Chapter 2-

Lulu hesitated before she answered, she had a feeling that whatever this was would put a damper on her good mood.

"Just tell me…is it bad?" Lulu was hesitant still as Johnny walked back into the penthouse alarmed by her expression. Johnny placed an arm around her, knowing this wasn't good.

"Yes. This is the hardest part of my job, I'm very sorry. It's just, we can't do this over the phone." Dante was struggling with having to deliver such devastating news.

"Okay, I'm coming down to the station." Lulu bit down on her lip drawing some blood as she hung up the phone.

"Dante said that something bad has happened and I need to come down to the station. He couldn't say it over the phone. Johnny, I think someone is dead. I haven't heard from my dad or Ethan or Lucky in a long time. What if it's one of them? Or Nikolas?" Lulu's mind began running a million miles a minute, Johnny placed his hands on her shoulders knowing how she must be feeling right now.

"I know how you feel, it's how I felt when I found out that Claudia was dead. You have to keep an open mind, maybe nobody's dead. Maybe he just needs your help. I know that's not likely but, we can't jump to the worst conclusion. Alright?" Johnny sighed, knowing that someone close to Lulu was probably dead. Dante wouldn't be acting like this over anything else.

"I can't handle the anxiety anymore, let's just go." Lulu grabs his hand and they walk outside, where they meet up with Starr and Michael.

"We have to go to the police station, we'll be back soon." Lulu faced her cousin, worry etched into her features.

"Is everything okay?" Michael asked, immediately picking up on her mood.

"I think that someone in our family might have been seriously hurt or killed. Dante wouldn't tell me what it was over the phone." Lulu saw the panic overtake Michael.

"What if it's Grandma? Or…or mom? I've gotta check on Josselyn." Michael fumbles for his phone, patting his pockets, until Starr hands her boyfriend her phone.

"Here, I have Carly's number in my phone. Call your mom." Starr patted his shoulder, as Michael thanked her and began to dial Carly's number.

"We'll call you guys as soon as we know what's going on, I promise." Lulu forced a smile as Starr squeezed her hand.

"It's okay, you two go. I hope everything is okay." Starr sighed as Johnny led Lulu to the car.

Carly Jacks had been busy today with the hotel and cleaning the house, it was times like these that she really missed Jax. Carly was never good at domestic work, frankly she was a little hopeless but she was trying.

"Hello?" Carly picked up her phone on the last ring as she watched her daughter playing a game on her tablet.

"Mom? Are you okay?" She heard her eldest son's voice ask, he sounded worried.

"Michael? Hey baby, how are you doing? Yeah, I'm okay. A little tired but, I just feel like that's how it's going to be at this point. I'm old." Carly chuckled, wondering if he was okay.

"Lulu just got a call from Dante…he said something bad happened. Lulu thinks that someone in our family might be hurt or dead. Dante couldn't tell her over the phone. I wanted to make sure you and Joss were okay." Michael finishes in one big breath, pacing back and forth as he speaks.

"Wait…Laura was supposed to come for a visit. It was supposed to be a surprise… oh my God." Carly pressed a hand to her mouth in shock, tears coming to her eyes.

"Lulu's mom?" Michael asked.

"Yeah…this is going to kill Lulu. I really hope I'm wrong but this is too much of a coincidence. Oh God, Uncle Luke is gonna try to kill himself. I just know it. Oh, this is so bad." Carly blinked hard as if that would make everything go away.

"This isn't good, at all. I've gotta go mom but, I love you." Michael sighed, why couldn't anything ever just stay good for more than five seconds?

"Okay baby stay safe, I love you." Carly hung up the phone and dialed a familiar number.

"Corinthos." Came the immediate answer, Carly breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank God you picked up, this is a mess." Carly wiped her eyes, forcing a smile as she saw her daughter watching her.

"What did you do now?" Sonny all but groaned.

"What? Nothing! It's Laura." Carly was offended at first but, remembering her reason for the call she differed.

"What about Laura? Is she back?" Sonny asked, confused.

"Sonny, I think someone killed her." Carly blurted out, which in retrospect wasn't the type of thing you blurt out to someone.

"I'm sorry? Why do you…what?" Sonny scoffed at her, choking on his water.

"Michael says that Dante called Lulu to the police station, it was something he couldn't tell her over the phone. Laura had planned to surprise Lulu today with a visit…I really think something bad happened to her." Carly further explained, Sonny nodded in understanding.

