I am stealing this from my previous account and updating the story in future chapters. This is two of my earlier accounts stories being merged into one!

Ray looked up at the sky through his sunroof. The sky was clear of clouds, and he was just in his car questioning his life choices. He was in Blackpool, England, gaining a reputation within the small country. Even the Queen sent him a letter when she needed him to investigate something.

Four years ago, he had split up with the bladebreakers after the Russian tournament. He did miss them, but he had to focus on what he was doing unless he wanted them to get him. However, thanks to his car, they might struggle to do that now. His little Citroen C4 Coupewasn't much, but it was his, and he loved it! A lot has changed in the last four years. He hadn't changed too much physically; he was taller, his hair was just as long as ever, and his clothing had changed a bit; nowadays, he is partial to the Hanfu. His current one was black with a gorgeous greyscale bird scenery on his side. His body was aching from his 'day job'. He had been unable to get his waiter job back, and no one else would hire him in the last four years, so he did what he had to do to survive. He wasn't proud of his life; some bits were ok. He was respected in some regions of England where his job was more respectable. He only did that job when summoned. There he got his car and the person who gave him it paid for its insurance, tax, everything! A good friend, that one, the woman who gave him his car.

Sure, he had Neko friends in Hong Kong, such as Ethan, who was always happy to help him, or there was Tommy and Gina. They were visiting Ethan from America the last time he heard from them. He smiled when he thought of them. Tommy had asked him to be his best man just before the American tournament! Sadly, he had to reject at that time as the wedding date clashed with his match with Eddy. Now he wished he had gone to the wedding instead! It would have been better for him in the long run. At least then he and Tyson wouldn't have that rocky patch in their friendship.

Any of his Neko friends would have flipped had they known of his current condition and that the blade breakers knew that he was a Neko-jin. He remembered the day he told them. He sighed quietly as he thought back to that day; he had been so sure they would hate him. Especially with the debate Tyson and Max seemed to be having that entire day!

Flashback

The blade breakers were sitting in their hotel room watching the TV, and the subject of Neko-jins came up. Ray wasn't paying attention per see, just enough to know that Tyson wasn't interested in it or cared about the subject matter. The cast of the TV show was debating about Neko-jin's rights or lack thereofof, causing Tyson to sigh loudly and question what rights a human had that Neko-jin didn't. Max and the others were looking at Tyson, mouths slightly open. Ray, for his part, just tried not to react in any way.

"Well? Name one right I have that Neko-jin don't have!" Tyson crossed his arms and frowned as he looked around at the others. Kenny whispered that humans have thirty rights, including life, work, trial, freedom of expression, no slavery, etc. "Don't Neko-jin have that too, though?" Tyson questioned, though Kenny didn't respond. Nobody else spoke, even when Tyson said their name. Ray didn't respond either until Tyson called for him to answer his question.

"No, no, they don't, Tyson", Ray said, not even looking towards the world champion, "if you were assaulted or robbed, the police would help you… a neko-jin is more likely to be shot on the spot for complaining" Tyson, for his part, now had his mouth open, covering his mouth and eyes wide open.

"Seriously, Ray?!" Tyson sat forward, making Ray shrink back into his seat. Tyson was sandwiched between Max and Kenny on one sofa and Kai and Ray on the other. Kai extended his arm over the back of the couch behind Ray's shoulders, his body slightly facing Ray. "They have no rights at all?"

"Not one" Ray nodded, trying not to look at Tyson. Max then sat forward and looked directly at Ray.

"Don't they gain rights, though,h if their mates are human?" Max spoke heavily, leaning towards a questioning, inquiring tone that put Ray slightly on edge. Kenny opened up to Dizzy as Ray was thinking the best way to respond to Max's question without giving anything away. Not that it mattered after Tyson opened his mouth again.

"wait, wait, wait!" Tyson yelled, standing up and walking around the room; his sudden yelling had caused Ray to shrink further into the sofa and Kai's side. "you guys are acting as if Ray is a Neko-jin!" Tyson turned and stared at Ray as Ray felt the very colour drain from his face.

"Wait… you all except Tyson knew?" Ray whispered, moving away from Kai, though the older teen didn't let him push too far as he took hold of Ray's arm. "you guys knew and never told me?" Ray could feel his whole body shaking. Kai pulled him in for a hug and rubbed his upper arm.

Nobody said anything, everybody just processing how the conversation was proceeding. Tyson was the first to move again, to look and point at Ray. His face is unreadable. Kai moved second, mainly to get his body in front of Rays.

"Kai, I'm not going to attack him… just why didn't you tell us, Ray?!" Tyson said, much softer than Ray had anticipated him to be at that moment. Tyson returned to his previous spot on the sofa between Kenny and Max. "Ray… are you a Neko-jin?" Ray nodded at the question. Tyson began to repeat the word 'why?' at the nod.

"I was scared," Ray said honestly, "I thought you guys would reject me or something." Kai didn't let him go; he only held him more gently. The bladebreakers mainly sat there and listened as the show continued to debate Neko-jins' rights.

