Healer Tate seemed to be the only person in the room to not know who that person was but it wasn't his concern at the moment.

"As the Auror Corps finds the culprit, I would like to keep Auror Weasley here while a Mind Healer who specializes in the effects of memory curses meets with him. She is in Madrid but I've already requested her to join us."

"What does Ron know?" Arthur Weasley asked, "What have you told him?"

"Nothing specific, except that it is a memory curse. I believe it is best for Auror Weasley not to know the specifics yet. We have to think about this mental and emotion health here as well as his physical. Since their relationship started in childhood, the removal of his wife could affect his personality. He might be slightly different and until we know more, I think it's better to be safe."

"Understood, Healer Tate," the Minister said. "I would like to talk to the family in private now unless you have anything more to add?"

"Just this, Minister, don't lose faith. We will work diligently to help Auror Weasley. Once Healer Cruz arrives from Madrid we will contact you, Mrs. Granger-Weasley. But in the meantime, I implore you to keep your distance from your husband which I know will be difficult but is best in this moment." He smiled, nodded and started for the door.

"And Healer Tate," the Minister called, "I expect complete desecration from you, your staff and Healer Cruz. We can't let this information leaking to the press both for Ron and Hermione's sakes and for the Auror's investigation."

"Absolutely Minister." And with that the Healer left. To be safe, Harry placed a silencing charm on the door of the private room.

"Keep my distance," Hermione said to no one in particular. "Keep my distance from my own husband."

Ginny moved next to Hermione and grabbed her hands, "It's only temporary and if it will help in the long run, it will be worth it." Hermione didn't respond, she just kept her eyes down.

"Minister," Arthur said, "What do we know about the whereabouts of the woman who did this?"

"Well, not much she is a tricky one. What we do know is that the attack Harry and Ron's teams thought they were interrupting we're a rouse. There were no Muggle borns in danger, they did it to get to Ron, clearly so Alexis could cast this curse."

"So she'll have gone underground," Hermione said, "Which will make her even harder to find. She'll know the entire Auror Corps will be looking for her now."

"I'm afraid you're likely correct Hermione. I still wish you'd taken me up on the offer to join the Corps." Kingsley attempted a smile but it did nothing for Hermione as she was losing faith.

"Are we sure the counter curse must be done by the spell caster? Is there no back up option?" Ginny asked.

"The Healers will be working on that. And I will gather a team of curse breakers as well. Arthur, do you think Bill would be willing to help?"

"Let us inform the family of the situation but I think Bill would."

"Of course, Bill would want to help his brother," Molly said.

"Excellent. Now, Hermione, I think you should go home and get some rest. Harry, go home and get some rest as well. I want you to report to headquarters at 6am tomorrow. Molly, Arthur, the weight of Ministry is behind fixing this for your family."

"Thank you, Minister," Arthur said. Kingsley leaned down and kissed Molly on the cheek and then walked to Hermione who was getting to her feet.

"I know things look bleak but we'll fix this, Hermione. Keep the faith and try to be patient."

Hermione just nodded at the Minister, not wanting to break down in front of him. Kingsley shook Harry's hand and exited.

"Harry," Ginny said, "Head home and get some rest. I'll stay with Hermione tonight. Mom, Dad, why don't you say good night to Ron for us." Her parents nodded and said their goodbyes but they stopped at their daughter-in-law. Molly took Hermione's hands and said "We are your family, no matter what. Please don't forget that."

At this Hermione couldn't hold the tears back and allowed her mother-in-law to engulf her in maternal hug.

"We've endured before," Arthur said "And we will again."

Hermione extricated herself from Molly and they left the room. Harry hugged her and gave her words of support before also leaving the room.

"Ok, Mrs. Granger-Weasley, let's get you home." Ginny said.

"Won't feel much like home," Hermione said.

Ginny took Hermione's arm and led her to the floos; worried about her friend and her brother. And asking Merlin to help her husband find the bitch who did this to them.
