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
It was the Hokage.
"H-Hokage-sama!" Lee bowed as Hiruzen chuckled.
"No need for that Lee, though the respect is appreciated. I'm here to tell you not to worry." The Hokage looked at Lee's eyes. "Even if the worst is true, even if your coils are damaged, there are plenty of things for you to do." Lee looked down slightly.
"Like what? I don't wish to be a merchant or farmer, I want to be a Shinobi. It is my ambition!" Lee had a longing smile on his face. "How can I do that without Chakra?"
"My boy, there have been many terrifying shinobi that seldom use chakra. A great hero named Might Duy couldn't produce chakra normally, so he developed a technique that bypassed that. He used the technique to protect multiple escaping teams of Genin and Chunin escaping from Kiri during the Third war." Lee's eyes were shining in amazement.
"What happened to him?" Hiruzen gave a moment of silence. "Oh, I see." Lee had a troubled look on his face. "Was it the technique or the enemies?"
Hiruzen raised a brow in surprise. "Why would it be the technique?" Lee scratched the back of his head.
"I know when I force chakra outside of my body, it hurts. I'm pretty sure a technique that does that must hurt a lot." Hiruzen nodded.
"You're most certainly not wrong. I would explain more, but the technique is secret, and a Kinjutsu." Lee nodded in acceptance. "Perhaps its last practitioner, Might Guy, Duy's son, will be able to tell you about it. It is his inheritance after all."
Lee nodded, content with his new knowledge. Might Guy sounded awesome, being able to use a technique like that and living to tell the tale.
"Rock Lee?" A nurse called out.
"Go on Lee, I'll be waiting in here." Lee nodded, a smile wide on his face.
Lee walked back with the nurse, passing through the sterile halls. They stop at an examination room, the doctor already waiting for them. Lee took a seat on the bed, sitting up until the doctor spoke.
"Lee, right?" Lee nodded. "Go ahead and lay down, get comfortable. I'll be starting the physical right after I ask you a few questions." Lee laid his head down on the pillow, smiling at the crinkle of the paper.
"Do you experience fatigue easily?" Lee shook his head.
"No doctor, quite the opposite. I very rarely get winded, even after running for several minutes." The doctor nodded, and wrote something down.
"Do you experience pain when channeling chakra?" Lee nodded.
"When I use chakra to do things like the leaf exercise, it is quite painful." The doctor tilted his head.
"You say when you 'do things like the leaf exercise', is there something else you do with your chakra?" Lee rubbed the back of his head.
"Well, I thought it was normal… but when I jump or run, sometimes I'll push chakra into my limbs, and I do it faster." The doctor nodded with a smile.
"That's great! It's a good sign that the problem isn't in your chakra pathways, if it was, then just moving chakra outside of its natural flow would be painful." Lee nodded, a happy smile on his face.
"Any more questions?" The doctor nodded.
"Just one more. Any nausea or belly pain?" Lee gave a small nod.
"A little, I always thought I just had a sensitive stomach." The doctor gave a small nod.
"Interesting, let's start with your chakra pool then. It's in your belly, focused into special organs inside of your kidneys. Let's see here…" The doctor rolled his chair across the ground, the hard wheels clacking against the tile.
"I'm going to put my hand over your belly, and run a diagnostic, ok?" Lee nodded.
The doctor's hand began to glow, making Lee wince in discomfort. "Doctor, I think something is wrong, I do not feel well." The doctor stopped immediately and looked at Lee.
"Don't worry, I got all of the information I need from that area of the chakra system. Can you sit tight for a minute? I need the help of a special doctor." Lee nodded, a concerned look on his face.
"No need to be concerned. Nothing is life threatening. I do believe I've actually heard of this before. A man named Might Duy had very similar reactions." Lee nodded.
The doctor stood, before handing Lee a small blanket from a cabinet. "I know it must be uncomfortable, but try to get some rest. I know you must feel ill." Lee nodded and rested his head against the pillow, clutching the blanket around himself.
The doctor walked outside, a concerned look on his face. He walked quickly down the hall, before ending infront of an office.
The nameplate on the wooden door read 'Hotaru Hyuga'.
The doctor knocked rapidly on the door. "Hyuga-san."
"Enter, Iryo." Iryo walked in and took a deep breath.
"I need your help. I'm doing a chakra physical on a boy named Rock Lee, but something is strange about his chakra system. The only two things I can think of are either Chakra Dysmorphia or a problem with his tenketsu-." Hotaru cut the man off.
"And you need me to confirm." Iryo nodded. "Come on then. It may be interesting to see either. I've always wondered what Chakra Dysmorphia looked like." The pair walked towards the room Lee was staying in.
