After break time, the rest of the day wasn't worth mentioning since nothing special happened. Only something interesting occurred at the end. Naruto was packing everything inside his backpack when Shikamaru woke up because the class became loud after Iruka said the day was over.
Naruto had packed the last scroll in his backpack before he looked at Shikamaru. "Welcome back."
Shikamaru mumbled under his breath and stood up. "Thanks for today. Would you mind if I sat beside you from now on? You are quiet and not troublesome like the girls in our class." Shikamaru looked at Naruto, who had two raised eyebrows.
He always knew Shikamaru was different from the other kids. He was simply the lazy genius who could answer everything correctly if he answered Sensei Iruka once a day or two since he mostly slept during class. Still, he never mockingly talked to him or looked at Naruto with disgusting eyes.
Shikamaru was the only kid in the class. Naruto didn't prank in the first two years of the academy since he never annoyed Naruto or tried to bully him. He was always calm and mainly slept, but he always talked usually to him when Naruto spoke with him.
"Sure, I don't mind." Shikamaru nodded and yawned once. "Alright, I see you tomorrow. My troublesome mother waits for me." He waved over his shoulder when Naruto said goodbye to his new seat neighbor.
Naruto also stood up and took the other exit from the classroom as usual. Since he sat in the last row directly at the windows, he opened the window and jumped out. He began with this sort of exit two weeks ago. It was faster to exit the academy, and this way, he didn't have to deal with all the parents in front of the academy. He would jump over the roofs toward his apartment.
He didn't hear the voice of the female student who called his name since he was already on the next roof. Naruto had enough to do with his busy schedule for the rest of the school time. But before jumping to the next roof, he heard the next call from the girl who had called his name a few seconds before.
"Hey, Uzumaki!" Naruto stopped concentrating on the chakra in his legs just in time before he jumped away. He turned around, a little confused about who called him. Satsuki Uchiha landed beside him on the roof and looked slightly annoyed.
"Do you always ignore everyone?"
Naruto raised an eyebrow at the remark of the genius of the class. "Did you talk to me before I jumped out of the window?"
Satsuki opened her mouth, but when she wanted to answer, she couldn't since she had called him when he was already out of the window. She didn't talk to him when he was still in the classroom.
She frowned and shook her head before she looked him in the eyes. "Do you have time?"
"I wanted to go train. Why?"
"My mother wants to meet you." She didn't know why her mother suddenly came to her yesterday and asked her to bring Naruto with her. It was suspicious since Naruto had nothing to do with the Uchiha clan. Satsuki would know if Naruto had anything to do with the Uchiha clan. She was his classmate, after all.
'Is she related to Izumi by any chance? First, Izumi Uchiha asked me to come with her, and now Satsuki.' He didn't know what to make of this and what he should do. He still didn't trust anyone just like that, and even when Satsuki was his classmate and had known her for over two years, he never had anything to do with her.
"She said she knew Kushina and would like to see you, Uzumaki."
Naruto's eyes widened when he heard his mother's name. He was prepared to reject her on the spot, but after hearing this information, he had no choice but to go with her to her mother. If this was true, maybe he could finally find out who his father was.
"Ok. But let me first bring my things to my apartment." Satsuki nodded, and Naruto jumped to the next roof. Satsuki followed him and looked at the back of the once-dead-last class member. She knew he wasn't dead last anymore. She saw his progress the previous month, and it didn't matter what she did; she couldn't get Naruto out of her head.
What brought this massive change in him forward, and why didn't he be like this from the beginning? If Naruto had been like this from the start, he wouldn't be dead last and certainly would be in the upper half of the class. The change was too massive to be natural. Something happened with Naruto Uzumaki, and her curiosity was piqued.
When both landed in front of an apartment door, Satsuki looked around since she had never been in this part of the village. It was in a poor district where mostly beggars and particular types of "shops" were. Every town had one of those districts… the red-light district, and Naruto was living on the very outskirts of this district. From Naruto's apartment complex, someone could see the wall from Konoha since it was on the very outskirts of the village.
"I didn't know you lived in this part of the village." Satsuki looked at Naruto, who scoffed as he opened the door.
"What do you expect? I am the outcast of the village; every adult hates me. They would put me in a district like this because no one would accept me in every other part of the village." He walked inside the apartment, and Satsuki was following him.
"What do you mean by that?" She closed the apartment door behind her and followed Naruto to his bedroom. The apartment was tiny, and no unique furniture was inside. She thought Naruto had to be messy, but the entire apartment was cleaned like it should be. She was a bit surprised when she was honest with herself.
"You never noticed how our last teacher looked at me with these hateful eyes?" Naruto placed his backpack into the corner of his bedroom and walked out with Satsuki again.
Satsuki thought about it but couldn't remember a single time when Mitzuki would look at someone with hateful eyes. "No."
"That's what I thought." He walked out from the door, and when Satsuki was outside, he locked the door, and both walked onto the main street. "Look at the adults."
It had been only 15 steps since they were on the main street toward the center of the village, but she saw it now. The adults looked toward Naruto and Satsuki with hateful eyes and kept their distance from them. She narrowed her eyes when she saw how much hate the adults had in their eyes.
"Never heard of the demon child?" Naruto looked forward and ignored the looks of the adults. He became almost immune from their stares since he had to endure them from the earliest day since he could think and remember something. It had always been like this and would never change.
Satsuki looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Naruto looked at her and could tell she had never heard of this demon child. 'So, the third Hokage told the truth that no one can tell his children about my special circumstances.' He thought that every adult told their children about that, but it seems no one told their children about his condition. But they told them to stay away from Naruto, so it didn't matter. Naruto had to deal with shit one way or another.
