Hey guys, I hope you're all fine, and yes, I'm still alive hehe.
I'm Sorry for taking so much time again. As I've said before, I was pretty busy.
I'll reply to the reviews in the next chapter.
…………
-Let me get this. This... Omnitrix has DNA samples from... monsters or freaks stored inside it, which you can transform into by hand-selecting them. Right? Heisenberg asked.
"Wow. Who must have been the brilliant mind behind technology as advanced as this? Is there only one Omnitrix, or are there others?" Heinsenberg was amazed, discovering what that "magic watch" is about.
-Exactly. It is powered by a special type of energy called Omni-Energy, which is that green light. And in addition to storing, it automatically adds DNA samples whenever it detects one that is not stored in it. Ben explained. He was seated on a small rock there.
-Who would be so fucking smart or crazy to create something like that, and why? And what are these things that you transform into really? And just for the record: what you are now is a cursed freak. Heisenberg questioned, while looking at the green glow that the device in question, still on Ben's left shoulder, emitted.
However, Ben was already expecting such questions to be asked of him, and he couldn't help but smile slightly like he was ready to answer them, imagining how impressed the Lord would be when he heard them.
-For US$1,000,000.00. One tip, two words: Project Abigail. He left Heisenberg try to figure out the answer himself by giving him a clue that suggested something even too obvious.
"Project Abigail? Isn't that the conspiracy bullshit about Area 51? But... wait..." Heisenberg associated the clue with what he knew about the American training and testing base, as well as conspiracy theories.
However, he definitely wasn't ready to deal with the fact that a wristwatch-like device that altered the DNA of its user or host so that they could transform into aliens, might be real. But still, he didn't want to be impressed just by what he heard.
-Are you really saying this thing turns you into… aliens? Heisenberg asked with a slight mocking tone, in disbelief, thinking that Ben was perhaps bluffing or making fun of him.
"He's gotta be kidding me. What the hell cartoon character does he think he is?" Heinsenberg felt that his intelligence had been insulted by hearing such a revelation.
- Yeah. I know what you're thinking. That this could only be something from a cartoon, or from the fertile imagination of a 10-year-old child. And so… how about a demonstration? Ben stood up, and at the same moment he stood up, a flash of green light appeared covering him, just like Heinsenberg witnessed before.
As quickly as it appeared, the light disappeared. The glow was intense enough to make Heinsenberg cover his eyes with a hand, putting it down as soon as the light disappeared.
If seeing someone turning into a form similar to his so-called nieces wasn't enough, what was in front of him this time would definitely make him reflect on how complex and mysterious the alien life is, and also, on how happy Duke would feel if was there to see It.
Not too far from there…
….
"That woman who lives near the church is the one who houses outsiders here. The brat may be there. But… How could he have something to do with that blind big dog? Of course there's something behind that weird collar." Daniela was going to Luiza's house while her thoughts were on last night's incident.
She wanted to finish that as quickly as possible, while Bela and Cassandra were also doing their job.
"I just hope I don't have any problem getting answers." Daniela was already at the door, knocking it, waiting for a response.
….
(Knock, knock, knock).
Luiza and Elena were in the kitchen when they heard the knocks on the door.
-Who could It be? Elena asked, her hands were busy washing the dishes.
- I don't know. Luiza answered, before going to attend whoever was calling.
When turning the handle and opening the door to see who was calling, she got a bit scared. She definitely wasn't expecting that someone like who was at her door should be there, right in front of her.
The youngest of the Countess's daughters, Daniela Dimitrescu, was staring right at Luiza's eyes, with those bright golden and wild of hers.
-Hello. Daniela greeted friendly, like she was a normal person, or at last, trying to look like.
- Um, Can I help you, Ma'am? Luiza was trying to hide her affliction. Any word that was misinterpreted, it was better If she doesn't think too much about it.
- Yes, you can. I came here at the behest of my mother. A boy who's arrived here in this village is your guest, right? Daniela asked, making Luiza even more afflicted, wide eyes by knowing what was the reason for that unexpected visit. That was definitely all she least wanted.
- Benjamin. The boy's name slipped out from Luiza's lips. Her voice sounded low, but the redhead got it.