End flashback

He smiled as he remembered that day; his friends had eventually told him how long they had known… essentially as long as they had known him. Only Tyson had been unaware until that moment; after that day, the Bladebreakers became very vocal supporters of his having rights, and they learned that he and Kai weren't mates. Really, why did they think he and Kai were together?! That happened before he left them for China because his Aunt started complaining about how he wasn't sent back to her fast enough. She had needed him for some reason. The next three years after that were a blur, with no concrete memory standing out to him. He didn't know what happened or who he spent time with during those three years. Maybe he could find out if he ever spoke to the White Tigers again. He could vaguely remember getting out of the basement of his aunt's house and seeing her passed out on the floor and someone grabbing him, but after that, it was a blur again until he was in an English hospital. He had no passport or ID, so they just let him stay. Since then, he has done a fair few investigations and gained a reputation as one of the best. He had solved several thefts from an organisation he knew as S.T.A.I.N. Who would think it would be a sweet wee old lady at the head of that crime organisation?! In saying that, an older man ran Biovault… so… he couldn't comment on that.

That Investigation had taken him just over two weeks to complete; it had also earned him the right to apply for fast citizenship. However, it would take a while to go through the system. Until then he was granted a working visa, with that letter he was also given another task, find the Queens Hope Diamond in Capitol City. He had wanted to make himself as helpful as possible. He took the job and did his best to capture the culprit, his suspects were a strange mixture to say the least. A girl in the brownies, a former member of S.T.A.I.N, Curiosity shop operator & accidental car thief, Crooked carnival worker, Ex paparazzi and Gossip columnist. That investigation took him a bit longer to complete and nearly a whole month,, makinge it about eight months in England. He had spent the first six in hospital and customs as they decided what to do with him.

His third investigation took him to Blackpool, a month after the Hope Diamond, where he was now. This investigation took him to Ravenhearst Manor, where he learnt of the fate of an American woman called Emma Ravenhearst in 1894. Finding her diary and knowing what happened to her nearly broke his heart. Though he had to admit he could not be more grateful to Kenny for sneakily teaching him how to read and write during their world tour. The tiny human had been shocked when Ray had confessed to being illiterate. During his investigation into the manor, he became aware of Charles. However, he didn't pay the older man too much mind. He couldn't bring himself to care! It hadn't taken him long, like a day, to free Emma's soul from her captivity. He did not like Charles at all in any capacity. He'd be happy never to see the man again!

His last investigation took him to a carnival, Madam Fate's Carnival; it was interesting, to say the least, as he had almost gotten his fate read to him when Madam Fate died before him. Charles's spirit had killed her! According to the Queen, Charles was upset with him for freeing Emma's soul… as if he'd leave her with Charles for all eternity!

He looked into his rearview mirror to see a man walking up to his car, the man was marching, fists balled next to him, and his face covered by a shadow created by a rather too large for his body type hoodie.

"THERE YOU ARE YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" the man yelled as he got to Ray's car door and began to slam his fists into the window. "Open the door, you cat freak!" the man yelled before trying the handle; at that moment, Ray mentally cursed himself. He hadn't locked the car doors! Another guy opened the door behind his head and pinned him down by the shoulders. Both men would take turns in undressing him, not really an easy task while in the back seat of a car!

As soon as he was undressed, the man by his legs roughly crawled over him, bending his legs at the knees, and entered his body while his friend at Ray's head forced his cock into Ray's mouth. He screamed around the man's cock. Honestly, he knew better than to fight back. He allowed both men to thrust into his body; an ached throbbing deep within him that had nothing to do with pleasure. No, as a Neko, it simply hurts to be sexually active with anyone who wasn't his mate. Not that he had a mate, to begin with!

"Oh, fuck, his ass is amazing!" the first creep said, thrusting hard into Ray's body; this man/creep was the worst of the two, in Ray's opinion. That one would run his hands over Ray's body, lick and bite at Ray's skin. Eventually, both creeps shot their loads into him and just left him there naked, sore and struggling for breath.

He lay in his car like that for a while before redressing himself, ensuring no one else was around to sneak up on him. Once dressed, he closed his back doors and sat in the driver's seat; tears stung his eyes as he locked the doors this time. His friends would be livid if they knew… at least, he thought they would be. Kai's face popped into his head; why him, of all people?! As much as he wanted to cry, he started up his car and drove off, trying to find somewhere else just to be homeless.

Meanwhile Kai ,and the Others

For four, the others hadn't seen or heard from Ray in four years with Mr D to allow them to go and find him, but since everyone was under eighteen then, they were always refused permission. Now, though everyone was of age, Kenny was typing away at Dizzy, trying to get them all flights to China ASAP! Nobody dared talk to Kai in case he snapped at them again.

He knew he shouldn't have let Ray go! Had he known that Ray would go MIA as soon as they let him, he'd have fought harder to keep him. It hadn't been Ray who wanted to go; instead, his Aunt had wanted him to return—something about her being severely disabled and unable to do much around her house.

