While everyone was asleep back at the McGrady house, Henry was sitting on the front porch, staring up at the moon. He then saw something shiny out of the corner of his eye. Emerging right next to him from a shower of gold dust, was Junior. "I didn't know you could teleport" said Henry. "Ye never asked" said Junior. "What are ye doing sitting out here by yourself?" "I'm just thinking about the love of my life" said Henry. "A while back, there was a girl named Sheri that I fell in love with during my senior year of high school." "We dated for about a year, and got married at the age of 18." "About a month later, we were driving down the highway, when we had to swerve to avoid hitting a reckless bike rider, and crashed head first into a guardrail." "I got out without a scratch but Sheri wasn't so lucky." "She died instantly when a piece of the guardrail went right through her stomach." "To make things worse, we were all set to become parents, she was a week pregnant at the time." "I never stopped loving my wife and unborn child." "Every year I still celebrate her birthday, even though she's been dead for over a decade." "Tomorrow is what would have been her twenty ninth birthday." "I still remember what that bike rider looks like." "One day, i'm going to find that asshole, and avenge my wife and child."
Over at a workshop inside of muffle mountain, Burnett Stone was thinking about his ultimate failure in life. He was thinking back to when he was a little kid on Sodor, talking to an old ancestor of the Conductor family, that passed away a long time ago. That old man was ready to retire, and retired from his job as a caretaker for a magical engine, giving his position to Burnett. Until Burnett could find an heir of his own, he was instructed to guard that engine well. Burnett then looked at a painting of a small purple tank engine. "But I didn't guard you well" he said. "This is all my fault, the magic is ruined because of me."
Burnett soon left he workshop, and as he began walking to his house, he saw a headlight. P.T Boomer then rode up to him on his motorcycle. "Surprised to see me Burnett?" he asked. "Not in the slightest, I knew you'd come back eventually" said Burnett. Boomer then got off the motorcycle, and started following Burnett. "Where the hell are you keeping that engine?" asked Boomer. "I'm not telling you shit" said Burnett. "The only thing that engine is good for is scrap" said Boomer. Burnett just ignored him, walked into the house, and locked the door. "I'm not going to give up so easily Burnett Stone, i'll find that engine, and this mountain will be turned into a massive apartment complex" said Boomer. Burnett continued to ignore him, and began reading a book titled: The romance of railroading.
Authors note: I'll say it again, there is nothing wrong with Peter Fonda's acting in this movie. Am I seriously the only one who gets emotional about seeing a depressed Burnett Stone?
A big issue that people have with this movie, is the fact that it clearly establishes that magic is real and makes that the main focus. The reason why people have a a problem with this is because one of the best things about Thomas the tank engine, was how realistic it was, despite being aimed at the youngest of audiences. The reason why I don't have an issue with it, is because the people behind this film actually put effort in this. Yes, it's unrealistic, but you can clearly tell the people making this movie are actually trying. There is a massive difference between being unrealistic on purpose, and not bothering to do research on real life railways, because you think kids are too stupid to understand.
Thank you for reading and please have a great day.