- Benjamin? Such a cute name. Daniela said, giggling, like she never was a murderer man-eater, revealing more of her playful and childish personality.
- My mother, the Countess Dimitrescu, requests his presence in our castle. The reason? It is not debatable and much less negotiable. Is he there? Daniela changed her tone quickly. Her serious expression and voice a little deep showed that she wouldn't accept "no" as an answer.
- I'm sorry. He's left my house for a while. He walks around the village and doesn't take time to get back. Luiza answered, hoping to have sounded as polite as possible.
- Hm, I see. And do you have any idea where he might be? Daniela asked, not very satisfied when she heard that.
- He usually stays near the church, but where he goes beyond that place, I don't know. Luiza just wanted that questioning finished quickly, and that woman disappeared from her door.
"Damn. He might be everywhere, or even, in the forest if he really has something to do with what happened yesterday at night. Could he be the one Uncle Heisenberg was with in the woods? I hope not." Daniela looked away, thinking about the possibility that the boy might be in the forest. It was the best option for her at that moment.
-Ugh, well, it was just what I wanted to know. Thank you. Daniela was getting away from Luiza's door, walking slowly.
- Is there something else that I can do to help you, Ma'am? Luiza asked, thinking the skies for that demon is going away in her thoughts.
- You'd help much more if I haven't got to look for him in another place because you can't keep your guests at ease. Daniela answered, with disdain.
- I, I'm sorry, Ma'am. Luiza didn't know what the hell she made a question like that one. Just to seem more helpful in exchange for getting a kick? She cursed herself for it.
Daniela stepped a little more ahead, and then, her body began to break and defragment in a swarm of flies, and flew away from there. That reminded her that she was in a real and horrible nightmare where she could never escape from, like an October 30 that never ends. Surviving an encounter with anyone of Lords, and not losing their farm animals to certain "thiefs" was a victory for everyone who lives in that village.
Back in the Forest…
…
"Holy fucking shit." Heinsenberg was wondering how the hell a living being like the one that he was seeing with his own eyes, could exist. 7 '5 not counting the two spikes on his back, humanoid, robust… and literally a living source of money and the dream of any gemologist and miner.
Heisenberg would be the only one who had real visual contact with a true alien.
-What does this look like for you? The creature's voice, or the Ben's, sounded like something more artificial than natural, and deep.
- Frankly, I was expecting something like The Grey, or even a Xenomorph. But a living chandelier? Impressive. Tell me, what brings you here? Of course you're not on a vacation trip. Heisenberg asked, almost like he didn't want to know more about the specimen which Ben has turned into, like if he had some most relevant topics to talk about, but still impressed to see a Petrosapien for the first time.
-Well, I have a mission to fulfill. Someone told me there's a Halloween party where instead of having people in monster costumes, there's people being killed by true monsters. And I'm here to kick their ass. Next question? Ben, as Diamondhead, asked.
-So, you're a kinda special agent, and a damn emphasis on "special". But, what or who do you work for? Don't tell me Area 51 is making super soldiers with alien watches each one, huh? Heisenberg was really intrigued.
"If that's the case, there's no army in the world that can take this on." The Lord thought.
-No, there's only one of it, and it's merged with my DNA. Ben said, pointing his Greenish crystal finger at the Omnitrix, now located on the middle of his dark purple chest, between two small crystal spikes.
(I'm using the UAF version of Diamondhead in this story. It's visually better and more realistic than the others, at least to me.)
- Got it. Well, if what you say is really true, maybe we can both help each other. Heinsenberg said, getting Ben's attention.
- What? Ben asked, confused.
- Straight to the point, the place is exactly what you said before: a bloody Halloween party which it's happened for a long time. A party where my siblings and I weren't invited… but forced to join it. Not just us, but everyone in the village.
That winged bitch you saw in the cave yesterday at night is the one who's behind the scenes of this horror show. Heisenberg said what Ben has already known: that Miranda and the Lords are not the saints or something like the villagers' thoughts.
False religious indoctrination is an old dictatorial government tactic to subdue people, nations, or even whole planets like the Incourseans and Highbreeds.
They're just innocent people stuck in a village isolated from the rest of the world, under control of an anti-human and authoritarian regime, forced to live like poor lambs surrounded by wolves.