"To make it simple, I am that demon child who everyone fears and hates." Naruto looked forward again, and Satsuki looked at Naruto again after she looked at many adults passing by. All of them looked at Naruto with hateful eyes.
She didn't know that at the moment; it was much less than usual since she was walking with Naruto through the streets of Konoha. The adults knew Satsuki and respected her since she was the daughter of Fugaku Uchiha, the head of the Uchiha clan and the chief of the Uchiha police.
Usually, the adults looked with much more hate toward Naruto. "It's simple." Naruto jumped up toward a roof, and Satsuki jumped after him. He landed in a crouch before he pushed himself up on a water tank that was on the roof to overlook the village. Satsuki landed beside him and looked at Naruto.
"Do you know what happened to the part of the village over there?" Naruto mentioned toward a particular part of the village with his finger where, eight years ago, something happened, and the district was destroyed.
"Yeah, the Nine-Tails destroyed this part of the village when he attacked."
"Everyone thinks that I am the Nine-Tails." Naruto didn't need to look at Satsuki to see her reaction. She looked at him with a look that said, "Are you dumb?"
"I am not kidding you. 8 years ago, the Nine-Tails were "defeated" by the fourth Hokage, but that isn't the truth. In reality, the Nine-Tails was sealed inside a newborn baby." He looked at Satsuki, saw her brain connecting the dots, and got wide eyes after 10 seconds.
"You are guessing right. I was the newborn baby, and since this information leaked, everyone thought I was the Nine-Tails." He frowned and looked over the village. "You know what the biggest joke is? The fucking beast isn't even inside of me anymore."
"Everyone in the village hates me for nothing since the Nine-Tails isn't in me anymore. I am not even sure if the bastard was ever inside of me." He looked down at the street, looking at the adults and children.
Satsuki remained silent. Her brain was working overtime while she thought back. She didn't care what the truth was or not. She knew Naruto Uzumaki as the dead last, someone who pulled pranks on others and did almost nothing to improve himself until a month ago when his entire person changed, and he became the boy he was today.
"Let's say everything you just said was true; why not tell everyone this important information? When the Nine-Tails isn't inside of you anymore, or maybe never was, why not tell everyone?" She looked at Naruto and saw how he looked at her, surprised. He thought she would begin to look at him in the kind of way others were doing, but she looked at him like always.
"They would never believe me." Naruto jumped to another roof, and Satsuki followed him. He crouched down on the edge of the building and looked down at an alley. "I don't know what you think about humans in general, but I hate the villagers from Konoha except for a few exceptions."
Satsuki looked at Naruto and saw his scowl when he looked down the alley. She walked beside him, looked down, and saw it immediately. A woman screamed while a man stood above her and tried to remove her clothes. She wanted to jump down there and punch the adult man into the ground, but two officers from the Uchiha police force had already come into the alley to save the woman.
He stood up and looked at Satsuki with a severe gaze. "I was confronted my entire life with bullshit like you just saw. I got kicked out of stores, was ignored by everyone, and couldn't play with other children since the adults told them to stay away from me. There was even a point when I lived on the streets for six months."
Satsuki didn't know what to say. She could only believe him with the look on his face. She had never experienced anything close to what Naruto had told her. She always had her family, a loving mother, an amazing big sister, an entire clan, and others her age who played with her before she began to attend the academy and focused more on improving her skills instead of playing on the playgrounds.
Naruto looked forward, the wind blew over the village, and his hair began moving. His narrowed eyes focused on the head of the fourth Hokage at the rock formation. He scoffed and looked at Satsuki again.
"Shall we continue? Your mother wanted to see me."
"Yes." She needed to discuss that with her mother, big sister, and father. One day, she would join the Uchiha police force, and helping others was her duty when the time came. Letting something like that continue would be against everything she would stand for when she would be part of the Uchiha police force.
Even hearing all of that triggered an unknown emotion inside of her body. She couldn't describe it, but she didn't like the feeling. She would need to speak with the others about all of this.
2 Anbu appeared out of the shadows and looked after Naruto and Satsuki as they jumped over the roofs toward the Uchiha compound. "This could be an opportunity we never knew we could get." The Anbu with the raven mask said this while he looked at the Anbu with a weasel mask.
Weasel looked at Raven, and he said, "Think about it. When it comes out that Naruto Uzumaki isn't a Jinchūriki anymore, then the entire plan would be impossible to execute, and it would be possible for any clan to adopt him since he wasn't a Jinchūriki anymore."
"We must get to Fugaku before Naruto Uzumaki and your little sister appear before him." Raven flickered away without leaving a trace of his existence behind. Even when Weasel was a genius only seen once in a generation, she couldn't compete with Raven, the fastest and strongest Uchiha of his time. She dissolved into countless crows and followed her comrade. She saw the possibility of the thing Raven mentioned. When everything went well, then everything could be avoided.
Izumi Uchiha felt that Naruto Uzumaki would have a significant impact after she overheard the conversation between Naruto and Hiruzen in the office, where Naruto got to know his status as Jinchūriki.
She overheard everything Naruto told her little sister and saw Satsuki's reaction. Her little sister clearly couldn't wholly understand what Naruto told her. She didn't know how cruel this world could be. She was still in the academy and hadn't even killed someone before.
She felt today could go either way. It didn't matter what direction things took after Naruto visited the Uchiha clan today… the Uchiha clan wouldn't be the same anymore. Such information would trigger a chain reaction. When the Uchiha clan knew this, everyone in the village would also learn about this information sooner or later. Everything would change, no matter what happened.
Author Note: I hope you all enjoyed the chapter! This chapter is shorter than the first two since I don't have much time to write this week. But I could sit down today and write for about 3 hours to at least bring you something. I thought you all would prefer to get at least something instead of waiting longer.
