"Of course, the one Saturday I go to get coffee with you, Paris is a literal ice risk!" Marinette laughed, as she and Adrien skated along the sidewalk. He gave her a grin and a wink. "At least it wasn't Frozer this time, my Lady." "True, true. Though speaking of ice, maybe that could be our outing today. Ice skating at the ice risk and getting hot cocoa after."

Adrien caught her as Marinette slipped. "I'm pretty sure they call that a date, but I'm in." Slipping and sliding they eventually reached the ice risk, renting skates at the front desk. "Your lucky, no one about with all this ice about," the lady told them.

Marinette felt herself shiver slightly at the temperature drop as they headed into the arena. She'd always liked ice skating, though she wasn't very good. Holding hands she and Adrien headed over to the stands to lace up their skates.

"You doing okay, Bugaboo?" Adrien asked, as the knot Marinette was trying to tie loosened for the second time. "Hey, your hands are sweaty," he commented. "Guess I'm a little nervous after all." Adrien watched her eyes dart to the ice and back. "Love, I'll be right there if you fall to catch you. Now, give me your hand and follow me."

Marinette gripped Adrien's hand tight as they gilded onto the ice. I wish I could my powers right now, she thought. But ice skating for fun isn't really an emergency. Remember, you have courage.

"Princess, look," Adrien broke her out of her thoughts as he pointed to wear Plagg was skating circles around Tikki happily. "Oh, look how happy and cute they look!" Marinette squealed, clutching Adrien's arm.

She relaxed as music came over the loudspeaker and Adrien led her to the center of the rink. "Adrien, what are you…." "I may not be wearing a mask right now," he told her with a grin. "But I do know how to bogey."

Marinette giggled as Adrien skated away, mesmerized by his skating dance skills. Plagg skated by. "I'm hungry!" he wailed, as he slid on his tummy. Marinette laughed. "When did you become such a good skater, Plagg?" Plagg stopped his wining, and puffed up with the compliment. "I had to do something during the Ice Age, didn't I?" he asked, a wicked gleam in his eye. "Plagg, you didn't…." "Help me find the last piece of chocolate cake this morning?" Adrien skated by, whisking her away. "No, start the Ice Age. And cake for breakfast, really?" "Hey, your coffee has just as much sugar if not more." "Yes, but a caffeined Bugaboo is a happy Bugaboo."

Finally, tired from skating but glowing from the fun they had, Marinette and Adrien headed to Starbucks for the promised hot chocolate and a quick detour on the way home for Plagg's cheese.

Sure, the weather outside wasn't delightful, but ice skating with her partner was eventful!