"I'll warn you, when I was running the diagnostic, he experienced a bout of severe nausea. He's currently covered up, resting." Hotaru nodded.
"Nothing much else we can do. Better he's asleep for this anyway." The pair walk into the room to see Lee staring at the ceiling.
"Asleep, huh?" Hotaru spoke with a small smirk on his face.
Iryo was about to laugh at the jab before they heard Lee's soft snores.
"He's- He's asleep." Both of the men were completely shocked. Hotaru started flashing through hand signs.
"Byakugan." Hotaru's eyes bulged as did the veins around his eyes. The Hyuga stepped back in shock after seeing the state of the boy's body.
"I-Impossible." Iryo was deeply concerned, he had never seen someone act like this toward a patient. "His chakra system… His pathways have developed already, they look strong, very strong. and pathways around his senses, they look like those of doujutsu. It's no wonder he can sleep with his eyes open."
Iryo's jaw was on the ground.
"I see what you mean, however, the tenketsu are slightly enlarged. Whatever caused it wasn't natural, most certainly forced. They healed in a strange way, much like a muscle. His coils…" Hotaru squinted at the boy's coils before sighing.
"I see the problem." Iryo raised a brow. "The normal limiting factor for the coils has been removed, it doesn't look natural either. I do believe this boy suffered an injury at birth, and a coverup has been put in place. Unfortunately, I don't think even Tsunade can fix this." Iryo shook his head at the ground.
"Is there any good news?" Hotaru nodded.
"As I've said before, his chakra pathways and tenketsu are incredibly durable, as are his chakra coils. He should be nigh invulnerable to genjutsu from those with less potent chakra than him. More importantly, his internal chakra manipulation talent should rival or surpass Tsunade. It's like his chakra system was created for a front line monster." Iryo nodded, a smile firmly in place.
"Don't get me wrong, simple things like a bunshin or any other external jutsu are completely impossible without aid. Any attempt will be met with excruciating pain. But if he can channel chakra into his skin rather than coat his skin in a layer of chakra, then anything is possible. Surface walking, leaf sticking, body fortification… Duy's techniques…" Iryo's eyes widened.
"But Duy's techniques-!"
"Yes I know what they do to the body, I read the report too you know! I'm saying- it's like his chakra system was made for the Eight Gates. Hell, he might even be able to use Fuinjutsu and Senjutsu with the amount of chakra he has." Iryo shook his head.
"I need to inform Hokage-sama, can you watch over Lee?" Hotaru nodded and Iryo was out the door, sprinting to the waiting room.
He burst out of the door with a serious look on his face. Hiruzen looked over and frowned at the look on the doctor's face.
"We have a situation. Some good, some bad, but all of it is trouble. I need you to come with me." Hiruzen got up and walked quickly with the doctor. They entered the room, watching as Hotaru investigated Lee's eyes.
"Report." The single word immediately gained Hotaru's attention.
"Rock Lee has a defect, most likely caused by an injury at birth that was swept under the rug. The limiters on his chakra coils are completely gone. As a result, expeling chakra will always end in extreme pain for the boy, due to the pressure in his tenketsu, thus making Ninjutsu and Genjutsu completely impossible." Hiruzen sighed.
"That's unfortunate. I was told there was good news however?" Hotaru nodded with a smile.
"Indeed. The boy has by far some of the strongest chakra pathways I've ever seen. They put most Jonin to shame, and already rival the likes of even Might Guy. His tenketsu have enlarged, and allow for more chakra concentration in the limbs. Lastly, his coils are ridiculously strong. The constant production and expelling of large amounts of chakra have given his chakra potency that simply shouldn't be possible for most Ninja Clans, let alone civilians." Hiruzen's jaw was on the floor.
"The implications of this are terrifying… Duy's techniques pale in comparison to what this boy could produce. Imagine, a Senjutsu powered gate user, flinging fuinjutsu made directly on his body, throwing punches comparable to Tsunade with the speed of Yondaime-sama." Hotaru ended his rant when Hiruzen put up a hand.
"There are things I need to see before we attempt to teach him anything of the like. I want to see how fast his body recovers. I want to see if the potency of his chakra rivals Jonin or surpasses it, I want to see how fast his body can develop… I want to know absolutely anything and everything that you can know." Hotaru and Iryo nodded.
"You'll have it on your desk by the end of the day." The Hokage smiled and began to walk out the door.
"Iryo, I want you and Hotaru to watch over him. Iryo, you are responsible for his comfort, Hotaru, you are responsible for any and all tests from this point forward."
"Yes, Hokage-sama." Hiruzen walked out the door, back to work. He arrived at Hokage Tower quickly and took one last look behind him before going inside.
'Just what secrets do you hold… Lee.'