It was like the Dark Ages have never gone.
-She gave you these magnetic and electric powers in exchange for your obedience and loyalty to her, just like your siblings. I assume. Ben assumed, getting more about everything that was going on there.
- Almost this. She shoved down our throats disgusting parasites that when it doesn't kill or turns you into a brainless beast, it turns you into someone with certain powers and abilities if the host is a lucky bastard… like me. Heinsenberg said, quietly, but a bit of anger, disgust and frustration could be noted in his voice.
At this point, Ben has already got everything, or at least the most part.
The man at his front appeared to have been an experiment and victim of a bird-woman who also appeared to be a kinda… mutated crazy scientist? And what kind of parasite that guy is talking about? And the brainless beasts… would it be the Lycans?
If that's the case, they'd like the DNAliens, and the parasites, like the Xenocites.
For Ben, it was even nostalgic to think about this.
-I see. And you need my help to rebel against her, but, and your siblings? Ben asked the last thing he needed to know at that moment.
- Well, Donna and Moreau are not able enough to help me. And the Lady Super Sized Bitch? I don't even need to talk about her. You've seen like she is. I'm alone, unless you agree to help me. I just can't give you nothing in exchange for it. Heisenberg said, still uncertain If that alleged partnership could work, or even to hear a "yes" from that huge crystal being coming from who knows where, but it's his only and the best attempt to get what he's wanted for so long: freedom and dignity.
"I'm here, begging for help from a brat who I've never seen before and has an "alien magic watch". What does that make me? A human for a change? Or just a poor thing who doesn't even deserve such help?" The infamous Lord wondered. Be most dangerous of the Lords also implied to do things that even himself hated. Things that he never would do if he was not what many people would call… freak.
He was the only one of them who still had humanity, or at least, it was that he told to himself. He was lost in his own negative thoughts when he heard:
-And who said you owe me something else? Ben asked, before a sound coming from the Omnitrix rings out, from high to low tone, and the same flash of green light appeared and disappeared instantly. Ben was back in his human form again.
-I can help you, and I'll do it. But I need, I mean, we need to be sure we can trust each other. And no, you owe me nothing. Ben said much more than a "yes", more than Heisenberg was expecting.
Ben came closer to him and offered his hand for a handshake, and consolidating a deal.
Heisenberg was a bit surprised when he saw the boy simply accepting to help him, like he has nothing to lose or fear, and it's a fact.
Turning into his human form and offering him a handshake without caring if he may get electrocuted, meant Ben really wanted to trust him.
"He's soft hearted." Heinsenberg smiled slightly, before Ben and him shook hands, without pranks from both the sides.
A deal between Ben and Heisenberg has been done.
-Well, this talk was nice, but I need to go.
The Three Panthers may be hunting me now. Ben said, making Heisenberg remember that the Lady Super Sized Bitch could be looking for Ben at that moment.
"I wish to be there to watch this brat massacring those crazy witches and their mother, and how he'd do that." Heinsenberg would have to leave the dream of killing your so-called sister and her daughters to another person, but Ben had no plans to kill anybody. He's never had.
-Relax, they could do nothing against that…, What do you call that? Heinsenberg finally asked about the transformation that Ben showed him.
- Oh yeah, it's Diamondhead. Petrosapiens are pretty tough, and I have that other one, too. I still need to name it. Ben said, making Heisenberg even more curious about the Omnitrix and Ben's transformations.
- And how many are they? And… Diamondhead? Heinsenberg asked, finding that name a little childish, not to say other thing
- Just enough. Come on, I was just ten when I named it. Ben smiled, while Heisenberg was surprised again.
-Do you have this thing since when you were ten?! Heinsenberg asked, almost not believing.
- Yeah. So, I need to go. I'll be fine… Um, what's your… Ben didn't finish his question, he was interruptor by Heinsenberg.
- You can just call me Karl. The Lord said.
- Ok. And you can call me Ben. See you around, Dr. Frankenstein. Ben was already walking away from where Heisenberg was.
The Lord was still amazed with the boy and that watch on his wrist. If he had that watch since he was ten, where the fuck has he been for so long, or has he been done? Where does he really come from?
"Who the fuck are you, Tennyson?"