He hadn't believed that story and had held onto Ray as much as he could have until they were forcibly separated. He had been promised that he would hear from Ray and would get to see him sometimes, and yes, he did get to see Ray a few times, but each time, it was a different tournament, and Ray was kept separated from them for the most part. He 'had to look after his Aunt'. Every time they saw Ray, they'd see him getting thinner and thinner, and no one took them seriously. It got to the point where the whole team were sneaking Ray high-fat, high-sugar, high-carb snacks and foods to help him bulk up a bit.

Even Ray's training had been altered by Kai to 'sit there and look pretty'; their kitty friend wouldn't complain much, though he did tell the younger teammates how to improve. Only Tyson complained about training, but everyone had become deaf to his training opinions anyway.

Now that he thought about it, it didn't seem like Ray was ever 100% with them whenever he did see Ray. He was there physically, but he always seemed so mentally far away. His eyes were always glazed over, and his reactions were slow. Remembering that had him putting pressure on Kenny to find them all tickets as soon as possible. In impatience, Kai did the one thing he didn't want to do. He called the White Tigers. He didn't expect Lee or any of them to be overtly friendly with him; however, he would probably need them if he could locate Ray quickly.

"Hello?" Lees's voice came through the line after a while; it just had to be him! Kai had hoped to hear from Ray since he knew Ray had spent his childhood there.

"Hello Lee, is Ray with you?" Kai asked him; he waited with bated breath. He could hear Lee mumbling to someone that wasn't Ray. Not hearing Ray's voice in the background didn't give him any glimmer of hope.

"Kai, Ray ran away from us again last year; we've not seen him since" Lees's voice shook slightly as he spoke. They hadn't seen Ray for a whole year?! He couldn't respond for a while, which Lee took to explain more "We've not seen his Aunt either, so we don't know what's going on with them", Kai hummed lowly as Lee finished speaking; by now, Kenny had managed to book them all flights for China. Thank goodness for that!

"We're coming to China. We can meet up and look for him once we get there", Kai said, hanging up before Lee could speak again. Tyson and Max were surprisingly easy to order around once they learnt why they had to rush to pack up their shit suddenly. He knew they were the same as him when worrying about Ray. They always deflated whenever mail arrived, and none was from the team's cat.

The next day

The plane landed after what had felt like forever in the sky, and the boys ran as fast as they could to gather their stuff. They soon meet up with the White Tigers, Mariah had a visible belly though no one wanted to say anything to her about it. Lee had bags under his eyes and a scar running down his face through his left eye. He briefly explained to them that one of Ray's aunts' many boyfriends had caused that before Ray ran away because Lee had seen the man grab Ray by his ears andand yell in his face. Lee had intervened to save Ray from that. Even Lee mentioned Ray having glossy eyes and seemingly not knowing what was happening around him.

"Where should we start looking?" Kenny asked them; he was met with empty eyes; nobody answered Kenny's question right away, and each team looked towards their respective leaders. Lee finally suggested that they all return to the village and plan how they want to find Ray from there.

The trip to the village took too long for Kai, though he did agree that he'd at least need to drop off his stuff before he could properly look around the city. The village was tiny, with some buildings, mainly houses. There is no school, only one small doctor's office. Lee and the others did point out Ray's childhood home, a semi-run-down house with the door half lying on the ground and half still in the door frame. Kai didn't even hesitate to walk over and remove the door from its frame entirely. The smell from within the house had him gagging. Were the White Tigers just nose-blind or something?! He demanded an explanation from them as to the scent, only to be told that everyone was forbidden from entering there as Ray's Aunt was human, and it was part of the conditions set in place to keep Ray within the village. If any of the village residents entered, his Aunt would take him away for good! Kai mumbled, 'Good thing I'm not from here then,' and walked in.

The first thing Kai saw when he entered what he thought was the living room was the remains of someone on the floor. It was mainly a skeleton by this time, though there were still some other body bits. The clothes on the corpse were that of a woman. Kai explored the rest of the house, finding a door to the basement that had been scratched from inside. Dried blood surrounding the scratch marks. He ventured into the cellar, almost worried about what he'd find.

The basement wasn't of any grand size, though it did have some blankets on the floor and chains on the wall. Not much else was in there; he could feel his heart sink. Ray wasn't there… at least his body wasn't, so that was a good sign, right? He had to have gotten out and escaped at some point!

He left the house telling Lee of his findings, the house would need to be condemned at the very least. Lee merely nodded and went to tell the elders about it. The Bladebreakers were given their room in a building that housed a statue of Driger. Dranzer became active when they were told about how they acquired Driger's spirit many years ago and how the beast had refused to have a master until Ray joined the village.

"Kai?" Max's voice broke through his brooding silence. "It'll be ok, we'll find him" Seriously, why did his team think he and Ray were together? They weren't! Ray was too good for him; he was kind, caring, and talented. Kai wanted to give Ray the world, the galaxy, the universe!