"I'm going to go talk to Jason, maybe we can figure out if Laura was involved in anything. It would make sense that Laura would come back here for help. I just…I hate this for Luke and Lulu." Sonny sighed deeply, this packed a deep punch to his gut.

As Sonny and Carly wrapped up their phone conversation, Lulu and Johnny arrived at the prescient walking over to Dante's desk.

"Please, just rip it off like a bandaid. Don't drag it out." Lulu placed her hazel eyes on her ex-husband, gripping Johnny's hand so hard that her knuckles were turning white. Johnny didn't complain if her grip was hurting him, Dante had to give him props on that.

"It might be better coming from Anna, I've delivered enough bad news to you." Dante frowned as his boss came over, as Lulu's eyes met Anna's she felt something inside of her break.

"If that's alright with Lulu, of course." Anna politely smiles, her daughter's death was still fresh.

"Go ahead." Lulu nods, pursing her lips.

"There was a murder on the pier this morning, the body we recovered…it was Laura's. I'm so sorry to have to tell you this, I know how much it hurts. Trust me, I just lost Robin…I know." Anna almost couldn't continue on because the pain was still so raw, as the two women held eye contact they could feel each other's emotions.

"Thank you for telling me, I feel like I didn't get any time with her. If there's anything you need from me, I'll be happy to help. For the record, I'm really sorry about Robin…she didn't deserve any of what happened to her. She was a good woman, mother, and friend. If there's anything you or Robert ever need, I'm there. I don't want you guys to feel alone." Lulu fought her tears as she let go of Johnny's hand and rose from her seat, clasping Anna's hands in her own.

"Oh, thank you sweet girl. Patrick and Emma need it more than we do but it's very much appreciated. I'll contact you if we need anything else from you." Anna pulls the blonde woman into a hug, she could see the worry on Johnny's face as he watched Lulu not making any move to interrupt their moment.

"I didn't know Laura very well but, I do know that she loved her children. She loved you." Anna embraces her once more.

"Thank you, your words really mean a lot." Lulu pulled back to look at her, wiping a few escaped tears away.

"This is killing you." Dante states, making Johnny tear his gaze away from Lulu and Anna.

"Of course it is, the woman I love just found out that the woman who gave her life was murdered. I lost my mother at a very young age. Why wouldn't it be killing me?" Johnny snapped at him, confused.

"I guess I just never realized how deeply you cared about her, that's all." Dante held his hands up in surrender.

"I…shouldn't have jumped down your throat. My bad." Johnny sighed.

"Emotions are running high, I get it. It's comforting that if I can't be with Lulu, that she has someone willing to take care of her every need. Frankly, better than I ever could." Dante was slowly coming out of this depression and seeing things for what they truly were.

"Cease fire?" Johnny raised an eyebrow, extending his hand in a handshake.

"Cease fire." Dante agreed, shaking his hand.

"Honey, we should get going. We've still got a lot of packing to do." Johnny felt Lulu grab his arm.

"Are you two moving by yourself?" Anna asked.

"Well, other than Michael and Starr? Yeah." Lulu nodded.

"Let me call Robert, you two shouldn't be moving by yourself." Anna waved a hand, dialing Roberts number and conversing on the phone with her ex-husband.

"I told you we needed help but, someone didn't wanna listen." Johnny smirked at her, slightly ruffling her blonde hair.

"Ass." Lulu mutters, as Robert Scorpio strode into the station sweeping Lulu into a hug.

"Darling, you know you can't move by yourself." Robert smirked, pulling back to look at her, you could tell he was still very much in pain.

"I'll let you help, only because you're my surrogate father." Lulu chuckled, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"You must be Johnny, Luke's told me many stories." Robert reached out to shake Johnny's hand.

"Lord knows what you've heard." Johnny lightly smirked, shaking Robert's hand.

"All good things, Luke thinks a lot of you. I'm glad someone could finally reign Lulu in, she used to be a hot mess. I'm Robert Scorpio, Luke's best mate." Robert smirked, Johnny reminded him so much of a young Luke Spencer.

"Ahhh, you're from Australia. I think a lot of Luke too, he's great." Upon hearing his accent he immediately thought of Ethan.

"I used to be involved with Ethan's mother Holly as well, just saw him actually. Ethan misses both of you." Robert slightly smiled.

"I really really miss my brother, I could use a talk from Ethan right now." Everyone could tell that Lulu misses Ethan, hell…she missed all of her brothers.

"I'm sure you'll see him again before you know it. I'm sorry about Laura, I know you didn't get much time with your mother." Robert frowned, Lulu just nodded her head.

"I hope whoever did this to my mother burns in hell."
